Great way to learn about the history and old city

It was a great trip walking around parts of the old city. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and gave everyone time to ask questions, take photos and shop. Definitely better than just walking around yourself, we would definitely recommend this tour. Great to see they are restoring a lot of places.

Fabulous tour

What a fantastic afternoon. Our guide was so informative and happy to share information with us. The tour while hot was really enjoyable. We loved it. From the tour through the Souks to the informative walk through the old buildings. This I can honestly say was one of our highlights.

Dubai tour visit

Cyndie is the best ever. We learned in 2 hrs what we couldn't have learned in 4 days in Dubai. She is very knowledgeable of the history but she was also pleasant. She even decided to wait longer to ensure we would get the best deal at the gold souk

Very good tour

The tour was very good. The guide was knowledgeable and answered our questions. The local food tastings was very good and a nice touch on the tour. I highly recommend to anyone who wants to get an authentic local experience.

Amazing tour guide!

Our guide Ahmad was truly amazing, my 5 years old liked him so much and wanted to walk with him the entire tour. This was definitely one of the best tours I ever had, very entertaining and informative. I would recommend it.

Fun in Dubai

This walking tour was excellent and surpassed our expectations. Cyndi was a great tour guide, very entertaining and informative. She had her work cut out for her, leading the tour in both English and French. We learned a lot about Old Dubai and Arabic culture. It was a very very hot day, but cyndi included many stops indoors or in shaded areas. She also provided bottled waters at the beginning and midpoint of the tour. I really enjoyed getting to walk straight into the Sheikh Mohammed Cultural Centre and straight into the Dubai Creek Abras (boats) without waiting at all. I really enjoyed the historical parts of the tour, but the information on buying spices, cofee, and shopping in thr souks was helpful too. This tour was very affordable and a great way to spend a morning in Old Dubai.

This tour was very enjoyable and exceeded our expectations. Cyndi was a great tour guide and had her work cut out for her, doing the tour in both English and French. It was a very very hot day during the tour, but the tour had lots of stops in the shade or inside buildings. Cyndi also had bottled water available at the beginning and midpoint of the tour. We loved that we were just able to walk right into the Sheikh Mohammed cultural centre and onto the abras (boats) without waiting. Our guide was full of information and suggestions for spending our time in the souks. This tour was very affordable and a good way to see and learn about "Old Dubai".

Something you have to do when visiting Dubai.

The tour was amazing, I had learn a lot about Dubai short but rich history, and the guide was amazingly french and very helpful.

Comfortable walk with lots to learn

The tour was great! Easy to digest history with a comfortable leisure pace in the heat. The tasters included were delicious and the pointers for the market extremely helpful. Very well priced.

As a travel enthusiast and a lover of rich Islamic architectural heritage, I have always been fascinated with this place when I first visited this place in 1985. Was enchanted by the typical Arabian cultural ambience the items on display in the shops, the rich gold souk, the Arabian perfumes especially the non alcoholic Itar, the Oud, the Arabian and Turkish lamps on display with which one has always been fascinated.In addition the local restaurants with Arabic cuisine that’s non spicy and a real treat to the travellers palate. It’s been more than 4 decades now and still counting as Dubai has never stopped fascinating nor enchanting as it’s been a gradual transition and remarkable transformation as it does continue to cast a magic sell over me ! Nice historic walk and awesome guide

We did a private tour with our very friendly and knowledgeable guide - Hichem. He took us to all the good heritage places and avoided the fake area of old Dubai. Will totally recommend this tour to het a super quick (2 hrs) immersive experience of old Dubai. Don’t forget to end the trip with foood at Arabian tea house. Amazing ambience .

Great taste of the old town and souk.

Cindy was a great guide very informative and entertaining. The only reason for 4 stars was it was difficult finding the meeting point and at times the tour seemed a little disorganised due to other tours getting mixed with ours. That said we loved the day and would recommend the tour.

