The safari tour overall was amazing. I highly recommend the experience. The trip started a little rocky with some vehicle problems that were quickly resolved. The tour guides made up for the inconvenience with great customer service and an awesome experience on the dunes. The entertainment at the dessert dinner was awesome! Our group was disappointed when we were told that the dinner experience would culminate with some delicious lamb chops. It was later determined that would not be the case. ☹️☹️☹️

Great day in Hatta

Our guide was great and everything well Organizer. It was a funny trip in the dessert without any stressful safari riding. Everything calm. Bee‘s , Dam and Hatta hills gave us a wider view of Dubai.

Very nice trip! The driver was very kind, helpful, polite and very informative (he told us about the desert, animals, arab culture, Hatta mountain, etc) I can easily claim that it was his absolute priority to do everything it takes for us to enjoy this trip. First we drove from Dubai to the desert and then continue our trip to the Bee garden (very interesting visit and their selection of authentic honey is amazing - we bought three jars of delicious honey!) and Hatta mountain. The scenery was beautiful (see the pictures), weather was amazing and breakfast very tasty! Definitely recommend!

Interesting and insightful

Musthafa was our tour guide and was very knowledgeable on the sites and surroundings. He was entertaining and helpful at all times. Could not fault his service The trip was interesting but had more driving that anticipated, we stayed in dubai and it was almost 4 hours of driving in a half day session and the heritage site was shut due to construction work. Would recommend but check the driving distance to hatta from your start location and ensure everything is open along the way!

Good tour, excellent guide, unfortunate ending

It is a little hard to grade this trip as I will explain later. We had an excellent guide and were kept well informed about pick up. The trip across the desert was interesting and our guide pointed out various interesting plants. We felt no need for 'sand bashing' and asked him to drive slowly so we could see and experience the early morning desert, he was happy to do as we asked though it was a pretty bumpy ride anyway! Breakfast was good, a lovely spot, clean and litter free. We were able to watch birds and see some desert plants. We then went on to the bee farm. It seems a bit of an odd option and we felt it might be just a 'filler' to break the trip to Hatta. It was actually very interesting with a very professional and in depth tour, followed, of course, by the opportunity to buy. We did shop as it seemed a worthwhile enterprise. A quick stop at the Hatta dam and then on to Hatta Heritage village which is where the problems arose. While we were admitted, everything was locked up and apart from wandering round the outside there was nothing to see, all the exhibits and rooms were padlocked, all we could see were courtyards. Our guide was surprised and was told on asking that there was a staff shortage, he was very apologetic. As this was a significant part of the tour we asked for a partial refund but Orient Tours refused. The small print says that they reserve the right to cancel parts of the tour but they did not do this and insisted that the village was open. I suppose if being allowed through the entrance counts as open then they are technically correct but even when we sent pictures of padlocked doors they insisted that the village was open. In the end Viator stepped in and kindly offered a partial refund for the missed part of the tour. So in conclusion, this is a good tour, especially if you actually get to see Hatta heritage Village properly, the guide was excellent but we cannot recommend Orient Tours, so maybe look for a different company offering this.

Hatta tour with breakfast

The Hatta tour was very good, and the driver/guide was very friendly and informative. Unfortunately the dam was closed for maintenance, As an alternative we visited a camel farm, which was very jnteresting. Loved the driving through real desert with breakfast which was a fantastic experience, and would have liked to have seen more even more desert. Overall a really good excursion to experience other areas and scenery of Dubai.

Once in a lifetime experience

A large group of us joined a friend in Dubai for a birthday celebration. Orient Tours was booked for our day in the dessert. I was in car 18 with Reese. We had an amazing time getting to the Hatta Heritage Village where we enjoyed entertainment, camel rides, sand boarding, henna, and a wonderful dinner/drinks. This was actually the highlight of my trip and would reccomend it for anyone traveling to Dubai. I did feel a little bad for the camels. It looked like the saddle was cutting into one of them. Didn't realize it until we were actually getting on. For an additional fee they included professional photography of the entire day, which was appreciated.

Our tour guide Mr Sahib is one of the best tour guide I’ve met in Dubai. He is extremely thoughtful and friendly and make sure we are comfortable throughout the trip. he goes through extra miles to make our trip a wonderful one. We went to catch the sun rise, camel rock, hatta village, hatta dam, breakfast in the dessert. Everything was beautiful and trust me when I said is worth every penny. Fun desert picnic. Very professionally organised!

