We (my spouse and I) got a recommendation to use Look At Egypt Tours, which my friends had used for their trip a few months before. The communications with the company were almost seamless, though I had one email that remained unanswered right before our flights. All our guides, Hannah, Wahid, Mohammed and our driver Abrahim were very reliable and enjoyable. There was one time when a miscommunication between us and one of the guides caused a little tension, but that was easily solved. The Nile cruise was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. What a thrill to be on the river with the lush green of the shore and the desert mountains in the distance. As Americans, we are used to tipping for service, and I would recommend people who haven't been to Egypt get an idea who to tip, when, and how much. The exchange rate is very favorable right now, which is an added plus. Also, driving in Cairo is not for the faint of heart. Don't plan on renting a car there. I am so glad we made the trip. Highly recommend for a stress free Egypt experience

Navigating Egypt can sound scary reading reviews of travelers that have gone and not prepared. Mahmoud Hafny, Yasmeen and their team took that stress away and facilitated an experience that we are so glad we did. Egypt with its people and its sights are incredible and should be on any travelers bucket list. Special shout out to our tour guides Mohamed Shata, Mohamed Farah and our driver Amr. They spent so much time with us and made our experience in Egypt an excellent one. The tour was well organized and our every need taken care of. We had some extra requests like bag storage which their team graciously made easy for us. One of our hotels didn’t book the requested room type for us and despite the hotel being full Mahmoud worked so hard to get us the right rooms and made it happen in the end. There was no magic that they could not make happen for us. We really felt like we could ask them anything and they had a solution for everything. Trying to navigate Egypt without them would have been much more difficult. We came for the ancient sights which are awe-inspiring and truly one of a kind. But we will leave with memories of so much more than that. The mysteries of a civilization 5000 years old. The incredible flavours of the food. And of course, Egyptian hospitality and the warmth of its people. Highly recommend to anyone considering going!

All in all a trip of a lifetime. But not all guides are created equal. Mohcmoud and mustapha were the best and took care

There were three of us and we had Mohcmoud moody as the lead. Mustapha was our guide at the beginning and at the end. He was our favorite!!! Love him!! Tips: At the beginning, lunch was not scheduled in a timely manner so that was a hardship for a few of the team. Having snacks in the van would be helpful. One of the guides during the Nile cruise didn’t tell us about the Aswan market which was very disappointing; especially since I had asked for a market area to visit. Loved the trip but was quite taken back by all the trash and dead animals in the side canals of the Nile and Cairo. Would have liked a better heads up on what we should have been tipping the WC. We were paying too much in the beginning. Also, the vendors at the sites are horrific. I would shop if they just left us alone. Hated that.

Experience of a lifetime!

We've just wrapped up an amazing trip with Look at Egypt Tours. On arrival in Cairo, we were met by representative Mahmoud Hafny, who guided us through the visa checkpoint. I felt immediately at ease with Mahmoud. He brought us to our hotel, went through the check in process for us, got us Sim cards and set up a way to communicate. The entire staff at the Ritz Carlton, Nile were superb! Our four day tour in Cairo was led by Randa, an excellent representative of her country. Pyramids, camel rides, temples, tombs, restaurants and more were all expertly described by Randa as we visited some truly incredible sites. Randa was warm and friendly and we looked forward to seeing her smiling face each morning. Thank you, Randa. Once the Cairo portion was over, Mahmoud again took care of getting us back to the airport for our flight to Luxor and again, took care of all our needs when we returned back to Cairo. Thank you, Mahmoudà At the Luxor airport, we were met by Mohamed Maher El-shaer. Mohamed was our guide for the Nile cruise portion of our trip and was incredibly knowledgeable. He explained, in detail, every temple and tomb we visited as well as ensured we were all safe and well while on board. His communication with us as far as timing and what to expect was excellent. The sites and experiences on this trip were once in a lifetime experience. Thank you Mohamed! Unfortunately, I don't know the names of the many drivers we had but they eased through the chaotic traffic and always got us to our destinations safely. Six of us took this tour together and before our departure date, we were all a little unsure about the safety of travelling to Egypt, especially now. We needn't have worried. None of us ever felt unsafe at any time. The Egyptian people are warm and friendly and always smiling. We all felt very welcomed by everyone we met. A wonderful time in Egypt!

