The sites in Alexandria was ok, not great. The tour guide did not really provide sufficient or exciting narratives about what we looked at. Somewhat disappointed with the following: Tour guide was busy in feeding cats and dogs along the way (not spending time explaining) The weather was hot in June but tour guide decided to explain everything to us at the top of the Roman theater under the shades (instead of walking around the theater with us and explaining in real time) At the end of the tour, the guide was rushing to leave. So instead of taking us to a restaurant for a sit down lunch, he bought us food and asked us to eat in the car. He said many times that he wanted to provide a good tour, but his actions spoke the opposite.

Alexandria, historic gem of Egypt

Today my excursion from Cairo to Alexandria was a beautiful and warm experience. My driver, Immam was excellent. My guide in Alexandria was well spoken, professional, accommodating and a good soul. (He carries treats for stray dogs and cats, as a thoughtful kindness). He’s proud of his city and you can feel it. His English is excellent. Matmoud is fantastic. Thank you so much! Alexandria exceeded my expectations because of you Matmoud!

Great tour of Alexandria

Our day started rough with me being in a lot of pain. We went from Cairo to Alexandria with our excellent driver. Upon arriving to Alexandria we met Momo our tour guide. With the help of my friend, driver and Momo our trip to Alexandria was amazing 🤩 Momo is very knowledgeable and very patient with me and my discomfort, but overall he made this trip fun and pleasant. He is a very kind tour guide all the locals love him and the city pets also look forward to see Momo. This tour is very well worth it, and our lunch was delishhhhhhhhh 😋. I high recommend this tour and ask for Momo 🤗

Trip to the City that Alexander the Great built, Julius Caesar conquered, and I ate lunch.

We had a great trip! Our driver sliced through the Egypt traffic like a hot knife through humus. Our tour guide was Momo, and he did a great job of telling the history and getting us to all the important photo ops. The catacombs, the Roman Amphitheater, the Library. We had a great lunch, put our feet in the Mediterranean Sea, and then headed back to Cairo. It was a great day!

Momo did a great job He really went out of his way to make sure we had a good tour Unfortunately the Alexandria Library was only open for 2 hours, but it was still impressive I would highly recommend him for any tour of Alexandria - he really knows his history and has a passion for Egypt

Amazing tour with Mahmoud

I had an excellent day with my sister on our tour of Alexandria. Mahmoud was our guide and was very informative and fun. If you want to see Alexandria but don't know where to start I highly recommend booking this tour!

Cosmopolitan Alexandria

Alexandria is a beautiful cosmopolitan city with a mix of pharonic, Greek and Roman culture. The citadel and library are a must filled with a wealth of historical information. Must see in Egypt!!

So beautiful to see

We had a great day with the lovely Marwa. She was super sweet and very knowledgeable. For lunch she took us to this beautiful restaurant by the sea called Branzono. The food was amazing and the views were even better. Definitely recommend coming. Alexandria is beautiful, way less people than Cairo. And you get to see the Roman/greek influence on Egyptian culture.

Our time with Momo Salah

We went to Alexandria today . Our guide Momo Salah guided us to the Catacombs and library of Alexander the great just to name a few . He made us feel like family . We felt so comfortable being with him . Was almost ashame parting ways , but if you ever find yourself in Alexandria and you want a memorable experience. I suggest you ask for Momo as your guide 😉 you will feel like family

Great day out in Alexandria

Momo was a great local guide who allowed us to adapt the trip to visit the spots in Alexandria we wanted to see the most. We ate Egyptian food in a local spot we would never have found ourselves and thoroughly enjoyed the day. Mahmoud was also a great driver and we felt very safe the entire day

A Memorable Experience In Alexandria!

We had an extra day in Cairo and decided to pay the beautiful and historic city of Alexandria a visit. Communication was excellent and pick up was prompt! It was a 3 hour drive but the vehicle was comfortable and very clean with lovely air conditioning and a lovely driver. We even had a nap and arrived all rested and ready to conquer the day. Mahmoud (“Momo”) was our guide and we had a fantastic time as he was very knowledgeable, professional and a lot of fun. Thank you Momo, for making this day special and memorable!!! An wonderful day trip to alexandria

I was lucky today to get pickup early this morning by the driver named mohamed. He was veary well organized and on time. After a drive arround 2 hours we meet our fantastic and lovely tourguide momo. He was really passionate and know a lot about the Egyptian historie and culture. We had a lot of fun together. I would highly recommend this tour again if you like to visist alexandria in a day.

