3-Day PADI Open Water Diving Course in Dubai

Wonderful experience, highly recommended

It was a fairly difficult choice to choose the dive centre for the course, But choosing Nemo Diving centre Dubai was a great decision. Right from Day 1 all the instructors were very patient in making the course very comfortable and not rushing into finishing it, The knowledege of the instructors is commendable and they know what they are doing very well, Special mention to Kareem who is extremely patient and wants you to be perfect in what you do and will take an extra effort to make you better in your flaws. Lastly i would highly recommend Nemo for anyone who is looking to start Diving, this is the best place you can start in Dubai. Cant wait to explore more with Nemo, Cheers!

PADi Open Water course

I recently completed my PADI Open Water certification at Nemo Diving Centre, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The instructors were not only highly professional but also infused the training with a sense of fun and adventure. Their patience was remarkable, ensuring that I felt comfortable and confident underwater. I couldn't have asked for a better team to guide me through this journey. Nemo Diving Centre truly exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore the underwater world.

Old Man diving dream comes true.

Great adventure! That is where I start. Location: On Palm Jumeirah next to the pool of the Azure Residence. Easy to walk to from the Nakheel Mall. Price: Cheaper than in Italy. Their prices for the dives are listed on their website and they are accurate. Staff: GREAT!! While all were friendly and helpful, I would like to give a shout out to Karim, Amr, and as I spoke to them not to forget our first instructor Galil (spelling). Galil was extremely easy to learn from and gave very clear instructions. Karim was awesome and extremely friendly. Amr took me on my final two dives and in my opinion the most important ones especially with the controlled emergency ascent. All of the staff spoke english. While I am not sure how many languages each staff member speaks, Karim speaks Italian, English, Arabic, and he did speak some german and spanish. This being said, I am sure they can accomodate many different backgrounds to provide the best training and experience possible. Experience: As I am getting older, I figured it was a good time to get scuba certified. I am not afraid of much, but I have a healthy "respect" of being eaten by a shark lol. needless to say...... none appeared lol. I will say the water was not as clear as I was thinking it would be, but that is in part due to my kicking up dirt from the sea floor. had to learn breath control. I saw barracudas, a stone fish, angel fish, and a sting ray. The experience was awesome overall. My trip took place over 4 days (2-4 March and 8 March) Lessons Learned: BIG ONE!!!!! Dont touch the rocks or coral without gloves lol. nothing like a nice cut on your finger when you get out of the water and it burns lol. but not too bad. How you breath controls your bouyancy. took me all four days to figure that out even after being told. Recommendaion: I definitely recommend visiting the Nemo Dive Center. When I return to Dubai, I will make a visit there for another dive! Good luck to the whole team there! See you soon. Respectfully, Q

I got my open water certificate through Nemo Diving Center in Dubai, UAE. Highly recommend! Friendly, patient staff who take the course serious! I also just had a lot of fun :)

SCAM. LYING ABOUT CANCELLATION POLICY!

DO NOT TRUST THIS BUSINESS - AVOID BOOKING! I have booked with Nemo Diving Center months ago and it VERY CLEARLY states a free cancellation policy. I have asked to cancel 4 times due to inability to travel/illness, they keep on avoiding the question until saying that they do not offer refunds even though this is promised when booking this course. Additionally, when asking about flying after diving, they are ignoring the safety policies in place to avoid catching DCS which is extremely concerning - why disregard safety measures being taught in the e-learning? I am currently getting my lawyer involved which is an absolute shame as this could have been avoided if they simply would have kept their word with the cancellation policy. Extremely disappointed, hope that they will come to their senses and just refund as they promised.

Excellent team in excellent location

Really friendly team and excellent combined facility of great pool literally outside the shop door and beach diving just out of the back door ! Situated on the Palm complex at Jumeira. Young trainers are v experienced and patient and fun …. And keen to really teach you the important safety and scuba tips for the future as well as obviously to get you through the actual certificate

Open water certification with friendly trainers!

The staff members at Nemo were very friendly and welcoming. Being a traveller (from Australia), little things like hospitality and a small smile matters to me to make me feel comfortable. My trainer Abdel was patient and helped me how to better understand the skills I was doing. Nemo also accommodated my travel needs, allowing me to ensure I got my open water certification within a limited time I had.

Fantastic diving centre with excellent tutors - great value for money.

I booked this on a recommendation from a friend. From the minute I arrived to the minute I qualified and left, the support and expertise demonstrated by the team was fantastic. Excellent value for money and confident friendly tutors were the very best! Hassan and Galal were so patient, kind, supportive but also knowledgeable and able to give advice to enable improvement. Fantastic!! Would highly recommend!!! Onto advanced open water diver next for me - will certainly book with these guys!