We had an amazing time on our tour! We were welcomed by Mahmod and our arrival, hotel stay and departure were made seamless. The time in Cairo was spent with our wonderful pleasant guide Randa who was so knowledgeable. She transported us back in history as we saw ancient Egypt come alive. Our drivers were experts at maneuvering safely through the crazy Cario traffic. The Nile cruise was lovely with excellent service, beautiful sunsets and good food. We felt safe at all times. Mohammad, our guide in Luxor was also knowledgeable and friendly. If we needed anything our guides were always ready to help. Thank you for a wonderful experience we won’t forget!

Outstanding Tour Company. Highly recommended.

Look At Egypt Tours did a fantastic job throughout the 10 days and many places we visited. Each city had a representative that could not have been more helpful and diligent. Mahmoud Hafny in Cairo was able to meet our many requests for last minute changes when we became ill and had to rearrange the schedules. Mahmoud handled all this with professionalism and grace. Our guide was Ahmed Salah, in Cairo for 3 days and on the Nile cruise for 4 days we had Mahamod. Both were fantastic and Ahmed was instrumental in executing all the changes we needed to make in Cairo. We had many drivers who navigated the complicated roads and traffic patiently and professionally. The Fairmont Nile Hotel was a lovely hotel and the staff and food were excellent. Both my wife and I could not have asked for any better service. It was all terrific.

A splendid family tour

My family had a truly unforgettable 2 weeks in Egypt thanks to Look At Egypt! In the few months before the trip, we were in close contact with Ahmed and Fayrouz who were always gracious and quick in their communication, whether over email, What’s app, or phone. We were a group of 7 requesting the Mysteries of Egypt tour but wanted to add Alexandria, and they responded with an updated itinerary immediately. Ahmed was very accommodating and worked with us to negotiate itinerary details, accommodations (e.g. staying at 2 Cairo hotels instead of just one) and costs. The company also smoothly handled PCR testing for leaving Egypt. For $105USD per person, they invited a doctor onto the Nile river cruise when we were in Aswan to take our samples and we got our results on-time. Ahmed was professional, courteous, and quick when addressing big and small issues. For example, we had a last minute drop-out of a member in our group of 7 people. Another family member replaced him, but he flew from a different city and one day later than the rest of us. Ahmed quickly responded when we let him know and handled updating domestic flights, cruise, and accommodations. Upon our request, Ahmed even worked with his team, that is our tour guide Mostafa and driver Tawfik (who is the best driver I’ve ever witnessed by the way), to take our last-minute family member on a private tour early in the morning before our regular itinerary that day to see the pyramids, which he had missed on day 1. Throughout the tour, we also conveyed nitpicks about the hotel rooms and food, which the team worked to address day-by-day. We appreciated their efforts and were impressed by the level of teamwork the Look at Egypt team displayed to satisfy their customers. Every single day, our tour guides (Mostafa in Cairo+Alexandria , Mohamed in Luxor to Aswan) were timely, professional, courteous, engaging, and radiating passion for Egyptian history and culture. It was a privilege to be taught and guided by them. Our drivers, especially Tawfik in Cairo, were super humans. Driving in Cairo looked like absolute chaos coming from America, but Tawfik navigated the mayhem like a boss. As for points of improvement, we were hoping to be treated to fancier meals since we had paid for the highest tier of accommodations. The food was tasty, but we had hoped there was room in the budget for slightly fancier/nicer options too. The hotels were great, and our favorites were Kempinski in Cairo, Hilton in Luxor, and Mövenpick in Aswan. All in all, this was a trip for the books. Thank you so much for everything Look at Egypt.

