Budapest to Szentendre bike & boat tour

Excellent bike path tour!

The tour was excellent and all that I hoped it would be. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The tour took us on a great bike path from Budapest to Szentendre with excellent sights and history knowledge along the way.

Living a dream: biking on the Danube to Szentendre

We had a perfect day biking with our tour guide, Ákosh.We biked around Margaret Island and less-well known Obodu before following along the Danube to beautiful Szentendre, a little artist colony on the Danube Bend. The pacing of our tour was great, with several photo stops, a drink at a little cafe overlooking the river, and a short guided walking tour of Szentendre. Ákosh is very knowledgeable about Hungarian history and gave us a great overview of the developments in the town. The tour also included a fabulous lunch of lángos, Hungarian street food, and we had time to browse the galleries and shops. We returned to Budapest on a boat. It was better than we could have hoped. Highly recommended.

the amazing 8 hour tour

We came to the tour 3 people: me, sister and my mother. We had so much FUN !!! The view were amazing, Akosh - the tour guide were excellent, we enjoyed the environment and the people ! We defiantly recommend this tour!

Best way to see city and get off your feet or the bus.

My wife and teenage son did the Szentendre tour. It was beautiful day , great to go see Margit Island, the village of Szentendre is magical. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and spoke great English . We loved being outside of the city and off our walking feet for the day. The boat ride back is a wonderfully to see both Buda and Pest from unique perspective.

Great trip to Szentendre thanx to Anna K !

Very recommended trip to the beautiful village Szentendre, 25 km but very easy, even for not very experienced bike drivers, Anna K was our guide and she did a great job! Telling us about the enviroment and living in Hungary nowadays, A great oppurtunity to escape the busy city and breath some fresh air, while enjoying the beautiful countryside and Szentendre! Thanx Anna !

Lazlo was an amazing guide!

We loved everything about this bike tour. The bikes were good quality, the places we visited were interesting, and Szentendre was a beautifully quaint river town. The best part of the experience, though, was our guide Lazlo. He answered all our questions and was full of information about Budapest and it’s history. Thank you for a great day with our family!!

Nature at its Best

Like i said Nature at its best. We started with cycling around the city where the tour guide stops in several places and explains about the history about the City - She was very interactive and engaging, in fact gave away beautifu post cards for anyone who could guess the right answers...we cycled our way to Szentendre by the beautiful river and through the forest. The place itself was so amazing with great architecture. We had local food - Lángos (have to try) and a walk through the holiday village where the tour guide explains the history and takes you to visit a few Church. A special mention to our tour guide Sarah, she was really amazing and made this trip even better, always looked out for everyone in the group and kept checking if everyone was alright... Thank you Sarah.

Refreshing Trip outside of City Confines

We did the bike ride to Szentendre which was a full day with Anna. She is vibrant and very fit . This trip went from 10 am -6pm covering almost 18 miles by bike . We left the city , biked along the danube, past Margaret Island to Obudai village and then on to Szentendre . It was stunning but not for the unfit ! The 5 adults were in their 50's and the kids were in their 20's.It was a rough road but worth so many pretty views . We stopped at a cute River area with cafes for a short drink and then kept going . Lunch was in Szentendre and we had about 3 hours there- you can opt for a 45 min walking tour or just chill . The trip back from Szentendre was via a relaxing boat ride . A great way to end a trip to Budapest .

Oliver’s Army

A must do when you’re in Budapest! Our party of 6 had a fabulous day out with Kit Harrington look alike Oliver! Nice bikes too! Also met a wonderful Canadian couple. Highly recommended!!

Well worth doing!!!!

Highly recommend doing this tour our guide Anna did an amazing job of getting us around the city and out of the city on our bikes. She had a wide range of knowledge on the Hugrian culture and it was really good to see things outside of the city. It was an easy ride with plenty of stops where Anna gave us the history of the city. Absolutely loved our day on the tour

Great ride with some history.

We did this and really enjoyed it. You ride a bit on the streets and make some stops in Budapest and then you head out toward Szentendre. Riding through Margaret Island was really nice. What I liked was that you were able to get out of the city. There are some trails that you ride along the river that have some ruts and then the paved path is in poor condition. So be prepared, your behind may be sore the next day! The bikes were of pretty good quality as well. I did a bike tour a few days later in Prague and those bikes were definitely lower quality. So be thankful for what this company has. Our guide was Oliver. He was really personable and we were a group of 4, plus Oliver, so it worked really well that we could all chat and interact. The only minor complaint/feedback would be that they could be a bit better prepared. The normal stop for the drink along the way was closed, so we had to backtrack and locate another place. This is something that I guess I would've assumed the company checked on before heading out. I understand it is early in the season but you would think they would know and prepare. The boat ride back was shorter than the stated time as well. That was nice and a different perspective of the buildings and city.

Excellent day on the bikes

This was a wonderful cycle ride along the side of the Danube to Szentendre. Both our guides were very friendly, had good local knowledge and were able to answer any questions. Szentendre itself is pretty and after the guided walk around the place you have plenty of time to look around on your own. The trip back on the boat was really busy with people and it was difficult to get a seat. I would deinately recommend this trip to others. Thank you!

A good day excursion from Budapest by bike and boat

Joined this bike tour after reading reviews. Communication with the company was excellent prior to the tour. Enjoyed the fairly gentle 2 hr cycle out of Budapest , through Margaret Island (which was itself very worth seeing) and along the coast. The bikes were in good condition, with front suspension and comfortable to ride. Akos the guide gave us a lot of interesting historical and cultural information along the way so it was more than just an enjoyable cycle ride and when we arrived at Szentendre took us all round the town and not just the main streets frequented by most of the day trippers, as well as treating us to a tasty traditional snack in a back street café garden for lunch. The journey back on the boat was relaxing with beautiful views of the waterside nb the Parliament Building as the boat arrived back at Budapest All in all , a very enjoyable day and i would recommend the service this company provide.
