Wonderful tour with passionate guide

This was a fantastic experience and the highlight of my trip to Moldova. Tatiana is professional and passionate and speaks excellent English. I learnt so much and saw some incredible soviet era sights. I highly recommend the tour, the lunch at her parents was excellent and her fathers wine was delicious. We didn't arrive back until 7:30pm so plan for that. Great tour highly recommend it.

Amazing tour, 100% recommendable!

Tatiana is one of the best tour guides I have met; she is very knowledgeable and explained us in great details the history of Pridnestrovie and Moldova. She showed us historical landmarks in Bender and Tiraspol; we took a bus from the soviet era and went to a soviet canteen; the highlight was having a delicious lunch at her house, with traditional food prepared by her mom and home-made wine prepared by his father. It was an amazing experience altogether and definitely recommendable.

Absolutely fine trip to Pridnestrovie with Tatiana

It was a brilliant day. The experience was quite unique. Tatiana was a skilled guide who, with her knowledge and skills, managed to remove all prejudices. I felt safe the whole time. We got to see interesting monuments and also learn about the backgrounds of things. I found out why people think the way they do in the country. Tatiana is a skilled and inspiring guide. There was a lot of walking, but not too much at all. Special thanks to father who gave us a ride and Liudmila-mother, whose traditional lunch was absolutely delicious. Almost all the raw materials were grown themselves. The day was worth every euro. I can definitely recommend.

The tour by Tatiana was really everything we hoped for! She is such a great tour guide and very knowledgeable about all things Moldova. We especially appreciated how she took us to a local market and canteen, showing us another, everyday side of life besides the monuments. Undoubtedly the highlight was dining at her family’s place and drinking her dad’s homemade wine. They were even kind enough to accommodate our vegan diet. Amazing and unique experience, highly recommended!

I had an amazing day and a very unique experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the different stops, and learnt so much about the history of Transnistria. We took the soviet bus, went to the Soviet Kantina (Cafeteria) in addition to castles, churches, central market, “land other stops. Tatiana very kind and informative. I also met her Dad Dmitri who played us music and her mother Liudmila cooked us a delicious lunch. All in all a very special experience and highly recommended

Perfect Tour

Amazing tour, Tatiana's tour is magnificent. She is brilliant as a tour guide, lots of knowledge about the subject of Transnistria. Her dad and mom are lovely person's, the lunch is traditional Moldovan food as its best. I really had a wonderful time. Also Tatiana's dad make really good wine some bring cash so you can take some liters with you won't be disappointed.

What a fascinating tour!

This tour is a must-do if you visit Moldova! I had a fantastic day with Tatiana and her parents. The tour was very thorough and went to all the important and interesting sites around Transnistria. Tatiana’s English is impeccable. I really felt I was “rubbing elbows with the locals”, and that is important to me when I travel. I feel like I now have friends in Moldova and Transnistria, and I will now always be interested in this little country and those living in it. It was a perfect day with Tatiana. I also really appreciated the pick up option from the airport as an add-on. I highly recommend this tour!

Transnistria with locals

The trip was well planned and covered all of the Transnistria “must see” places, Tatiana was very knowledgeable about the region and very helpful, the nice touch was lunch at Tatiana’s and Dina’s place with local food and homemade wine, in general highly recommended.

The guide Tatiana and her parents are amazing people, who also know every detail about the region and the places they show you. Best day ever in Transnistria

I could not have had a better day when visiting Transnistria. Tatiana and his father, Dimitri, made us feel very welcome and safe both in Moldova and Transnistria. They showed us the most important spots in Bender and Tiraspol, as well as other places that we wanted to see. The lunch at their home was also delicious. If anyone has the opportunity in the future to have such experience, don’t hesitate to go with Tatiana and Dimitri.

Great trip in every way

It was a very enjoyable trip, both in terms of the actual content and the guide. The pick up was just outside my accomodation and the communication went smooth via WhatsApp. The guide was very welcoming, good at English and answered in a balanced and neutral way all questions during the trip. As part of the trip, I was invited for a private lunch with home cooked food. It was very enjoyable. I can only recommend using this host. It felt safe and it was a very rewarding and informative trip. I cannot think of any improvements. And the price was also very reasonable. /Recommendation from Danish visitor.

Great day in Transnistria

Brilliant day with Tatiana. She show’d us around Transnistria which was really interesting. We saw all the main sites and had a stop for lunch at her house to sample her mom’s home cooking and her dad’s Dmitry’s home made wine. What are great experience. I can’t recommend the tour enough.

