This trip arranged by Emo tours was seamless from the reservations to the airport pick ups to the tours, hotel stay and transfer, everything was wonderful. The tour operators were constantly in touch to ensure I have all the documents I needed. The tour guides for both the Luxor tour (Ahmed) and Aswan tour (Samir) were knowledgeable and wonderful. Highly recommend

Wouldn't book via Emo Tours again

The tour guides and drivers were fabulous. But the company (Emo Tours Egypt) left a lot to be desired. This was my first time using Viator and this company did not make anything easier to be honest. They booked flights at sily times (without consulting), didn't provide proper itineraries, didn't give guides the full information of where we were staying or when we needed to get to the airport etc. I ended up having to text multiple times during the tour to get info sent to guides etc. This is frustrating for us and the guides I am sure. So guides and drivers are fab,great and knowledgeable people. But Emo Tours really needs to sort out the support they offer tourists. E.g. on the second day, they asked what time we wanted to be picked up but we don't know how long things take etc. They should give a choice of two times based on the visitors' itineraries. They also chose really bad accomodation which was not 4*. They provided a dodgy room to rest in since our evening flight back to Cairo was super late and the room stunk of smoke. We ended up going to another hotel for food as we couldn't stay in that room. So generally, I think you can organise flights and accomodation yourself better and then book freelance drivers and your guides to be honest.

Great way to see a lot in a short time

Packed and intense itinerary but was an incredible experience. Important to have enough energy to keep up. Great way to see many of Egypt’s sights in a short time, but still have ample time to explore each stop. Both of our guides were super knowledgeable, though our first one did not know our itinerary and asked us what we were planning to see that day. But after a short while, got up to speed and led the rest of the trip.

DISAPPOINTED- OPERATOR NEVER BOOKED THE TRIP

SAVE TIME, DO NOT BOOK!! We had this trip planned as part of our week long trip to Egypt… We were NEVER contacted by the tour operator!! I called Viator several time before our arrival & no answers. Use a different vendor if you want a smooth excursion. Turned out that the tour operator never booked our flight or hotel, they “forgot!” Needless to say we were highly disappointed!! Trying to get answers and a refund from Viator was like pulling teeth from a shark. I had to send them proof from the tour operator that they didn’t book the trip. Luckily, while in Egypt we had the best tour guide (from another company) who was able to pull some strings and make the trip happen. We ended up losing a day b/c of Viator’s vendors. Overall I think Viator needs to have a better system in place when it comes to refunding because they tried to say I was canceling but I WAS NOT. I was simply asking for a refund due to the error of their contracted operator. Don’t risk booking this trip here, use a different vendor. LUXOR AND ASWAN IS A MUST WHEN VISITING EGYPT!

Like diving into history

Luxor is by far the best part of this trip. This city is rich in history and visually spectacular- the color of the stones with sun makes everything glow. From the beginning of the day at Valley of the Kings to end at Karnak Temple - we had the most amazing day in Egypt. Our awesome tour guide Sam, explained all the history of everything we were seeing and then we had some time take it all in. Would 100 percent recommend!

EMO representative pick me.up at me hotel room Abdulrahman and Nader picked me up from Airport on my return from Luxor. They both were very puncual and professionals. They explain to me my itinerary and even after i departed they kept in touch with me.

Bittersweet experience

This tour was bittersweet. It started at 3 am with the hotel pick up in Giza but when we arrived at the airport we realized that the flight was delayed over 2 hours. We asked for Spanish speaking guide for the entire tour in Aswan and Luxor but we the tour guides provided were English speaking. No big deal since my girlfriend and I are bilingual but it could have been an issue for other tourists. Unfortunately the tour guide in Aswan was not very prepared or knowledgeable in the sites we visited in Aswan. His English was extremely difficult to understand and you could tell that he was not comfortable speaking English. That’s probably why he seemed not very confident during the tour. Other than that he was friendly and tried to help in other ways. Lastly for some reason unknown to me, we never stopped for lunch even though is included in the tour. The hotel room in Aswan we stayed overnight was horrible. Basma hotel. Just make sure you don’t stay there. Our luck changed the next day. The driver picked us up on time and drove us to Luxor where we met Samer ( aka Sam ). Sam was professional, well prepared and knowledgeable. We definitely enjoyed our full day in Luxor. He asked us about our experience in Aswan and when we told him what happened he apologized in the name of the tour operator ( Emo Tour ) and contacted Emo with our feedback. Emo refunded us for the entrance fee of Philae Temple we couldn’t go in Aswan because of the sandstorm and also agreed to pay for our drinks and coffee at lunch for the lunch that we never had the day before at Aswan. Our tour guide Sam was very helpful and met all of our expectations. Sam and the driver in Luxor have 5+ stars. I hope this review is helpful for both tourists and Emo Tours. I have used Emo tours in the past and this is the first time I had issues. This tour is pricy and I expected better service and hotel accommodations.

Abu simbel karnak tour

It was an incredible experience from start to finish. I would recommend this trip to anyone's. The guides and the drivers in both Aswan and luxor ware very good very accommodating. Thank you

Excellent Guides

Both of the tour guides we had for each day were amazing, Mustafa & Mohamed, they both gave tons of information, the sites were awesome. Lunch on the 2nd day was delicious. The only thing that keeps this from 5 stars to 4 stars is the days got switched around due to flight availability and the first day we were out from 300am to 600pm that's a 15 hour day with no food or opportunity to get food. Also because we left the hotel so early in the morning the next day we were not able to take advantage of the free breakfast, so we got short changed a bit on food.

