Lift problem in Burj Khalifa

The lift suddenly stop at level 107 and reverted back to level 125. It happened two times in a row. Then the lift stop again at level 82 then revert to level 125 for 2 times in a row. Everyone in the lift got panicked including myself.

Amazing Experience

It was an outstanding experience at the world’s tallest building Burj Khalifa. The visit to the 124th floor on top was mesmerizing. What a view of Dubai City you get from this top floor. Dubai's infra & glass building shines everywhere. Most photogenic spot, with tons of photos clicked by everyone. We booked the trip for 10 am, helped us to reach the top floor w/o any queue waiting. In the same Dubai Mall, Aquarium& underwater zoo was a nice experience as well. Our kid enjoyed this a lot at this Aquarium. Tons of fishes, even penguins are there to pay & visit. Overall I will highly recommend visiting Burj Khalifa top floor view is a must. For kids, the Aquarium visit is the best you can give them as a gift.

The most amazing building I have ever been in. Scarey views all the way down to the ground. The presentation showing the stages of the building was amazing. Ure got to see this building.

Not a miss - prefer Night visit

This is very cool. I visited with family at night. The view of the Dubai with lights is really cool. From the deck you can also see the fountain down. See pictures I attached. Plan your time well. There may be a big line to get in here. Watch the history and making of the Burj Khalifa as well. Those are also good. I enjoyed those. The deck is usually crowded. Find a space near the glass to take pictures and watch the scene. Enjoy Dubai ...

Total Shambles

We purchased our tickets on-line in advance of our visit on 24th September. We arrived early as request (19:15 for 20:00). It took an hour and 15 minutes from check-in to get to the lift at the base of the building due to the sheer number of people - pure greed, pack them in and take their money (apart from being unsafe!). Once we arrived at the viewing platform it was impossible to move around and so we found the queue to go back down. Hundreds of people were in a 'queue' trying to do the same. Everyone was crammed into a small space and people started panicking at one point because of the crush. Only two lifts were being used to take people up and down. The person who was attempting to supervise the loading of the lifts had totally lost control. The whole experience was a shambles and if this is typical, it's an accident waiting to happen. If I could rate this experience lower than this I would. My advice to anyone is save your time and money and go for a meal instead.

Get your tickets from tour operator!!! We got no tickets and no attraction

Tour guide that was supposed to provide tickets disappeared and answered no emails or messages and didn’t pick up phone prior and on the day of the event itself. Spoke to Burj Khalifa staff themselves and they advised the tour operator had not even purchased the tickets we paid for 3 weeks prior therefore we were not allowed in as attraction was already at capacity. Total waste of time and effort and feel very disappointed as paid for attraction that was never booked with the attraction itself. Not one single response from the tour operator therefore I call this fraudulent!

Be careful to get your actual tickets early as possible from service provider!!

Company providing tickets suddenly not responding to messages and requests for our tickets even though they were paid for 3 weeks prior. Left us at site with no tickets and no way of entry as venue was already fully booked even for new bookings. Wasted 3 hours trying to resolve and everyone very disappointed .

Disgraceful

Absolutely disgraceful experience. We booked the trip to visit the Burj khalifa. No one turned up. No communication from them unlike other agents such ABC tours. Phone line is dead. Upon asking the concierge in our hotel, the company has been in non existence for almost two years. Why the hell is it still on TripAdvisor!!!!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

It was amazing

Everything was perfect! The transportation was on time. The Berj khalifa was everything I had imagined.

We were dropped at dubai mall entrance at around 4 pm and briefed to go to aquarium first and burj khalifa time for us was 7pm. Long line to collect the already booked ticket to burj khalifa. The line to visit burj khalifa was also very long. I disliked such long queue. Finally, we entered a lift and reached 124 floor observation deck. Again very crowded. The view of dubai did not seem so special such as to stand in long queue after paying good money for ticket. Such views are seen from airplane window also, albeit not of dubai. For taking the lift going down, again long queue. I, personally would not visit this again. Also reserve some time to reach your return pickup vehicle after visiting dubai mall and fountain at correct time.

Viewing from the top of Burj Khalifa

Seeing the view at Burj Khalifa was fabulous but when we called for transportation to return to our hotel, no one answered the phone. Our party of four had to take a taxi back to our hotel.