Mustafa was amazing. 10/10 for sure. He was patient and knowledgeable. He didn’t complain as I took my time shopping in the gold souks.

Old Dubai Tour

A great afternoon out, an easy walk with interesting insights and local knowledge of the old historical Dubai precinct. Great to see the Spice and Gold Souk markets. Enjoyed the sights, smells and sounds. The boat trip across the Creek was also magical. Great guide with loads of local information. Would highly recommend to all.

Mesmerising Old Dubai

This tour was one of the highlights of our holiday in Dubai. We had a marvellous time with Cyndi exploring Old Dubai and learning about the history of this interesting place. Cyndi was a friendly and enthusiastic guide with a great sense of humour and lots of fun. My family and I really appreciated the time she took to show us around and the special treats we enjoyed. The abra ride was exciting and the souks were bustling with life. I highly recommend this tour for an authentic experience.

Very good walking tour of the old town. Mustafa our guide was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot from the tour. We visited a number of traditional buildings to hear about how the original settlers lived and worked.

This is a really fantastic tour. Our guide was Cindy and she was excellent. Highly knowledgeable about the area and the culture. She took us on a journey throught he history of Dubai and showed us all the important sites. I enjoyed her sense of humour and her warm personality. The architecture in Old Dubai is beautiful and is a must see. Cindy also introduced us to the various spices in Dubai, gave us some tastings and served us some delicious iced tea. The tour will take you across the creek to Deira and the souks as well. I really enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend Cindy and this tour.

Fantastic tour!

This is a superb tour! Our tour guide was Cindy and she was great! She is extremely knowledgeable about Dubai and told us a lot of interesting facts about the area, the culture and even the various spices. She also made us the most delicious iced tea . I loved walking through Old Dubai and seeing the beautiful architecture. We also were able to hold a falcon on the way to the abra. The souks were busy but we never felt under pressure to buy anything because they could see we were with a guide. Cindy is a lovely person with a great sense of humour and I highly recommend you do the tour with her. I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

I'm fifty on this tour, trip was supposed to start at 10:00am, was there at 10:02 and the first thing the tour guide said was why I didn't tell her I'd be late?fyi we had to wait for others to join, the tour guide was funny and had a lot of knowledge on the town, but the tour seemed hurried and she was quite flippant and didn't engage all of the team and focused on particular individuals so ,it was an average experience is all I can say

Dubai old Town and souks tour.

Our guide was a young lady from France living in Dubai. We were told many details about architecture and why the placement of buildings and how they were constructed. We went inside homes to sample coffee and how people were welcomed then and now. Went to the textile and gold souks which quite amazing. Overall very informative plus our guide was alot of fun and welcoming!

Must do tour, preferably with Mustaffa !!

We had a wonderful guided experience of the old town in Dubai. Mustaffa was an awesome and knowledgeable guide. He also helped us out with paying our taxi when our phone credit card wasn’t working. He gave us lots of used information about the old town, architecture and spices. There was no hassling to purchase anything from Any vendors which was great. A beautiful area to tour with a top guide. Highly recommend

Very enjoyable souk tour

The description was for a private tour but I didn’t expect to be the only tourist-that was a nice surprise. This was basically a quick stopover in Dubai and my second visit. The guide was excellent not only explaining local history but was helpful in my search for harem pants! I would recommend this for a great intro to old Dubai

Dubai Good Vibes

As a solo traveler, I opted to go with a group tour. Cyndy was our tour guide. She did a phenomenal job in building group cohesion and made us feel like a little family. She was knowledgeable about local history, geography, architecture and culture. She captured the warmth and spirit of the local people in her stories that she shared. If you go to Baba’s Cave- make sure you get the curry. And definitely get the dark chocolate date with nuts. I PROMISE there is NONE in the entire UAE that tastes better than it. I have eaten so many chocolate covered dates in Dubai and Abu Dhabi and none has compared. You will regret it if you don’t get it.