This day was magical, I highly recommend! Tatiana and her father are wonderful guides, they explain everything very well and the places shown are very interesting. Despite what you can see online Transnistria is safe and is really interesting to visit.

Give Transnistria a go

I had a comprehensive tour around Bender and Tiraspol. My guide Tatiana was very knowledgeable and when I requested that I would like to try local beer she knew exactly where to take me. Her family made me a lovely lunch at their home. I was made very welcome by the whole family. I was initially anxious about going to this country but there was no need. I am glad that I have experienced this amazing country.

An incredible experience not to be missed!

Honestly the best tour I’ve ever been on. Tatiana’s knowledge and passion about Moldova / Transnistria really came through and I learned so much. Her mum’s home cooked lunch was delicious and her dad’s homemade wine was really nice too. The tour was so unique and you get to see some truly fascinating things. 10/10 would recommend this experience to anyone!

A wonderful fun and educational tour that I highly recommend.

A real family affair with guide Tatiana bringing the history of Transnistria to life as we visited all the sites described. She truly loves sharing her wonderful country with visitors and it shows. I learned so much from her in the course of the day. Her mum made us a delicious lunch of borscht (way better than any you've had, trust me), plachinda and a wonderful stuffed pepper, all ingredients grown in their extensive garden and served at their home and a great dessert. I was stuffed. Dad supplies his home made wine to accompany lunch and also acts as the driver of the minivan. There is a fair bit of walking involved between the various sites, so be aware of that if that's an issue for you. Thank you to everyone in the family for treating me to a wonderful day and good luck with the guest rooms when you get them built. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour.

Excellent and friendly tour!

Tatiana is an amazing tour guide. I will have very fond memories to take back with me to Poland. I enjoyed every minute of it. I would not have managed to see all the things I experienced on the tour had I gone to Transnistria alone. And the home made dinner with red wine 🍷 was such a lovely touch. You will not regret choosing this trip. I highly recommend it 😊👍

A really enjoyable day...

One day tour to Transnistria: Firstly I would like to thank our guide Tatiana, her Father and Mother for making our day absolutely lovely.. Tatiana was knowledgeable, easy going and she really looked after us. We were nervous about going to Transnistria because of our Government's warnings But we didn’t have any problems…None.. People were pleasant and we would go back, simple as that. We found this tour enjoyable and very interesting. Its history and local culture is so different from ours.. Highlight for us was being invited into Tatiana's family home. Where we had a delicious home made and home cooked meal and wine. Finished off with Tatiana Father singing and playing traditional Moldovan music. Which was wonderful and most enjoyable. This was an experience that we will never forget.

Must do trip!

Going to Transnistra is a must do if traveling to Moldova! It's a completely different area and culture. Tatiana is an outstanding tour guide and made the tour so wonderful!

Best Transnistria day tour

I highly recommend this tour! Tatiana was very responsive and accommodating by agreeing to swap my tour day with her rest day, which I felt grateful for, as I had a tight schedule in Moldova. She picked me up at the Chisinau airport and sent me back to my hotel in Chisinau city center afterwards. Her dad was driving and her mom was cooking lunch. It was such a special personal experience to interact with a local family like this. She's got super adorable parents. We ate lunch at her parents' house in a village, her mom cooked a feast of traditional dishes for me and managed to make it plant-based (I'm vegan), and I also got to try her dad's housemade wine (super good) and walnuts and fruits grown in their garden. She took me to various sites as well as local markets, cafes, etc. in Transnistria. The tour was well paced and designed and learning the history and culture was very interesting. Her English is clear and fluent, and she also speaks German, Russian, Romanian and Moldovan. Definitely go for this tour if you are planning on visiting Transnistria!

Amazing experience in Transnistria

Amazing 1 day trip. Everything was perfect. Tatiana is the best guide you can find, very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the history and culture of Moldova and Transnistria. The places visited, are interesting and unique. The meal was top-class Moldovan food and wine. I highly recommend doing this experience!

One of the best tours I’ve taken. Recommend without hesitation.

