Dubai Desert Safari with BBQ Dinner, Sandboarding, Camels & Shows

A fun evening with some areas for improvement

Let me start by saying that we did enjoy this tour, and in fact recommend it. But it could have been better in many ways. We were picked up from our hotel in a nice white SUV. You will see many such SUVs heading to the desert. We were driving slower than everyone else because of an underinflated tire, but all was generally well. We arrived at the dunes and had noted that we did not plan to rent quad bikes etc. When we arrived we basically waited in a big common area full of people trying to sell you add ons to the experience. There was limited seating for us, and just a lot of waiting around - for more than an hour. Then we went dune bashing in the SUV and that was AWESOME. It was thrilling and a bit scary in a good way. It was really exciting. We did some sand boarding as well and everyone was having fun. We then drove to the camp for dinner. We were again offered to be upsold to a better dinner, better this, better that. Always being upsold. Dinner was basic but enjoyable enough, without the upgrade. The camel ride was odd, as one of the camp people was yelling at the camel owner as he tried to take my family on a short circular route next to the parking lot. The show was interesting, especially the fire guy> All in all an enjoyable evening but with some areas for improvement. Less waiting around and less upselling would be great. As would more dune driving.

Great experience with our guide Abbas

We had the most amazing time with our guide Abbas! He was so patient with our 3 kids and made it fun for them! We absolutely loved it. He even took all our family photos. So so happy! Thanks!

Life time experience

Nawaz was amazing, he explained every step of the the desert Safari 🏜. He was extremely attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. Nawaz was personable and protective over his customers making us feel safe... 10 out of 10!

Sand everywhere....and it was Great!

The entire experience was amazing! Nawaz was GREAT! He was accommodating and patient. He went above and beyond to help us capture the essence of the moment. It was an excursion that I will not soon forget.

Desert safari experience

We had one of the best experience with the tour, our tour guide and driver Abbas had a great personality, he was not only a tour guide nd an amazing driver, but also a great photographer. I highly recommend this tour, you will get a great safari plus an a great time with the ride as well. Book any of ur tours!

A day with Nawaz and Safico Travel and Tourism

Great way to experience...

Great way to experience the desert. A little bit of waiting around in between activities which wasn’t made clear beforehand but otherwise, really enjoyed it!

Great desert ride experience

Well organized and desert ride was far the best. Friendly and competent tour guide, dinner was ok. Good.

The best part cost extra money

The best part of this tour was not included in the package I actually paid for, the self driven ATV in the desert was amazing, this is a hefty additional charge but worth it. Dune bashing was ok. The fire show was outstanding however the belly dance and tanoura dance shows were ok. The experience at the camp was overwhelming. There was Henna, 1 finger was free anything else was an extra charge. There was as shisha area which was free as long as you remained in that area. The food was good but you couldn’t enjoy it because every few seconds someone was trying to sell you something from pictures, ice cream, juice, snacks, shisha and then some more. There was constantly someone in your face every few seconds selling something, then when you say no thank you, they continue to push products on you and get upset when you don’t engage. Oh, I can’t forget about the VIP option, for 50 dirham you can sit slightly away from the general population and have a waiter bring your food and drinks to your table, which is a great idea but they were not exempt from the peddlers. The overall experience was mediocre.

We had a great time with Nawaz as our guide. He was prompt with pick up and made sure we had a good time with all activities and took some fun pictures with us.

Fabulous afternoon with Habib doing doing a desert safari including dune buggy, camel riding, Bbq diner and entertainment - belly dancing, traditional twirling dancing and fire throwing breathing. Habib was a generous host helpful and attentive. Great value for money.

Amazing Tour

This is the 2nd time I booked with Saifco! The guides will WhatsApp me the pick up time in advance. Abbas our tour guide is very knowledgeable and friendly! During our journey to the dessert, he introduced all the landmark that we went passed. He made the journey so comfortable! 👍

Could not recommend this experience enough!! Our tour guide Nawaz was hands down the best driver, guide & photographer the whole afternoon and night. The three shows at dinner were nothing but exceptional too. Definitely a day I will remember for the rest of my life!