Mysteries of Egypt Tour

We had an amazing time in Egypt thanks to Look at Egypt Tours! Every step in our itinerary was well thought out and everyone we interacted with was extremely accommodating. Throughout the trip, my family and I had an abundance of questions and requests but everyone from the company was incredibly patient. Traveling in an area we were unfamiliar with in a time of great uncertainty due to the pandemic, we were constantly reassured that everything would be okay and that they would handle any of our concerns. We also want to give a special shoutout to our tour guides Mustafa and Mohamed. Their passion and knowledge for Egyptian history radiated throughout our trips to the pyramids, temples, museums, etc. We all learned so much during our time and were able to recognize certain figures and symbols towards the tail end of our trip thanks to them. Apart from their depth of knowledge, Mustafa and Mohamed treated us with so much warmth. From telling us life stories to offering food from their own lunches, they made us feel like part of their family. We can honestly say that we couldn’t have asked for more amazing tour guides! We also greatly appreciate Mahmoud who coordinated all of our transportation from city to city and addressed all of our concerns with unwavering patience. Amazing Egypt and Jordan

We all had a fantastic time with Look at Egypt Tours!! From being escorted from the airport to the hotel along the Nile River by Tarek and Abdul to being escorted to Giza and the sites in Cairo By Hannah. We had a wonderful time and we’re treated to authentic Egyptian lunches. Tarek is so kind and caring right up until we left Cairo on the flight home. Hannah showed us wonderful ancient sites in Cairo. She is kind, accommodating and a lovely lady. We had a nice flight to Luxor and we’re escorted by Dr.Jones. He is a very kind man with a great sense of humor. He has a PHD in ancient Egyptian archaeology. We visited all the ancient temples, the Valley of the Kings all while traveling the Nile on a river cruise. Dr. Jones explained what story the Hieroglyphics we’re telling. What an amazing life the ancient Egyptians had. We visited ancient temples that were moved to higher ground due to the lower and upper dams being built. An amazing feat in itself. Abu Simbel was a beautiful temple. Tarek also picked us up at the Cairo airport upon return from Aswan. He went above and beyond to help us with PCR tests and transport us to a different hotel closer to the airport. He even showed up at 3:30 in the morning to help us get through the different stations at the airport on our flight back to the USA . Dr. Jones bought two kilos of hibiscus tea for us to take home and would not let us pay for it. All the people were just so friendly and amazing. I highly recommend this tour with look at Egypt. This tour company also set up a wonderful tour in Jordan to Petra, Wadi Rum and the Dead Sea with wonderful accommodations. 5 star tour all the way!!

Great travel experience with Look at Egypt

My group of 6 friends booked this tour with Look at Egypt in late December 2020. We added on a couple days to the trip to visit the city of Alexandria. I booked with Look at Egypt because it was a small company and I could personalize some portions of our trip. I dealt with the managing director, Ahmed Abd Al Fatah, who was very responsive. We first started via email, but moved to Whatapp in communicating back and forth. This made finalizing the itinerary easier. Initially I was hesitant in wiring a huge amount of money to this company, not knowing if I could trust them. But I'm glad I threw caution to the wind, because our tour was very well organized and the company never left any tour detail incomplete. We were always taken care of upon arrival into Cairo and with departure home. Someone was always there to make sure we were taken care of every step of the way. This is a legitimate company. During the tour, we had Mohamed Abuelmagd as our tour guide. He was always constantly with us during the whole tour. We would have different drivers, airport greeters, and security guards. But constantly we always had the same tour guide, which is nice as you can build a relationship with the guide and don't feel like you're always being passed off to someone else at different cities. Mohamed was a great guide, not too much information to overwhelm you, but enough information to learn a little and keep you interested. He was also accommodating. He allowed us free time to wander on our own and have personal contemplative time at the places we visited. He was always asking us if we had questions and always checking on our health and well-being during the trip. We always felt safe throughout the tour. The only negative things I would say about Look at Egypt was with the initial booking process. I wish they provided timely responses to invoice/receipts and agreed upon changes itinerary. For example, when I wired money, I would have liked an email confirming receipt of money along with an invoice showing what was paid. I had to ask for an invoice and it took more than a week to get this from the company. Also when we changed things with the itinerary, I would have liked for a timely response with an updated itinerary. Each time we changed something with the itinerary it took several weeks to get the update. Ahmed was responsive, but changes to invoices or itineraries went through his administrative staff and this took quite a while. During the booking process I had interacted with several people, so I was not sure if there was a main person because I would get responses from different people. So it was hard to know which person I had to deal with. Other than the initial booking difficulties, the tour was very well organized and the Look at Egypt team we interacted with while in Egypt were very professional and friendly. A shout out to Tarek, who was our airport liaison. He assisted us upon arrival in Cairo with visas, he handled the domestic air travel to Luxor, he also assisted us with our return home. At the airport he would help us through security, getting check in, getting a SIM card for my phone, and managed some lost luggage issues. He helped us every step of the way at the airport, he's a nice guy and very chill.

