A wonderful day with the wonderful guide Ola

Ola was an incredible guide. She not only gave us a lot of important information but she was very kind throughout the trip. My parents are elderly and my mother is quite a slow walker due to her arthritis. Ola made sure to go at a slow pace, she took lots of family photos for us, and she found a place for my mother to sit in the shade and get hydrated when she couldn’t do the last leg of the tour. We’re very grateful to her for making our day so wonderful, and for making sure we got back in time to the hotel to catch our flight that night. Thank you for everything!

We had a wonderful experience. Omar was exceptional and went to great lengths to ensure we had a great day - in which we certainly did. He was so knowledgeable and 100% focused on our needs. So much history to take in. Our driver was very well mannered and made it a smooth travel 👌 An amazing experience, highly recommend.

Great day with a very...

Great day with a very knowledgeable guide. The only thing I would have different is to take lunch earlier.

Guide was excellent but the other aspects could have been better.

The guide was very knowledgeable and interesting and kept a good pace as we had much to see. Operations however had our pick up time an hour before needed as the first stop wasn’t even open. The driver himself was great but the car was very warm making it uncomfortably hot during much of the tour. Several times warmer in the car than outside walking. We toured with a different company the day before and it was much more professional.

Very fun and busy day! Lots to see. Guide was truly excellent and the driver skilled in the Cairo traffic.

Coptic Tour - Excellent

Essam (from EMO Tours Egypt) was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable about the history of the sites visited and explained things clearly and concisely. He was also extremely friendly and one of the best tour guides we have ever had. We both would highly recommend him. It was great value for what we spent.

Chill day in Cairo

Great tour to do if you want to spend a chill day learning the history in Cairo and the religious history of Egypt. Do it after the pyramids so it feels like a walk through time.

Amazing experience! Wafa and the driver were superkind to us and were listening to our extra questions with great care. We listed to the local music while driving and we felt really safe with them.

Best Guide in the world

We really enjoyed a lot this tour. Mahmoud was very nice and helpful. He made the tour really enjoyable and solve all our doubts. He was also very patients with us while we were shopping, and never left us alone until we arrive to our hotel. I would recommend It to everybody without any doubt.

Coptic Cairos finest 😊

This tour was stunning..... We were able to visit many parts of coptic cairo as well as several influential mosques. Our tour guide Mahmoud was so good he had a vast amount of knowledge and answered every question we had while giving indepth information about each church/mosques and synagogue. He was very considerate and allowed us to stop for a bite to eat and made sure we covered spot. We LOVED IT !!!! and will recommend it to everyone 👍🏻

A Must do tour of Cairo

Excellent tour that will help you understand the history of Egypt and gives you a good feel for the city of Cairo. The guide was very knowledgeable and made the whole experience so rich. Would definitely recommend as it was time very well spent. Would definitely recommend!

Religions sites of Cairo - an amazing tour

One the best experiences we have had in Cairo! Our tour guide, Sayed Amin, was exceptional - he is a fount of knowledge and took us to the best places at all the locations we visited. We learned a lot about the beliefs of the people of ancient Egypt, and how those beliefs shaped the main religions in Egypt/the world today. And, of course, we took amazing photos along the way :) Definitely recommend the tour and Sayed's services.

Informative and awe-inspiring

Our guide Essam was absolutely incredible. From pick up, he began to share a bunch of history woven as a story to give us a background and base knowledge for each thing we then went and visited. He was incredibly knowledgeable, generous with his information, we had some wonderful conversations and went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable. All of the sites were beautiful, full of colour and vibrancy and wonderful to take in. Our driver was also perfect with his timings and got us there safely. We had a yummy buffet lunch on the river also. A wonderful day out.

Great Cairo Tour

Great trip of Islamic and Coptic Cairo with a great guide. Lots seen during the day and finished very happy with the days experience. Would recommend.

Excellence in services, warm and sweet professional guideance

We had a fantastic day visiting Coptic and Islamic Cairo. Our fantastic guide (Loubna) and fantastic driver (my apologies, but I cannot recall his name properly, but he was an amazingly sweet orthodox catholic gentlemen. Shame on me!) were both a huge plus. Kudos to both of them for excellent services. Couldn't ask for better company to visit all planned places. Loubna, as an egyptologist, was very knowledgeable, having provided us with lots of important information. She also looked carefully after my mom (an older citizen). Besides, we had enough time to take photos and to explore the sites at our own pace. 20 out of 10.

Great overview of world religions

All of the places of worship were beautiful with amazing architecture unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Asmaa, my guide, was so knowledgeable about all religions and we had good discussions comparing ways of belief. I highly recommend her and this tour!

Amazing! Beyond just visiting Cairo.

This tour was amazing. It gave us a complete look and understanding of the different key points in Cairo. Fatimah, our guide, was excellent! Her explanations where right at point and very fullfilling. Yussef, our driver, was great too! We had a great time and learned a lot.

FEMALE SOLO TRAVELERS! This is for you! The driver was so so as he was late and I got worried I wasn’t going to make it on time. I got an amazing tour guide, Fatima, she was nice and very funny! She took amazing photos. She was patient and also knowledgeable. The churches and mosque were amazing!

Good as a first few

The tour was very good for a first orientation in the old city of cairo. The guide Ali was not soo good, he offered us pictures to buy and give us only information about Islamic religion. He knows not so much about the other historical facts.

Wonderful

Overall I think this tour is underrated. I hadn’t really hear a lot about Coptic Cairo before coming here but with 25 million Egyptians forming the Christian community, it was so eye opening.. Our tour guide Waleed, was informed, patient and just truly wonderful. I felt so safe in his hands and he really minded us. He was also able to answer almost any questions we had about Egyptian culture, history, etc and we thoroughly enjoyed learning from him. Seemingly all tour guides in Cairo are accompanied by a driver which seems to be do with the fact that parking at the sites would be a challenged (as is the driving itself). Our driver Sayeed was also more than capable and it was great comfort in the chaotic driving of Cairo. You never get used to the beeping they use as indicators, but we felt at all times safe which was important. Thanks so much both!