Great Staff and Service

I was extremely impressed by all staff at Nemo Diving Centre. My instructor, Mostafa was very helpful and patience with my friend and I. My friend was evidently a little more nervous under the water in the beginning but the team helped put her mind at ease and were very patient and supportive. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

diving open water

Very good experience with nemo open water diving. 4 days diving with our instructor Ahmed, very professional and kind with us. It was so great, he made a picture of us under the sea when diving. We recomand Nemo diving center. We hope to come back again from France for open water advanced diving and dive with Ahmed. Thanks to all the Nemo's team.

Best decision to make my certification with Nemo

First at all, it is a 4 days course and not 3 days and this is good so to train all important things under water and important to know if you do this certificate during your vacation in Dubai. The whole Nemo staff is just great. A young team so polite, helpful, funny and competent as you could wish for. Two persons I have to highlight two persons in particular: Hossam, who is the owner: funny as hell and so interesting to speak with him before my trainings started and best diver in the world. And of course Galal, my trainer. He looks most times if he’s in a bad mood but actually I couldn’t wish for a better trainer. He was more than helpful and he trained us until we knew how to make our moves correctly and if you gave him a Bounty chocolate bar you could see him even smiling 😉. Coming to the end of my review, it was the best decision to make my open water certificate with Nemo and I highly recommend it for everyone. If I will make my advanced open diver, for sure I will make it with them again.

Amazing experience!

Nemo dive center has an amazing team!It well maintained and hygienic. I did my open water course with them .Hassan & Galal ,my instructors were simply superb.I think if your new to diving ,its very important to find instructors that have patience and also have an innate ability to calm you down,as that is very important when you dive.More important ,they prioritize safety over anything else, unlike other centers i have been to.Though the water in Dubai is little hazy ,i think this center is the perfect place for you learn diving.Cheers !!

Professional, Comfortable and great instructor Hassan

I completed my Open Water Diving Certificate with Nemo Diving Center and can to 100% recommend it. Very enjoyable atmosphere, the instructor Hassan Ashmawy does a fantastic job in letting you feel comfortable and pleasant under water, great organisation, fast replies, easy booking procedure (no "queue"). Definitely to recommend!

Hasan is a great instructor!

We had a great experience at Nemo diving center doing the open water certification course. Our instructor Hasan was very kind and explained everything patiently and with great care. We felt like we were in good hands and had fun diving. Unfortunately visibility at The Palm is not great, but the center offered a complimentary discount on a diving trip to Fujairah as well.

Fantastic experience - Very professional diving team

Fantastic few days learning to dive with the Nemo Diving Centre with some very experienced instructors (especially Hasan) who were incredibly patient and attentive throughout. I thoroughly enjoyed learning new skills as the instructors focused on safety and made it a very comfortable and reassuring but fun few days. I joined the course on my own and found others that were there by themselves, so great if you are travelling solo or with others. You very quickly become a close knit group as you have to buddy up throughout the course. If anyone is thinking of completing the PADI open water diving course in Dubai I would highly recommend to is place.

Best diving center in Dubai. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful time during our OWD education. At first with Ahmed and then with Hassan. They are great teachers and amazing people.

Professional diving certification

I took my 10 year old daughter to certify as a Junior Open Water diver. The facilities were first rate and the staff welcoming, competent and engaging throughout. Highly recommended.

Great experience, look no further

I had 2 weeks off and decided to do my open water with Nemo. I really loved the experience with the team as they really made me feel like I was family more than just a customer. The instructors are amazing, always shared their insight and were just all around great. After finishing my open water I decided immediately that I will continue onto my advanced open water license and completed that within two weeks of completing my open water. Through the advanced open water I got to meet the extended Nemo family in Fujairah which included regular divers and just as amazing instructors and guides. I will continue my diving experience with Nemo and recommend anyone else considering to do their diving experience with the Nemo team. Thank you to everyone in Nemo!

I selected Nemo diving as they were quite responsive. Absolutely amazing experience! All the instructors are SO polite, put you at ease and incredibly professional. I am thrilled to say I am now PADI certified, thanks to everyone but especially: * Ahmed Hassan * Houssam Tarek * Hassan Samir So vigilant. So professional. Thank you and your team! I would have done the fujaira trip but had to fly back! Can't wait to come back and do some more. Totally trustworthy. 100% cannot recommend enough. Fear of water has been CONQUERED.

TLDR; Absolutely fantastic experience! Highly recommend to anyone looking to earn their PADI OWD certification. Just completed my PADI open-water diver certification (4 lessons) with Nemo Diving Center (Dubai). Instructors (special shout-out to Hassan and Ahmed! You guys rock! Also a shout-out to Ahmed Ezzat and Hossam for always being so cheerful and friendly!) are top-notch. They are very approachable, friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. They have no issues whatsoever repeating concepts over and over until they make sure everyone is on board and repeatedly check to make sure everyone is feeling comfortable and at ease. They also provide personalized dive performance feedback at the end of every lesson to help you take your dive skills to the next level. Had a fantastic experience overall and can't wait to be back!
