No bang for bucks

I should’ve read other reviews. It wasn’t what I thought it would be. The food was fine. However, unlimited free cheap bubbles or pay for ordinary beer was very ordinary. If you don’t drink bubbles why is there no option for a still wine. Seems like it’s a way to get people drunk very quickly. I would’ve liked to hear at least some kind of commentary on the aspects of the harbour- we just got ordinary music. The wait staff were lovely and responded to requests. The staff member who met us was a bit of a smart mouth 😳

Amazing night on the water. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The food selection was absolutely amazing and very well done. Free flowing Prosecco the whole time. Def a must do whilst in Darwin!

Brilliant staff, brilliant drinks flowed all the time, brilliant food, my wife and another lady near us had food allergies and these were brilliantly dealt with, brilliant cruising around the bay, well well worth it staff so very helpful as I have said one world sums it all up BRILLIANT thanks Phil and Paula

A must do in Darwin!!!

What a wonderful experience we had aboard the Sundancer. The drinks literally never stopped, the food was incredible and so much of it and fabulous music as well. The sunsets are spectacular no doubt but really the experience aboard was priceless. Thank you to a fabulous crew, a must do in Darwin!

A must do experience

The best way to see the harbour and sunset in a relaxing catamaran with attentive service. The views were spectacular and all aboard were very friendly. The bubbles flowed and there were good nibbles to accompany. A fun night.

Great evening and sunset

Great evening. The wine was continually poured throughout the evening. Food nice, but would have appreciated a plate as sone food a bit messy. Crew very nice and friendly. Get there early for a decent seat otherwise you will be sitting on the nets. If you don’t drink a lot of wine would be an expensive trip and I would look at a different trip, but we drunk our share so felt worth price.

Most relaxed sunset tour!

This is a must do experience. The catamaran had a real relaxed feel with bean chairs and cushions on the front and seating inside if you preferred. The crew were so good. Unlimited bubbles (and water and soft drinks) were included and our glass was never empty! BYO beer, wine etc they put on ice for you. Food was awesome. And the sunset!

Great yacht, great crew and great food with an endless flow of champagne whilst watching an awesome sunset (13/6/2024). The crew were great at answering any questions but perhaps the cruise could be improved with a little bit of commentary about various landmarks on the way. Recommend it!

So relaxing, made to feel very welcome, champange was flowing and the food was superb 👌 Nothing was an issue, helped with photos and anything we needed. Real value for money, Amazing sunset and harbour views. "A must" do in Darwin !

Beautiful evening

Wonderful cruise with extremely attentive staff - always offering around food and constantly topping up drinks. Nice chairs on the front deck to sit on and watch the beautiful sunset. Would definitely recommend.

Number one thing to do in Darwin!

Great food and bubbles served by amazing young staff on a beautiful 50 foot catamaran. If you don't embrace and enjoy this experience, then just don't bother travelling to this wonderful place. Smaller and more intimate than the other options from Darwin, this experience suits young and young-at- heart. We were celebrating a 70th (having enjoyed the same experience 5 years ago) on a cruise shared with people turning 25 and a group with a very young baby girl. Everyone had a ball.

David the owner, Alex the skipper and the crew were absolutely fantastic. The drinks flowed, the tapas was delicious and generous. Perhaps the only thing better would be to time your trip with a full moon. Can’t thank you all enough for a splendid evening!

We arrived at 5.02pm to see our vessel 100 metres from the jetty, We waved frantically from the dock to no avail. Other tours we have been on if the customers have not arrived on time there is a courtesy call made to check if they are in the vicinity or at least a call on the PA.. WHEN DAVE WAS CONTACTED He was dismissive and didn't seem to care. There was no offer of ant type of assistance. We had 5 in our group and had spent $830 On this tour. We were very disappointed in the result.

60th double birthday trip

It was brilliant we loved everything about it, the staff were great the glass never ran out and the food was delicious. The atmosphere and music were great would do it again perfect night.

Most Romantic Cruise!

The most romantic cruise and evening! Champagne was unlimited, with glasses not reaching the bottom and fall tapas and food delivered. The cruise could be as social for a night out with friends, solo adventure, couples. Had an absolute amazing time!

Fun Fun Fun on the Sun Sun Sun 🌞

We saved the BEST till LAST on our Darwin trip. We had FUN FUN FUN in the SUN SUN SUN SUNdancer that is. 😄 ALL the crew were terrific 👏 Skip on the Helm Nessa on the Wine Mesa on the Food & Chef in the Galley 3 hours of Bliss 😊 and YES it was UNLIMITED BUBBLES Seaview Brut 🥂🍾 The scenery wasn't bad either 😉

Average food, not tapas

I was really disappointed in this cruise. The staff were excellent, but the food was below average. It’s advertised as tapas. According to google tapas are small Spanish savoury dishes. Bao (beef rendang) buns, dumplings, chicken satay, arancini, and chocolate cake are not tapas. The other food was black swan beetroot dip with flat bread, corn chips with avocado dip, barely cooked zucchini with fried halloumi on top, barramundi on top of a slice French stick, and a chewy marinade beef. The staff are very generous with the sparkling wine,maybe to made people very drunk so they don’t realise the food is not Spanish. You presume with the sun setting over the ocean you would sail out to Mindle. Nope. You watch the sun set over the land/mangroves. AThey are going for the casual vibe, but the staff have uniform tops matched with any type of short. Whether it’s board shorts with patterns, or green adidas shorts. Making the uniform navy shorts, instead of free for all would give it a more professional vibe. They fully pack out the boat. There is not enough bean bag seats for all the passengers. You either have to sit at the back, where on another review, the company states not one sits there. That because it’s too high, you don’t see anything and you don’t get the breeze. You can sit on the net, but if you are closer to 50, your back is going to ache after 30 mins. If you get there first, and get a seat, your cruise is 100% more enjoyable. Beware if you are allergic to dogs, the captain bought his training dog along. Nowhere when booking does it state this added guest. Not sure if children in the NT need to legally wear a life jacket, but it seems very unsafe that the baby on our boat was not wearing one.