Momo was a chatty & informative guide who was knowledgeable about his city & the sites that we visited. We covered a lot of ground on the day & the level of information was pitched just right for ourselves & what we wanted to do.

Beautiful Alexandria

The citadel on the beach was amazing. The catacombs were interesting too. The guide person was very respectful and nice with us.Lunch was delicious.

Momo/Hussain Dynamic Duo

Hussain was such a smooth and safe driver from Cairo to Alexandria and back. He is fairly quiet but attentive to our needs (e.g. water, breaks, opening car doors etc.). His car was very comfortable and clean. Momo was a complete joy for the day. Being a local to Alexandria, he was very clear with his information about the main sites to see in Alexandria. The restaurant he recommended for lunch was fab. Definitely a thumbs up 👍 for this dynamic duo😎

Alexandria in a gist

I truly recommend the personised experience of Alexandria with Mr Mahmoud Salah. Unlike many guides in Egypt, he followed the itinerary and told the story of Alexandria in a beautiful, impartial way. You have the chance spending time with him, finding about the city from the guy, who breathes it and knows the spots, be it local ice cream or famous artists. You won't be disappointed with the highlights, being Alexandria Library, Royal Jewellery Museum, Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa to name a few and not not get bored you to death. I also need to mention his fantastic driver, whose many years experience of work truly serve as his safety driving test in Egypt. If you can afford it, go for it.

Incredible day in a Legendary City

I had a wonderful time seeing Alexandria. Mohammed did an excellent job of sharing the rich history of that ancient city with me. I learned so much about how Greek and Egyptian culture merged in my time there. Getting to speak in a Greek Amphitheater, seeing the Sacred Bull Apis, and how Egypt rebuilt the Great Library of Alexandria into a modern marvel was amazing! Do not underestimate the distance between Cairo and Alexandria though. It was 2 and a half hours by car.

Superb Experience! Friendly and helpful driver picked us up right at our hotel and took us to Alexandria to meet our guide, Momo. Vehicle was clean, safe, and had AC. Momo was very friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and extremely accommodating. It was honestly like visiting and old friend, who is there to enhance your experience. He routinely went out of his way to provide an incredibly memorable experience. Alexandria Catacombs, Roman Amphitheater, Library, museum tour, visit of the seaside, and a superior local lunch. He knows people everywhere and took care of all admissions, we felt very safe throughout the tour. Would absolutely give him and his team a higher recommendation if it were possible. A truly wonderful Egyptian experience

A very interesting tour full of a blend of ancient, medieval and modern history. A superb one-on-one tour with an educated and interesting guide passionate about their heritage and sharing their countries rich culture. Very safe for a solo female traveller.

A great way to see lots of Alexandria if your time is limited

For those who are staying in Cairo and want to see Alexandria before leaving Egypt, this is an excellent tour to consider. My friend and I were picked up from our hotel in Cairo, and we had a great drive to Alexandria, complete with bottled water, juices, and surprisingly delicious tomato-flavored potato chips. In Alexandria, we picked up our guide Momo, who was terrific. He asked what our interests were and gave us some options for things to see. Our time was a bit limited as I needed to get back to Cairo for a flight (they were kind enough to carry my luggage and drop us off at the airport at the end of the tour). We saw the catacombs, a drive-by of Pompey’s pillar, the ancient Roman amphitheater and ruins, a surprise visit to a beautiful mosque, the Qaitbay citadel, and the library. We made stops for complimentary sugar cane juice and Turkish coffee. Lunch was absolutely delicious and done at a seafood restaurant overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Momo was engaging, energetic, knowledgeable, and clearly wanted to make sure we had a good time. He is also really responsive via email. I was considering a number of companies offering a similar tour but I’m quite happy I chose this one!

