A must try experience in Fiji , waters clear lots of fishes sharks and reefs to see , the staff were very amiable , excellent service , love the food they prepared ! Organized trip , totally worth it . Sharks were safe , they were nonchalant and wont mind you at all

Transport a mess, snorkeling was fun

My son and I had a good time on the snorkeling with sharks (Ultimate Encounter). I felt like the transportation to Kuata Island was a bit of a mess. You are on a big ferry with a lot of people going to different destinations. The person announcing the upcoming stops had a strong accent and was hard to understand. It would have been nice it the upcoming stops were announced on the televisions that are on the boat as well. The snorkeling was fun, and the tour guides were nice and helpful.

A must do for your trip to fiji

Had such a great time with a great crew. Such great snorkeling and memories where made. Only issue I had was I was struggling for breath at one stage and when regaining my breath accidentally stood on the coral which I realise I should not do but instead of pulling me aside from the group and having a word she humiliated me in front of the group which I think was unfair and highly unprofessional.

Awesome tour, beautiful island, and great lunch.

15 of us went to Fiji and we took a lot of different tours over 7 days we were there. Snorkeling with the sharks was the best tour for sure. Matter of fact I did it on Thursday and again on Saturday. I liked it that much. It rained on Saturday, but the water was still great. Just the ocean was a bit ruff on the small boat to the location where the sharks were at. The photo I added, is my photo I took. Get a good underwater case for your smart phone or a GoPro.

Amazing day trip.

This tour was the best day! We got boat rides, welcomes from locals, great food, use of resort and the best shark encounter. Fiji has the best snorkeling.

Shark snorkeling is a must do in Fiji!

We had the most amazing time! Great boat ride over to the island. Once you are on shore you go over some paperwork and then head on out to one of the most amazing reefs. We saw so many sharks and fish and they swam right there with us. The guides were incredible and made sure everyone was safe. When you get back to the resort you have a delicious lunch and can enjoy the resorts pool, island or do snorkeling offshore and look at the beautiful reef there. Great day, the views of everything were unreal. We didn’t want to leave and hope to come back and visit again someday. Thank you for a truly amazing experience.

Best day snorkeling with sharks!

We were picked up in the port and taken to one of the beautiful secluded islands of Fiji. There we met our tour guides, got our snorkel gear and headed out to the reef. The dive team was awesome. Once in the water we saw close to 15 sharks, and tons of different fish. After our encounter we had a delicious lunch and lounged around the pool at the resort. Thank you for an amazing experience. This is a must for anyone going to Fiji and looking for some excitement. Vinaca & we hope to do this again someday!

So many beautiful fish, sharks and coral!

It was amazing. We got to see so many sharks, beautiful fish and coral. They took us snorkeling twice to different spots and it was the best out of other spots I tried in Fiji. In general, this was the most varied and beautiful selection out of all diving/ snorkeling I’ve done all over the world. The guide also took videos and pics so no need to worry about your own equipment. The place where we had lunch was very beautiful and the staff was great

A great time

Had a great time snorkeling and freediving with these guys. Saw plenty of sharks and the water was so warm and clear. I recommend this trip to anyone who loves the water.

Bula!! Fiji is what Hawaii was like 50 years ago. Gorgeous

My wife and I went snorkeling on the Rainbow Reef off of Taveuni. 2 Bure " resort" , in the middle of nowhere , 40 minute boat ride from Taveuni which is itself tiny. It was amazing . The cost was fair, the people super lovely, the food good , the cleanliness impeccable, and the reef pristine and great. From Hawaii my home it is only 6.5 hours and about the same price as going to the mainland. Next time we will go to barefoot manta resort to swim with mantas and maybe to Savusavu for a different experience. People are talking about highend luxury resorts but there are many mid priced very great places. Because dive resorts are remote they tend to be all inclusive, but my experience was that was good. In the really remote middle of nowhere we had good cell reception with a SIM card.

A do not miss trip

Great experience, everything was catered for. The travel in the morning was great with a scenic trip out to the islands. When there, everything is explained and well organised. The tour guides are amazing as well as the resort itself. A do not miss trip.

Great experience from collection to drop off

Great experience from getting collected at the hotel on time up to the complimentary return to the airport - where you should arrive around 7 pm in any given normalish day (my ferry only arrived 30 minutes after plan at Kuata and still nearly made it to the harbour on time). The picture is a bit misleading - the sharks are way smaller but it is an amazing experience and the island isn't overrun so it's just a great experience.

Highlight of our Fiji Trip

The highlight of our trip to Fiji. A lot of negative reviews here almost put us off going - but very glad we didn't. The boat ride out and back was amazing - very scenic. The island itself was very beautiful - great snorkeling, paddle boarding and great food with plenty of vegan options. And the sharks ... wow. Amazing. We saw thirteen, up very close. Felt very safe though, even though my fiancee can't swim (she used a life jacket, as several others were). Overall, would HIGHLY recommend.