Fantastic sunset cruise in Darwin

This sunset cruise experience was fantastic! The boat was lovely. The crew were friendly and attentive, always ready with a fill up or food. And the food! No measly tidbits masquerading as tapas here! Great food, and it just kept coming. The biggest problem was realising how much of the great food you were eating! Soft drinks and sparkling wine included were generous as well. The sails were raised and the motors quiet in the background for a beautiful cruise and spectacular sunset. The return in the dark showed the city lights off, with a final chocolate cake to finish the feast. Sit on the beanbag chairs forward and enjoy. Highly recommended

Glorious

Took this cruise with my mother visiting from Interstate. I’ve lived in Darwin for twenty years but never gotten to take this cruise before. I’ll now recommend to all of my guests and bring people more regularly. It was relaxing, food and drinks were plentiful, and crew incredibly efficient and friendly. Well done Sail Darwin!

Best tour yet!

Very impressed with this tour - all girl crew and they could not have made it any better. They catered for gluten free without question which is nice for a change! Added touches made the tour a very special experience! I would do this over and over if we had the time!

Spectacular…. Must do!

A highlight of our holiday in Darwin. Everything about this experience was first class. Some of the other cruises pack the vessels to their maximum capacity, not this one. The girls were fantastic from start to finish. Always polite and smiling, offering to take photos and positioning us taking advantage the spectacular views. And the food…….. wow!! It was first class ( better than some of the restaurants we’d been to) and plentiful, compliments to the management and the chef. Finally I want to add that I read a couple of extremely negative reviews, one about the food (quality and amount…. Not true). The other one saying that they missed the boat saying they arrived there on time and the boat had already left…. Again not true. On our trip they announced they would wait a few more minutes as a couple had not arrived yet. We LOVED this!!!’n

Fun and relaxing

We booked this a few years ago for a special occasion and then Covid messed up plans meaning our trip to Darwin was cancelled, so I must say it felt like a somewhat long-awaited cruise. And it lived up to expectations! Despite the title of ‘Champagne’ Sunset Sail as appears on their website, anyone can work out from the price at the time of booking that there is no ‘champagne’ involved, only fairly inexpensive sparkling wine, BUT we have NO complaints about the constant flow of that sparkling….all glasses were constantly full and it seemed like every second we looked down we were receiving a top up! Thank you! The team operates extremely efficiently and not a drop or morsel of food was spilled by the attendants as far as we could tell – very impressive! Plus, you can bring your own drinks if you want something different to sparkling wine. We enjoyed perching at the back of the boat right at the water’s edge for part of the cruise, taking in some great scenery in a quiet part of the boat, until smokers came along and booted us out of the spot saying it was designated for them. We were pretty disappointed to find that smoking was permitted. Surely for 3 hours people can hold off!! Other than that, we were really happy with a fun and relaxing experience with spectacular views and excellent service.

Relaxing trip with great service

Amaze service, great and abundant food (and endless bubbles), beautiful views of Darwin City and amazing sunset. We absolutely loved the trip on our first day in Darwin. While we were feeling the heat and humidity before we sailed, once we got moving, the breeze cooled things down as well as the glass of bubbly. We were very comfortable seated at the front of the boat and thoroughly enjoyed the food (the Baramundi was very nice - well done by the chef on board) as well as the service. We had about 20 guests on the boat but did not feel overcrowded and had great conversations. For those with mobility restrictions, I would recommend to contact the company before you book. It is a fully functional sailing boat after all and the toilets would be hard to get to if you have mobility issues (or too much bubbly). On our way back to port, we also had a great view of the City lights. I would fully recommend this tour to any couples spending some time in Darwin City.

Fun time on a catamaran at sunset

We wanted to experience the Darwin Harbor on the water so we looked for cruises. We saw this dinner sunset cruise and we booked last minute. We are very glad that we did so. The cruise and sunset was great! The food was delicious and so was the sparkling wine. We also loved that this was a female owned and run business which we didn’t realize until we started chatting with our hostesses.

Small boat. Overcrowded

The boat was really small for the number of guests were there. We were lucky to catch a good weather and good views but if the rain to start- I’m not sure where would we hide. In the description it clearly says : plenty of space to spread out. This is an absolute lie. There is no space at all and we were like fish in a can. The entire experience is based on the fact that everyone gets drunk and starts liking it. Unlimited alcohol definitely does its job. I would suggest to take a number of guests that would fit on the front of the boat. Food is average. View is beautiful. Staff is nice.

Nice and relaxing

Great organisation and very polite staff. The overall experience is very relaxing and laid back. Awesome for a romantic night out with a loved one or a special occasion celebration. Food assortment was well chosen and sparkling is on the tap!

Excellent crew

Even though we had to cancel twice due to the weather, the customer service by the crew was awesome, we still got drinks and food, and their beautiful personality shone through....hopefully one day I will achieve this cruise.

There are not enough superlatives to describe this experience. The all girl crew were engaging and delightful. The food was plentiful and of a wonderful standard. And my glass remained full all evening despite my best efforts to empty it. I would recommend this cruise to everyone . You will not be disappointed.