Unforgettable tour

Wonderful time in Egypt with LAE We had a wonderful time in Egypt, thanks to Look at Egypt Tours! Their service was extremely professional, from the booking to the drop off at the airport in Egypt. They prepared our package according to our requirements and interests and the trip was flawless, all went smoothly. We have been to Cairo then we took the Nile Cruise and Abu simbel It is hard to pick a highlight, all the sights were fantastic, you feel like in a movie! Great service throughout the trip! Fabulous 10 day trip to Egypt

Look at Egypt was the perfect partner in putting together and executing our first visit to Egypt. I was the coordinator of trip planning and had done some spadework to know a little about the itinerary and what we wanted to see. Ahmed, the owner of Look at Egypt Tours was extremely efficient, helpful and responsive in putting together the itinerary. He was always very quick to respond to queries going so far as to respond at 3:30 am Cairo time on one occasion when I didn't realize the difference in time zones. Once we got to Cairo he was also very responsive in coordinating our schedules and meetings with his people. From the time we landed, the Look at Egypt staff was at hand to help us negotiate the new country. A special word of appreciation for Karim who was our airport point person. He coordinated all our trips to and from the airport including our trip back from Aswan to Cairo when the airline delayed our luggage delivery by 1.30 hours and we were in a time crunch to get into Cairo for an event. Our Guide in Cairo, Dalia was wonderful in understanding our preferences and customizing our tour for us. She was extremely personable and great fun to be with. She was also eager to help take pictures and gave us a peek into local dining. We were sorry to see our time with her end and we would have been happy to have had her with us on the Nile cruise. However, our guide while on the Nile cruise was also excellent. We really enjoyed our time with Mohammed. He was knowledgeable and extremely helpful, always at hand to help us plan and execute visits on the trip. Ask him to take pictures of you - he's an excellent photographer and knows how to frame the perfect picture. Finally the crew on board the Steigenberger Legacy that we took for the Nile cruise was wonderful - very attentive and caring and we felt extremely well looked after. Overall, we had a marvelous time thanks to Look at Egypt Tours and I would unhesitatingly recommend their services in planning a trip to Egypt.

Once in a lifetime experience seeing as much as possible in 10 days

This was a truly amazing trip. Everybody we interacted with from Look at Egypt was incredibly welcoming, thoughtful, organized and reliable. We were three girlfriends traveling together and had the greatest time. Starting from the airport pick ups and drop offs everything was extremely well organized and super smooth. We loved our guides. Dalia, our guide in Cairo, was extremely knowledgeable and also immediately understood what we are interested in (in our case lots of history and sampling local cuisine including street food) and what we are not into (shopping). She was great about tailoring our two days in Cairo and our day trip to Alexandria to what we wanted. It was also really nice to have a female guide. She felt like she was part of the crew and always offered to take pictures of the three of us. For our time in Luxor, on the cruise, and in Abu Simbel, we had a different but equally great guide, Mohamed. He also had a lot of experience and was always reachable on WhatsApp when we had nothing planned with him (e.g., we went to have high tea at the Old Cataract Hotel in Aswan - highly recommended - and asked him to adjust the pick up time with our driver). Super responsive and quick to respond. Overall it was an amazing trip because everything was so well planned and set up. Highly, highly recommend.

Incredible experience!

