8 hours Cairo day Tour to Giza Pyramids, Memphis City, Sakkara and Dahshur

Truly awe inspiring sights, disappointing tour guide.

We had Ahmed as our guide, he knew plenty and you could tell that he has studied a lot for this job, but he was constantly rushing us. The most egregious example of this, was the first stop after the pyramids of Giza. He constantly rushed us telling us that we had plenty of sights to visit, we believed him as the schedule in the viator page does look pretty busy. to our horror he brought us to what he called "a temple" that ended up being a perfume and tea shop. It was such a depressing thing to receive a class on perfumery right after experiencing the awe of the greatest structures of the ancient world. Would've really appreciated it if he would've just been honest and told us that we would be going to shops afterwards, but the tour company must have a commission and they clearly know that tourists wouldn't want to go there in the first place. Ahmed needs to be able to align his tour to the interests of the customers, My wife is a painter and she wanted more information and time when we were in the Saqqara painted reliefs but he kept on waving and snapping at us to come to the next room just to be done and go to the next stop. when we were in the car he put the same song 4 times, and he ignored our request to stop repeating it. I know it seems like we are nitpicking here but some people spend there life savings and wait their entire lives to get to see these world wonders... tour guides need to have that in mind and take their job seriously. We recommend that you tell them to eat in the middle of the tour as we chose to do it at the end and we were starving by then. Finally we wanted to complement our driver, he was incredible in the traversing the perilous roads of Cairo and always opened the door with a smile also the tour company EMO tours are wonderful as they were very responsible and on time to pick us up.

Hi there, yes todays experience was good, my guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the pyramids, and really got to show me around Giza and Dashur. The driver was excellent and the ac car was amazing. The food that was chosen for my lunch was also very good.

Great tour

It was truly a wonderful experience with Amira! She went over everything with us in deep details and really made us feel welcome on the tour. The driver Abdullah was super qualified even though the traffic is pretty crazy here, he made us feel safe in the car so 10/10 experience.

It was great tour, Our tour guide is Mr. sayeed Mahmoud and driver is youseef, Both were great, The way that he explains things shows that Mr. Sayeed Mahmoud is passionate about his job. His english is very good and easily understandable, i would definitely recommend him as a tour guide.

A day well spent

This was an excellent day tour, Osam was a lovely guide and Yousef was a wonderful driver. Did all the sights mentioned and a bit of shopping. The lunch stop was an amazing choice. Caviar Restaurant.

Pyramids in Egypt

The tour was amazing . I booked private tour so that I had all the attention to myself and more time for great pics . My guide Jessy was very helpful and had a lot of knowledge about all the history . My driver Ahmed bassam was very caring and friendly . I’d definitely tour with them again . Recommended

It was an amazing tour!

The tour was very nice. Both the driver and the guide were professional and very nice. We didn't have to rush anywhere and anything I asked they knew the answer right away. The english tour guide speaks good english and we could communicate without any problems. They were felxible and fast with any request. I can recommend them to anybody who wants a tour of Cairo!

Lovely and Hospitable

Sayed Mahmoud & Sayed (driver) took very good care of us the entire tour and made sure that there was a nice balance of rest and touring. They were considerate and hospitable and guided us through Giza and Saqqara in a calm and well-organized way with plenty of check-ins and historical explanations. Not to mention they played great tunes in the car!

Excellent trip! Guide Sayed Mahmood was great, patient and knowledgeable about Egyptian history and culture. Great value for money - highly recommend if you want to see the highlights of Cairo and Giza in a day.

Great tour

I had a lovely tour with Samira (not sure if spelled right). We hit all the main points and she was very good at telling me about the historical importance of places and answering all my questions. She took photos of me, knowing all the best photo opportunities, and gave me helpful advice for my time here, as well as just being good fun - it felt like spending the day with a (very knowledgable) friend. Nothing felt rushed and I was given the option to go to extra shops or do extra things but did not have to if I wasn't interested. I felt very looked after and feel like I have really ticked a huge achievement off my bucket list with this day.

Mind blowing tour of the pyramids and other monuments. Really experienced guide that answered all our questions in detail and help us navigate the sights. Absolutely amazing.

Left a bad impression. Felt like I was an inconvenient cash machine. Ihab turned up put out and irritable. Felt like he was bitching about me. 3 stars because it’s Ramadan otherwise 1. If you're alone and want in depth info/anecdotes don't bother. They will just rinse you for all you're worth and talk very loudly. Best to just book a driver. And navigate tickets etc solo. The sights were amazing. Driver was cool.

