All Inclusive 2-Day Ancient Egypt and Old Cairo Highlights Tour

Brilliant two day tour service!

Mimo our tour guide and Ibrahim our driver for the two days was exceptional. Nothing was too much hassle for them. Mimo made our experience great, he made sure that we had everything we needed going at our own pace especially with a 21 month old baby. They adjusted pick up time by half hr as 8am was too early for us. He is very knowledgeable and has tons of information to share. Our trip to the Saqqara was part way abandoned due to the extreme heat by ourselves and Mimo refunded our tickets for it- brilliant service. The camel ride was shorter than the allcated time but Mimo made sure this was completed and sent us back on again- he gave us the choice of riding the horse and carriage. He really went the extra mile to make sure we had time to experience, rest and explore thoroughly. Ask for Mimo if you do book and you will see how accomadating he is. He even stopped to get us watermelon at our request! Food was good in a nice resturant the first day, then shawarma on the second. Everything is explained clearly and fully- adjustments are made according to the client- it is your tour so go with what works for you. All addidional stops that isnt part of the tour was a treat too. He did not push us to buy infact he made sure the locals especially in Khan-el-Khalil bazzar werent ripping us off with extortinate prices- he made sure we didnt fall for it and kept us all safe throughtout our two day. We already miss his company. Ibrahim is a true gentleman, opening the door helping with our stroller making sure the car was always clean. Aircon great what luxury! There was no pressure and we were relaxed. Thank you to both men for making our trip pleasant.

We had great experience with one of the best tour guide Mr Micheal and Mohammed ,,we had booked private tour were we had big and spacious mini van ,,they made so comfortable adviced us about the locals to take care ourselves and took us to an great sight with multiple clicked beautiful pictures .each time we were about to go out from vehicle they used to come and open door for us which made us feel so special ,,I wish I had more days to stay ,,unfortunately we have to wind up .They offered us cold chilled water ,,made us so relaxing after each spot…overall experience was ossom and great outstanding .

A short and sweet trip to understand Cairo

Great Safe Experience and Great Price

We had two great days with Nour! On the first day he took us to the Giza Plateau, Saqqara, and Memphis. In addition to seeing the awe-inspiring historical sites, he also took us to a perfume-smelling experience and a papyrus-making experience, both free-of-charge with no obligation to purchase anything. We chose to do a late lunch and our day ended with a delicious meal at a rooftop restaurant with beautiful views of the city. On the second day, Nour took us to the Egyptian Museum. He let us know that many of the exhibits had already been moved over to the new museum (which was not yet open when we were there), but showed us the highlights left in the old museum. Well worth it - we saw some amazing historical artifacts and Nour provided great information! We also went to the Khan el-Khalili market where we were able to pick up some little souvenirs, which was great fun. Our tour also included a visit to the Citadel and the Hanging Church, both great places for those interested in religious history. Our second day concluded with tasty Egyptian cuisine at a local restaurant. Nour speaks excellent English and answered all of our questions about Egyptian history and customs as they came up. This tour also came with a driver and we found it very affordable given how much was packed into our two days in Cairo.

Fantastic tour. Everyone on the group loved the itinerary and especially Ahmed, he's just the best, believe me. Informative, funny, never boring. Interesting, knowledgeable and in depth tour!

2 days in Cairo

Thanks to Youssef and Emam for taking for around Cairo for two days. I appreciate with the heat it was difficult to do this during Ramadan, but both were professional. Youssef has good knowledge about Ancient Egypt and was always happy to answer questions, the lunches on tour were also of a good standard. I also appreciate the tour owner calling to follow up, I can see he takes interest in his guests.

One of the best tours I’ve done anywhere

This tour was incredible. Firstly the tour guide Michael was amazing - super punctual, knowledgable, well organised and he looked after us so well throughout. He made sure we saw so many things in just two days and even helped us modify the tour based on the needs of the kids on day 2. It was a great mix of adventure and learning. The communication was seamless throughout - I HIGHLY recommend (of note we were 12 people from UK- including 2 elderly and 4 kids).

Great experience

You should definitely book a two day tour with Tree of Life Day Tours. It is the perfect tour if you are in Cairo for a few days. Our guide Fatima was awesome, she was very knowledgeable about all things Egypt. She went above and beyond by telling us different places to check out when we were done with our day tours. Excellent Overview of History and Culture

This two-day tour is an excellent overview of most major sites in Cairo. Booking and logistics were professional and timely. Transportation and driver were great. Guide (Gouda) was extremely knowledgeable about subjects presented. Any question was easily answered with graduate level understanding. Tour was organized in a logical and easy to understand manner. Wonderful 2 day tour of Cairo!

Strongly recommend the Tree of Life Day tour with Mohamed aka Gouda. His passion for Egypt is very evident and he is truly a scholar. Not only is Gouda extremely knowledgeable and professional he is very cheery. We had the added treat of a wonderful driver (Yassir) and AC vehicle for our group of 4 women. We felt very well informed, taken care of, and appreciated Goudas honesty and integrity. He is truly a wonderful guide who understands the importance of a well planned out itinerary and good pace. If you are lucky enough to get Mohamed Gouda as a guide, you are in for a treat. PS he took us to a falafel spot on day 1 for Lunch, and they were the best falafels I’ve ever had! An excellent way to see Cairo in a short amount of time - ask for Amina!

