BAIT AND SWITCH - AVOID!!

This tour was (and still is) offered with 2 options: 1. Basic 5-star, and 2. Deluxe 5-star. We selected the Deluxe 5-star option, and in doing so, paid an additional $6,031 for that deluxe option for a family of 5. The difference between the 2 options were the level and quality of the hotel and cruise ship accommodations, which are clearly documented. Viator and the local operator (Lets Explore Egypt) failed to provide ANY of the listed deluxe accommodations. I documented this to Viator and the Operator on day 1 of the tour in writing and continued to document this 19 more times throughout. To date, Viator has refunded $1,100 of the $6,031 of the additional delux option fees, and has since stopped responding. DO NOT CHOOSE THIS TOUR. If you do, DO NOT CHOOSE THE DELUXE OPTION. You will be ripped off! I have pictures of the nasty Barcelo hotel they booked for us in Cairo. Definitely NOT the Mena House they prommissed!

Amazing 2 days in Luxor Thanks to Emad Salama who is so knowledgeable and passionate about his country and sharing it with those who visit! Would highly recommend!

Great experience

This was a wonderful experience, from customizing the trip with Ms. Sophie Lu who handled all the advanced reservations, to Mr.Omar who took care of out transportation from and to Cairo airport and Mr Sameh who was our guide in Cairo itself. But above all we enjoyed our guide Mr. Abd El Rehemm , who traveled with us on the boat cruise, largest portion of the trip -- by the firth day we felt like he was a family member. Everything worked as promised, everybody was always on time, and everything ran smoothly and without glitches. Highly recommended!

Avoid this "Deluxe" Tour

We (my wife and I) were put up at the Radisson Blu, which is NOT a 5 star hotel, even by Egyptian standards. More like 3 stars. It was an awful place. It has an atrium and so every room could hear electronic disco music from a "Buffalo Wings" restuarant on the lobby floor, playing until midnite. Horrible. We had a great deal of trouble with scheduling and modifying our tour itinerary. We almost missed the flight to Aswan. All the tour guides were good, but not the scholars we thought we were paying for. The tour boat on the Nile, the "AMWAJ," was also not 5 star Deluxe. Access to the WIFI cost $40.00! The food was mediocre, at best. This was not the Deluxe tour we paid for. We would have been better off taking a group tour, and for fewer days.

Egypt on steroids

It is difficult to pick my favorite experience but the ATV and camel ride at Giza Pyramids rank high on the list.

Paula, our tour guide, was one of the best. My girlfriend and I were so lucky to have gotten him. He took his time explaining everything and answered all our questions and took extra time to show us some hidden gems. If you decide to do this tour, definitely ask for him. He will not disappoint.

GIZA, SPHINX, SAQQARA, and MEMPHIS TOUR with YASSER & ISLAM

I did the Giza, Sphinx, Saqqara, Memphis, and Lunch tour with YASSER and ISLAM. One of the best tourist experiences I’ve had (I’ve had plenty). Islam was the driver, and he and our tour guide Yasser were on schedule, and Yasser was full of information, FUNNY, knowledgeable, and they both showed expert care and concern for our personal items. Yasser even helped with the pricing/bartering a few times throughout the day as well. I’ve taken many tours throughout the world, but Yasser is truly special. I never felt rushed. Never felt embarrassed or foolish for asking something simple or basic, given the different culture. He has the gift (and is also a polyglot) of making one feel welcome, appreciated, and respected while still being professional and inserting interesting nuggets of information to help round out ones experience and understanding of Egyptian culture—ancient and contemporary. Just an overall FABULOUS experience with YASSER and ISLAM. Book your tour with them! You will not be disappointed.

Female solo travel

I just had full day giza, saqqara and mephis tour wich i enjoyed so much, i super highly recomend this company. My tour guide was the best guide i could have AHMED MOHAMMED, i felt very safe during the tour, he is very funny and knowledgeable about all the sites you visit. Great experience

Our guide Mary speaks very good English and made our visit exceptional. She was very kind and professional. She took us to a local restaurant for lunch that was great! We had a lot of fun thanks to you! Notre guide Mary parle très bien l’anglais et a rendu notre visite exceptionnelle. Elle a été très gentille et professionnelle. Egypt with Mimo is something you shouldnt miss

My guide Mimo was outstanding. His English was super super good. His knowledge about the history and present was super good too! It was a day with 100% entertainment because Mimo is such a rare personality!!! I defenitely recommend him and i will make sure to go once again with him very soon!

BEST tour of Pyramids and Egyptian Museum with Aziza!

