Private Felucca Ride on the Nile River

Peaceful excursion in Cairo

We had a great time on our felucca ride on the Nile. Our guide, Aladdin, picked us up from the hotel and we took a short drive to the boat launch. It was very peaceful to be on the water away from the honking horns. Aladdin was knowledgeable about the buildings were were looking at as well as Egyptian history.

Average cruise

Enjoyed the cruise BUT the guide did not point out important landmarks along the way nor talk about the history of Cairo. This information is good to know as a tourist. Food was average. Disappointed

Disappointed

We were a little disappointed they set sail with very little wind we probably only hit 900meters out and came back, we actually only got to the middle of the Nile from the bank so we really did not cruise the Nile we just got half way Accross it and back.

Formidable

We met Firo who was our guide for the day, we loved it, Firo is great and very pleasant with a smile. It's more than just a felucca ride. Firo knows the best places. I recommend this excursion and this guide who made us spend a great day!

A wonderful experience

Daly and the captain were great. It was a lovely excursion - very peaceful. The lunch was excellent. It was just my husband and I and we would definitely book again.

Nice ride in felucca

We had great time with our tour guide, Esham Khder. We had time to talk, to relax ans appreciate the view. Thanks to Esham!!

Disappointing beyond. Believe

Unimpressed ... 40 min. On a boat stuck between 2 bridge .. no information given to us . As 1st time. Egypt visitors and to the Nile . Food. We received was provided from unknown location. The result my wife. Has fallen ill and hat to get treatment at a hospital and we had to cancel our next upcoming tour. Because of it ... So we lost our money because of cancellation policy I want management. To connect me .. and refund me for both trips .....

Fun Trip on the Nile

The tour was very easy to work with. On the same day as the Felucca Ride, we modified our pickup location from our hotel in Giza to the Egyptian Museum without issue. We were picked up by Mostafa and Ahmed, both very friendly. Mostafa was a very safe driver with a clean, nice vehicle. Ahmed was upbeat and very professional. His English is very clear and he is a genuinely nice guy. The ride itself was enjoyable with the proper 1 hour of ride time. The only issue was that the ride was supposed to be sunset and it was modified to be earlier, which was acceptable considering it was Ramadan.

Falucca boat ride

Esraa was a great guide. We asked if we could get supper and she stopped to get a traditional dish for us. She was extremely accommodating. We had to wait quite a while for our boat because the river had been closed earlier for high officials. She continually kept us updated. The weather was perfect and we really enjoyed the cool evening ride down there peaceful Nile in the middle us the busy city. She finished the evening by purchasing sugar cane drinks for us. She also took many pictures for us. Great experience.

Very relaxing

I booked this trip from Viator website. Our tour guide (forgot her name), picked us up from hotel. She then got us Koshery, which is a local egyptian dish and bottled water. The fulucca ride was nice, you have to get this during Sunset for the best experience. The nile river was beautiful and also our tour guide took a bunch of pictures for us.It's only a 2 hour experience but it's nice. I do wish the price was a little cheaper, it was $50ish for 2 people.

Relaxing

It was so relaxing and soothing. It would have been nice to be able to go further down the Nile River which was a downfall but the time we went was perfect and we got to see the sunset. Our driver was really nice as well and picked us up promptly and communicated well with us. We had our dinner after and it was at a local restaurant and it was pretty good. I do feel as if you can get the same trip cheaper if you just found someone on the Nile though which you could everywhere.