I had Amina as my guide for the two days in Cairo, Saqqara and Memphis. The two is an excellent way to get a good oversight of the area - and was the perfect intro to Egypt for me. It took in all the things someone with limited time in Cairo would be interested in, and there was no stress whatsoever of finding transport, parking, clean WCs or avoiding touts. Amina is a fountain of knowledge and an absolute joy to be with. With her careful planning the information and activities were tailored to my interests and speed, and she ensured that the itinerary each day suited my travel plans - avoiding traffic and meeting my ones do travel. She also went above and beyond to buy me fresh fruit and snacks, and to call my train company to ensure everything was in order before writing me transport instructions for after the tour. I would recommend her to anyone visiting Cairo.

Amazing 2-day Main Attractions Tour of Cairo

I went on this tour with 5 of my girlfirends for a weekend trip to Egypt and absoulty loved it! The tour guy was fantastic, super knowledgable and wasn't boring at all. Our guide Mo aka Gouda was fantastic. He was clearly so passionate about Egyptology and seemed to have detailed answers for any questions we asked (which were many). Great 2 Day tour to see all the top sites with our fantastic guide Amal!

We were in Cairo for a little over 3 days and wanted to see all the main sites. This two day tour was fantastic and our guide Amal was a wealth of knowledge on the history of Egypt. There were just two of us and Amal along with a nice private driver and new clean car. She took us all around Cairo and other locations to see the Pyramids, Coptic and Muslim sites as well as a detailed tour of the key treasures in the museums. Amal was very friendly and super informative. She was also flexible in terms of different things we wanted to do. So if you are looking for a tour of all the highlights in Cairo we highly recommend this one.

A great way to see Cairo in two days

Me and my husband had 3 full days in Cairo so this tour was great to see the highlights without thinking about transportation and entrance.They have taken us everywhere written in the list. Our guide was Amal. She was very friendly, had a good knowledge about history and the places we visited. The car was comfortable and the driver was experienced which you definitely need in Cairo. They also take you to some touristic shops which we didnt know so if you dont want to buy anything, you should tell your guide to save time. Also you get around 2-3 hours in the cairo museum and if you want to experience it more tell the guide beforehand as well. Overall, I can warmly recommend this tour if you have few days but also would like to see the highlights in Cairo.

Amazing tour to see the highlights on Cairo

We had a great time on our two day Cairo tour. Day 1 was the pyramids/desert activities and day 2 was inside Cairo (mosques, museums, and bazaar). Our tour guide was Amina - she was knowledgeable and very kind. Our group was four adults - definitely recommend!

We had a two-day tour with Manar. I could not depict how wonderful she was, the tour, or the driver. Manar is passionate, educated, and brilliant. Her knowledge on ancient Egypt is incredible and she made all of our requests possible. She took us to the tourist sites as well as local experiences. She answered all of our questions and was patient. She made these days unforgettable and we will refer her and this tour to everyone we know coming to Egypt. The only thing is that I wish the camel ride was longer.

Our two day tour with six people was incredible. Our tour guide Mohammed Gouda was the best guide I could ever imagine. He is honest always helpful and a great person .Please request him every time, you will not be disappointed. The tour itself is great also but it is exceptional with the correct guide. I booked from home two weeks prior to my arrival in Cairo and everything worked well.

Very pleased

I’m very pleased with our tour. Rasha was always very nice and with good actitud. We decided not go to a some stores and we added a boat tour. They were very flexible and there was no problem doing those changes. We are very picky with the food and both lunch we really enjoy it. They were always on time. The shuttle was very clean and we were able to leave a backpack and jackets there.

Dream come true

It is a rare thing for your expectations to match reality. Especially when this involves visiting an ancient and highly touristic destination such as Egypt. This tour was one of these exceptions. We were very lucky to have Fatma as our guide. Besides she was on time and really helpful on everything we might wanted, her knowledge was unsurpassed. Coming from Greece, my love and knowledge for the history of Egypt was above average, so my questions were quite demanding. No problem for Fatma. She was a walking library, with all the information and answers we needed. And her photography skills were also amazing. Excellent professional photos that i will carry for life. Cairo at Its Best

We were treated as special guests from first contact. Ibrahim was polite, respectful, fun and so very knowledgeable about Egypt and it's history. He listened to what was important to us, found us great examples of local food and made us feel welcome in his country. And he is an excellent photographer! Highly recommend this personal tour.

Incredible Egypt Tour

The historical treasures came alive because of our tour guide. She was everything you expect and more - combining a deep knowledge of each of the sites we visited, pleasant and good natured, great communication skills(with us, the driver, and the various guards and personnel at each site), sensitivity to our pace (I am fast and my friend walked slower), understanding of the crowds and the right time to see each location, and care that we were never thirsty or hungry. Having hired guides on trips to other countries, this experience was at the top and we highly recommend you request Fatima.

