Back in action after cyclone

We were the second rafting trip after the cyclone and had to change rivers to little milgrave. Access to Barron was blocked. Liv and team did a great job keeping everyone safe and having a fun time. Do it. Cheers

Awesome day and well organised from pick up to getting geared up. To working with our guide Georgia who was so professional and so much fun and very helpful to everyone involved. Definitely great for 1st timers and would fully recommend.

Family friends of 6 going on our first rafting trip. Amazing experience, with amazing views. The guides are all extremely knowledgeable and account for every possible risk - very safe. Our rafting guide Kyle was amazing - very fun yet informative and clear. Went extra lengths to make the most out of the rafting experience. Would 100% recommend. I saw other rafts with children too, so the experience caters to many ages and fitness levels. The company has a designated photographer - compared to many other adventure experience companies the photos are affordable (~ $50) and are charged per raft and not per person. Thanks Kyle and Team :)

A must-do activity in Cairns

I went on a tour with two teenagers. Ash and Peter were in charge of our boat. They were very professional and funny and gave us have a great rafting experience. Thank you Ash and Peter!

A Must Do

Great experience. First time doing this and it was worth the time and money. FYI: buy surf shoes (open sandals aren’t as good for this) and scout out and pair up with a couple who seem physically capable if you’re a party of 2-3 people. We ended up with duds that contributed little if any which will put more work on your shoulders. Buy the pics at the end as they’ll be worth the money for laughs. Logan, you kick @ss! Great job and you couldn’t have been a better guide.

Fun, Adventure Rafting

We had so much fun on our white-water rafting tour. Our guide kept us informed and safe. This was our first experience with white-water rafting, but we felt safe and supported by our guide. We were so proud for challenging ourselves with this tour.

You will get wet!

What a thrill! We were told by locals that there hadn't been much rain lately and that the river might be just a trickle - it was NOT. It was in fact flowing fast and quite deep. I naively thought this would be a bit of a tame tourist activity but quickly realised during the in-raft training brief at the start of our ride that things were going to get serious and fast. Our guide Bruce was charming and super patient with our crew of very inexperienced and mostly middle-aged/older women. Forewarned is forearmed as they say and much fun was had. Definitely recommend for those willing to listen to instructions and work as part of a team. You will definitely get wet. The coach pick up/drop off service from Cairns was very handy. Be aware that there are only 2 toilets/change spaces at the final destination for use by a large number of people, so plan your change of clothes & footwear accordingly. Lastly - say yes to the option to purchase the photos that they provide - they're worth the money.

Had a great time on our raft trip down the Barron River! Kyle was an excellent guide! He even gave the 3 guys in the raft a free swim in Roostertail! We had a lot of fun!

Absolutely amazing experience. Was the highlight of our trip and Ash our guide was brilliant. Knowledgeable, funny and made our experience an unforgettable one. Highly recommend doing this as it's fun, thrilling and gets the adrenaline pumping.

Scenic white water rafting

My partner and I had the best time white water rafting. It was both of ours first time, I think my partner would have liked some scarier drops but I think it was perfect for us first timers. The scenery was stunning! Our tour guide Luke was amazing, knew lots of interesting facts about the river and surrounding area. Would love to do it again sometime!

Great staff! Pickup and drop off were super easy. I had the great fortune of Dan both as a driver and as my rafting guide. On the road, Dan was warm, kind, considerate, engaging, and conversational. On the water, he was all of those things plus some silly jokes, encouragements, and thorough safety instructions. The other staff were great too—all fun-spirited folks who seem to genuinely enjoy and take pride in what they do. The rafting itself was awesome. Some moments of intense fun in the rapids and many chill moments of paddling and blissful swimming. The rapids were tamer than I’d expected, which made for great time to check out the amazing boulders and foliage of the gorge, as well as floating along the river in the current. I highly recommend this tour and there’s nothing I’d change!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Tubing & Rafting Package

Great experience tubing with Elliot, Luke and Keanu, despite the Ute issues in the morning, they were quick to have us at the location asap. Ash was also a great guide for the whitewater rafting experience.

