Relaxing and Enjoyable Day in Hatta

We enjoyed the day in Hatta and our guide was wonderful. He was prompt and very knowledgeable. A few things I think people should know before booking this tour. It is nice having a private car and driver. Our first stop was the man-made lake in Hatta. It was beautiful and new; however, it was undergoing preparations for an upcoming festival so you could just walk around the lake, nothing else was open or operating. Second stop was the Hatta Dam: nice views. They offer various types of boats for rental: Kayak (single and double) 16 AED; Paddle boat (up to 4 people) 150 AED; donut boat 300 AED. We did the paddle boat and enjoyed it. (rental fees not included in tour) Third stop was Hatta Heritage Village and Watch Tower. There was nothing open with exception of 1 restaurant. No other shops or activity. It appeared to all be under construction still. We walked up to the Watch Tower for a scenic view of the town. Note: the tower was not open. Fourth Stop: Swan Lake, which is basically a large pond with ducks, and 6 or so swan paddle boats. Looks like a good place for families with children. Fifth Stop: Hatta Hill Park. Stairs up to another tower, which was open. The pool at this location was closed for work. Sixth and final stop: Hatta Honey Bee Centre (Ticket Not Included). This by far was our favorite stop of the day. It was 50 AED per person (adults). They do an excellent tour of the bee farm once you are dressed in appropriate attire. Fun and interesting. There is also honey tasting which was surprisingly varied with about 8 different types of honey. There was no mention of Hatta Wadi Hub or Hatta Leem Lake so not sure if they were not open or what the story was there. Again, we really did enjoy the day and Malik (our guide) did a wonderful job. He even circled back to the dam so I could pickup a souvenir as there doesn't appear to be any other places that sell them. If you have an extra day in the Dubai area, I would recommend this day trip. It is a very beautiful place and the drive is nice.

Amazing tour😍

I felt overwhelmed by the experience i got to participate in a trip to hatta managed by Roar adventure tourism. The professionalism on driving, friendly behavior of the organizer and all associated events during the journey are all my life time memories . Thank you for making me part of the amazing trip.

Waste of time and money

Most of the attractions were closed. The only good attraction was the Dam but they take you around midday which the hottest part of the day. I stopped the tour midway and asked the driver to return back. That’s how miserable the whole trip was

Bad and worst experience

This tour is an absolute waste of time and money. Most places are closed. The tour guide has no clue which of the places are operating or open. We went to see Heritage Village only to find out it was closed. We were taken to the Dam around 11am. By this time direct heat from sun is super hot and not fit for anyone to do any kind of outdoor activity. In October the temperature is close to 40 degrees Celsius in noon, can’t image the heat in mid day during rest of the year. This tour should be either Morning or Evening tour. In Hatta, most activities are outdoor activities and can not be done after 10am and before 4pm. Please don’t waste your money on whole day tour. The tour company should first of all offer only Morning or Evening trips. Tourist will not know intensity of heat even after checking the weather and being prepared before hand. Here the workers who work outdoors, like, construction are given break for 2 to 3 hours during mid day for safety reasons. Where is this precaution for tourists who are new and have no idea on local circumstances. To highlight, the driver himself will not get out if the air-conditioned car, while we tourist are suppose to scorch in the sun. Please don’t take this tour and waste your time and money.

The Hatta tour

I really feel the best place in Gulf region THE HATTA one and only. The weather, mountains amd water made me fresh. The tour guide was really nice person, i will definitely recommend to everyone who want to have perfect weekend.

Nice ride in the Hatta city

Smooth drive with Mr. Asad who taught us many stories along the way about Dubai and Hatta. The bee center is super fun and insightful. Maybe not the best time for us to visit as the heritage village was closed and a bit too hot for us for a hike. Note that many areas are under construction.

6 hours trip from Dubai to visit Hatta mountains .A friendly driver Malik and 5/6 stops to discover amazing landscapes. Very refreshing compared to Dubai !

My guided tour to Hatta

My guide Hamid was excellent, explaining the different areas along the way and what they are known for. Kayaking was great in the dame, beautiful experience in the water. We also visited the Heritage Village which was so quient and historic with a mosque that is over 20” years old! lasted we visited Hatta Bee Farm. I was able to purchase many madicinal honeys right from the source!!

It was pleasant trip. The tour guide’s music in the car was a nice touch. We would appreciate if the receipt was given by Roar after the tour.