The beat of Egypt with the VIP touch

It was VIP service all the way. From the drivers to getting my tickets, letting me know ahead of time who and when they will be coming along with the exceptional services of guides Shereen and Mohamad it was amazing. They explained everything in detail. At one point I was getting an explanation on a wall depiction with another group saying wow I wish I had his guid! They even had someone stay with me while I was waiting for the train to ensure I made it to the next stop. The restaurants selected where wonderful multi-corse meals. I can’t say enough good things about the Emo tours teams. Lastly they made sure if I was curious about anything else or if we had time for more that I knew what more I could do. Even the overnight stay hotel was great with them taking care of the check in process. I’ve traveled to 30 countries the personal service given was unmatched. I’ve already referred them to my friends who are looking to visit Egypt on a tight schedule as mine was.

Private tour is the way to go.

Highly recommend EMO Tours. While in Egypt, took 4 tours with them and all went well. Be prepared to be tired but you get to see everything you must see on this 2 day tour. Having the private tour was definitely a much, much better experience than the large tour buses. Would highly recommend this tour just for that reason. On the first day our guide was Amany and she was excellent and I especially appreciated how she took special care with my 88 year old mother while still explaining and showing us all. The car and driver were also excellent. The only thing I would like to see change is that the flight to Aswan be changed to go directly to Abu Sembel to save the 2 plus hours driving there. We spent the night at the Basma Hotel in Aswan and this is the reason I rated this tour 4 and not 5. It is definitely not a 4 star hotel, the service was good but the rooms had hard beds and the bathroom left much to be desired. The second day, we were picked up at 4:30am and driven to Luxor, where we met our guide, Nasser. He was also excellent and we had a good full day. The driver, Mohammed was also good.

great value

For those who are constrained by time and budget this tour delivers exceptional value. The tour organizers carefully arranged the schedule so you could get a taste of the best of Aswan (Abu Simbel and Philae and Luxor) and Luxor (Valley of the Kings as well as Karnak and Luxor temples). The tour guides for Abu Simbel and Aswan, Aida George, and for Luxor, Ghada Khalsa, had deep knowledge of their respective areas. Both were very personable and helpful. And both had excellent communication skills. They kept to a very ambitious schedule without apparent rushing. The tour organizers are also to be commended for the smooth running of the tours- all the pieces, including and especially transportation, seamlessly fit together. I would whole heartedly recommend this tour!

This is the way to go!

Been to Egypt before but didn't bother to go to Luxor and Abu Simbel. Mistake. These two places house the most precious heritage of Egypt, in addition to the pyramids at Giza, of course. And booking this tour was the best decision I made during this trip. At first I thought of flying to Luxor and staying there for the duration of my Egypt extension which was only 5 days. But I decided to stay in Cairo instead and visit Luxor and Abu Simbel on this tour. EMO travel took care of the rest, from hotel pick up to airport transfers, private car, driver and guide, hotel accommodations, lunches. As soon as I arrived in Aswan, had one driver the whole time (who was great), had two guides (one in Abu Simbel/Aswan) and one in Luxor who were both very nice, friendly and accommodating. They attended to all my needs. In short, the whole 2 day excursion was very pleasant in spite of the heat (August in Luxor and Aswan is over 100F everyday. Hat, cooling towel and long sleeves are must haves). In short, this tour covers everything one wants to see in Abu Simbel, Aswan and Luxor. I'd highly recommend it.

Fast, busy but you see it all!

A fast and crazy trip but fun and a good experience! Flights are early than a car ride for 3 hours to Abu Simbel. Really cool! Then lunch in car ride. Then to more sights in Aswan. Hotel in Aswan (wife hated it, 2 stars) . The. To Luxor 3 hours and you see east and West Bank. Then flight late at night back to Cairo. Everything was on time but make sure you revive the correct flight information and are dropped off at the right place. There are a lot of moving parts so be prepared. You get to see all the sights for a good price and in only two days! You will be tired but happy at the end that you lived it up and saw Egypt sights. There was also a short boat ride in Aswan to one of the temples. The guides were also great and helpful and had awesome stories about life in Egypt and history. In all 3-4 rating Pros - see it all, fun, exciting and good guides Cons- tiring , hotels, logistical, be prepared

Amazing cruise experience

This cruise exceeded my expectations. The room was amazing. It had a lot of space and everything we could possibly need. All the crew and staff were fantastic and went the extra mile to make us happy. Pool, gym equipment, entertainment, excursions, great food. Relaxing cruise on the Nile. We were also picked up for the cruise, taken everywhere we wanted to see in Aswan prior to the cruise at no additional charge. I recommend the tour guides. They will give you vital information and make your excursions run smoothly. The kids 6 & 10 years old had an amazing time. They loved the horse carriage ride. I highly recommend this cruise. 5 stars! Do this cruise. They will make you feel like a VIP and take excellent care of your family.

Wonderful Trip

This was an amazing trip. My Guide Dod was was extremely knowledgeable and provided so much wonderful insight that I would have missed if it had not been for her in-depth knowledge of the area.

Amazing tour

We booked this private tour and were so happy we did. We lucked out with our tour guide Dod (DoAa) . From beginning to end she was there to guide us and made us feel welcomed. She was waiting for us at Aswan airport and gave us so much information and history of the Temples. She was very sweet and accommodating to me and my husband, and waited for the 100 pictures we were taking all day long. She picked great hotels and restaurants to eat at. She was with us for both parts of the tour, East and West banks of the Nile. Guided us what to buy and what not to. Taught me some arab words and made this tour so very special. Abu Simbel is extraordinary. Luxor and Karnak temples are incredible and the Valley of the Kings is outstanding. It gets very hot in the South, so carry water with you at all times. This tour is worth every penny.