We booked a Hatta Village heritage tour with Orient Tours via the Klook app. We were picked up from our hotel by our driver, Javed, who was polite and professional. The drive was amazing and picturesque as we headed out of the Dubai towards Hatta. On the way, we passed through the desert and Javed gave us a taste of dune bashing, too! He was very proficient and also kept checking if we were all okay. We stopped after a while to see the falcon show and also got to hold the falcon! After another stretch of desert driving, we stopped for our picnic breakfast which was quite delightful with sandwiches, muffins, fruit and juice! On the way to Hatta, Javed pointed out various interesting sights and also told us about life in Dubai, etc We reached Hatta heritage village and while it's a great concept to show life in a Dubai village, it's not very well maintained or even organised. There's no one to show you around, the interactive buttons in the different "rooms" don't work and it feels quite run down and desolate. You could easily give it a miss and just enjoy the desert drive, falcon show and the picnic!! Javed also took us to see the Hatta dam which was cool!

We traversed four emirates in a day so really got a sense of life for Emiratis outside of the big cities. The dunes, desert rocks and breakfast under a tree were real highlights. <p>We were more interested in the heritage than the dune bashing and decided on the Heritage Hatta Tour. The driver picked us up on time from the hotel in his luxury air conditioned car which is a must for the terrain and outside temperature. We were interested in knowing more about the culture and day to day activities and living conditions, but the driver was not forthcoming with much information at all. Still the journey through some very scenic country with a surreal mountainous area in the middle of the desert is worth the drive. Once at Hatta, a small town in the middle of nowhere which is having a beautiful transformation, it is short time to the Hatta Villiage. This small example of how village life used to be is having it's own maintenance upgrade which appears to be overdue. The tower which is the centre piece needs to be prioritized with directional signage and remedial repairs.If going to The Hatta Village you need at least 1 hour to explore. The Gift Shop work. Once completed we travel to the desert wher we have a simple but enjoyable lunch on a blanket on the sand under a tree. The driver does not join us and sit in the vehicle waiting for us to finish. Once lunch is over we travel up and down over dunes taking many photogaphs of the amazing landscape, then it's back on the highway and back to our hotel in 5 hours. It's a good trip to see the very scenic landscape outside of Dubai.</p>

<p>This tour was not my 1st choice, but the Desert Morning Tour was already full by the time I booked. Our guide was very knowledgable and pleased to answer the many questions I had. Hatta is interesting but it is a long trip for a destination that is mildly historical. The 4x4 on the dunes was definitely the highlight of the trip - better than any Disneyland ride! The picture that represents the tour is a little misleading as you do not go four wheeling into river areas however the Hatta reservoir is remarkable. If you want a taste of the geography and culture of Dubai - outside of downtown - this tour does it.</p>

We went to see Hatta Heritage Village which is a bit cheesy and touristy but it's free and you can see some cool stuff. Then afterwards, we went to the dam and got some nice mountain pictures and then you go see camel rock with soft dune bashing. Since it was just me, we tailored everything to what I wanted. We couldn't go see the lakes since that's in Oman and there's passport/security issues now. Lunch is very simple - a burger with just meat, apple, and small side of potato salad. It was tasty anyway. My guide was awesome and spoke English and we had a blast getting to know each other.</p>

Hatta Heritage Village is well worth visiting and the self-exploratory tour good; the information around the exhibition was clear and concise. The sixty minutes allotted for the visit is about right. The surrounds to the Village are the first view that one sees. The presentation from outside the Village should be improved.<br/> It is a pity that no allowance has been made to visit Hatta Fort Gardens. These are said to be very beautiful and colourful and a pity to miss. Perhaps an extra 60 minutes could be built into the overall tour to accommodate this since the tour lasts only till 14.30 when we arrived back at our pick up point. “So near yet so far”.<br/> The desert safari was great, colourful and at the same time giving an idea of the vastness and the loneliness of the desert. The ride over the sand dunes to Camel Rock was exhilarating. The picnic was an experience in the shade of one of the few trees in the area. It is a pity though that the picnic spot has a lot of rubbish left behind by other groups/parties. All the guests on the trip commented on this “like having a picnic in the beginnings of a rubbish dump”. It is for this reason that the tour has been given a lower star rating.<br/> It must be said that our guides were careful to collect rubbish from the party and to take it away. I am not implying that our tour operator is responsible for what others leave behind.<br/> As a suggestion is it possible together with other tourist operators to have someone sent to gather the bits of debris, plastic, paper etc. at regular intervals say once a month. A clean area in the loneliness of the sand dunes will enhance the tourists’ memories of their desert trip, of Dubai and the many interesting things to see there.</p>
