Low Energy

I have booked numerous tours through Viator and this was the first one I had to reach out to the tour guide to confirm my tour. I sent a messages to the tour company 24 hours prior to our trip since I had not heard from them. The response I received was that I would receive my confirmation later in the day. This was a bit stressful since it entails booking flights from Cairo to Luxor and then back to Cairo, not knowing our flight itinerary was concerning. I eventually received my flight confirmation. Once we arrived to Luxor the tour guide had my name in small print, it was not easy to spot who was my tour guide as I had to approach the tour guides up close to find my tour guide. We went to all of the sites the tour entails but our tour guide would only spend 10-15 minutes with us and then it was free time. At one of the sites the tour guide didn’t bother to get off the car and basically said you have 5 minutes to take pictures - I saw other guides get off and take pictures of their group. This was disappointing as we had to ask random people to take pictures of us. And of course, the guide indicated we had extra time and offered 2 options which entailed more money. We ended up doing one of them although it felt like it was a rip off but I figured a review ends up doing more damage than the extra money made. Would I recommend this tour again ? I would definitely recommend it but not with this tour guide. Keep in mind , the tour guide does not like to use WhatsApp which is unusual since all of the tours I have done I always communicate through WhatsApp and they respond within the hour. My recommendation to the tour guide is to put himself in the shoes of those who are taking the tour and offer every possible detail , provide excellent customer service and stop with the hidden or extra tour fees. For the money I paid it didn’t feel like I got my monies worth. Having more personality would’ve changed our experience.

Amazing History

Trip was good. I would advise planning this early in your trip so that in case there are problems with the flight, you can figure it out. They worked with us around canceled flights one day and then delayed flights the next. It was frustrating with the many plan changes, but they still made it work and we saw everything described. I would also recommend staying in Luxor for a couple days instead of trying to fit everything in. This was a great experience though. Next time I will be staying in Luxor for a few days and Aswan as well.

An experience we will never forget

This tour was very well organized, we didn't have to worry about anything. Our flights were booked with no problems, we were picked up on time. Our tour guide Ameen was the cherry on top. He was very knowledgeable about everything. He was funny and made everything (there is a lot to see in 1 day) exciting and funny. Him and his driver made this tour absolutely awesome. I would recommend this tour to everyone. I am so glad I booked this tour. Me and my wife will never forget this experience. Thank you Go tours!

See a lot in 1 day excursion

Lots to see and experience in one day - worked out well - did not feel rushed. Favorite were the large columns at Karnak temple.

Great customer service when booked less then 12 hrs from the flight.

Valley of Kings and Luxor Temples were really amazing experience. We were hopeless that we would miss Luxor trip due to other tours services unable to book due to lack of seats on flights. However this tour company not only booked it before 12 hours from the flight but also arranged the trip when it was weekend evening with very little hassle. Next great part was that we got Khaled as our tour guide who is also an experienced archaeologist. He had a great demeanor and created a perfect tour from receiving at airport at 9am and dropping us at 4pm. I wish we had more time in Luxor which we will do next opportunity for Egypt in future InshaAllah(God willing).

Incredible Day in Luxor

We had such an amazing day in Luxor! The entire day was very well planned out. Pick up from the hotel to the airport went very smoothly. We were greeted by our guide Khalad at the airport upon our arrival in Luxor. He was incredibly knowledgeable with a perfect amount of information without being overwhelming. We had enough time at all of the locations and did not feel rushed. It was a buffet lunch with a wide variety of choices. Can not recommend this tour highly enough! Our best tour in Egypt!

A must for an Egypt trip

A must for a trip to Egypt. You get to see so much of different parts of Egypt without having to worry about setting up everything. And having a tour guide makes life much easier, we had Khaled and he was very helpful and passionate about Egyptian history.

Cruise trip with guide through Aswan and Luxor

We had Khaled as a guide and it was an excellent experience. Kept the day full so you do not feel like you are missing anything. He is very knowledgeable as well.

Seamless reservation and tour experience. Kahalid was a very experienced Egyptologist and very personable. Highly recommend GO Egypt Tours, fair price for excellent service, able to pack many highlights into one day at Luxor. He is a foodie too and we shared an amazing dinner after the tour, he even helped me get a cord for my phone!!

Worst Travel Booking company

Viator is the worst travel tour company. I booked my trip 1 months to time and it was cancelled 2 days to time, they made me rebook again and it was canceled 5 hours to the trip and made me rebook again and canceled less than an hour later. Charged me 3 times all together and an yet to receive all of my refunds

Great Luxor tour.

It was a great tour program.Mr Khaled was my guide at Luxor .He elaborated the brief history of Pharaos & the monuments in Luxor.He was very much cooperative & accompany me through out my trip.

Day we’ll never forget!

The day was one for the books. Khalid took excellent care of us. He and our driver looked out for us in the extreme heat and made the day fantastic. We were very lucky to have Khalid as our guide for the day. His knowledge and experience with archaeology and Egyptology was overwhelming and helped us grasp the nuances of the monuments and history were we’re experiencing. We were exhausted after tours and a private trip on River Nile but wouldn’t change a thing!

What an amazing daytrip to Luxor from Cairo

Wow what a great experience this daytrip was🥰. I had a pickup at 05:30AM at my Hotel in Nile Corniche. The driver was super on time and drove my directly to inland airport from Cairo. An easy one hour flight to Luxor. Then i was lucky to have the amazing tour guide Khaled! We had an great day togheter and he knows everything about the history,culture and could answer all my questions. I highly recommend this tour with Khaled.