Good half day out

Nice rafting trip. It’s perfect for a day out with not too much travel to get there and about 75min on the water with a few fun rapids and great views. Guides were fun and Jay clearly lives what he does.

Dan is a professional and safe tour guide!

Our tour guide, Dan, was great in all respects. He kept us safe, had a great sense of humour, and was professional at all times. A link to the photos is emailed to you to peruse, soon after your tour, so don't feel pressured to buy these straight after the tour, on site. We were not told this but viewed and purchased at our leisure, at our accommodation, later. $25 each photo or all 100+ for $55.

Jon the mad Canadian was great. Action packed and fun. Well run and all the staff were fantastic. Would do it again.

Awesome experience!

Incredible scenery, very fun rapids and awesome guides. Had an absolute ball. Didn't stop smiling the whole time! We were even able to have a swim midway through. The water was surprisingly warm. The valley was breath-taking. Very tranquil (aside from all us people). Will definitely be doing this again next time I'm in Cairns!

Great experience as solo traveler

Beautiful time on the river with Jordan a d a raft full of travelers from around Australia and the world. The tean doing pick ups helped me out when I missed the message about the common location nearby for pick-up. They made sure I got on the bus and didnt miss my trip. Once we were at the river, I was out in a boat with others and immediately made to feel part of the group. Quick lessons from Jordan were really effective and allowed us to be successful. Rapids were good. Not too advanced but definitely made you know you were having an adventure!

SO MUCH Fun - Go, you won't regret it.

Family of 5 on our first rafting trip all together. Two oldies had been before but many years ago. Got picked up from Port Douglas. Was very easy to organise. Very relaxed drive to the Barron River and then got kitted out and ready to go. Had the best raft guide, Kyle. He was funny and also informative. A note from our 19 year old. If you want your lashes to stay dry, then Kyle is your man!! He will do his utmost to help you keep your lashes as dry as possible. 17 year old loved it as well but she didn't have lashes to worry about thankfully. And a final note from our 12 year old who fell out the raft but she felt so safe that it didn't bother her at all. She even said that she would give the full day Tully River one a go when she's old enough!! Thank you guys for a great day. :)

Fantastic Rafting experience

Fantastic trip White Water Rafting. Very well organised and run. Our guide Ash was knowledgeable and a great teacher. Great fun going through the rapids and floating down the river. Would recommend to anyone.

Brilliant half day, Kyle was our rafting guide and he made the day amazing. Very experienced and a lot of fun to be around. Explained everything clearly so everyone could understand. Definitely do this experience and try get Kyle to be your guide!

Great experience for starters ...Guide was really helpful. Must do when in Cairns... Need to create/install more maybe temporary change/wash rooms as it gets really crowded at the public toilets

Barron River Beauty From a Raft

Enjoyed the challenge absorbing beautful country! Had an experienced guide Mat who kept us safe also having a laugh! Second time rafting on the Barron River first time 20 years ago but thankfully still operating such a memorable experience.

Had an amazing time! Shout out to Ash our rafting instructor! The whole experience is well organised and enjoyable. It's not too rough or too slow, just perfect for a little excitement!

Will definitely go again

Had a great time rafting with Ash! He taught us how to effectively push through the rafts and did some tricky stuff, making sure we had the best experience. We were on the water for two hours, so its definitely great bang for buck. Plus, they use dam water to ensure the river is flowing. This way the rafts are always plenty of fun. Highly recommend!

A fulfilled afternoon of white water rafting

Our family of 4 had an awesome afternoon white water rafting with the team at Cairns Adventure group, we were quickly bought up to speed learning the basics with our instructor Joe, who was extremely friendly and knew his way around the rapids. We were an inexperienced group but we all had the best time, we would certainly recommend Cairns Adventure group for any of the activities that they offer.

A fun family afternoon white water rafting. Great introduction if you have never white water rafted. The kids loved it and the guides were enthusiastic and helpful.

Fantastic first experience rafting with engaging guide Ash

This was a fantastic experience for our first time rafting! The guides were very lively and fun to be around for the afternoon. Our guide Ash, was super engaging and up for a chat. This course is ideal for first time rafters and we are excited to try some gutsier rapids next time. It is worth getting the photo package at the end too.