One of the best tour operator for hatta mountain tour 200 percent recommended hatta kayaking is best Honey bee is amazing experience there is alot of construction but still our guide was manage to take us from shorts cuts thanks to Mr Abbasi

Give the tour and the operator a miss

Save your money and give this trip and tour operator a miss!!! First stop was the damn…. However it wasn’t even open yet… so we got taken to the heritage centre, which was all shut up, nothing open. So we got taken to sit by a pond to wait till damn opened. Honey bee experience was good. Then got taken to the activity centre where again most activities were not available. Remember on this trip there is only a very short time at each place so you can’t wait for the next session. Hatta itself is unremarkable…. Unfortunately tourism has ruined it and it’s now like a construction site, a shame I informed the tour operator of my experience and they just basically said I was lying and everything was open!!! So I would definitely give this a miss, not worth the money

We had a great time. Our guide Malik was excellent and knowledgeable. The tour programme was nicely organised and there was flexibility in the programme as well. A very nice experience.

Great day in Hatta

Malik was a great driver. I felt very safe as a solo, female traveler. The car was clean. There were many awesome stops along our day trip. Kayaking, as well as visiting the honeybee museum were highlights. I would recommend asking the guide at the beginning of the day what each of the stops are, so you know how long you’d like to spend at each one, based on your preferences. There is so much to do and Hatta. Having a guide made it easy to get from Dubai and around Hatta. I would recommend this tour.

Waste of time and money

We were really looking forward to this trip - but unfortunately it started badly with a guide who barely spoke a word to us from the moment he picked us up and continued to go downhill from there!! We got to the Hatta Dam - having gone to the sand buggies first - despite this not being on the itinerary and us stating we did not wish to go!! The guide made no attempt to get out of the car - unlike other guides we have had - and we wandered around for 10 mins looking at a dam before being driven off again to a very small patch of water with some geese on! Then we were told the heritage village did not open until 4pm - so we would not be going - one of the main parts of the tour. We drove straight past Hatta Hill Park - no attempt to stop by the guide - this was on the list to do so ???? Then onto the Bee Discovery Centre - oh - also closed!! Guide didn't say anything - just drove off! Would appear that during Ramadan nothing opens early - Wadi hub didn't open until 11am - we got there before 10 and there was nowhere to get even a drink! We had nothing since leaving the hotel! We would have been happy to alter the timings of the trip to allow for the late openings but this was not given to us as an option. Following all of this we told the guide to take us back to the hotel as this trip was a monumental waste of time and money. He proceeded to drive like he was at a race track and we felt so unsafe in the car. Not a word was uttered by him - even when we exited the car. I followed this up with the company directly and was assured that they would provide us with another alternative and gave us a list - we chose one and they then tried to charge us for this! OK it was half the amount - but it was like for like - we had paid for a private tour of Hatta - so we chose a private tour of Abudhabi! Not to be!! After much backwards and forwards we requested a marina dinner cruise - to be told they would book it and confirm with us - they did not - surprise surprise. Contacted them again and they promised to book it for another evening and send us location and details by the next afternoon - did they?? Oh no - they certainly did not - and i have all this as proof on Whatsapp conversation - so i can prove it! What they did do at one point was try to turn it around on us and ask why we were so annoyed as we had booked the tour in the first place!!??!!?? Well - funny enough - this company has been in business for many years and would know that places do not open early during Ramadan - something we did not know until recently! So it would be their responsibility to either alter the times respectively or give people the choice to change to another option by informing them!! Do not recommend this at all

Serene mountains and lakes

It was an overall refreshing and fulfilling experience to leave the city behind and discover the mountains and lakes in the countryside. Any trip to the UAE is incomplete without this tour. The weather was neither too hot nor too cold and kayaking was perfect.

Tour ok but fantastic guide

Excellent tour. Hatta was not thrilling but our driver/guide was perfect giving a lot of interesting information. He was also very flexible and since we had extra time in the end we could experience things that were not in the initial programme.

Hiking and sites in Hatta

Hatta was a nice place to visit and to get you out of the city of Dubai for a day. They have many things to do like horseback riding, zip lining and hiking. We hiked to the Hatta sign. The problem was we were told to hike from the wrong starting trailhead. Make sure your on the hiking trail and not the bike trail. Once we figured it out it was fine. We also went to Hill Park, And the Bee Farm which was very interesting and fun. Would recommend that experience.

It was excellent. We enjoy our day. I think it’s the best thing that I have don in Dubai for the moment.

Les sites étaient fermés pour la plupart mais nous étions contents de quitter Dubaï ville pour voir autre chose. L'expérience a été ternie par l'attitude du chauffeur. Il n'est jamais sorti de son véhicule même pour nous accueillir à la sortie de l'hôtel. Il a passé la majeure partie de son temps au téléphone ignorant notre présence. De plus, notre sécurité n'était pas assurée car il regardait constamment son téléphone en conduisant. Très mauvaise expérience. Nous sommes un couple qui avons l'habitude de voyager et c'est la 1ère fois qu'une excursion nous procure une sensation aussi négative.
