Great day on the water

The staff on the reef tour were amazing and couldn’t do enough for everyone on board even though the weather wasn’t good the trip and lunch were excellent the overall day was good and well worth the trip

Rainforest, Beach, Rivers and a Gorge!

The best part is always the tour leader and Rowan didn't disappoint! He is very knowledgeable about the area and was very friendly, and inclusive of everyone. The whole trip from the boat on the river to see crocs, a walk on a pristine beach, a delicious lunch at a jungle restaurant, unique ice cream flavours to try, and a swim at Mossman Gorge completed an amazing day. Well worth the time and money! Highly recommended!

Crappy customer services go somewhere with your hard earned money

Super rough waters the day that we went. I mean high tides. I believe they should have canceled it because they were asking people to take seasick pills prior to take off. The waters were rough and way too many ppl in the excursion to really enjoy and take it all in. It was like fishes flapping around on land and constantly getting kicked while on the water. They never came to pick us up for the second tour for the rainforest tour. They told the receptionist they were coming back to pick us up and supposedly called us but that was a lie. Then viator refused to give us a partial refund even though we were at the pick up spot from 6:55 am to 8:02. We called them twice picked up on the second call only to inform us that we missed the bus lol. Crappy customer service and I would not recommend these ppl.

Fenomenal Adventure

The great Barrier reef boat adventure was fenomenal. The team was very organized, professional, entertaining and knowledgeable. The boat was clean the food was plentiful and very good. We had a blast thank you

Highly recommend Great Barrier Reef

Great Barrier Reef was absolutely incredible! Bucket list material and the staff really look after you and make your day special. If you get even a little bit travel sick though would highly recommend taking sea sickness tablets which they provide at a small extra cost on board. Unfortunately due to the recent storms, unlucky weather conditions and high tide the Daintree Rainforest experience didn’t live up to expectations. We didn’t get to see much which was a bit disappointing. However, we did visit some beautiful beaches with lovely view and had really lovely ice cream made with fruit grown locally.

Beautiful location

Our guide Gavin was both very knowledgable and entertaining. The Daintree is such a stunning location and Billy Tea tours made it even better. We'd highly recommend booking this tour.

A great tour of the Daintree Rainforest. Very well done!

Unfortunately the reef tour was cancelled due to the threat of oncoming Cyclone Jasper, but the Rainforest tour did go ahead and it was excellent. Guide Rohan was personable and a great tour guide throughout the day, with informed commentary and an emphasis on keeping things moving. He was awesome. The stops were fun, especially the ice cream and the swimming hole. It was a full 12 hour day, but it was well worth it. Loved every second.

Exceeded Expectations!

The Billy Tea Daintree Rainforest day trip far exceeded our expectations! The tour provided pick-up and drop-off transfers from our hotel which was very convenient. The vehicle itself was very accommodating, with plenty of windows all over the bus to ensure everyone could get good photos during the scenic drives. Our tour guide Graeme was quick to point out interesting plants and animals throughout the day, enriching the experience with fun facts, songs, and a 10/10 dive into Emmogen Creek! We were so thankful for Graeme! We would definitely recommend this day tour for anyone wanting to experience the Daintree. We got the most beautiful nature photos and gained a greater understanding of appreciation for this diverse biome.

A fantastic day out to the Daintree. And the barrier reef.

A very well planned out day.Our guide Mitch was a pleasure to be with on our full day tour to the Cape and Daintree.Kept us entertained and very well informed at every section. Lunch the ice cream stop and afternoon tea was very nice. Highly recommended. We also did the full day barrier reef tour on Evolution as a two part package. Great tour exceptional crew. Daintree Rainforest and Cape Tribulation

Mitch is the best guide, extremely knowledgeable about fauna and flora. The tour was fantastic. We saw many crocodile in the Daintree river. We also saw up close some cassowaries on the rainforest road to Cape tribulation. Moreover Mitch brought us in a park full of wallaby. Strongly recommended!

Rainforest and Great Barrier Reef

The Rainforest day trip with Billy Tea Safaris was fabulous. The van was comfortable and every transfer and portion fantastic. The lunch at Cape Tribulation was very good. All communications with Billy tea were superb. Our day on The Great Barrier Reef was memorable with Down Under Cruise and Dive(DUCD). However communications with DUCD was very poor. We thought the Great Barrier Reef was still part of Billy Tea ToursI We were text the expected arrival time at the Pier but had no idea who was providing our day trip to the Reef. We had to ask around the busy pier until we found our names on a list. We were also not give any information about what to bring. Running shoes really were not necessary but a change of clothes would have been nice. Wearing your bathing suit would have made things easier as changing in the small bathroom was challenging. The experience, once we were on the boat, was fabulous. The young crew did everything to make us feel safe and welcomed. Sea sickness tablets were offered for sale and I’d strongly recommend taking them as the swells could be high.

Do it. You won’t regret it!

This was a very well organized tour set! The first day we went to the Daintree Rainforest with Daniel as our tour guide through Billy Tea Safari. I loved the different ways we experienced the forest from the nature walk, the riverboat tour and the swim in Imogen creek! I never expected to swim in the rainforest! It was so cool! The second day, we stepped aboard the Evolution for the Great Barrier Reef. The crew did a great job of welcoming us and providing us different ways to experience the reef! We even spotted some humpback whales on the way out to the reef sites!! My husband and I were absolutely dumbstruck by the reef and could have spent all day there! We spent about 2 hours at two sites and I loved the differences between the spots they selected. Honestly so glad we did this! It was amazing to get the full Cairns experience!