Luxor Tour

The tour and our guide Khaled were excellent. The sights were amazing and Khaled was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Although it was hot in June, it was all worth it. We visited crocodile island and the community was very hospitable. I would do it all again!

Luxor day trip

Well worth the day trip to Luxor! Such a unique place and with so much history. Our tour guide Sayed Omar was so knowledgeable about the history/area! Our Egypt trip would not have a been complete without this.

A great Luxor experience with our guide Sayed

A great day in the stunning city of Luxor with our guide Sayed. We went with our two daughters aged 10 and 11 for a day excursion from Shar el Sheikh. Our guide Sayef showed us the wonders of Luxor. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and great conversations in the van going from one monument to the otter.

A dream tour of Luxor

It was a wonderful private tour of Luxor from Cairo . We were promptly provided the air tickets from Cairo to Luxor by the tour operator who also upgraded us to business class on request . Our driver picked us up promptly on time from the hotel early morning and dropped us to the airport. On reaching Luxor our guide Sayed was waiting for us . He was a very entertaining person and we really enjoyed with him . It was great to chat with him and know about the history of the places and also his own experiences . He decided the schedule of the day from us and we were driven around in a car from place to place. We first visited the Temple of Karnak , then we did a boat ride on the Nile ( not in the package , but was about 15 USD additional per head) , then did the Valley of the Kings, followed by an all paid lunch and finally the temple of Hatshepsut. Sayed also treated us to Sugarcane juice which was very refreshing and the scenery of the place was opposite the giant statues of Colossi of Memnon that made it memorable . It was all in all a great experience . In between Sayed also took us to some optional places that help us experience the history and culture like the perfume shop , guide book , Alabaster factory and shop . You need to use your discretion on how much you like to spend here and ensure you don't get into pressure of buying what you do not want. We returned in the evening by flight and again our driver at Cairo was waiting and dropped us back off at the hotel . Overall very enjoyable experience and I rate this 5 star and would also recommend our guide Sayed .

Amazing tour. A great value!

They really saved our Egypt trip. Mohammed booked us a last minute trip to Luxor after a different tour company canceled on us at the last minute. They stayed in communication with us and really did a great job on planning our trip. We saw all the highlights and made it back to the airport in plenty of time. Our guide Khaled was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions about ancient Egypt. Khaled quickly rerouted the tour once he found out we hadn’t had breakfast. He took us to a nice place for breakfast and we had a great lunch as well. The tour was well organized and great for a family with children. I say enough great things about the tour. I highly recommend Khaled and Mohammed for those considering a trip to Egypt.

Luxor is better to visit than Cairo

Luxor is a lovely city to visit. The Nile, the tombs and the various places of interest are great to visit. Kanak Temple is a MUST SEE - we stayed at a hotel along the Nile - breathtaking sunsets. There 'pushy' sales people everywhere and never pay the price they suggest. Always bargain and walk away if you need to.

Well-organized, action-packed day trip

This was a well-organized tour, from start to finish. There is too much to do in Luxor in a day, especially if part of your time is spent going to/from Cairo, but in this tour you accomplish as much as possible. We saw the Valley of the Kings, the temple of Hatshepsut, and the Temple of Luxor, along with a nice boat ride on the Nile in the afternoon. Our guide, Khaled, was a true expert. He answered every question in detail. He was also helpful and good-natured.

Disappointing

Our guide Ahmed and his Driver were Excellent. He was knowledgeable. The disappointment came from what I read and paid for $349 each person vs the actual program

Don´t doubt it!

This was definitely the highlight of our trip to Egypt. I thought I was not going to have enough time to see everthing but there was plently of time!! Our flight was at 7:30am and only took 1hour to arrive to Luxor. Said (our tour Guide) was waiting for us at the airport, fro mthe first moment he was really kind and nice to us. He made this whole experience even better! I´d def take this tour again. Ask for Said, he is the best!!

Luxor visit is a must

Full Day Luxor by Plane

Pros: -Taxi service from your accommodations to the airport and back. -Knowledgable tour guide (archaeologist) Khalid and great driver hagag -Did pay half the price for the cartouche necklaces (Cairo are a lot more expensive) Cons: -Don’t be fooled by the ticket prices they are not 25usd pay the Egyptian pound price (140-240egp which equates to 4-10$). You can pay with card. -Said I couldn’t go to the airport until 6pm (finished around 3pm) or else they wouldn’t let me in so paid for 2 extra excursions which weren’t worth anywhere near the money I spent. - have to pay for the little buses to take you to temple etc. -“Alabaster” show, try to push really hard to buy something. Did not see it in the itinerary. -Guide does not go into some of the temples -Don’t let guide buy something for you, said scarf was 100egp but actually asked for 400egp for said scarf.

Amazing trip to luxor

luxor day trip is a must to do while in egypt. we had great day with our private tour guide mr. khaked. lunch in a lical rest aurant was invkuded.

Highly recommend

The entire day was planned and activities in a way that was enjoyable and informative. Our guide was extremely informative and gave us all the small details. He had an archeological background and had been working on some of the excavations. He was very engaging and made the whole experience worthwhile. If I ever go back to Luxor I would definitely use this tour again.