Amazing tour ! Was such a wonderful day. Tatiana, the tour guide is top class and was so communicative, organised and responsive to messages. She is from Transnistria so is an expert guide of the region. Her English is also terrific. She speaks German , Russian and Romanian too. I was picked up at my hotel right on time and one other gentleman joined the tour which was a great addition although private tours are also available. Tatiana’s father drove the car and is also a terrific addition to the tour. The day was jam packed with things to see and do. I absolutely loved visiting this beautiful part of the world and interacting with the friendly locals. Learning about the history was fascinating. Tatiana’s mother also cooks the most beautiful lunch and we got to sample their homemade wine. We also visited local cafes, museums, and historical points of interest . Tatiana and her family couldn’t have been more helpful. Really outstanding. Recommend without hesitation. A massive thank you to Tatiana and her family. 5 stars.

An Unforgettable and Personal Experience!

Our guided tour to Transnistria/Pridnestrovie was excellent! We paid extra to be picked up from Chisinau and it was worth it. Our train arrived in Chisinau a bit late but our guide Tatiana, accompanied by her lovely father to drive us, picked us up right from the train platform instead of our hostel without issue. Despite us being late and a few other logisitcal challenges throughout the day (none of which were our guide's fault), Tatiana immediately and happily accommodated us to make sure our trip was still successful and special. In addition to several major sites being packed in, the highlight was the delicious lunch at Tatiana's home. There’s no better way to experience the local culture than with a welcoming local family! Throughout the day Tatiana was also very happy to have deeper, nuanced conversations about Transnistria's political situation and her own famiy's feelings and identity as people living there. This the experience you can only get if you are with a passionate, local guide. So if you are interested in visiting this place and learning more about it, I highly recommend this tour!

Wine and dine in Transnistria!

This is tour is definitely worth every euro! So many new experiences all packed into one day. The sites are very unique if you’re looking for something different to the rest of europe. Tatiana is the best guide and is very knowledgeable about the local history, telling facts you would never know on your own. Paired with her charismatic father who is the driver and still makes you laugh even when speaking Russian. The highlight of the tour is lunch at their family home in transnistria. All the food is locally made and prepared by Tatiana’s mother and is so fresh. You will also learn Moldovans love their wine and you will too as it’s the best I’ve ever tasted! This combined with great company it was like visiting the family from Moldova that I never knew I had. If you’re worried about safety you shouldn’t be as it was completely normal just a border crossing. I can’t wait to come back and see more of this amazing country!

A perfect day with lots of insights, fun and good food

That was a perfect experience! So many things that we discovered in one day. Tatiana is a great guide, very knowledgeable. She gave us insights with a lot of informations and different point of views to understand that part of Moldova. The tour was a combination of sight-seeing and taking part in everyday life, like a visit on a farmers market and a short ride with the bus. The lunch at her families house was really amazing and tasty! We got an additional cooking class by her lovely mother and a wine tasting with her friendly father with a lot of stories about the life in Transnistria. Everything was well organized and prepared. There was not a minute, that I was afraid of something. Thanks for all, Tatiana! I am happy that I did this tour and I absolutely recommend it to everyone.

We weren't sure which tour to take, but we are glad that we chose this one. Tatiana and Dmitry met us promptly and were friendly, welcoming and helpful all day. We learned so many new things and enjoyed every second of the day. We were delighted with the lunch we had with Tatiana - the food and wine were absolutely delicious and there was too much for us to eat! It was a true banquet. Tatiana really is knowledgeable and the tour is very well planned. She can show you so many interesting places and teach you so many interesting things. Interesting day trip to Transiatria with a great guide!

Incredible day trip with Tatiana! The trip departed on time and as planned. The drive was smooth and Tatiana checked in on us throughout th day to make sure we had everything we needed (water, bathroom breaks, etc) and is incredibly knowledgable and enthusiastic. She accommodated everyone's specific needs in a way that kept us all happy but still on schedule. We made it back to the city on time with some bonus stops. Wonderful day and very interesting experience.

Family Affair with Flair

If there is one thing you must do while visiting Chișinău, it is this tour! You will not regret it. Tatiana and her family are a treasure of kindness and knowledge. What a wonderful experience. From visiting the fortress in Bender, to exchanging money, buying fresh produce at the local market, riding an old public bus, seeing monuments and memorials to experiencing an authentic meal beautifully prepared by Tatiana’s amazing mother, and wine by her charming father, I could not have had a better day. We even had a cooking lesson in making Plăcintăs. I learned so much about a fascinating part of Moldova and made friends in the process. So memorable. Fresh cherries from their yard were an added special bonus. Tatiana even helped me the day after the tour when I reached out to her. My heart is so grateful for this rich experience.

