Great Whale Experience

Excellent 2 hour experience. Professional friendly staff onboard clean and well equipped boat. We were lucky and saw whales and dolphins within the first 5 minutes. Great commentary and whale spotting the whole trip. Would definitely recommend this tour.

Amazing experience!

Very impressive! I was so amazed by the beauty of those gentle giants. We saw them quite up close. It was great, we were the only boat out there (not like many other whale watching tours where you have 10 boats around 1 whale). Very respectful. Great crew and commentary. Would 100% recommend! Breaching Humpbacks

Breaching Humpbacks are an amazing sight to see. Nature tours can be fickle at times but the three tours I have done so far with Naturaliste Charters has been insane to say the least. The best part besides the whales themselves is the crew on board that take care of all the passengers. They are only to happy to help out with answering questions attending to people who may be seasick or simply pumping up the crowd when the whales are in the vicinity of the boat. Have done a few trips with Naturaliste Charters and they have been 5 out of 5 stars everytime. I will be back again and highly recommend this crew.

Awesome experience

The weather wasn’t great but thanks to the crew we still had a great time. They really did their best to make sure we had a great experience and we did! Spotted humpback whales and 2 green turtles! Thanks team!

Tours

A great experience never to be missed. The sightings so close to you to view. Great helpful, relaxed ,happy " staff". Go out of their way for you , and answering any questions. We will do it again next year with no hesitation.

This is the highlight of our trip. Strongly recommend. The skipper and crew are very experienced. the catamaran is in great condition.

See the whales

Had a great couple of hours just off the coast of Augusta looking for whales. The boat was great with plenty of vantage points. The crew were knowledgeable. Managed to spot some humpbacks and we got a pretty good view while not encroaching on their space.

Last cruise, few whales

Whilst the boat and crew were terrific. No complaints there. But I learnt that this was the last cruise if the season out of Augusta. So the booking office obviously knew whale numbers would be limited. In fact I asked about the number of whales to be seen at this time of the season and I was assured there would be plenty of whales to be seen. We saw one pair, obviously stragglers. We could have taken the tour from Dunsborough just as easily if I had known. A little disappointed. The whales were heading north

Excellent time!

We went whale watching towards the end of July and it was excellent! The crew members were so friendly and knowledgeable and the charter boat was great! Plenty of space and places to lookout for wildlife. We were lucky to have two whales breach, a few tail flips and plenty of dorsal fins and blowhole spouts, plus a a very friendly pod of common dolphins, including a baby which was beyond adorable! Would definitely go on this tour again! Highly recommend!! :D

Awesome service

Excellent crew. Knowlegable and very friendly. Took a very senior lady with me (94) and the service and attention was awesome. She was so excited. Well done.

Well worth the trip!

Pia was an amazing host and the rest of the crew too. We saw 5/6 whales and calves too. The crew were very attentive to the needs of their passengers and looked after me when I felt unwell.

An Excellent Morning

We had an excellent morning on Alison Maree with an excellent skipper and crew. We encountered Humpbacks as soon as we left the boat harbour and enjoyed a morning full of activity including competition pods. The dolphins also made an exciting appearance. The crew were knowledgable, friendly and always available for questions. I would recommend this company for any of the tours and fully intend to book the Orca trip.

A GREAT MORNING OUT

Whilst most of the whales were having a day off due to the very calm conditions, we did come across a few which made the day quite interesting. Full credit to the staff on this boat (Alison Maree) as they were all professional informative and interactive. I spent some time up in the wheelhouse with the skipper and he seemed genuinely interested in what you did and where you came from . The boat itself was extremely comfortable with plenty of viewing opportunities for everyone. We had a nice fine day however if the weather was a bit blowey then there was plenty of seating for everyone inside. We will definetly be back in Augusta and repeat the cruise.

Magnificent mammals

We had a great morning on board the Alison Maree on Friday and were lucky to have a sunny day. The staff and crew were friendly, professional and knowledgeable. We saw a number of whales, despite not getting quite close enough for that perfect photo opportunity. Thank you for the experience. My husband and I were glad we went.

A perfect day

Fantastic down to earth friendly crew and a great morning on the "Alison Maree" . We saw some amazing competition pods and breaches with some bonus dolphin surfing to boot. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone considering it.

Best Whale Whisperers

Laid back crew but really knowledgeable & informative. Attentive to passengers. Brought blankets to my 93 yo mother in law. Chased humpbacks all afternoon to give everyone a fantastic experience. Best Whale Whisperers keep up the great work.

Whales, more whales, seabirds, and other wildlife

I joined the "Alison Maree" and her crew for the morning tours of Friday 11 and Saturday 12 June 2021. Two completely and contrasting days in terms of Humpback Whale activity and weather. Friday was cloudy, a bit breezy and had some light rain. The whales were in abundance but were very cruisy with little breaching, flipper or tail slapping. We had some very close encounters whilst stationary, where a couple of Humpies came up to the boat to check out the humans. The weather seemed to suit the seabirds with Indian Yellow-nosed Albatross, Gannets, Wilson's Storm Petrels and others in attendance. On leaving the tour, I flippantly asked the Skipper (Dundee) to order some breaching whales for Saturday morning. He delivered... Saturday was sunny with Flinders Bay very calm. The Whale activity was noticeably different to the day before. There were at least two or three competition pods about with fin and tail slaps plus multiple breaches. We saw fewer seabirds (mostly Gannets) but had some dolphin surfing the bow wave and wake on a couple of occasions. So, two tours that were very different but equally satisfying to a die-hard whale junky.