We were highly recommended by our in-laws to come to Egypt and tour with this group. We are so glad we did, because the personal attention we received was phenomenal! We had our own 2 Egyptologists with us, private van drop and pick up everywhere the 14 day/13 night tour scheduled us. We felt safe the entire time in Egypt! I would highly recommend this tour group because all the guide representatives, drivers and Egyptologists were so nice, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. 😊👍

Amazing time in Egypt

We booked the Egypt tour in a very short notice and started our travel in two days during peak December holiday season . The owner Mr. Ahmed was very efficient and accommodated all our needs. Everything was well planned and organised right from the airport pickup to every destination we went . We were accompanied by very knowledgeable Egyptologist to all the temples. Our Guide in Aswan and Luxor , Mr. Mohammed was super fun and made it a memorable trip . He took extra efforts and was always available to us even after we moved to other destinations. Also to mention, Ms. Marwa who accompanied us to the Museum and pyramids , she was VERY knowledgeable and explained everything really well. We were very interested in the history and she was more than willing to explain everything in detail. Lastly Ms. Kholoud took us for an excursion in Cairo , she was super sweet and took us to all the places . She was very patient and was a lovely person. Overall had a wonderful experience!!!

Amazing Egypt Experience!

We had some airline troubles with our luggage arriving, and Ahmed went so far beyond what was necessary to help us. honeymoon in egypt

Where to begin.....this was a trip of a lifetime. Ahmed helped us out from the moment we contacted him about prices and customizing our tour and was very quick to respond and eager to help. Once we arrived at Cairo airport we were met at the terminal and were helped to obtain our Visas and pass immigration. We were then greeted and transported by private car to our hotel by Karim our tour leader. Karim was very helpful and informative from the very beginning even going out of his way to purchase SIM cards for us. We stayed at the Meridien with a Pyramid view room. Our tour started the next day and continued with Ronda for the next 5 days, who was the sweetest and most passionate tour guide. We then flew to Luxor and met with our Second tour guide Mohammed who was absolutely amazing and quickly became a good friend. We visited Karnak temple and then checked in to our 4 day nile cruise. The cruise was out of this world and staff went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. They even baked us a cake and sang to us in the restaurant for our honeymoon. Egypt you have captured my heart and made every wish of mine possible come true from the pyramids to the temples, the camel rides, to my biggest dream ever going in a hot air balloon ride over the valley of the kings and last but not least holding a Nile Crocodile. Fantastic Trip

We did 3 days in Cairo along with a Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan for 10 day total. Look At Egypt is extremely well organized - starting when they met us at the airport and helped us get a visa. Everywhere we went was a comfortable as possible with a English speaking guide and a driver. We had an Egyptologist with us for all the sights and I can't recommend it enough. The stories of ancient Egypt were explained to us using the hieroglyphs we saw. The cruise boat booked for us was called Crown Empress. Great choice, the boat was comfortable and the food was better than expected. We did a few add on tours that were definitely worth it - Abu Simbel and the sunrise hot air balloon It was hard for us to choose a tour company from reading reviews online but take our word for it and use Look At Egypt.

Exceptional Choices

Personal guides and support were exceptional. The selection of hotels and the cruise ship were among the best Egypt has to offer. Only improvement to suggest would be to have less time in Cairo and more in Luxor, and a bit more local variety in the off-ship meals but there is just so much to see, even with our 4 extra days couldn't do it justice.

Wow - our trip was the realisation of a long held ambition and it surpassed our wildest expectations. The organisation and care taken by Look at Egypt was impeccable and we felt safe and looked after at all times. Karim was exceptional as the greeter, making us welcome and helping us to navigate the confusion of modern Egypt at every stage of our trip. Then there was Amina and Saad who guided us thought the mind blowing beauty and awesomeness of Ancient Egypt. Their knowledge, humour and attention was a real treat and helped us massively expand our understanding and appreciation of an incredible period of history. Fantastic Tour

Overall Look at Egypt tours did a great job. They were always on time and able to help with anything. Guides were generally very knowledgeable and would answer any questions. The itinerary was amazing and we hit most of the top sites, each with unique attributes. Some of the sites were rather crowded at this time of the year with many tourists. Overall, cant complain about anything and would recommend this to anyone. Egypt is full of amazing sites and we never felt unsafe.