Snorkel with sharks

This was a fantastic tour. The island we went to, Kuata, was absolutely beautiful and the staff were lovely. The snorkel with sharks experience was fantastic. The sharks came up real close to the group so you got a pretty good look at them. So many fish around to look at and also coral. Would definitely recommend this tour.

Amazing

Such an incredible experience! We will definitely be back to do the diving with sharks next time. It is a long day but definitely well worth the travel time there and back

Easy shark viewing. Great safety protoccols

Well organised tour. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They were terrific with less capable swimmers and were very safety conscious when we were in the water. Oh and the sharks were easily found and swimming through the schools of fish was terrific.

Small Shakes in Fiji

The booking of the adventure gave the illusion of larger sharks to interact with but was a good experience. Would have preferred to scuba dive

Such a great experience

Amazing! Paid extra for the dive and it was well worth it. Just be aware if you are not acertified diver you need to stay overnight to get the induction first. The staff of the hotel is very friendly and the diveteam very professional. The marine biologists really know their stuff and are happy to share their knowledge. Will go back and stay a weekend next time to be able to dive more. Can highly recommend !

Awesome day trip!

What an experience! Well worth every penny! Barefoot island is amazing as well after the snorkle you can explore the island and the awesome beaches. Keep an eye out on your way in and out a native will be dancing on top of a huge rock.

Snorkelling with sharks, worth it!

The guides were great, very helpful and friendly. Got us out and back safely. Water crystal clear, could see all the way to the bottom. We saw white top, black top and a nurse shark. Wonderful adventure. Then you have lunch and time to snorkel from land or enjoy the pools and loungers. It is a long day, mostly due to bus pick up being at 7am and boat leaving at 845 (but cafes at port Denerau so get a coffee while u wait). Ferry trip not much to see, 2 hours there abd back. But for a chance to snorkel with sharks RIGHT THERE, worth it.

Avge Snorkel trip

Snorkelling was good but a 9 hour day for 40mins snorkelling. And over 1200 paid. Spent 6 hours of thr trip at least travelling. But literally 40mins of snorkelling. Better to b on a boat for a day and hop in and out snorkelling would b far better. Not taking people with their luggage to and from different islands... what sorta trip is that!

Don’t believe a word

Not as described on aviator website. This is an 8 hour sit at an island with a 30 min snorkel. Nothing is as advertised. And my boat was an hour late for our return. Very disappointed. Do not get taken in by the wording. Not anything close.

Great time on the Reef!

Great time snorkeling on the reef. Lots of different types of fish and got to see black top and white top reef sharks. An experience I won’t forget.

The sharks were too small. They were only like two or three feet long

the hospitality and meal were great. The people were very nice. The ship took us by the survivor island.

It was the best all-round experience that my self and my fiance has had wile in Fiji, Amazing location, great food and staff. The snorkeling and diving is top class

Never again

Wasted a full day of our holiday on this tour .We left our hotel at 7am got to South seas check in terminal stood in line for 30 minutes boarded boat which was then delayed due to mechanical issues finally got to the island went for a dive for 30 minutes.Waited for 3 hours boat was delayed again got of boat and transfer was a unorganised mess returned to hotel at 730pm all for a 30 minute snorkel with 3 half meter sharks no thanks waste of time and money.

Super nice, lovely nature and view

Well organised trip, long way to go the island but it is definetly worth it! They fed the sharks so we spent the perfect time there jn the water with them. The food was amazing lot of variaties, salads, meets, pastas. The island is a real paradise and super relaxing. They give you your own time when you can do whatever you’d like to do. Thank you for the experience!

Fantastic Snorkelling and Shark Sightings

It was fantastic. Saw black and white tip reef sharks - and the snorkelling over the reef itself was fantastic. We had a great guide (Gabbie) and the crew on the day couldn’t have been more helpful

Because of my friend's...

Because of my friend's emergency issues, they cannot go to this journey, and we talked to the local services, they said they can refund and swift it. However, today when I went to the website to make a swift, it cannot swift even cannot refund.

Great experience, would do again however it was only a 30 minute dive

Great experience, would do again. However it was only a 30 minute dive, so for the rest of the day you were left to entertain yourself on an island where there are no other water activities. When doing again I would select an island where there are other activities to do.

Great shark encounter

Such a close encounter with beautiful coral sharks on beautiful barefoot island villages and staff very friendly professional and happy to serve and help with anything

Too much downtime

In all honesty, this wasn't a bad day out. We did snorkel and we did see a few sharks, as promised. But my issue was that there was so much downtime, especially for the price that they charge. The boat ride out and back was fairly comfortable on the large inter-island ferries. We got to Barefoot Kuata island, got our snorkel gear, hopped on the smaller snorkel boats, and were out and back within an hour in time for lunch. And then... NOTHING. There was literally NOTHING to do for the next 2-3 hours besides wait for our return boat back to Denarau. And the island, itself, doesn't offer a whole lot to explore. So it's basically just a really expensive snorkeling excursion with little else. And if you've snorkeled elsewhere in the world, this one isn't going to wow you. It's just average. I understand that the ferries operate on a schedule and that we can't return sooner even if we wanted to. For the price, they should offer other things to do after lunch while we wait for the return ferry.

