Fantastic tour of local vegan food!

My husband and I really enjoyed this tour. We met at a central location in the city and used public transportation to travel to each spot. There is just so much food - it was our dinner and next day's breakfast too! Edith made sure to point out vegan signage at the entrance of each restaurant. We stopped by a bakery (the Mediterranean pastry was delicious), then to a restaurant that makes its own seitan for the paprikas, over to get bean gulyas, and finally chimney cakes (we got one with ice cream and one with pistachio cream). ***For the paprikas, ask for the spicy paste (erős pista) - it makes all the difference and really elevates the dish. The gulyas too is better with the addition of spice and was my favorite thing we ate. Edith is a delightful, knowledgeable guide! Thank you for the enjoyable tour!

Amazing vegan food tour!

Edith was such a wonderful tour guide. Not only did we sample some amazing vegan meals, she had so much knowledge about the history of Hungary. We learned a lot! I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to eat delicious vegan food and learn amore about Hungary.

Perfectly delicious first day

We did the vegan food tour with Edith on the first day we arrived in Budapest, and besides going to 4 different food establishments, Edith also pointed out and provided interesting information on historical landmarks throughout the city as we passed them by. And she showed us how to buy tickets for the train. We had goulash, paprikash, pastries, and chimney cake. It was a perfectly delicious first day in Budapest. Edith is friendly and easy to talk to, you can tell she is passionate about her city. She is very responsive, and we were able to spot each other right away. Great experience

The tour was great! The guide makes sure that there aren't a lot of people together. So it feels quite private and familiar. I really recommend it.

Edith our tour guide was amazing, friendly and full of knowledge. We both had a lovely time trying different local food. The food was tastefull and plentiful. Edith was knowledgeable on other vegan restaurant to try on our stay. Would highly recommend.

Great tour!

The vegan local food we got to try tasted great. Edith is a very friendly and helpful guide. She didn't just give us much information on the food but also told us about interesting aspects of Hungarian culture, history, and other aspects. All four dishes (bakery, paprikash, goulash, chimney cake) are included in the price of 40€ per person.

I really enjoyed this vegan food tour with Edith. The other person didn't show up, so I ended up getting a private tour. We went to four different places. I was expecting smaller portions/tasting sizes, so was pleasantly surprised when it was full portions! Edith had said to come hungry, and fortunately, I did! The first place was a pastry shop, and we got it to go. Not sure if they stop and eat there when there are more people. Then we went and got my favorite dish of the tour--Paprikash Stew. After that, we went to try Vegan Goulash, and for dessert, Chimney Cake! I had been seeing that around the city, so was excited to try it. Everything was delicious. Edith herself is quick to answer messages and any questions. She was very welcoming, and it was cool to hear about her background as a vegan chef and her passion for veganism. We did a combo of walking to different places as well as riding the metro, so I got to see other parts of the city that I hadn't seen yet. My only regret is that I did this on my last day. I suggest doing it earlier in your trip so you can get recommendations on other vegan places, or if there is something you really like, you can go back and get again! :)

AMAZING VEGAN FOOD TOUR!!

Absolutely loved the food tour led by Edith. It was fantastic to be able to eat the local cuisine being vegan. Edith was great company and really helpful giving us information about the area. She also showed us how to get tickets for the tram and validate them. I would highly recommend this tour. Also there is soooo much food included so she means it when she says come with an empty stomach!! We wouldn't change a thing about it.
