NOT WHAT WE AGREED TO.. NO REFUND even though they agreed to two w a scooter!!!!

I took a chance based on the 78 reviews that were decent. They were to pick us up at the ship. They did not. My husband is in a scooter as he can’t walk. I had 7 fractures the end of last year (2023) and can’t walk far. Text said to meet them at gas station. Can’t see any gas station from ship. I start walking. We finally get to place where many people are meeting their rides. Ours not there. Again text to meet at gas station. Not in site. I continue walking. At least 15 men who Spanish want us to go w them . I had already paid in full. We keep going and finally I see 2 men w a sign w my name. They were very nice BUT the said they did not know of scooter and accomodate us. I asked for full refund. Asked several times. NO REFUND. Next thing we know is several are speaking to the 2 that had my name in sign. A van drives up and we were told they would take us and we do not pay anymore. I have no idea how they are to get paid. We get I. Van. They put scooter in van. Barely fit. Driver and guide were extremely nice. They drove us to many places. Mark stayed in van. I got out a few times. All in all we were forever grateful to these men for showing us around. I tipped them $20 each and honestly felt that they should be paid more. But we are on a very tight budget. I mentioned the fruit all over and they stopped and bought us 6 bananas. We were not aware but we were not able to bring them onto ship. We were dropped off and thank NCL was there w a wheelchair. My back was killing me. Popped pain pill when we got back to ship. It was very distressing that we went through what we went through. But the 2 very nice men made us feel so much better.. I can only hope Viator paid them as I feel bad Icould only tip $40

Merly, our guide and the car driver were excellent. Merly took us to lot of attractions and explained very well. Driver was very hospitable and drove my around to show places as she couldn’t walk for long distances

Beyond excellence in tour guide and company.

Today was a fabulous tour of Cartagena at our pace with an excellent guide and driver. We were met and escorted through the aviary to meet the team. We were shown important places with great narration. We were able to change the schedule as we wanted. We requested a local flavor restaurant. Great experience. Walking was kept to our pace and a minimum we could handle. I cannot say enough great things about our guide, Fran.

Private tours are the way to go

Had a great tour with Henry. He was prompt for pickup and was extremely knowledgeable about the landmarks we visited. He was also very personable and made learning about Cartagena fun. Would highly recommend. Taking a private tour of the city is the best way to do it. Thanks, Henry!

Great time in Cartagena

Great tour of Cartagena! We saw La Popa, the Castillo, Old Town, etc. Our guide kept us entertained with a running commentary and facts about the city. When one member of our party wasn't able to make it up the ramps at the Castillo, the guide helped her cross the busy street to the Chocolate Museum before leading the rest of us around the fortress. A big shout out to our driver, too! He was able to navigate traffic without any mishaps, even though traffic was awful.

Thorough, knowledgeable guide

Fernando is an encyclopedia of information regarding the history of Cartagena. He is the only guide that we had to ask questions of us regarding the sites we visited to engage us & encourage us to think about what we are experiencing. He also was very patient & made sure we safely managed stairs & other potential hazards. Hernan is an excellent driver. Made it easy for us to get to the various sites throughout the tour.

This was a nice way to see Cartagena. We were back in the cruise port with plenty of time to spare. Got to see a lot of places in the city.

I felt very welcomed. Request a Van that is large enough for the number of people traveling. Speaker in Van needs improvement so that we all could understand the commentary.

In a few hours you can see tha main sights of this beautiful and coloured town. Thank you to our guide Alvaro, a passionate of history that we really appreciated.

Worth the cost

Great city tour, customized so my dad who has walking limitations had no problem. They swapped out some of the walking parts and did them from the car to make the most of our tour. The guide, Nico, obviously loves his city and seems to genuinely enjoy showing it to his clients. His knowledge of history is extensive. The driver expertly navigated some tight spots in the van that I never could’ve done.

Our guide & driver arrived on time. They were professional and our guide gave us a wonderful education/insight on Colombia/Cartagena history. We saw all the key sights & the owner even popped in on our tour, treated us very well & gave us cute little souvenir ‘shot glass’ (or espresso) little mugs. Thank you so much!

Great Experience

Private tour gave us a great feel for the city on a very rainy day. We were in a small enough vehicle to navigate the narrow streets of the old city without getting wet. The driver Lucas and the guide Nico were great. Very knowledgeable and accommodating.

Thorough walking tour with Nico

Nico was very knowledgeable and thorough. We booked a 2-hour tour and ended up spending nearly 3 1/2 hours with Nico learning all about the history of the old city of Cartegena de India. We appreciated his thoroughness and in depth understanding of the area. We highly recommend this tour.