Better than we could have ever imagined!

Firstly, a two hour boat trip to a gorgeous island from there you are kitted into your snorkelling gear and head out the the reef a short 20min journey into beautiful warm clear water. Multiple shark sitings and gorgeous marine life. Back the the island we got a wonderful lunch and after we could enjoy the barefoot island and their facilities for a few hours before heading home again! The staff were absolutely wonderful

An aswesome but full on day.

The Shark snorkling is awesome. Just be aware this is a long day with around 5 hours on various boats. I would say it's right on the limit of what can be done on a day trip. It might be worth considering doing this as an over night at the resort and getting a couple of dives / snorkels in.

Amazing day trip to Kuata...

Amazing experience

This was an incredible experience. The tour was well organised. We were picked up on time and check in at the port was easy. The best part of the tour was the snorkelling experience. We took a boat out to reef. We saw so many sharks and the experience was amazing. We had a long time on the water too. I've been on snorkelling safaris where you get 20 minutes in the water but on this tour we had enough time in the water to fully appreciate the experience. The staff were fantastic. I did this trip with my 5 year old daughter and the staff were so caring and really looked out for her. Kuata Island is also stunning...such a beautiful part of the world.

Amazing day with lots of sharks

Such an amazing day. Everything organised for you. The staff were so lovely and helpful. Saw so many sharks on our snorkeling trip. A super enjoyable day would recommend to anyone travelling to Fiji!

Vegetarian Sharks Love to Swim

The sharks were so close and all over the place. So amazing! The staff were very friendly. The only thing was that the vegetarian option was more like food without meat, rather than a true vegetarian option.

This tour was amazing, the entire day was fantastic. The boat was huge giving us peace of mind and minimised sea sickness. The island/resort we stopped on was amazing. Lunch was great overall a great experience 👍

Sharks and more sharks!

Got to see a good amount of sharks, and they came so close by! Also some nice coral and some other fish! Just a lot of transfers, between the ferry to another boat,and then the boat to do the snorkeling and then back. Also, wasn't exactly sure on what bus to get on wheb getting picked up, and where to get off the ferry. The resort was nice to spend a little time at.

Amazing experience

The cruise to get to the island is a bit long for just a day trip, but Kuata barefoot is absolutely stunning. The snorkelling with the sharks was simply amazing. Just be aware that it is only a 45 minutes snorkelling session. Our boat was a bit late arriving to the island and by the time everybody got ready to go snorkelling, it was quite late so we didn't get the full 45 minutes in the water. The 30 minutes we got was long enough to see many sharks closely though. The island is very relaxing with plenty of spaces to lie around. Staff were great too and very welcoming.

No longer scared of sharks

Such a great well organised system. The whole day experience was a blast. Swimming with the sharks was thrilling. Lunch was delicious. Barefoot Kuata resort was incredible.

A True Ultimate Encounter

There isn’t much of an “ultimate encounter” than when sharks graze your leg or foot - we were comfortable in the water together!

Fantastic trip!

Amazing trip! The island we stopped on was beautiful and the snorkeling was amazing! Highly recommend getting the upgrade to the captain’s lounge as it’s a long boat ride to get there and back.

Amazing encounters with sharks!

Had a great time swimming with the friendly sharks. The blacktip ones come really close. Can almost touch them, not dangerous at all. Was a great experience. 100% recommended.

Nice, good people

It was really good, I felt safe. The sharks were so close. They were down deep but the crew bought them up. Tim was very good and experienced. Some people might find it hard to get in and out of the boat but the crew looked after you. I found it really relaxing. You just jump in the water and chilled. The sharks just came up to you

A long tiring day

Unless you are a small shark fanatic, this trip is long and boring. We were collected at 8am and returned to the hotel at 6.30pm. Apart from the hour with small sharks, you spend the rest of the time on the passenger ferry and the island base. The people on the island are really nice and welcoming but There’s nothing to do but try and find some shade. You’d have more fun staying at your Denerau resort. On the ferry home you get to pick up all the drunks off the beach-club islands. Quite entertaining but not really a family show if you’ve got kids.

So many fish

The sharks come close to check you out. It is breathtaking. There are hundreds of reef fish all around as well as the beautiful reef. Be aware there are tricky transfers from boat to boat, as well as wading across the reef at low tide. Difficult for people with mobility issues. I managed on crutches with a lot of help from the amazing staff. The staff in the boats and at Kutua Island were excellent. They looked after everyone and nothing was too much trouble.
