Great food tour choice

We loved touring with Zoltan! His extensive knowledge of the area and ability to answer all our questions made the experience truly enriching. The food was incredible, with each selection being outstanding. Choosing the Obuda tour was a great decision; we enjoyed seeing fascinating sights like the Roman ruins.

Best food tour we’ve taken.

Most fun tour we’ve ever been on and we’ve been on plenty! Zoltan was extremely personable and knowledgeable about history, food, and culture, especially since he is from the area. Accommodating as well - with food restrictions without sacrificing authenticity. Every selection at each stop tasted amazing and will definitely be revisited in the future. The tour wasn’t in a touristy area and had beautiful sights in addition to the delicious food. Again, Zoltan is one of (if not the) coolest and most well traveled people we’ve ever met. The food and cultural enrichment is more than worth the time and money but Zoltan really triples the value. Definitely make time for this tour on your trip!

Amazing afternoon in Òbuda

It was an amazing experience, our guide Zoltan knows pretty much all Obuda zone, we really enjoy the kindly expression on each restaurant it’s make us feel in our city. We never imagine all these special preparations of food really the “HUNG” people it’s rich in gastronomy. It’s a different and delicious way to discover a city because each plates has his own history.

Zoltan was an amazing guide with tons of local knowledge. The food was incredibly too - very authentic Hungarian food. If you want to get a real sense of Budapest, away from other tourists, then this is the tour for you 😊

Amazing Secret food tour Obuda

Our secret food tour of Obuda was a great experience Zolton our guide was wonderful and extremely passionate about the tour. We visited quite few places including a butcher where we tried the local Hungarian fare and restaurants where we enjoyed food and Hungarian wines. We also went to an ancient Roman Ampitheatre along our walk Thank you for a special taste of Hungary Zolton

Adriana deserves a 5 rating...the food tour does not.

As a food tour, it was a miss. The operators seem to have chosen the food venue stops for other considerations than good food, ambience or uniqueness. Nothing secret about it. I did not understand why the tour would start with strudel which was nothing special. The langos was the most interesting part but the venue was not prepared for us and put us at a table outside in the glaring heat of the sun. Then we visited a restaurant where we were invited to upgrade the wine experience for HUF6000 which was fine. The wine was not. If the Hungarian goulash this venue served is an example of good goulash, then I can say that Campbell's vegetable beef out of a can can compete. The final stop was a choice of potato casserole or a mushroom dish with a flour dumpling. OK but as part of a "food tour", it was not remarkable. The saving grace and why this tour gets a 4 rating is Adriana. She worked hard and did a great job of being positive with personal anecdotes and genuine interest in her guests. She interspersed the food tour with a bit of sightseeing and good information about the landmarks. Adriana deserves 5 stars. The tour itself needs a review by its operators.

Fantastic authentic tour, with Zoltan

Great tour of Obuda with the interesting and always entertaining Zoltan. A culinary feast of local Hungarian cuisine matched with plenty of wine and Palinka! Highly recommend this tour to get an authentic view of the city.

Wonderful tour of Obuda with Zoltan

We booked a private tour in Obuda. Four of us took this tour. Just on the outskirts of Budapest, Obuda was a great place to visit. We ate in authentic restaurants frequented by locals, got to learn about the local history & culture & even visited a roman coliseum as we walked through the neighbourhood with Zoltan. Very impressed with our guide, Zoltan. Engaging & knowledgeable. Made for a very memorable afternoon.