I used this company to book a tour of the Giza pyramids and the Egyptian Museum. I had the most amazing experience with Aziza as my guide! She was incredibly knowledgeable and so kind! Aziza and our awesome driver, Gerges, arrived early to pick us up at our hotel. When my friend and I arrived to meet Aziza and Gerges, they both were very welcoming. The car was comfortable and the tour company provided us each with water bottles. Before entering the pyramids, we stopped at an Egyptian 7/11 type store to grab snacks and go to the bathroom (Aziza had us stop especially to use these cleaner bathrooms which was great). We were only able to visit the pyramids on the weekend (a Friday) so it was PACKED. Fortunately, we had Aziza and she expertly guided us through the crowds and to the pyramids. At the pyramids, she gave us thorough explanations of their history and Egypt’s history more generally. She knew the BEST photo spots and angles. She took great photos of us and gave us free time to take our own photos after her explanations. After the pyramids we did a camel ride, which we pre-booked. The camel ride was great and offered stunning photo ops. After the camel, Aziza and Gerges took us to the Sphinx. Again there, Aziza explained the history, took photos for us, and gave us free time to explore. While at the pyramids several children came up to us to take photos and Aziza helped us get them away (I felt bad not taking photos but it would have been absolute chaos if I had decided to take one). After the Sphinx we stopped and saw how papyrus was made at a certified store (cool process; no pressure to buy anything). We then proceeded to the Egyptian Museum. There was a bit of traffic and the normal organized chaos that are Egyptian streets but Gerges was an incredible driver and we felt safe the entire time. At the museum, Aziza again provided wonderful explanations (I should note her English is great) and gave us time to roam around and take photos. We had originally planned to go to the museum ourselves but we were SO glad to have a guide. Most of the exhibits do not have explanations so it was extremely helpful to have someone explain everything to us. I would highly recommend getting a guide, especially Aziza, for the museum!! At the end of our tour, Gerges drove us back to our hotel safe and sound. Aziza also gave us recommendations on where to eat and go in cairo! Overall, I cannot recommend Aziza and Gerges enough! They made our experience here in Cairo amazing. They both went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy. Aziza even helped me look for an Egyptian music CD for my dad! 12/10 experience, seriously!

Best of Egypt 9 Day tour from Cairo

A very professional prompt and secure service provided by a strongly knit team of people who took us from North to the South of Egypt and back and also made our experience delightful and informative. Highly recommended it.

Trip with the twist $$$

VIATOR website has advertised the tour “Best of Egypt 9-Days Tour From Cairo” (product code: 141140) by Egypt tour operator “Let’s Explore Egypt” for very attractive price and we have booked it for 6 people. Payed AU$940 per person (as quoted), we sent copies of passports for three couples. Communication from Viator and Let’s Explore Egypt was very poor – they didn’t replay to our phone calls and emails and haven’t provided any details requested, until a week prior the start of the tour they advised that only a private tour would be available if we pay extra US$740 cash on arrival which we agreed to. On arrival at hotel in Cairo representative of “Let’s Explore Egypt” has informed us that the three couples were put into 2 rooms with 3 beds in each room and were told the whole tour was booked for only two rooms (3 people in each room for three married couples) without consulting with us. To change the tour booking to 3 rooms they demanded extra US$1220 for one extra room hire (for 6 nights in hotel and on the boat as train cabins are for 2 people). The tour office was very rude and not answering our phone calls. It felt like a rip-off and we refused to pay as no details were provided of how this amount has been calculated. It was very unpleasant experience. Never the less the guides, tours to sightseeing, hotels, food and Nile cruise ship were very good. Travellers from Australia

Great guides who provided information about Egypt. Food very good and people nice. Felt safe in this country. Great accommodations in hotel and on boat. Shops we were brought to for jewelry and essential oils were overpriced (rip offs).

Nice Tour with a twist

Tour itself was very nice. Mohamed greeted us at the Airport . Hotels were not five star quality. Cruise was good. Mohamed our guide from Luxor to Ashwan and all stops in between was really nice. After we booked the tour one month in advance they increased the cost by 25 percent just 5 days before the trip. We also added Abu symbel , , Islamic Cairo and local market trips in Cairo and Luxor. Also the tour company did not reach us with the exact itenary 2 days before the trip. Overall a nice experience but expect surprises. Food is mostly local . Unless you’re adventurous in trying new kinds of food you may want to stick to western food . There is lots of traffic in Cairo. On our trip to Alexandria they closed the road for 3 hours due to fog. Weather was great in December. I would recommend this to my friends

A very nice trip

This trip covers most of must see places in Egypt. Pyramids and temples are breathtaking. They are true miracles. The Nile river cruise is beyond expectations with clean room, delicious food, and nice crews; not mention beautiful sceneries along the river and magnificent sunrise and sunset. The night sleeping train was so so but not as bad as expected or other people complained. The trip would not be so satisfactory and enjoyable without tour guid Ahmed. He is professional, knowledgeable, and humorous. He tried his best to meet our needs. We highly recommend him. Overall the trip is beyond our expectations, considering the price we paid for this trip.