Day to remember

We had amazing day on the Naturaliste whale watching tour with knowledgeable and friendly staff making sure we never missed a whale sighting. We saw breaching, tail slapping, fin slapping and whales just cruising along. Highly recommend the team, boat and all round experience from beginning to end.

A great morning out on the ocean

What a fantastic few hours. The crew, Dundee (skipper), Pia (naturalist) and Kane ( deckie) were amazing. Their knowledge and enthusiasm was impressive. We saw lots of whales, dolphins and a few sea birds. The boat was spotless and the freedom to wonder around the decks and bridge made the trip even better. Sitting in the bridge with Dundee was really fun. His love and passion for the whales and wildlife was outstanding. I recommend the trip. Watching the whales from the boat was so much better than watching them from the beach....

A must do trip especially if you are a local

What a fantastic trip. Whilst we were warned that we were at the start of the season and there may not be much action, we had a a great day and saw saw fantastic close up whales. The crew were superb and helped make the day really special. As locals we had not bothered with a trip before but this is a "must do" for everyone.

A great tour

Our family really enjoyed the whale watching tour with Naturaliste Tours. Despite it being a rainy/windy day and not peak season, we saw a ton of Humpbacks (and dolphins). The crew was very knowledgable (Jacko) and friendly. We took our 3 year old son and he had fun and napped for the second half. Highly recommend.

very enjoyable

we liked the boat. the fact you could wander all around it and even sit next next to the skipper, in the chair next to him . tea and coffee and even baby change facilities in the toilet ! we enjoyed all the scenery from the boat. we did see whales and the lady marine biologist on board answered all our questions. it was a really nice day out.

Flinders Bay Whale watching

Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Well organised with perfect timing weather-wise. Humpbacks aplenty with lots of close by breaches, fin waves and tail slaps. Local Flinders Bay dolphin contingent giving the 'visitors' (humpbacks) the human tour alongside and beneath our charter boat. Awesome commentary by the skipper!!!! Thanks for a great experience.

Friendly crew and great experience

Excellent communication from the friendly Pia after I stuffed up my booking date and needed to change it. The tour itself was great and the whole crew were super friendly. You can never predict how the whales and other animals are going to be on the day, so after several humpback sightings I felt we’d got a good tour. Then we got dolphins, albatrosses and even a full on breach. Excellent value overall and would definitely recommend.

Just Do It!

What a wonderful experience! We were impressed with the efficient handling, the knowledge and relaxed attitude of the staff. All questions were answered clearly and any instructions carefully explained. The boat was very comfortable with plenty of room for viewing and social distancing. Facilities were plentiful and clean. We spend over 2 and a half hours in and around Flinders Bay and saw many whales. Well worth doing. We were so impressed we are going to do this again with this company further up the coast.

A Credit to WA Tourism....Not to Be Missed

A group of 11 of us went whale watching on Saturday morning and had an absolute blast. The Staff were exceptional. The care they took of the ill passengers was first class. The Skipper was amazing and our Grandchildren were super well looked after being lucky enough to sit in the Bridge and help spot whales. The crew have in depth knowledge off the whales and have given all locals names. Lovely trip and will fully recommend to anyone whom is considering this charter. PS Please take some sea sick tables so you don't end up like some many unfortunate people on our trip

Whale watching

Great afternoon spent watching the Humpbacks. The staff were very friendly and informative about the whales. We tracked a female and a few males following her going through the courting process and saw a mother and calf.

Awesome whale watching in Flinders Bay

We got to see so many whales. Both guides were very informative and we stayed out for an extra hour to see a whale pod. Highly recommended. Boat also big enough to be warm indoors.

Best experience

My daughter and I had the best time on this tour. The 3 guys on the boat were very knowledgeable about everything to do with whales and made our tour so much fun. We seen so many whales. The skipper took us all over so we could see as many as possible. I highly recommend this tour.

Fabulous

We went out today and had a great time got to see a few whales. The weather wasn't the best and we found out that all 3 of our kids get sea sick 😣but ya get that. All the crew where so friendly and easy to talk too. Would definitely go again! 😁

My husband and I had a great time today.We saw lots of whales , a dolphin came right along side the boat and gannets. A big thank u to the guys on the boat for all their valuable knoweldge on the whales and for making us feel very welcomed. Super whale sightings

Great tour. Friendly operators. Very knowledgeable !!! I would definitely recommend it to anybody who wants to have a good time especially for families.

Loads of whales

Plenty of whales to be seen plus a few dolphin and some seabirds (including the fairly tame Pacific Gull) The skipper's (Paul, today) always know their stuff. The on-board staff are great at spotting and predicting where whales are likely to be. Highly recommended, think twice before considering other Charters.

Whale watching in Augusta W.A.

We had a fantastic two and a half hours onboard a great vessel vary stable and well equipped. The crew were great they explained everything that was happening and told stories about things they had seen. We stayed out for an extra half hour because we saw more whales as we were heading in.

Wonderful Experience

What an amazing first time experience, we were lucky enough to see quite a few whales. The staff were great and were very informative. We would definitely recommend anyone wanting the experience of seeing these wonderful creatures at their best to go ahead and book it.

Bucket List Worthy

My partner and I did this yesterday afternoon. Not only were the humpback whales out to play in the glorious winter sun, but a pod of dolphins also decided to drop by the boat and say hello. Pia, Brodie and Dundee were very informative, engaging and obviously passionate about whale conservation, research and awareness. It was one of the best things we’ve ever done and would do it again in a heartbeat. I couldn’t recommend this high enough.

ALL ROUND WONDERFUL

We saw some beautiful whales today on Naturaliste. The staff were amazing and having a wonderful Marine Scientist on board with so much knowledge really made the trip the complete package. Thank you so much for the day - we will be back!
