Sociable wine tour with knowledgable guide in a beautiful region

We( my wife & I) had a very sociable day with a group of 10 on this wine tour of the Margaret River Region. Visited 4 wineries & 1 distillery. Had a great lunch at Black Brewery. Geoff was an extremely good, knowledgeable host for the day & flexible with his finish time at our last drinks(distillery) stop😉

We are a couple in our late 20s and found this wine tour excellent. Geoff was an great tour guide. He was very knowledgeable. He made the experience very enjoyable. All of the wineries he took us to were awesome and at the end he let us decide what we felt more like (chocolate factory or gin distillery). Destinations aside, as a person- Geoff was hilarious and very enjoyable throughout. Couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Thanks Geoff!

A good day out trying some excellent wines

Picked up from our accommodation on time. There were 10 in total on our tour. Our guide, Stuart, was knowledge and courteous. Enjoyed all the wine tastings in these smaller wineries. Before lunch we visited one winery followed by the chocolate shop and then cheese shop. Went for our lunch included which was very nice. After lunch visited 3 more wineries and then the ‘Giniversity’. That was OK but not personally a gin drinker but other drinks and cocktails available. This visit was not included in the tastings so drinks to be paid for. Overall a very nice day with s good crowd of travellers.

We had a fantastic day!! Geoff our guide for the day was lovely, very friendly and knowledgeable about the area!! The 4 wineries were great, lunch was delicious and we finished the day at the chocolate factory! Very enjoyable day and well worth the money! Thanks Geoff! 😃

Top Quality Wine Tour

I contacted the company a few days before our trip and they replied promptly with all the answers to my questions. Geoff picked us up right outside our campsite, which was a treat, as most companies only collect from well known hotels. We were greeted with a smile and Geoff used our first names straight away giving this a really personal experience. We visited 4 wineries, a cheese shop and a chocolate shop on our trip. Lunch was provided at a really top quality restaurant with amazing food! We've been on tours before where we had only sandwiches and crisps. I had octopus and my partner had braised beef. We bought a few bottles of wine which Geoff kindly carried back to the van for us. The mini bus was clean and modern and Geoff provided us with water along the way. I'm really glad we booked through this company as it was a small group, a really personalised experience and the food and drink products were exceptional.

Wonderful, Wonderful!

Kathleen was wonderful. What an interesting guide she is! I would recommend her and this tour to anyone interested in Savannah. You don't have to just be a tourist to enjoy this trip.

Awesome day out

We all had a great day out. Stuart drove us around and gave us all the tips to make the best of our day. We visited 3 different winerys. We had a brilliant lunch and beer at Margaret River Brewhouse too. Just when we thought the day was over we ended up at the Gin distillery 😊

Gin Tasting should be last

Geoff is a vey knowledgeable, considerate tour guide. We visited 2 wineries in the morning, for which the wine at Jarvis Estate was outstanding. We then went to the MR Brew House for lunch which was very nice but I would question why you need such a big lunch if tasting. After lunch we went to a chocolate factory where you seem to have the opportunity to have unlimited samples without any tour. We then went across the road to the West Wind distillery for gin tasting. I can see why he did it in terms of his route but imo spirit tasting (if applicable) should follow wine tasting. The gins were excellent but not everyone wanted to go there and there was confusion when guests were told the tasting fee was not included in the tour price. Finally we went to Redgate where the wine was very good but the staff were keen to close for the day. Overall a very enjoyable wine tour

A Wonderful Wine Tasting Experience at Margaret River

Yesterday, Geoff took us from Busselton to Margaret River for a wine tour. His Ford van was very modern and clean and Geoff was very knowledgeable about the many vineyards and the history of the region. At his suggestion, he took us to Happs Winery for a unique outdoors wine tasting experience! We also went to Aravina, which I would highly recommend. After a wonderful lunch at the Black Brewing Company, we were scheduled to have a wine tasting at Flametree but had to shorten our excursion as we ran out of time and had to get back to our cruise ship. I would highly recommend a day with Geoff and Cellar d'Or.

Relaxed day of wines, chocolate, cheese and banter

We joined an intimate and relaxed group for the day with Jeff our driver. It was full of friendly conversation and local information. The 3 wineries were all quite different followed by a great lunch at the Margaret River Brewery and visit to the Dairy Company and Chocolate Factory. The tour was flexible to suit the needs of the group. We were well looked after all day.

A comprehensive and fun tour of Margaret River

An intimate group tour around some hidden gems in Margaret River. Tour guide Stuart was absolutely delightful, a wealth of local knowledge! Amazing value includes pick up from your accommodation, tastings at 4 wineries and lunch at a great local brewery. Thoroughly recommended!

Relaxing, enjoyable and some beautiful wines. Stuart (guide) was aces!

We had Stuart as our guide. Very knowledgeable... and made the whole day a relaxed and enjoyable experience. Each venue was well chosen and the people charged with assisting with tastings at each one were very friendly, informed, and helpful. Some great wines too. Redgate even offered to send all the wines we purchased at the different venues back by post for us... as long as at least six of them were there's. Very reasonable I thought. All in all, a lovely day spent with lovely people. Thank you Stuart. Peter.