I saw the fortress and the city of Bender, went to a market there and to an old sovjet cafe. Her mother made me an incredible lunch and later we went to Tiraspol where we saw all the old monuments. She knows the history and could tell me a lot about everything. I also had enough time to take photo's of everything I wanted. I would definatly take a tour with her again. Incredible!!

Tatiana is such a warm personality and highly motivated and funny guide (very recommendable!), She showed us every detail in the region and she gave us such valuable informations. I truly enjoyed with her my day trip to Transnistria. The places were very beautiful, it was a relieve to walk in such beautiful and historical places. The atmosphere was so special that it really felt like we all know each others since a long time. All respect for Tatiana who does a great job there; a true exemple of excellent tour guide. Amazing Tour,Guide,Family,Food and Local Moldovan Brandy.

All I can say is Thank You to Tatiana and to your parents Ludmilla and Dimitri. Tatiana - You were punctual and full of information and dates and super friendly and your English is excellent and the various locations throughout the tour ticked all the boxes I wanted to see at a great price. Your parents - To be invited to your home to enjoy a traditional 3 course meal cooked by your mother was an honour and a privilege as I ate many meals in Moldova BUT none as good as that meal. Tatiana's father found out I don't drink beer or wine BUT I am a spirits drinker I got brought a jug of local Brandy and a jug of liqueur and I preferred the Brandy and to say my glass was never empty is an understatement and the quality of the brandy was as good as an aged Irish or Scotch whiskey which would be my area of expertise. So I definitely left the house with a bit of colour in my cheeks and a full belly. Great family amazing tour. What are you waiting for get it booked.

Best tour to a country within a country!

The tour started with picking me up from the hotel. Others were picked up at the way which was nice because then you meet new people. Tatiana was an amazing tour guide because she knew a lot of places and she ensured we could see and learn what we wanted to learn about Transnistria. The local food we got to try was amazing and home cooked so it added extra niceness to the whole experience. I really recommend taking this specific tour to Transnistria with Tatiana because she knows what she's talking about.

An unforgettable experience

Organization was top (message to announce pick- up time, punctual pick-up, no unnecessary waiting, etc). Sights were abundant (fort bender, memorials, home in a local village, local market, soviet style cafeteria, monuments, museum). So Knowledgable (at every stop our guide Tatiana shared historical, political and everyday details) and patiently and enthusiastically answered all our questions. While every bit of the tour was super, my two highlights were the following: 1) having a local (transnistrian) beer in this soviet style cafeteria that made you feel like back in the time where by coincidence 2 boys were nostalgic piano and singing 2) and most and above being invited to our tour guides childhood home. We (me from Germany, a woman from Sweden and a man from Brazil) felt the truly warm and authentic welcome. The food cooked by outsourcing guide ' s mom was super yummy, often from local or even home grown ingredients. And they so kindly celebrated my birthday with me, gifting me a hand-knotted pair of socks. There was more wine than we could drink and we had such an amazing time singing together, petting their adorable cat and just talk about everything and nothing. Thank you Tatiana for this amazing day! And to your parents Ludmilla and Dimitri

It's a great trip. To a country that (actually) does not exist .... 🤗

The Federal Foreign Office and many sites on the Internet advise against visiting Transnistria. A trip is sooooo interesting. And not at all risky. I am very glad to have made this journey to Soviet times, which are actually long gone. Where else are Marx and Lenin openly worshipped ?? Tatjana is a great and very dedicated guide. You can tell she enjoys the job. She is historically savvy - she speaks German and English very well, so you can easily understand the historical development of this region. Visiting the Bendery Fortress, various monuments and parks were just as interesting as the Bottle Museum ("Be surprised - you won't regret it 🍾😉"). The food in her (parents) house was just as delicious as her parents were friendly. In addition, of course, she also knows where there are beautiful souvenirs .... from the country that actually does not exist !! Last but not least, she is also happy to provide assistance in matters that actually have nothing to do with the trip. My coin collection has therefore grown in Transnistria by some remarkable copies 🪙😅 Overall a really great day - highly recommended !!! 👍🏽🤗

Family trip to Transnistria

Our trip to Transnistria with Tatiana and her father was worth a trip. We experienced a lot and gained very nice impressions. During the trip Tatiana brought us closer to the country and people as well as the culture. The excursion points were all worth seeing .