Adaptable and informative

Really great tour. Nice car with strong air conditioning. We learned a lot about the city and moved to areas we might not have seen. Our driver Gabriel and guide K I k e were thoughtful and attentive. When it was hot and we didn’t choose to walk, they adapted and drove us. Very good tour.

EXCELLENT Private Tour with Angelica

Angelica was an incredibly good guide. She explained the historical and cultural significance of Cartagena’s major sites (the Monastery, the Fort) as well as the strategies for the various fortifications. The tunnels were WILD! (Almost lost my husband - smile). Near the end of the tour. Angelica took us to a local cafe for some traditional arroz coco, friend chicken, and patacone. It was so pleasant to hear about Columbia’s history from a native. Oh, and Ricardo did an excellent job of driving us about the sometimes crowded streets. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour.

Saw a Lot in a Short Amount of Time

Our tour was a good way to see a lot in a short amount of time. Luis, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and took time sharing the history of Cartagena, and our driver did a great job maneuvering through the traffic in this busy city. The vehicle was nice, clean and smelt very good. Only negative comment is that our tour didn’t include La Popa Convent as advertised and was cut short by about 45 minutes. We were okay with that, but thought others should know in case that is important to them.

Excellent day and saw lots!

Amazing day and fantastic tour to do. Guide was accommodating for my 81 year old mother with walking restrictions. Not a rushed day. Saw a lot and had a wonderful lunch which we added in.

Perfect 4 hour hour private tour of Cartagena

We had a driver, Fernando, and a tour guide, Francisco. It was incredibly warm and humid and they did a great job trying to keep us in the shade and keeping the car cool for us. Francisco was very knowledgeable about Cartagena and Columbian history and culture and spoke excellent English. We were very thankful we chose this private tour instead of a large excursion from the ship. Despite the heavy traffic, Fernando made sure we didn’t miss a thing and got us back to our ship with plenty of time to spare. Excellent tour! We highly recommend it!

Great way to visit Cartagena

The large van picked up the 7 of us right on time at the pier. Our guide, Nico, was very experienced, patient, and knowledgeable. The driver and Nico took us to all the important sights of Cartagena (Popa, ciudad amurallada, etc) and even took us to puerto Nuevo because somebody in our group wanted to see it. The provided a bottle of water during the trip and gave us some time to shop at a local market

Great Cartagena tour!

We had an amazing time with our guide. He was very funny, enjoyable, sharing with us so much information about the places visited and being very carefull to all our needs. We were able to see the most important landmarks of the city in half a day, which otherwise would have been mission impossible for us to do it on our own, with the time we had. Highly recommended!

Cartagena Cruise Port

Our guide through Sion Tours, Alberro, was very knowledgeable about his city. We had a driver, Donald who did an amazing job of navigating Cartagena. We saw the fort, the monastery, the chocolate, emerald and gold factories and our guide was well informed about all. We just wish the tour was a little longer. It was only about 3 hours but we had the guide and driver all to ourselves so we still saw a lot. We had a little trouble meeting up with Lucas who led us to our guide. But we were on a cruise ship and got distracted by the amazing zoo that was FREE in the port where the ship docks. Cartagena was one of the best ports of our entire cruise!

Short but super sweet ❣️

The private tour of Cartagena was perfect!! Our our guide Albertino was very knowledgeable fun and super enthusiastic about his city! Our driver Donaldo was very sweet as well always opened the car door and offered us cold water at every stop. We started the tour at the Popa Convent. It was very pretty and serene with awesome city views. We later visited the Castle San Felipe de Barajas. Albertino knew his history very well and explained all the strategies and ground tunnels they used in the fortress to protect the city. Also beautiful views and photo apportunities Albertino was happy to be our designated photographer. Afterwards we head out to the walled city which is a must!! It was our favorite part of the visit. People complain about hagglers but honestly there is nothing to complain about maybe 4 people on the street tried to sell us their souvenirs. We just say no thank you and they leave you alone. It’s part of the charm of the place. The old city is very colourful with pretty architecture, beautiful shops and cafes. Albertino took us to a emerald shop were they made their own emerald jewelry. It was interesting to see the process and it only took about 15-20 min. We also stopped at the beautiful award winning coffee shop San Alberto where we had delicious ice coffees. All along the walks in the old city and during our car rides our tour guide would point out interesting facts and monument’s along the way which made exploring the city even more enjoyable. Thank you sooo much Albertino and Donaldo for making our short visit of your beautiful Cartagena most memorable and super fun. 💕