Alexandria trip - A touch and go sessions

We start trip early morning , took 3 hours to get to Alexandria from Cairo. We were pick up by our driver and meet with our local tour guide there in Alexandria. We have a lively driver who even with limited English - try to describe interesting view to see along the road. Our tour guide was a local lady with a very fluent English …. Keeping us in line to make sure we were on time each places as we had to catch a flight after the tour completed. I have to say - there are so many things to see in Alexandria , I felt a 4-6 hours tour just barely cover the Must to See places there .( regretfully) - my favourite place was the catacombs kom el shuqafa. There are still many interesting places we won’t able to see due to lack of time due to flight situation …. Recommendation - if have more time to spend …. Take 2-3 days to really enjoy Alexandria wonders.

You'll learn and see more of the city than you'll ever expect.

The driver, Iman, was very hospitable and willing to stop along the way to Alexandria for food and coffee. He gave knowledge of the areas along the way, which was very informative. The tour guide, Jean, blew my mind of how much he knew about Alexandria. Just about EVERY building we passed, he knew who built it, what year, and why. I felt as though we covered every square inch of the city. If I could give more stars, I definitely would.

Highly Recommend Tour Guide Company

Brilliant Tour Guide and Driver - Had a fantastic day! Well informed guide, extremely knowledgeable. Had great food with the Locals, highly recommend the falafel & Liver sandwich. Tour guide Mou Mou extremely flexible and happy to adjust your tour according to your preference. Absolutely loved the citadel of Qaitbay. We were sceptical about booking tours especially where some look to find “selling” opportunities - but this was different and it was all client focus to make sure you feel comfortable and get to see exactly what you want to see! Driver, Mo Saleh (Not the Football player) was awesome and took his time to explain the areas we were passing and the journey passed having a good laugh. I will highly recommend this Tour guide company!

Amazing

Our trip to Alexandria was amazing our guide Mahmoud was extremely knowledgeable and helpful made the whole experience amazing. We took loads of photos and gain so much knowledge about this amazing country Unbelievable. Thank you to khaled our driver for returning us safe and sound

Good until the end!

It was an all around great experience and great trip, our guide Mo was knowledgeable and we saw great things, …it was great until our driver brought us back to Cairo to a “national papyrus institute” and trinket shop that totally ripped off myself and my travel partner as we thought we were buying authentic souvenirs, rather than cheap foreign crap. As we were relatively new to the “markets” culture, now several days later in Egypt we know much better. Buy your stuff in the museum shops!

Great tour

Alexandria was an interesting city. I think it’s pretty far for a day trip, which is not the fault of the tour company. But I would not choose to do this again from Cairo. Our guide was great, he had so many interesting things to say. I think his name was Momo. The ruins and cistern were really cool. We got to go inside the mosque during prayer time. Men and women have to use separate entrances and you will be asked to tip the shoe guy. Anyway, great tour but it was a lot of car time.

Very efficient tour

The service provided was very good. The manager got in contact, shared his whatsapp number and qas very supportive. A car with a good driver was sent and I met the guide at Alexandria. He had a lot of knowledge about the city and made me very comfortable in asking questions or wanting to see anything different than planned. As it is a private tour and I am a woman travelling alone in Egypt, I was worried for my safety but it all went very well. I recommend

A great day in Alexandria

The Alexandria tour was a last minute decision to book. We were picked up at 7am, the driver was friendly and we stopped off at a service station half way. When we arrived, we picked up the guide and went straight to the catacombs which were incredible. The amphitheatre was also great! We stopped at the mosque and museum and took photos of Alexander the Great and Pompeys column. Our final stop was the library which was nice to see. Then we had lunch, our guide (Mo) couldn't have been more flexible on what we wanted to eat and gave us a choice of food and venue, he sat and chatted with us while we ate. The drive back was smooth and we arrived back at our hotel at about 6pm. Would recommend seeing what Alexandria has to offer!

Alexandria - nice - trip

Very nice trip and the weather surprised us!! It was raining & cold (which we liked very much). Alexandria is definitely lovely city, our Tour guide & driver were lovely people. We are glad we visited this place. Food (especially my favorite bread) is yummy.

Waste of your precious time in Egypt!

Egypt is AMAZING! but Alexandria is not worth it if you have limited time! This tour of Alexandria for us provided a basic taste of Roman influence in Egypt, nothing in comparison to Italy, the Egyptian experience was not to be had here. We would strongly recommend spending your time and money in Cairo/Saqqara/Aswan/Luxor if you want to see Egyptian history & relics. The dangerous high speed! 3 hr each way drive, filthy toilets and basic food provided, along with a poorly informed guide by an operations manager with limited understanding of the sites was a wasteful experience. Upper Egypt is the treasure trove!