A fantastic experience

A fantastic experience to explore the reef and the rainforest. It was a lot of driving - I probably expected more walking opportunities, but the tour guide was very knowledgeable and passionate (and quite entertaining too), so the drives were still very informative. The river cruise spotting crocodiles was a highlight. We were impressed with the guides ability to spot some pythons on the trees catching the morning sun too. Spotting a cassowary on our walk was also a big highlight too, as was our dip in Emmagen creek! The rainforest was very lush and beautiful with some incredible views. I expected to see more wildlife/birds than I did, but none the less it was still a fantastic experience. Lunch was DELICIOUS! I recommend the steak at the Beach House. As for the GBR, it was a little unfortunate that it was overcast the whole day and quite windy too. It even rained on the way to the reef. This meant instead of sitting outside enjoying the boat ride we were stuck inside. You have a designated spot to sit when inside for safety reasons - the bottom deck is much nicer than the top one (we were in the top and it smelt mouldy and the air conditioner was leaking). But had the weather been on our side I think it would have been a completely different experience! The staff were all fantastic -friendly and helpful. They had morning tea, and abundant buffet style lunch and cheese and crackers with wine for the ride home - so we were well fed. The reef was very beautiful and we were amazed with the abundance of beautiful fish - such a huge variety. It was quite wavy so we were thankful for the option of lifejackets to help keep bus afloat while we enjoyed the reef. Overall a fantastic couple of days!

Excellent Reef Tour

The Down Under Cruise team were Incredibly organised, fun and helpful and the day out on the reef was just perfect. Lunch was great! Plenty of swim time and the photos are awesome.

A mixed bag

Loved the reef experience, despite the weather. Great crew, cheerful, friendly, safety focussed and clearly care about the reef and the wildlife, making sure everyone knew why it was important not to try to touch anything. Daintree experience was a long day, enjoyed parts of it like the river cruise but the day was spoiled by the guide. A very knowledgeable and passionate guide, could have been great, but being treated like children and lectured ad nauseaum about climate change, slack governments, humans that need to wake up, people that ignore signs and just do what they want, how greenies have been warning govts for years...not once, not twice, but dozens of times! Got very tedious and not really the time and place to air political views. Agree with his points but he didn't need to harp on and on. The scenery was great, we saw a cassowarie at the creek, spotted a couple of crocodiles.

3 Day Reef, kuranda, rainforest. Amazing!

Totally reccomended! All organized! Really good people! It is always nice to know a different plce through the eyes of a local In a group, Which give you the oportunity to meet new people.

12 hours wasted because of tour guide

The Great Barrier Reef trip with Down Under Dive was exceptional and reviewed separately. The 4WD Daintree Trip was RUINED by our tour-guide Yannick who was, for the entire 12 hours RELENTLESS on his microphone whingeing about tourists, caravanners, climate change, political history, running late - completely inappropriate in every way. We were exhausted by the end of the day and absolutely could not wait to get off the bus. This could have been a good tour, but we weren't even afforded a single moment's quiet while trying to enjoy the magic of the magnificent Daintree. He should not be a tour guide. He loves the sound of his own voice and hates tourists generally. A terrible, never to be recommended experience because of the guide. I did write to the company before reviewing publicly because I thought they should have the opportunity to respond/refund/discuss - no care, no responsibility, no customer service. If you still book a tour with this company do yourself a big favour and make sure you know who the tour guide is and cancel if it is Yannick.

Excellent Combination Experience

Great tour the the Daintree with excellent knowledgeable information on wildlife, plants and general knowledge about the history of the region throughout the tour - a little less commentary on other stupid drivers that we encountered, what they did and what they should have done and more emphasis on providing safety of the group and just sucking up the stupidity of other drivers on the road, which we all face from time to time. Definitely passionate about his job and his course which we love! The Outer Barrier Reef tour was wonderful, the weather and the swell conditions were not favourable, but the staff and the service was excellent - Juniors speech left us in stitches and Eddie was always there to assist! All other staff members were accommodating, especially whilst my wife was suffering with sea sickness, along with many other travellers, due to the high swells.

Amazing day - don’t hesitate, just do it!

I had a brilliant day with Gav on his tour to Diantree & Cape Tribulation. Loved every thing about the day. It was long but worth it. Walked, talked, saw amazing animals, laughed & had fun. Swam in a beautiful crisp clear chilly river, walked on pristine beaches, views to die for and the amazing Daintree Rainforest didn’t disappoint. So peaceful & mighty. I highly recommend this tour & I hope Gav keeps up the bad dad jokes & car song trivia on the drive back.

Tolle Ausflüge

Es hat alles sehr gut geklappt. Beide Ausflüge waren wirklich schön. Im Rainforest hat das Wetter leider nicht mitgespielt. Auch auf dem Boot hat es ziemlich geregnet.. unbedingt Regensachen mitnehmen. Durch den Zyklon Jasper Ende 2023 waren auch einige Dinge nicht machbar, da noch an der Wiederherstellung der Straßen gearbeitet wurde. Die schnorcheltour war wirklich toll, trotz der vielen Leute war es gut organisiert und die zwei Spots waren toll. Man muss halt schauen dass man nicht mitten in der Menge schnorchelt, dann hat man sehr gute Chancen eine unglaublich schöne Meereswelt zu erleben.

Émerveillée et déçue

La forêt primaire de Daintree est magnifique mais par contre il est vraiment triste de voir la majorité des coraux morts sur les spots où sont amenés les touristes sur la barrière de corail. Pour quelqu'un qui a des expériences de plongées précédentes, c'est très décevant. Organisation parfaite pour les deux excursions.

Varied tour

Adventurous trip in a large 4WD. Boat trip on the river was great - we saw a lot (crocodiles guaranteed). Driver Hannah was very good and gave lots of information. Boardwalk is only for those who are not jungle experts.