A Gold star experience.

Stuart was an informative and attentive guide for the day. The selection of cellar doors introduced us to authentic MR winemakers and their families. This felt like an intimate encounter with this iconic wine region and its people.

Amazing

We had an incredible day with Stuart as our driver. He was friendly and knowledgeable and took us to some of the best boutique wineries in the Margaret River Region. Our lunch at Woody Nook emery was great and we felt very were welcomed and appreciated at all the wineries we went to. We had an amazing day!

Communication should be a priority not taking our money. We were left behind, never received a phone call or contact. Now its our falt and get no refund

Great day of wine and food with Geoff our tour guide.

Great day of wine and food with our amazing and friendly tour guide Geoff. As we were the only people (2 of us) on the tour Geoff tailored the entire experience to our interests and requests. Wineries visited were Flametree, Happs Estate, Woody Nook where we are a delicious and ample tasting board lunch and shared some of the lovely wine, Montague Estate (huge highlight - a must do!!) and Aravina. Geoff was friendly and informative with local knowledge and obviously well known and respected in the region. Bus comfortable clean and spacious. Great value for money. Highly recommend this tour!

Interestingly fun experience

This tour is definitely suited to wine connoisseurs of the 30+ age group. A bit slow for a group of young adults but we made the most of it and still had a wonderful time. Word of advice! If it’s possible for you to fill a tour by yourself, do it, you never know who will be on the tour with you…

Margaret River in a day

Stuart provided us with a very informative tour of 4 wineries, a brewery, a Gin Distillery, a condiments place and a chocolate shop. The mini bus is clean and very comfortable. Lunch at the Brewhouse was great also.

100/10 - an unforgettable day

We were dropped home 10min ago and couldn’t wait to leave a review. We had about 12 people on our tour. Geoff our driver was amazing, so knowledgeable about the region and wine without being pretentious and a complete joy to spend the day with. The other people on our tour were fab and by the end of it we were laughing all the way home. We visited Evoi, Jarvis Estate, Margaret River Brewhouse for an included lunch of our choice, Brown Hill and Redgate. The people at each cellar door were approachable, friendly and happy to chat about their wine making process and history. Tastings were generous and plentiful. My husband and I have been on dozens of wine tours in the Margaret River region and this is by far the very best. We had an amazing day and it was a great way to celebrate our honeymoon. Thanks to everyone and to Cellar d’Or Wine Tours for being the best of the best. We will be returning for another tour on our next trip down South later this year!

A great day out visiting wineries, thoroughly recommended

We loved the whole experience. We were picked up from our hotel, there were only three of us on the tour. The wineries with visited were excellent and the owners spent time talking about the wine and the grapes used. We had a wonderful sharing platter lunch then also had time to visit a chocolate factory and wine distillery. Geoff our driver and guide was excellent, he gave us a comprehensive history of the area. didn't rush us and was fun to be with. We would thoroughly recommend this trip well worth the money.

Great relaxing and informative tour

Such a wonderful day with our tour guide Stuart who took us to some lovely family run wineries and was happy to accommodate our requests for venues. Highly recommended tour where you are picked up and dopped off and lunch is included in the price which is not the same for most tours.

GREAT DAY OUT

Excellent day touring the Margaret River region with Cellar d'Or which included 5 wineries. All were good and unique in their special way from small family vineyards with interesting histories to large more commercial enterprises offering premium wine tasting. Bought some excellent wine to enjoy at home making our holiday last and remember the different vineyards. Lunch at the Brewery was delicious, excellent brisket and the tour was great value with Stuart as our driver and knowledgeable guide. Thank you for the experience :)

The best

We have just finished an all day wine tour in Margret River. Stuart was our driver for Cellar d'Or. He is an amazing, knowledgeable person in all aspects of wine making and drinking. He really made the day. He chose 3 small wineries, a ginnery, a cheese tasting and lunch at Black Brewing Co. Everything was amazing. He had to stand in and do the wine tasting at the first place, due to unforeseen, and he did a first class job. Stuart is a top class guide and we were blessed having him do our tour. Thank you Stuart.

Great day out

The lady at Jarvis Estate set us up with some knowledge at the start of the tour. We went to some cellar doors we hadn’t been to before & really enjoyed the chat at Brown Hill with Gwen, the owner. Lunch included was at Brewing Co which was a nice place, portions were a good size. The Giniversity was a good spot for those that want to purchase some tastes of different gins, liqueurs or vodkas & they explain how to taste them. Stewart was our driver, he was very nice, informative & helpful, ordering & signing in everywhere for us. We would have liked to have gone to a local produce, but the day was full with the wineries & we had younger groups on board. Great group of girls! Would recommend, but if you are in Dunsborough, maybe find a tour local to there. We love Margaret River, but it is a long day with the travel.

Fantastic wine tour in comfort and great company

Our tour guide Geoff was extremely friendly and really knows his stuff! We had a fantastic day out and enjoyed many wines from a few different places as well as a delicious brew house lunch - finishing off the day with some gin and whiskey tasting. Went back to our hotel very satisfied and would highly recommend this tour 😊🏆