Excellent tour and wonderful guide.

Excellant tour with a lovely guide who had a vast knowlegde of everything we saw and was able to put it across in an interesting and entertaining way (even drawing diagrams in her notebook to make things clearer) had a very pleasant lunch in local restaurant which they obviously use regularly. A great day and really good value for money.

Day visit to Giza Memphis Sauarra

Our guide Mohammed was the most knowledgeable guide I have ever encountered. Emo tours were helpful and efficient and kept us constantly updated prior to the tours and we will be using them for other tours during our stay .

Great experience

Sayed Mahmoud and Hossam gave us an incredible tour. They took us to various different locations and told us the best place for pictures. They even gave us drinks and snacks even though it was Ramada which was very generous.

Great Sights - Poor Guide

This was our first experience in Egypt and perhaps the worst experience. Our guide Fatima was not interested in being our guide or helping us have a good time. All that she wanted from us was a tip. This was the first sentence she told us when we entered the car. That’s when I knew it would be a bad time. 1. She tried to charge us 1000EGP for a horse ride at the Panorama point for the Giza pyramids when we were literally offered the ride for 300EGP by the horse man. She made sure she pressurised the horse rider in Arabic to make sure we would not get the ride at the previously quoted price. 2. We wanted to spend more time at the Great Pyramid but were rushed and only after we put our foot down we were allowed to spend some time there. 3. We were taken to the Memphis and Saqqara temples where we were charged 50 EGP per bottle of water. The standard price is 10 EGP. 4. We wanted to spend some time at the step pyramid which we were not allowed. 5. We were persuaded to not go into the pyramid in Dahshur saying it was bad and not worth it all because our tour guide wanted us to hurry up and let her go home. 6. Kept hounding us to buy a kartoosh with our name on it for around $30 per kartoosh. We felt that the lady was not really interested in showing us around but just wanted to con us out of money at the tourist traps of the Papyrus factory, horse ride, camel ride, etc. All this after spending around £100 on the one day trip which would perhaps have been much cheaper had I booked it locally.

Great tour for just pyramid structures, recommend!

Just what I needed. Tour guide was great at taking pictures. I just wanted to visit all the pyramid sites in the Giza area without the side tracts of linen shops, camel rides, etc. Was able to see all the major attractions in a clean new car. If you already know about the pyramids and just want to see them in person this is your tour, great value in my opinion!

An absolute must

Brilliant day - we were picked up by Abdul our driver and picked up our guide Hamdi near the pyramids. Nothing too much trouble for them and spent as long as we liked at each place. Lunch was good, but absolutely packed - a couple of coach trips there too, buffet style but Abdul and Hamdi managed to get a table for us. If I were to do it again I would recommend not booking the optional lunch and getting your driver/guide to take you somewhere they recommend instead.

It's a wonderful journey.

Our tour guide Sayed is a very enthusiastic person with good photography skills. We use the most efficient way to visit various attractions. We were lucky to have his help on the journey and had a great time. Our driver Ahmed is also a nice person. Overall, I highly recommend taking this trip.

Average experience

The guide‘s English was rather poor. He could speak some texts but his pronounciation was not good, he was generally passive and ge could not answer many questions (because of his poor language skills).

Great at arranging tours but the staff need to be more attentive

The Good: Easy Communication and Management: Organizing and communicating with the team was straightforward and hassle-free. Their system was user-friendly and responsive, making planning smoother. Variety of Services: They offered a wide range of services, which was quite impressive and provided a one-stop solution for various needs. The Bad: Missed Balloon Ride Scheduling: There was a significant hiccup when the staff member forgot to schedule my balloon ride in Luxor. Although they managed to find me a slot eventually, it wasn't the timing I preferred, which was quite disappointing. Rushed Pyramid Tour: The guide assigned for the Giza Pyramid tour seemed to be in a hurry, rushing us through the visit. I didn't get the chance to fully immerse myself and enjoy the pyramids as I had hoped.

Good value for money, can recommend

They picked me up on time and we went through the programme. The guide spoke Russian, as he had studied in Moscow for several years. A special surprise was the carpet factory in Memphis, where you could watch the masterpieces being made. Thank you for the experience.