Strongly recommend

We were a group of five people who booked a desert safari tour with Saifco Travels and Tours. All of us were filled with joy and had an amazing time during the tour. The highlights of the experience included the mesmerizing Belly Dancing Show and the captivating Fire Show. The dune-bashing adventure in a 4x4 land cruiser provided us with thrilling moments. The land cruiser itself was new and well-maintained, and the driver was excellent and knowledgeable, sharing insightful information about Dubai's history.

A Jaw Dropping experience!

This was my second time booking a tour with saifco tours. I stayed for five days in dubai with my friends. The staff really made us feel like home. We booked dessert safari with saifco. The management was really cooperative, listened to all our suggestions and helped us theoughout. The driver was on time and made us experience the joy of a lifetime. It was a jaw dropping experience and it was nothing ahirt of surreal. The sandunes and the views were breathtaking and mesmerizing. The staff really made us comfortable from the point of pickup to the end of the tour. They were always available for our needs and concerns. I will definitely recommend saifco to anyone visitng dubai. They have a professional staff and they know how to cater to the needs of individuals as well as families

Great experience!

I would 100% recommend this tour! we had a really nice day, Naveed picked us up and gave us great service. He was very nice and helpful and made sure we saw everything and had great experiences. This included desert safari and really good food - it’s a must if you want to see the desert with a great tour guide.

Too much fun!!!

This was the highlight of our trip!! Our guide Naveed was the absolute best!! Hands down our favorite activity with our two teen kiddos so far!

Abbas was a nice guide, we really enjoyed. Very patient and attentive. Calls everyone by name. Good with communication skills. Keeps track of his team and spots them amongst crowd.

Awesome trip

A super fun afternoon. The dune bashing was wild, Abid was our guide and his driving skills were insane! The shows and dinner were really good.

Family desert outing

Great experience! Abbas our driver was wonderful. He picked us up promptly from our hotel and took our family out to the red dune desert where we partook in dune buggy riding, sand boarding and dune bashing. He was a very good guide and got us to our destination before it was too busy. Afterwards we went to the desert tent where we enjoyed dinner and shows. Abbas took great care of us!

Memorable but never again

Too commercialised, too many people trying to (up)sell and the dune bashing was crazy dangerous. Our driver/guide was very nice and for sure very experienced but I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who values their life. We were very scared. Dinner/show was ok, nothing special although the fire performance was great. The best part of this tour was spending time in the desert outside of the car just taking in the scenery and sunset.

Wonderful Desert Safari Tour With Abbas

My wife and I had the most amazing and memorable day in Dubai when we did the Desert Safari tour. Abbas was a fantastic tour guide. He speaks English and was very engaging from the time he picked us up until drop off. The Dune bashing was particularly breathtaking. An experience i would definitely recommend.

Overall lots of fun with one caveat.

Our guide Abbas was super - 5/5. He was friendly, easy going and highly informative in discussing the region and culture where we were visiting. Also a very skilled dune basher with his 4x4, lots of fun. Sand boarding was also a lot fun. The bbq dinner and show is where this review looses a point. The actual show with 3 performances was great but the atmosphere was a bit carnival like/cheesy and the food was less than mediocre. But all and all I would definitely recommend the experience.

Really fun way to spend a day in Dubai

Our driver Abbas was kind enough to drive out to Umm al Quwain to collect us from our hotel, and was a great driver and tour guide providing us with lots of information about Dubai as we drove about and then taking us dune bashing as well as the other activities. The desert camp where you end the day is quite fun, but if we went again we wouldn't pay extra for the VIP experience as the queue for the buffet wasn't bad and we were constantly pestered by sales people selling their wares. The camel ride is also approximately 30 seconds long so not really worth it. The 3 shows were pretty impressive, especially the fire breather!