Solo Egypt

I was scared to go on my first solo trip but I had such a wonderful, stress-free time with Ibrahim. He was so knowledgeable in many things and very patient with my questions. He also took amazing pictures and texted me even when our tour was over for the day to make sure I felt comfortable and everything was okay. He definitely made me feel welcome and I felt like I was traveling with a smart friend, not a tour guide. Highly recommended!!

Best choice if you’re short on time in Cairo

I had the absolute best time in Cairo! Fatima was my tour guide in Cairo for 2 days, and hands down the most dedicated and wonderful photographer. She climbed high and crouched low to get that perfect angle for me, knew where to get all the best shots and directed my poses as well. I was nervous traveling as a single female, but she fended off any vendors or people who wanted to get too close. She gave good advice before getting off the car at every stop so I had no problems with aggressive vendors. Follow Fatima and you’ll be ok! It was a private tour and I really feel that I was able to see all of Cairo in my 2 days without feeling rushed. I was able to take pictures to my hearts content at each stop and wander around with enough time to spare. We were able to fit in both entering a pyramid as well as seeing the royal mummy room in the museum, because I wanted to do it all! The car was comfortable and clean, and was waiting for us at a convenient location after we were done at each site. I really had the most perfect time and would highly recommend this tour!

Adventure of a lifetime ! :)

During this trip one of my lifelong dreams was fulfilled since 7th grade world history I’ve wanted to visit the land of the Pharaohs. I could not have had a better tour guide or a better driver. I’ll start about my guide his name is Ibrahim he is a kind hearted man, he is flexible and gracious. I had so much fun spending time with Ibrahim. He showed me the magical places of the famous pyramids and ancient Giza. We saw many statues of Ramses and the old Egyptian people. We saw amazing tombs and sarcophagi. I got to go inside some of these places. Included was a camel ride (totally magical) we also saw a beautiful Mosque (it’s puts the Blue Mosque to shame) and an amazing church where Mary and Jesus took refuge for three months. We saw a Synagogue that’s in amazing shape even considering the Jewish population in Cairo these days is very small. We went to the Bazaar and had coffee at the oldest shop shared Shisha and of course my very favorite Egyptian Hibiscus tea. Absolutely refreshing. I got to buy a Keffiyeh and a Thawb so I truly felt Egyptian. Many people were commenting on it in very positive ways in the Bazaar. Don’t forget to buy some Hibiscus to take home at the Bazaar it’s just delicious!! We also visited the Egyptian museum it’s absolutely massive and stunning. Saqara was an amazing place. We also visited a handmade rug factory with prices from $40-$5000 something for everyone. We visited an authorized papyrus paper art shop and I purchased a beautiful painting for a reasonable price. After this we visited an oil shop where I found and purchased 8 amazing oils all with different purposes and all natural. There are different sizes and options and there are glass applicators and aroma therapy devices that are hand blown by the artist in the same shop. Lunch both days was amazing but the best meal I had in Egypt was GAD pizza make sure you don’t miss it!!! My favorite things about Ibrahim was his kindness and his knowledge Ibrahim is a historian and a family man. His knowledge of Egypt is limitless he will have an answer to all of your questions. Thank you so much for the experience!!! Shukran Jazilan Sadik! About the driver. His name is Muhammadi he’s an excellent driver and a very kind man. He’s been working In this industry for thirty five years and he takes great pride in his work. He drove a beautiful car and had nice touches to decorate and make it even more comfortable. When we would approach him he would be cleaning and polishing with a cloth. Muhammadi sold me the pillows from his car at the price he bought them for because I liked them so much. He is a good man an excellent driver. Caring passionate and hardworking. Thank you Muhammadi!!! The price of this tour is worth it and I would actually say it is a great value. Egypt needs tourism to continue to rise after the revolution and don’t worry its completely safe and people are all very kind. Please tip your guide and driver if you go they deserve it !! Around Cairo in 48 hrs

Cairo is one of the most vibrant, exciting cities on the planet. With 5000 yrs of history it's almost impossible to experience it in 48 hrs....almost. our tour guide Mohamed Gouda managed to educate us in 5000 yrs of dramatic and varied history with his encyclopedic knowledge of Cario and Egyptian history. Along with Mesh mesh our driver (who managed to fly through the Cairo traffic), we experienced Saqquara, Memphis,and the Giza plateau with a delicious local lunch in between. Day 2 consisted of mosques,synagogue and churches with another delicious authentic Egyptian lunch in the market place, culminating in a trip around the Egyptian museum. Gouda was informative, humorous with a genuine love of his job and care for his customers. He helped us bargain at the markets (always a challenge) and took us to places to purchase souvenirs which were trustworthy.nothing was too much trouble, he was able to answer all our questions and encouraged us to tell him what we wanted. An excellent way to explore Cairo with minimal time available.

I was accompanied by tourguide Manar Nabil (Nefertiti) and driver Ibrahim. With their guidance, I was able to see all of the sites of Cairo that I wanted to explore and a number that I wasn't aware of before my visit. Manar was very knowledgeable and revealed a lot of interesting hisorical information about each location we went to. I was very pleased with the tour.