Nice first tour in Egypt

Seyd and Abdu were very friendly in our tour of today. They showed us awesome views throughout Cairo, Memphis or Saqqara and some shops around that we also enjoyed to visit. I strongly recommend the tour early morning and adequate shoes to go down the pyramids.

Pyramids and more

Essam Aly was our guide for this tour. He was an excellent and very knowledgeable guide From when he picked us up, he was gave us all the necessary background about the places we were about to visit. He was also very accommodating and wanted to make sure we were comfortable and have everything we need. We had a pleasure of having Essam Ally being our tour guide on three different tours around Cairo.

Excellent company and Great people.

I have to say this was one of most surprised travel tour experience I ever had. Initially, I was so worried no one will show up to pick me. after several frustrating calls, finally someone with no sign or uniform showed up and asked me to followup to a private car. the car has no logo what so ever. but the that guy was the tour guide and he and his driver only have me as a solo customer for that day! we visited all the sites plus some surprising tunnels inside some pyramids older that ones in Giza. they took me to a nice place having lunch. that was a little pricey but food was good. over 10 hours tour. I have to great Thanks to my guide and driver. I couldn't believe the price and service I received. gave them big tips.

Late guide, wrong itinerary

The guide was 30 mimutes late to pick us up, but the company let us know he was stuck in traffic only after we contacted them. The car was old and dusty. After we started, we found out that the guide had been given a different itinerary than us. After we showed him the screenshots of our itinerary, he contacted the company, and we ended up doing the tour we had planned (he didn't give us a hard time about this). His English was very difficult to understand, and it seemed like he was just repeating what he had memorized. When we asked questions, he mostly just said OK and went on. He also got mad at the driver at some point and started shouting at him. The lunch was very good. We had another tour booked with the same company, which we canceled immediately after we came back to the hotel. We will not use this company again.

First class tour of Cairo

Brilliant tour and excellent tour guide Sayed Mahmoud, and Habibi our driver who were so impressive and knowledgeable. Sayed paid for all the entrance fees, and made my stay in Cairo really memorable. He is an excellent guide.

The content of the tour isn't bad. However, the guide seems only interested in overcharging the customers. Even though we hired the guide to protect customers from such rip-offs, employing this particular guide is counterproductive. The activities offered in this tour are priced much higher than the rates presented by local touts. Additionally, they forcibly took me to places like a papyrus factory, trying to get me to buy expensive and unnecessary souvenirs. The explanations sounded merely like reading aloud. Moreover, instead of providing insights, they persistently tried to sell additional plans. To add, the guide is overly talkative. I do not recommend this tour. ツアーの内容は悪くないです。 しかし、ガイドは客からボッタくることしか考えていない。ボッタクリから客を守るためにガイドを雇っているのに、このガイドを雇うのは本末転倒です。このツアーで申し込むアクティビティは、現地の客引きの提示する値段よりも遥かに高いです。彼らはパピルス工場などに無理やり私を連れて行き、高額かつ不要なお土産を買わせようとしました。 解説はただの音読のように聞こえました。また、解説ではなく追加のプランをしつこく営業をしてきました。 付け加えると、ガイドは無駄話が非常に多い。このツアーはおすすめしません。

Private tour at your pace

Sayed was a great guide. Don't let the time fool you there is plenty of time for photos and to be in the moment. This was much better than a huge crowd of tourist.

The tour of Islamic and Coptic Cairo was great. The tour guide Sayed Mahmoud was really nice and informative. The driver, Abdul was also very kind and put on good music

Worthy

Great driver and guide (Sohaib), really kind and generous. We felt really safe and relaxed during the tour. We actually visited ALL the pyramids located around Cairo. However, the guide asked us to pay the entrance fees of the museum with credit card, who gave us in cash instantly after. They explained it was due to the fact that cash is not accepted in museums and monuments. They should have informed us before the tour or they could have excluded the entrance fees since the beginning.

Very informative and exciting day at a perfect pace with my guide Hader and our driver

Hader and our driver were the perfect combo for our day visiting the pyramids. Hader was extremely informative and allowed me to go at my own pace at each location. She was extremely personable and made the day even more fun together. They picked an excellent restaurant that I would go to again. Was my second private pyramid tour in 4 years and they keep getting better each time. Our driver was very friendly and made sure I was comfortable with the temp and having enough water the whole time. Amazing experience!