Great variety of activities, great guide

The favourite part of the experience was how well Munir took great care to handle our group and showed us the activities that were part of the package. It is definitely a package that I would recommend to do if you are in Dubai for a couple of days

Amazing experience thanks to Naveed.

Dubai desert safari was A great experience. Mostly because of our driver- Naveed who was taking care of us at all times and of course he is a very skilled desert driver - the dunes bashing was amazing! We felt safe and had lots of fun. Driver made sure we were safe and comfortable at all times: in the dessert, in the Bedouin camp and during all other parts of the trip. Grill food could have been better and more, but this was a minor part of our trip. I totally recommend this amd of you can choose the driver I def think that Naveed is the best! He also knows how to take amazing pictures! Thank you Naveed.

Not to be missed :)

This was the funniest experience of my life, a driver who got lost on the way turning a 1hr trip to 1 1/2, thought I was in desert safari before we got there due to his reliance on late braking (or maybe that’s how they drive in Dubai!), stopped for quad biking for an extra 250 AED (we hadnt pre-booked it, a lovely American couple who had were asked for an extra 800 AED for an upgrade !!) again hilarious as it’s a small area of sand to drive round for half hour, it was dull so sacked it off after 15 minutes for an over priced warm Diet Coke from the ‘cafe’, then back in the half destroyed 4x4 to go dune busting), unfortunately due to poor navigation/ terrible driving we crashed into a derelict house, near on rolled it, thought I was gonna puke & then he burst a tyre, thank god, cue the fly infestation while the poor lad tried to inflate said ruined tyre, 20 minutes later tyre was re-inflated & drove 10 yards on snot filled tyre & said go sandboard on a board which had more friction than my 1st girlfriends knees!! It didn’t work as apparently the board was broken, watched 2 German lads try their best while the wind whipped sand into every orifice I have as they boarded down a litter infested dune at 3mph, back in car to the Bedouin experience which took an hour to get there as the tyre wasn’t well, saw some bloke twirl around dancing with a spinning top skirt, ate some decent food to be fair, chicken tikka etc with non alcoholic drinks even tho I proper needed a skin full! Onto the Camels with 1 bad tempered one who my Mrs rode for 2 minutes but was funny, (saw the guy later punch the camel which was horrific / why I don’t participate in riding camels or donkeys at Blackpool beach, altho in my younger days i was ridden by a fat cow or two near the prom for a battered sausage & chips with scraps), left to be pestered by a dude with an eagle strapped to his arm wearing a helmet (the bird not the guy) asking £10 for a photo, I’ve seen more entertainment in Salou watching a parrot riding a bike for free to be honest, still I drank 7 cans of Fanta in an attempt to get me monies worth, dawdled round for an hour, henna tattoo Sir? No thanks, Bottle of sand sir? No thanks? Coffee sir? No thanks I’ve drank shed loads of Fanta!! went for a slash in bogs which were 1 inch deep in blind man pews urine & devoid of bog roll, I needed a quick wipe after the dune busting experience only the find the bog roll was a tad sandy & being a sufferer of piles decided not to swipe! So back into 4x4 for a slow ride back to town due to his flat tyre / inability to drive / brake as late as possible, just about survive we went to the ‘Trophy Bar’ at the Fairmont Hotel and got absolutely spannered! would I recommend this trip? Hell yeh :)

Great entertainment

The tour guide went out of his way to make the day fantastic. Prompt pick up, exceptionally clean car. He explained his attire. We arrived ahead of the crowd at the first stop. He took videos and photos and at the end of the day he sent a copy. I only wish we had used this company for our tour of Abu Dhabi.

