We booked this tour and received message from hesham the tou owner who rongizr the trip for us . It was waiting on plane but he did a great job to find 3 seat for us .our guide in Luxor Samy was very kind and informative to explore all Luxor sightseeing. So glad to visit Luxor one day as short vacation in Egypt . So happy

BEWARE- DO NOT BOOK WITH HESHAM

DO NOT BOOK- YOU WILL REGRET IT !!! If I could give Hesham zero stars I would. I could not begin to describe the level of disrespect and anger I received from this man. I booked, and paid in full, this trip to Luxor and he refused to allow me to go on the day I booked. I booked this trip months in advance on Viator, for the day that online said was in fact available. I had various excursions already booked for every other day I will be in Egypt, but he insisted I go the day he chose. I could not because of all the other tours I had already booked, but that didn't matter to him. He sent me aggressive voice memos on WhatsApp and continuously told me to cancel all other excursions and book with him. When I told him repeatedly that I wasn't able to, he became angry and more aggressive. He kept trying to force me to book more excursions with him, but I could not. He proceeded to send me 30 links to his company's tours, which I repeatedly declined. Hesham was so angry that I could not be in Luxor the day that was convenient to him that in the last minute he cancelled my excursion to Luxor. DO NOT BOOK WITH HESHAM!!!!

Magnificent treasures of Luxor and the comfort and knowledge of a private guide

Breathtaking tour of all the highlights of Luxor! It’s absolutely incredible to see it in person. Our guide Dina took us to the best spots at times they would be less crowded, and she was so incredibly knowledgeable. We had our own real Egyptologist! Highly recommend asking for her for your tour. We also were not interested in the sandwich provided so she arranged a boat trip to Banana Island and an amazing meal on the banks of the Nile.

Amazing to touch history

Came for the day to see Luxor’s sights from Cairo. The pickup was easy, our driver was great. Dina was an outstanding tour guide!! She gave us all the history and adjusted the itinerary as needed. We visited Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut monument, had a lovely lunch, Karnak temple and Luxor temple. Totally loved our day, thank you!

Amazing sites

We had a knowledgeable Egyptologist, Remon, who was friendly and flexible. He showed us what we wanted and skipped sales stops we were not interested in. I wish the flights were booked better as we didn’t return to Cairo until midnight and there were earlier flights. Over all a good taste of Luxor

A day in Luxor.

Marian was a terrific guide. She was very knowledgeable and told us lots of history about the kings and their families. She told us the history of each place we visited and made it very interesting. We started out as strangers and left as friends. I would highly recommend this tour.

Well-spent time and money

Fantastic tour. Dina is an excellent guide. She scheduled our tour in such a way as to avoid the crowds at each spot. She picked me up at the Luxor airport, and we headed straight to the west bank of the Nile to visit the temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and then to the Valley of the Kings. Dina shared fascinating insights about the motivations behind the design and construction of each temple and each tomb, as well as the reasons why some of the cartouches and statues had been defaced or destroyed, which illustrates how human nature has not changed in all these thousands of years! For lunch, we took a boat to Banana Island, which is along the migration path of several migratory birds, so it is a great spot for birdwatching. For lunch, we had a delicious Hamam Mahshi and molokhia. After lunch, we headed over to the east bank of the Nile to visit Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple, as Dina continued to share insights about the design, construction, and modification of the temples. Overall, this tour is time and money well spent!

Dina, our tour guide, was amazing! So much history. We learned a lot and was thrilled with her. If you have time, Luxor is a must!

Amazing trip back to Ancient Egyptian times

This was a great trip to experience all the history and culture that Luxor has to offer. I was also lucky enough to have Dina as my tour guide who was super knowledgeable, friendly and kind, and was eager to answer all my questions! Having a good tour guide always makes or breaks these kind of tours, for me (less so what we actually end up visiting). I got the full package with flights and tickets. When I looked myself at the prices, I don’t think I could have managed a much cheaper flight. Plus you don’t have the hassle with booking one. Pick up was 3:30am from my hotel in 6th of October city which was GBP 20 extra (in cash). Driver was on time. Flight was at 6am. I was greeted in Luxor by Dina and we went on to visit Hatshepsut Temple, Valley of Kings, Colossi of Memnon and finished at the Karnak Temple. I don’t want to spoil too much about each site but just recommend to visit the Seti tomb in the Valley of Kings as it was the most beautiful one. But it costs EGP 1,400 extra at entry. Tutankhamun’s tomb also costs extra but is not really worth it in comparison, so don’t expect too much or you might be disappointed. The one benefit of it is that they have his mummy in a glass chamber on display. After the Hatshepsut Temple we also visited a local souvenir shop where they first explain and show you how they make the various items you can buy there. I guess these kind of visits are a staple when it comes to tours (no matter what tour you do or how much you pay) but at least they didn’t make me feel like I had to buy something (which I had experienced at other tours during my travels). And maybe there is something nice you might want to pick up. Just remember to haggle for at least 20%!