Great view

It was a great experience and you should plan it in your trip to Dubai. View was great. We had the ticket for 3 pm and there were not to many people. However, the pick up driver did not know exactly where to drop us off.

Amazing views

We had time slots which means nothing really as we got there for our 11 am slot but just had to still queue to get in lifts which was about 45 minutes then you were like sardines in a tin. Got to viewing g point which was amazing but only really need about half an hour to see views then you had to cue again half an hour to get out. All staff was very friendly . If you can afford the VIP package then go for it as it saves queueing.

Stunning Views

It's definitely a one of a kind experience to be at the top of the tallest building in the world. The views are amazing and you can see for miles and miles. Enjoyed the entire tour and experience, felt that it was well organized and really well designed.

Great experience, very crowded & rude staff

We purchased our tickets online, so when we attended the ‘at the top’ counter within the mall we had to queue up to redeem our tickets. Whilst this queue was shorter than the purchase line, there was still a little wait. Our time was 16:30, and we had a further 30 minute wait to actually get to the lift. When we got to the top, it was very crowded with people everywhere, we had some professional pictures taken, as this was the only way we could get a picture together. It was a little hazy, and view wasn’t great, but when we did get to look out it was lovely. When we went into the shop on level 124 to look at pictures, we found the weren’t very good and had other guests in them. We asked the lady on the photograph counter to crop the pictures and cut out the people in them. She was very snappy and rude to us. We then asked if there was an option to email / download the images electronically and she snapped at us again. She eventually quoted us 950 AED for the 6 pictures, which we felt was a little steep. We stayed on level 124 until it went dark at 6pm and then watched the fountain show. It was good to watch it from up there, after watching it at ground level a few days earlier. The queues to get the lifts down was very long, and eventually a member of staff took some of us to some separate lifts, we had to take 3 in total, and came out in the hotel, before exiting into the mall. On the way out we came across another photograph shop. We asked the member of staff if he could find our images manually as the rude female from upstairs had taken our tickets. He was extremely helpful, and found them in no time. He talked us through the options, and explained we could have a USB of the images for 150AED, which is exactly what we were after.

Great tour deceptive wording.

While yes, you do skip the "purchase" line, you do not skip the line to redeem your voucher not the long wait for the elevators both up and down. Our total wait time was fifty-five minutes to get to the 125th floor. This was annoying as you have to watch several groups with real "skip the line" tickets (called Sky VIP) be escorted part you straight to the elevators on both directions. This is an "on your own" activity with no tour guide. The Burj Khalifa itself is incredible and worth the money. Just don't think that you're not going to wait.

Terrific view especially at sunrise

We join the sunrise tour. The sight for this height is very beautiful, especially at sunrise. But reaching the entrance in the early morning hours is rather difficult since Dubai Mall do not open yet. There should be more clear instruction on how to enter Dubai Mall and access to the entrance hall; even the taxi did not know the drop off zone for this special tour. The elevator was terrific with short video on sights on Dubai.

Excellent

Every thing was ok. The view was excellent, no so much people. Driver was on time. What is my advice, may be to go by metro is cheeper, but you have to plan time more then one hour you need.

See the World At the Top

60 seconds to ascend 125 stories while watching a video on the history of this event. amazing views but I may suggest to try during sunrise. Daytime was still amazing and I enjoyed. Pictures are a little bit hard sold, but if you want to remember grab a few.

Family Trip

Great experience I do highly recommend when in Dubai to do this, the scenery from both observations decks are incredible. Only thing I recommend is the person that brings you to the top don't let him rush you or you will miss certain neat things

Our trip to the sky

I would have given this a 5 star had it not been for the price difference back home!!!!! When at home we looked into visiting the Burj Khalifa at a cost of £33 ish per person but we decided to leave booking until we got here in Dubai. To our horror it cost us £158 total so be aware think we were coned. How can the price escalate so much to almost £80 each? Anyway my husband enjoyed himself it was our 51st wedding anniversary on that day so all good.