Great Experience of Egypt

Our tour started when we arrived at Cairo International Airport. We were greeted by Mohamed whose facilitation made the process of obtaining visas and going through custom very smooth. Our tour guide Ahmed is very professional and knowledgeable. He organized our tours efficiently so we had the best experience on Egypt’s ancient history and culture, and its modern life. Ahmed is also a caring and funny guy, who made our tour a very memorable and pleasant experience. The Nile cruise was wonderful. The cabin was clean and spacious. The food was fresh and delicious. The views along the Nile from the Sun Deck are beautiful! The rides from Cairo to Luxor and from Aswan to Giza by the sleeper trains were a bit disappointing. The cabins were small and old. The bumpy motion and squeaking noice from the train made it hardly a “sleeper”. Would recommend flying if possible.

Great Experience - Exceeding Expectations!!

Our tour has been a fantastic experience! We were greeted right out of the gate of Egypt Air flight by Mohamud, who helped us get the visas and through customs with no issue. Our tour guide Ahmed was very professional and patient with our great many questions, and arranged the tours perfectly so that we gain knowledge as we go through the sites. He acted as a good history teacher with a well-prepared plan to build our minds up from both mythological and historical perspectives. Beside the tours, Ahmed also brought a lot of fun, taking us through the local markets, tasting authentic Egyptian food, and showing us interesting cultural details such as “city of the dead”, unfinished buildings, carpet schools, etc. Ahmed has proven to us that this tour is “Best of Egypt”!!

9 Day Lets Explore Egypt Tour

Our 9 day tour started with being meet and picked up at Cairo airport and taken to our Hotel which was I have to say very average but satisfactory in the next 3 days we visited the Pyramids, Egyptian museum, churches and mosques, the private guides in Cairo were excellent. We took the overnight sleeper train from Cairo to Aswan for " The experience " but I have to say it was not a great experience the cabin was tiny, old and not very clean, I would definitely recommend flying if possible. I would recommend taking the cruise from Aswan to Luxor it is a less busy route. The cruise boat was unfortunately a disappointment it was old, run down and not clean at all. Nearly all the other cruise boats we saw were far superior in quality. 'Warning' our boat was called Mis Semiramis 1 try to check which boat you will take, there are websites that you can check the quality and amenities of the cruise boats. I highly recommend Quad biking around the Pyramids, a Camel Ride and in Luxor Hot Air Ballooning it's amazing. Check Trip Advisor there are different companies that do the ballooning and differ greatly in price. I booked with another company two days before going. The temples and tombs were fascinating. It is always better to use Whatsapp than email you will get a faster reply. I do recommend a tour with a private guide its a lot better than a group tour guide. Its sad but the average person in Egypt is very poor and the quality of life is not great there does not seem to be much money put back in to society, it does make you wonder if there is serious corruption in the higher levels of power in Egypt. Egypt does rely on tourism so please visit, it is steeped in history and culture.

We arrived to Cairo in the morning where we was then picked up by our taxi driver Ali. We had breakfast where we also met our tour guide Ibrahiem. Overall they were both very friendly and professional. We both enjoyed the pyramids and found the our guide had good knowledge in all areas of the tour

Great day

We did not do this 9 day trip just a 1 day from Hurghada to see the pyramids, Sphinx and the museum. Although we have had issues with who we booked through our Tour guide Ibrahem Rashad and our driver Ali were very good. Showed us good places to eat Egyptian foods and very very helpful with giving us tips as to what to do or not to do when we were out and about. Ibrahem was very good with taking pictures and knew all the ways to pose to get the good tourist ones.

Beautiful trip in Egypt

I've travelled with my husband in November and we enjoyed the overall experience, especially the Nile Cruise which is amazing. Mohammed, the guide we had in Giza & Cairo, was knowledgeable, kind and respectful to us. David, the guide we had during the Nile cruise on Nile, was absolutely amazing. You could see he is an experienced guide, loves his job and knows a lot about Egypt's history. He wasn't pushy with the optional tours, he took good care of us during the time spent on the cruise and did everything he could to accomodate our needs. On a side note,I'd strongly advice the agency to improve the communication with the tourists by sending the complete and accurate before the trip. Another aspect I would like to underline is that the visits to the shops where the agency has an agreement with are not a great experience for the tourists. Both my husband and I, but also other tourists did not enjoy those visits as the sales people were always expecting us to buy something from them. Overall, I'd say it was a great experience from which I have learned a lot about Egypt 😁

9 Day Trip to Cairo

My tour guide Hussein along with Hany (driver) has made my solo trip the most pleasant experience. My tour guide was very nice and respectful, attentive to my needs and answered all of my questions. Absolutely knowledgeable about the history as well as how Egypt is in modern days. My driver hany was very kind, always opened the door for me made me feel comfortable and was an exceptional driver through the busy streets of Cairo. I have learn so much about Egypt from these last two days here in Cairo. Highly recommend!!