Best day in Luxor

A once in a lifetime day. I had the pleasure of being shown around Luxor by the most incredible guide Dina and driver Mina. As a solo traveller, they both ensured my short time was as best as it could be. It was nice to have a friendly face waiting for me at the airport to start my day. Dina was incredibly kind and very knowledgeable as we toured all the sites. She is an amazing person and really made the day quite memorable! If your hesitant about travelling to Egypt, please come and visit to see how beautiful the historic sites and local people are here. Dina and Mina ensured my trip was safe and tailed to my liking. I can’t thank them both enough.

Luxor All in a Day

Great tour! Everything was smooth and easy if you’re after seeing Luxor all in a day from Cairo. Clear communication in hotel and airport pick ups. Option of the Aladdin Banana restaurant was a great lunch and location! I got the chicken and my husband got the beef tagine. Thanks Remon for an amazing day.

Must do day trip if your visiting Cairo.

This day trip was a great experience. The whole process was seamless. We were picked up promptly at our hotel, were taken to the airport, upon arrival at Luxor our driver was already waiting for us to start the tour. The return to the hotel was the same, very seamless. Our guide Remon was fantastic, he took us from site to site and explained the history and then gave us time to explore on our own without feeling rushed. We felt very taken care of. Thanks again Remon.

Luxor amazing!

Dina was such an amazing guide on our one day trip to Luxor. She was very knowledgeable and without her, we could not have truly appreciated the history behind the sites. She’s also patient and kind, we felt like we made a friend. Luxor is so beautiful with its contrast of greenery next to the desert. The temple in the mountains is amazing, all the sites there are just so enormous and awe inspiring. Being there and walking amongst history is an amazing experience. We wish we could have spent more than one day in Luxor. Throughout the day we also visited a few stores; for handmade stonework, woman made Egyptian cotton, and perfume. All were very nice and did not push you to purchase anything. We had enough time left over in our tour that we were able to add a boat ride on the Nile! We went in the beginning of November 2023 and we felt safe in Cairo and Luxor. I highly recommend this tour!

Perfect tour of Luxor

The tour was great! They sent a car to pick me up at my hotel in Cairo and took me to the airport! Maret picked me up in Luxor and inmediately started the tour! She gave me lots of tips and took lots of great pics! I'm so happy I took this tour! I definitly recommend it!

Luxor - safe to travel and do not worry!

First, would advise to all people that Egypt is totally safe despite the conflict in Gaza. As Americans, we had some initial concern but decided to continue with our trip. I think our fear comes from ignorance. Egypt is not involved in the conflict and is separated by the entire Sinai peninsula. The Egyptian people are incredibly friendly and tourism is their #1 industry. We were amazed by the level of security at the airport and throughout the city. Tourism is incredibly important and the city takes multiple steps to ensure that there is no danger to tourists. The only regret we had is not staying in Luxor for longer. Our time constraint did not allow us to stay so this tour was perfect. There is an early morning flight that gets you into Luxor. Then you are whisked around to all the important sites. Dina was our guide and was incredible. She has incredible knowledge and most importantly, she was very patient. Many of the guides in Egypt formally study Egyptology and their wealth of knowledge is vast. In many ways, it must be incredibly frustrating as tourists like me don’t truly appreciate all the history. She was kind and patient - explaining and story telling. She also understands that we also want to have pictures to commemorate our travels. It was a long day but in the end, it was definitely worth it and would strongly recommend. Egypt is well known for the Giza pyramids but a day trip to Luxor is something I would have regretted had I not gone.

Great Tour of Luxor with Remon

Remon and George were great! They were on time and easy to work with. Remon was very knowledgeable and eager to share what he knew at every site. We saw everything we wanted and he gave us local recommendations. Lovely experience overall!

Great but not ideal lunch time

I had a good time on the tour today. Our guide, Remon, was very knowledgeable and accomodating. He took other party members home mid-tour because they were feeling sick, brought me to look at cartouches per my request and to an atm machine to withdraw cash. We underestimated how busy the itinerary is. We had elderly people in our group that had a hard time in the middle of the tour. But also heat (early October) and hunger were factors. We hadn't eaten breakfast and there is A LOT of walking and steps in this tour. So, just know lunch wasnt originally going to happen until after tour (like after 4 pm) unless we opted to do a lunch across the nile at an additional fee. That's the reason for 1 star off.

Dina was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable in Egyptology. The tour was smooth. We got to see all the amazing sites and the history was remarkable. She took us for lunch at Banana Island which the food was to die for. I definitely would recommend this tour and if you can ask for Dina. She is amazing.

Wow!! Definitely a must!!

Wow! It was an incredible adventure!! This is my 3rd trip to Egypt and my friend Aaron first time. That said, our tour guide Remon and our driver Almed was outstanding! Remon was super knowledgeable and just a great person all together. Exceptional customer service!!

Very well operated great tour

All drivers and guide were punctual and courteous. I found the guide Remon knowledge and easy to interact with. He happily took photos for me and was very attentive . Note that the included lunch is very light, but that's what I needed that day. I opted out of the longer lunch with a Nile cruise. This means you'll finish your tour earlier, so it's better to co-ordinate your flight back accordingly. As mentioned by others, there was an unplanned stop at a local village souvenir shop with a hard sale on stone carved souvenirs. After spending a couple of days in Giza, that didn't phase me too much. The prices he'll throw at you will be x20 the outside price. Don't fall for it. I would recommend this trip if you're a solo traveller. It made visiting Luxor easy and I got to see everything I wanted to see.