Burj Khalifa

The Burj Khalifa was very impressive. The view from the top needs to be seen to be believed. It was very busy at the top with lots posing for selfies, to avoid the high photo prices (285 dirham for 1 photo). Souvenirs and photos are quite pricey but is to be expected inside the venue. What was less impressive was being ‘dumped’ by a taxi in the Dubai Mall car park with the driver pointing in the general direction of the mall entrance. The mall is so vast we didn’t have a clue where to go. Luckily an English speaking family took pity on us and gave us directions.

A bucketlist dream come true

One of my bucklist items was to go up the Burj Khalifa and this attraction met that goal. The only thing was that there was some confusion on how to obtain our tickets as I couldn't seem to retrieve them through the app or in my email. Thankfully our driver was able to call in to someone and obtain a confirmation number for us that we could provide at the checkin counter to obtain our tickets. However, this didn't detract from the experience of going up to the 124th floor and seeing the views. It wasn't a totally clear day so we couldn't see as far as possible but it was still amazing.

Absolutely beautiful!

Really amazing views from the top! Definitely a must when you’re in Dubai! The elevator only takes 60 seconds which is amazing if you don’t like elevators- like me. The gift shop is pricey but most are that are so popular. Even on a cloudy day its an amazing view. Dress conservatively though because you go through the Dubai Mall to see it and they do have a dress code.

Burj Kalifa

Like most other thing in Dubai, the Burn is a fantastic sight, as the tallest building in the world it's a must do, and another box to tick. Having said that it is pretty expensive to go to the top, over £100, the view over Dubai and the Gulf are fabulous, but so are the views from most the rooftop hotel bars, for free ! If you are going up make sure the day is clear weather, because the view is all there is !

Definitely a Wow moment

I purchased ticket ahead of time so that I could chose my time! I believe no matter what time you arrive it is crowded. LOTS of people. Spend the extra and go higher than the 124th floor. Its a little intimidating being up so high, but the view is incredible. This wasn't a must do for me, just seeing it was spectacular. If you have time, then i suggest it.

The views are stunning but as for the "experience" its just like all other tall buildings.

Its almost more impressive from the ground looking up. The entrance is a tad bit confusing - not a lot of direction and the men & women must go through different security lines- causing back ups and line cutting.... Personally, I didn't care but many others did and were quite vocal to those cutting in line. Our driver picked us up as planned - but dropped us off at the Dubai Mall - on the opposite side from the Burj Kalifa and it was a bit distressing since we were on a time sensitive visit.

Visit to be awed and impressed - be up there during the day just before the sunset

Similar to other tallest structures around the world, the Burj Khalifa gives one exciting views from the observation deck at the top. However, the Burj Khalifa now the tallest in the world at 828 meters is meant to awe us with the whole project from concept to the whole process of constructing and even naming it Burj Khalifa. Take time to read all the informaiton given in the various floors, watch the informative videos to be worth it. At night you will not see much.

TOP VIEW

Extremely tall building and very fast lift where you cannot feel yourself moving. Then when you reach the top you walk around on a glass floor and look out over the modern city to way beyond to the endless desert. How clever to create these interesting buildings in such a harsh environment. Beautiful.

AMAZING

THE VIEWS THE BUILT, EVERYTHING IS AMAZING, We went at the sunrise and after our visit we could take a breakfast in the café, included in the ticket. I really recomended Lo recomiendo totalmente fuimos al amanecer ya que en la entrada era más económica e incluía desayuno, o nos arrepentimos para nada, es genial!!!

Worth a visit

Booked in advance. Little bit if queuing but to be expected. Take some time to listen to the displays as they’re quite informative. Probably wouldn’t go again for the money though.

Exceeded expectations

Some queueing at bottom but once at top the crowds weren't too bad. Much better than expected. Professional photos were disappointing quality so didn't buy them, but may have done if better.

It was a beautiful building,but nothing out of the ordinary. I wanted to go to the top and have dinner at night, but it was sold out unfortunately. It was a beautiful site.

Good view of city

Not much crowd and enjoyed the Sunset from 124th floor. I would recommend to go to 124th floor rather than 148. Not sure what difference it will make other than being another 22 floors more. As the sun was setting and it was becoming dark, the view of fountain light show from the ground of Dubai mall was excellent view which everyone should wait and watch.