Great Desert safari

Desert safari was awesome the 4x4 car driver was amazing its a must do activity in Dubai you will enjoy it. After Safari they take you to bbq if you have booked from travel website this comes as a package BBQ Dinner, Sand Boarding, Camel Ride & 3 Live Shows - camel ride included in the package is just a stroll within a small circle if you want to go out of that you have to pay more(sounds like you been fooled) sandboarding dint find it 3 live shows were touch above average. Dont fall for the VIP seat scam( we actually fell for it) they charge 50AED per person giving talk about everything will be served in your seat nothing like that happened even for cold drink we literally had to beg and fight as far as BBQ was concerned they give you 2 piece at a time and shoo you away saying finish this an come back you cant take as per your wish and once any dish is over its over and if you are late there will be nothing left they tell you on the face its over more will be available..overall 50AED is paid to get humiliated the normal seat wont hurt you the seats are more like bean bag i suppose one can sit comfortably.... Only advice is if you could only take desert safari it would be amazing..ignoring bbg and other stuff wont hurt you in any way its more of a facade 3 stars are only for the safari...for BBQ and other things associated i would give 1 star

Honeymoon at the Dessert Safari

Me and my husband went on our honeymoon and the Dessert Safari with BBQ, sandboarding, and 3 live shows; was one of the best experiences we've ever had. Newaz was our tour guide for this trip. He was no.1 best tour guide and photographer. He looked after us from picking us up at the hotel till the very end. We would definately recommend Newaz for anyone who is new to this experience. When you book just ask for Newaz as your tour guide. Many thanks again Newaz you have been amazing and professional throughout the trip. 😊👍💪

Fantastic afternoon/evening experience in the desert. Relatively expensive but highly recommended.

We packed a lot into the six hours between our hotel pick up and drop off. Abbas, our driver/guide was excellent and very informative. Felt slightly uncomfortable for our first stop, which was to (unexpectedly) buy some Arabic scarfs (but these were invaluable later). Second stop and we were tempted to go on quad bikes following a guide. This was an expensive optional extra but an unforgettable experience in the middle of a sandstorm and some light rain in the desert. This was spoilt slightly by a mid way stop for some photos with a falcon, and some more unexpected costs. Definitely recommend the more expensive guided option though. Next was ‘sand bashing’ where we were driven up, down and around the dunes. This was great fun too. We stopped for some memorable sunset (and Rainbow) photos, which Abbas took and immediately sent to us via WhatsApp. We then headed to a different part of the desert for an evening BBQ and show. Three fantastic acts; belly dancer, high speed spinning dancer and a fire eater/entertainer. Final thing was a short camel ride before our drive back to our hotel. Great overall package, even if it turned out much more expensive than we originally thought.

Amazing experience

The dune ride was excellent - my kids enjoyed it very much -such a memorable experience. The BBQ was also very good and the dinner entertainment was really cool - especially the fire display

Tourist scams

The tour guide was great and the overall experience was fun! However I will not give a five star because at each stop there was tourism scams. For example after the dune ride we stopped to clean the car and the shop wanted 60 aed for 2 ordinary ice creams? The bbq dinner was served cold and not tasty. We payed extra for a VIP table which was another tourist scam. It was suppose to include ac and wifi, the wifi did not work and ac was useless. It was also suppose to include local outfit and picture with a Falcon, which we did not get and they tried to sell it to us once again for extra money. So there are a lot of room for improvements.

Great way to start our desert experience.

What a great way to start our Dubai experience! It had a little bit of everything. Riding the dunes was fun as well as Sand Dune Boarding!!

Would go again!

We went yesterday, it was excellent, driver Dat collected us, treated us with respect. Safari was really nice and there is no photo which can describe beauty of the desert. Food was nice, tasty, self catering, fresh made. Highly recommended. Driver Dat was knowledgeable and took good care of us. Would go again for sure

Safari with fantastic guide Abbas - a must do for any first visit to dubai!

We had an amazing experience on the desert safari - Abbas made everything so easy for us and took great care of us so all we had to do was sit back and enjoy! We'd great fun in the group, it was a brilliant day out and the evening was particularly entertaining! Thank you Abbas, 10/10 would recommend.

Amazing

It's was wonderful! Definitely worth the money!!! Beautiful experience , we had a baby 10 month old and even with a baby we were gone for a trip safari and we have enjoyed everything!