Luxor in a day!!

We were hesitant to book a tour to Luxor by plane because there are so many bad experiences mentioned in different reviews. Hesham was the only tour company that had no bad reviews and we booked with them. Everything went smoothly, Hesham sent us the air tickets by text (pdf) very quickly .Sayed was our driver to and from the airport and he was punctual, friendly and very pleasant. Our tour guide was Mohammad he speaks excellent Spanish and answered all our questions, very patient, gave us ample time we never felt rushed and explained all the history and details in Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Karnak and Luxor Temples. The tour included 3 tumbs and We bought the tickets for the extra 3 Tombs (Tut, SETI, Ramses V and IV) they only accept credit cards at the entrance . We learned so much with him.He took good care of us . The tour ended just in time to go to the airport around 7 to catch the plane back to Cairo. It is much better to get a private tour as the attention is personalized ; we were lucky we had Mohammed and Sayed! Thank you Hesham!

Amazing experience, highly recommend!!!

I have always wanted to visit Egypt , so I decided to visit with my sister for our birthday in order to learn more about the country, it’s people and the history that has intrigued me since childhood. I searched relentlessly for a tour company that had real -life reviews of other tourists that had traveled to Egypt to explore just as I wanted to do. I was elated when I found Hesam tours and read all the positive reviews from other travelers and so I booked the full private day tour from Cairo to Luxor which promised an adventure of a lifetime. The package I booked included bookings for our flight from Cairo to Luxor by Egyptair , we were picked up at our hotel early morning and chauffeured to Cairo international and from there our day of sightseeing began. We felt safe the entire way throughout which is the most important thing given that we do not speak the native language and had never traveled to Egypt prior. By the way , even the drivers for pick up , drop off and on the tour made every effort to speak to us in English so communication was a breeze. We learnt so much about Egypt on this trip courtesy of the most amazing Tour guide and licensed Egyptologist Remon Romany who went above and beyond to explain everything in detail to us plus he had the greatest sense of humor so we also laughed the entire da. He covered information from ancient Egypts’ East and West Banks. Every aspect of this trip was impeccable , from the Nile River to the Valley of the Kings, to visiting numerous tombs, to exploring the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and walking through Karnak Temple. Our guide accompanied us to local shops to purchase our souvenirs like cartouches and papyrus artifacts. After the tour we had lunch and was accompanied back to the airport where again Remon made sure we were securely checked in before bidding us farewell. I can’t sing him enough praises as he was just amazing and we will definitely be requesting his services on our next trip to Egypt. When we arrived back to Cairo we we picked up by our Driver Eslam again who brought us back to our hotel, he was also very pleasant . My wife and I had an absolutely incredible day in Luxor! After flying in from Cairo, we were warmly welcomed by our exceptional tour guide, Maret. From the moment we met Maret, her passion, pride, and enthusiasm for her hometown of Luxor and its rich Egyptian history were truly contagious. Throughout the day, we explored remarkable sites including the Temple of Karnak, the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, and Luxor Temple. Maret skillfully guided us through each location, ensuring not only that we gained knowledge but also that we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and had time to ourselves to explore and reflect. Despite the packed schedule, there were ample opportunities for rest, and Maret even arranged a delightful boat trip on the Nile to a wonderful lunch spot, which turned out to be an unexpected highlight. For anyone seeking to make the most of their time in Luxor, this themed tour is an absolute must! If possible, request Maret as your guide – you'll be amazed and delighted, just as we were.

Amazing & a must-do tour!

What an amazing experience guided by the most amazing, knowledgeable and friendly tour guide Dina and her driver Gerges. Being two females that have booked independently a trip to Egypt we felt completely at ease immediately when greeted by Dina at Luxor Airport and felt safe and looked after in her care after experiencing Cairo & Giza which was a little overwhelming to begin our trip. Our flight was delayed from Cairo to Luxor and Dina took it upon herself to re-organise the order of our tour to ensure we did not miss out on anything due to site closing times etc. We highly recommend requesting Dina as your tour guide. The driving is also chaotic in Egypt however Gerges’ driving was safe and professional at all times. Hesham was prompt and maintained great communication from start to finish. Overall a great experience & is a must-do tour if visiting Luxor.

Amazing Luxor tour - highly recommended

We had an amazing Luxor tour with Michael! Michael was very informative and had the best day with him. Our early morning flight included pick up from our hotel in Cairo and then pick up from Luxor airport. We spent the day on the east and west banks and toured all the main sites. We upgraded our lunch with a boat cruise and view of the Nile (highly recommend this). Our driver George was also amazing and gave us a few laughs along the way. We highly recommend this tour - really made our Egypt tour memorable!

Amazing Luxor

The history of the area was AMAZING! Our tour guide Deena did a good job of explaining things although she did get a bit tired towards the end of the day (it was very hot!) and was on her phone more often than we would have liked. But we would highly recommend spending a day in Luxor to round out the Egyptian history!