Enjoyed our day tour. The driver and guide were great. The price seemed a bit high but I suspect that is because of the long drive from Cairo. Good inclusions.

Good day trip, a change from Cairo and cheaper than my hotel were offering for the same!!

I wasn’t sure whether to do this as it was a long way from Cairo, but really enjoyed it. Communication Good. I was messaged the day before to check everything. Drive A driver took us to Alexandria and we met the guide there. It is 3 hours there and back. Stop at very nice services. Driver had enough English and made sure we were ok. Pick up 0730 and returned at 1830. The road once out of Cairo is great and we just read in the car. Guide We had a female guide. Very knowledgeable. Checked in with us what we wanted to do. We had 5 hours in total. Place It’s as busy and noisy as Cairo, so not a a change from that perspective- just be warned. Sites we went into Catacombs- good. Interesting to be in an era that was not pyramid- time. Roman amphitheatre- very interesting. Not like others I’ve been to, more of a place of learning and education. Again, a different time n history. Jewellery Museum- and palace- beautiful place and jewels. We learned about the modern Egyptian king from 1800- 1952. Library- I really didn’t know what I was coming to, it’s the modern building. But nice to see modern Egypt, architecture interesting and some art displays. Could have spent longer. Sites we drove past The site of the lighthouse and the pillar Lunch Excellent fish meal in one of those places that does tourist groups. On the waterfront. Very tasty.

Outstanding

Wow such a great experience with this company! Momo the operations manager was my tour guide for this trip & he had extensive knowledge on all the stops on the tour. I had truly an amazing experience with not only him but my driver Mohamed as well. Such an unforgettable time I had with these two guys. They went past our tour timing with no problem & my driver also dropped me off & picked me up from the airport. These guys were very nice & offered to help with my stay anyway they could!

I had planned a 7 day itinerary with this agency , and everything worked out perfectly. The transfer services were excellent , Mustafa our driver was always on time ,safe driving and my kids loved his company. Mohammed did our tours in Cairo , he was both very informative and entertaining, it was so much fun. Mahmoud guided us around Alexandria, which was the most beautiful experience and the lunch was just superb. Another Mahmoud Farah accompanied us on the Nile Cruise , he was a fountain of knowledge and so accommodating of the kids moods etc. We are truly grateful to the entire team for making our trip so memorable and enjoyable.

A day in Alexandria

Momo did a great job in giving us the history of Alexandria. He treats you like family. Per our request he deviated from the tour where we finished the afternoon at a relaxing Seafood restaurant near the citadel. Great food, views, and an excellent host.

A great excursion

The guide, Sally, was very informative and knowledgeable. Seeing alexandria was something different from the rest of our stay and worth the time. We got to experience local foods and delivered everything listed and more.

One of the best days of my entire life

This trip was absolutely AMAZING. I went solo and it ended up being one of the best days of my entire life. NO JOKE. My guide and my driver were so cool and extremely nice. We felt like long lost brothers. This trip isn’t just about views and pictures, it is about STORIES and LESSONS that you will never forget. We had a lot of laughs just driving around and each stop kept getting better. You get to see everything in the description and they even offer a few EXTRA additional stops on the way back. The grand bazaar jewelry shop and the papyrus institution were so incredible and i went home with some life changing souvenirs. They also will make sure your thirst and hunger are quenched and satisfied. We chose falafel, traditional bread, beef and chicken shwarma and rice with crispy chicken. 100000000 out of 10. YOU MUST DO THIS TRIP if you come to Giza or Cairo.

Fun with Gouda

From the moment we met our guide Gouda to the moment we parted ways was a nonstop education of Alexandria and all things Egypt. We initially signed up for just an Alexandria tour but Gouda offered to keep it going as we drove back to Cairo with a stop at Giza to do some shopping for papyrus art, silver jewelry and oils after we had mentioned our appreciation of oils and jewelry. On our way back we got pumped up when we saw the pyramids and he asked if we would like to see the pyramid light show after dark which we all agreed to. While at the show Gouda went back to the jewelry store we visited and picked up our order. Gouda is a great guide with great energy and a lot of knowledge that he will enthusiastically share. Also took us to his shawarma spot in his neighborhood that was really good.