Best Family Holiday

I had a great experience with Look at Egypt Tours. The tour guides were very informative and passionate about ancient Egyptian history. I found the tour extremely fascinating and I loved every single moment of it. You get to experience the ancient culture of Egypt, also their people and different cuisines and visit most of the greatest historical places, such as the pyramids, sphinx, Luxor temples. Perfect Planning and Itinerary!!!

Lets start with some personal info. I am a white male, 6'2", 300 pounds, heavily tattooed, active, but not what I would call fit by any means. I live in Pittsburgh, PA, USA. I took this trip with my cousin. Day 1: International flight - so long - so terrible... obviously not LAE fault, just sucks. 18 hours of travel. We are met by a LAE employee with a sign with our name on it at Cairo airport. This was great, he got our passports approved and got our visas for us and then took us to the hotel and got us checked in. Amazing. He told us exactly when and where to meet our guide for the next morning. Day 2: Samah Elbadrawy met us in the lobby right when and where we were told to meet. Van waiting outside. We started with the tour of Memphis, Samah knew traffic would be easier if we did it this way. She took us through and was very knowledgeable. She was also very good at making the beggars and vendors leave us alone. Next stop Giza!! We took all the pictures we wanted to take from all the angles we wanted to get. She was more than happy to put up with our tom foolery and went right along with everything we had in mind. Great Pyramid, going inside is an extra couple dollars. No big deal. it was hot, low oxygen, tight quarters.... but i am so glad i did it. Steer clear of the guys outside, they hound you for money, ass****s, very aggressive. Day 3: Museum and old Cairo the museum is pretty cool, but very crowded. It's a must. Next we went to a synagogue (yeah, there's one there) and a Coptic church. We had seen enough of churches and opted to head straight to Khan Elkhalili Bazaar. This place is a maze of shops and vendors. Be careful here. Everyone wants your money, be smart. Day 4: 2:30 a.m. flight from Cairo to Luxor.... Same deal, guy meets us with a sign with our names on it and a dodge sprinter style van. Awesome! This is where we meet (Razor) Ramone Ramoni. A lot of the guides wear vests and carry Jeep brand bags, weird. But we came to discover that Jeep is a big sponsor of soccer there. Ramone is also very knowledgeable and know all the spots to show us the best of each place. Temples and lunch with Razor, then nap time. Theres a lot of places the guides aren't allowed to go, so he would drop us at the entrance to a tomb and say "take your time, i'll be waiting over there". We were never rushed. This is a lot of typing, so... Key points: LAE was everything and more than we could have asked for. They need to stress more that it is a private or at least small group (6 or less people) tour, we had a lot of flexibility to change what we did or do differently than the itinerary called for. Baksheesh - theres a lot of things you want to do or places you want to take a picture thats "not allowed". usually 50 or 100 Egyptian pounds resolves the rules. I got ALL of the pictures i wanted. They security of person watching the area will say NO NO NO, and once handed a folded bill will walk away as quickly as they arrived. Cairo is very underprivileged, there's a lot of trash, wild dogs and unfinished buildings. I wasnt ready for that. It's not a resort town, its a desert city. Everyone is willing to deal, if they ask 200 EP, counter offer 100 and you'll settle below 150. There's so much to take in and so many questions before you go. I would be happy to have a conversation drewerny with @ anyone yahoo that is considering this trip.

<p>The guides were fabulous. However the majority of nights we were put up in the dirtiest hotel we have ever been in! When we asked for a room change, we were told there were no more rooms. Since there were empty rooms, I did not believe them, but could do nothing without transportation and knowledge.</p>

TRAVELING IS RENEWAL

The coffee room was completely renovated and expanded, making it better and more comfortable. Excellent breakfast with many food options. The bedroom window is now soundproofed. Large bathroom and very good shower. Service from staff very good. Hotel location is excellent. There are no more sports channels on television. Car parking is not covered.