Wonderful Trip

Initial communication before the trip was so so. But once in Egypt the communication was better. The 9 day tour of Egypt that included a visit to the Giza Piramids, Egyptian Museum, Numerous temples including the Valley of the Kings, a 4 day River Nile Cruise was spectacular! This was a fantastic tour. Our guide Ahmed El Sayed in cairo and Sadoon in Luxor were good at sharing their knowledge of the history of Egypt with us. We also able to add a day trip to Alexandria on the last day as our flight was leaving late on that day.

Beginning of a wonderful vacation

We only have been here for two days and so far we are thrilled with our choice to visit with Let’s Explore Egypt! Our guide Jimmy and our driver Androw are just the best! Jimmy is very knowledgeable, has a great personality and is very patient (I do ask so many questions) And Androw, wow, he has a lot of patience in traffic. And what a gentleman, opening the door every time. In the two first days, we have visited the pyramids (Giza and Saqqarah), mounted camels and had a nice ride, learned how papyrus was made, visited the Museum of Cairo, the suspended Church, a synagogue and the Mosque of Muhammad Ali Pasha. Great tour

Well organised, unproblematic, great tour. Travelling solo, in my 70's, ) guides 1. Medhat (Alexandria Day Tour plus Cairo) very friendly and helpful, 2. Saddoon (Aswan / Abu Sibel) a fountain of history knowledge and helpful. And Ali (tour coordinating) many thanks for looking after me so well, and our chats. Tour keeps you busy, food great, train and cruise all comfortable with friendly staff. Egypt is amazing, I love it's history as well as Cairo's current day organised chaos... Fascinating!! Let's Explore Egypt top notch!

We chose this tour because it was the most bang for our buck, covering all the main attractions we wanted to see with as little expense as possible. We were warned about the quality of "4 and 5 star" accomodations in Egypt that they wouldn't be up to the standards of what an American's opinion of 5 stars are, but I never felt like we weren't getting some of the best accomodations out there (and I don't even mean for what we paid). There were a few places including the Nile river cruise boat where the beds were 2 twin beds that were pushed together that weren't ideal for a couple traveling together, but that was probably the worst of it. Let's Explore Egypt was a phenomenal company to tour with and their personal tour guides for our visits made it an even better experience. Ahmed The Great was so awesome and fun and all their guides were very knowledgeable! Outside of some of the delicious local restaurants these guides took us to, some of my favorite meals were experienced on the cruise. Don't be fooled though, the boat is not as amazing as it appears on their websites. We stayed on the "Sarah" where the "gym" consisted of 3 pieces of equipment with no power just hanging out on the top deck of the boat. My observations tell me these boats are all VERY similar, but where the boat lacked in gym equipment, it made up for in friendly staff, where they rolled our towels into a new animal shape wearing our hats every day. Let's Explore Egypt extended our tour to give us an extra day in Alexandria (for a fee after we inquired about this city), but the following day after all our tours were over and done with, they went out of their way to drive us to the airport. Every day they provided bottled water which was always much appreciated and needed, but there wasn't always WiFi as they claimed during the tour. Still, overall, an amazing trip for the price, definitely recommended!

9 days egypt tour

.Guides and car drivers were excellent. Ahmed Kamel in Cairo and AMR in Luxor and Aswan were the highlights of the tour and main reason for 4 stars. Luxor part of trip and coordinators were very attentive to our concerns and accommoded our needs. Booked this private tour via Viator on trip advisor from Let's Explore Egypt. Their website and Cairo office asks to Communicate before the trip through What's App. We had to go through Viator to get any response and at many times even they had difficulty. Detailed hotel and daily program and schedule was given to us at the airport on Arrival. No response to Emails.Even though we had emailed our flight itinerary at the time of booking , the hotel was not arranged for arrival Time in early AM. Once in Egypt arrival and transfers were handled well and we were asisted during visa process and getting to designated train cars later on the railway station. They adjusted the daily itinerary because we had an extra day. These were only finalized on our way to Egypt during layover at the airport due to prior difficulties iin communication by e-mails. Cairo Pyramids hotel in Giza, bunglows had smell in the room due to moisture/smoke. Newer rooms were not in the package but Ask for new rooms if you are staying there. Hotel in Luxor, Entebe was very good and definitely recommend it. Train ride to Aswan and from Luxor to Cairo is good if you can sleep easily but food was terrible except coffee. Train toilets,wifi, some lights,A/c do not function and trains run late.Vegetarians please carry your meals before starting the train ride... We enjoyed the tour despite the challenges in communications before the start of the trip.But once in Cairo we did not have any difficulties.