The tour was nice and informative. The guide Ahmad spoke very good English and described everything nicely. Very friendly person. He helped us to book one trip which was not covered in the tour for next day.The driver Mohamad was extremely courteous and helped in every possible way. The vehicle provided was very comfortable with good AC. We all enjoyed the trip every much. Will give 5 out 5

Okayish.. can be done without a guide

The guide i believe can make a difference in many places but this tour can be managed on your own and wikipedia.

Friendly and accomadating

It was an excellent tour. I can only recommend it. I learned a lot and it was impressive. The guid was excellent (we experienced other tours as well where we couldn't claim that). She was really nice, friendly and knowledgeable. Best tour we had in Cairo.

We had a very good guide, Fatima from Emo Tours, who explained a lot and was full of knowledge. Very good tour, many interesting facts and also many details about historical and actual life in Cairo and Egypt.

Mina is great

Our guide, Mina was amazing! He conveyed Christian, Muslim, Egyptian history, culture, geography, climate perspectives clearly and respectfully. He also knew all the best places for photos and how to capture the most interesting photos. Egypt is a spectacular destination and an amazing place, especially during Ramadan/Holy Week. We were able to add a third person to our tour at the last minute and he and the driver were happy to oblige. Definitely a worthwhile tour. Can’t wait for the next one.

Great tour, great guide and driver

Guide and driver arrived on time and we had a great and informative tour. The tour was really a private one for the 3 of us in a comfortable car. Everything went as planned. We felt safe and comfortable. Lunch was also good at a local place.

Avoid Emo Tours. Much better options!

We had used Emo Tours for a trip to Saqarra and although the experience was ok we had far better guides in Egypt. Hadn't planned on using Emo again but chose this tour based on the description without realizing it was the same company. Booked late so couldn't cancel. The tour was advertised to be 6 hours and I had asked if we could be dropped off at the airport and was told yes, just mention that to the guide. They offer pick-up and drop-off at the airport included in the tour so we did not expect a charge for this. The tour ended up being 3 not 6 hrs and there was going to be a $25US charge to get dropped off at the airport so we asked to be returned to our hotel and found our own way to the airport. The guide was pleasant enough but provided minimal information. We listened in on other guides who described the sites in far more detail. Although Emo may be a little cheaper, you would be better to pay more and get much more out of the experience. There are so many wonderful guides in Egypt but perhaps Emo doesn't pay well enough to attract them.

Very informative walk/tour. Both the mosques and hanging church were very interesting, well worth a visit.

Awesome

The most memorable part of my tour is the Mahammed Ali mosque.. it's the most beautiful place that I have ever seen. Also the tour guide Entesar Esmail was magnificent , informative and very knowledgeable in explaining all the historical monuments through out the tour , she couldn't have done it any better. Well done. Defiantly got my money's worth. I recomend this tour with her.

Absolutey great!

This tour was awesome, and I really enjoyed it! My guide was Mirna, and the driver was Ahmed. Mirna was a very knowledgeable and super friendly guide, who taught me a lot about Islamic and Coptic traditions in Cairo. I certainly recommend Mary and this tour to everyone!

Could have been better

The good: pickup was on time and we had a good driver. The sites were great to see, with The Citadel being our favorite. Visually, we thought Islamic Cairo was better than Coptic Cairo. Says full day but it was about 5-6 hrs max which is great The bad: our tour guide did not speak great English. It was so difficult at times that I had to pull out Google translate on my phone. She would explain the areas we were in, almost like on a script. Once we asked questions, and went off script, she would give this look of confusion and shake her head, basically saying she didn't understand us. Mentally, we were checked out and tried to stealthily listen to guides who spoke better English. I don't blame our tour guide though, as she tried her best. I blame the tour company for putting her in the situation.

Perfect if you have a short amount of time in Cairo!!

Highly recommend anyone visiting Cairo to do this tour. We had Ahmed Refaat and from the moment he picked us up at the hotel, his kindness and passion for Egyptian history was infectious. He was very knowledgeable and always answered any question we had. He went above and beyond to make this a memorable experience for us. We also learnt so much about Coptic and Islamic Cairo and are so glad to see what we did.

Brilliant coverage.. Our tour guide and the driver were excellent.. Our guide was a genuine guy and wasn’t the one bothered with unnecessary small talk. He was very informative and accommodating. We ended the evening with Felucca Sail trip and Emo arranged the same. Overall a very nice day out!!

Very nice trip to see some incredible religious architecture

Excellent day out to see the grand hill top Mohammed Ali mosque. The site and view is excellent. A different perspective of Cairo. The mosque is beautiful inside and the courtyard yard is very serene. The two mosques below are in the busy streets and are a quite big inside. I like how the design masks the street noise. Grand spaces and arches. Again very Beautiful inside with ornate ceilings. The last part of the tour was the Christian churches including the hanging church that has no foundation. Very charming. Also in an area that is pedestrianised so no dreaded cars. The synagogue was closed so we missed that. Depending on pace and amount of people on tour this could be half day. If it is I would ask to go to the civilisation museum and see the royal mummies. Good information and pictures.

Poor guided tour

The driver and the guide were very polite. The guide wasn't knowledge about the tour and the other guides that we overhear with other groups were giving us more information. They get 2 stars because we had a really good driver otherwise it would had been one star only. This was my friend's first tour guide experience in Egypt and she was very disappointed.
