Budapest Street Food Tour with Hungarian Snacks Dessert and Beer

Absolutely delightful

We had a lovely time with our tour guide Bianka as we walked through the street trying traditional Hungarian delights , Langos, chimney cake, sausages and of course Strudel all delicious and generous portions. We could not have asked for a better tour and we were so full and couldn’t eat another thing. Highly recommend this tour

Fantastic afternoon!

Scheduled a solo tour while visiting Budapest. Eliz was our guide and she was amazing. I am originally from Budapest but she educated me on my own culture! Was a fantastic way to spend the afternoon!

Good Company, Good Food & Drink

Great food & excellent guide, Fanni introduced us to some hidden gems only someone who knows the city well could find. The street food included Langos, Hungarian sausages paired with wine or beer (soft drinks if you prefer) a wonderful strudel cafe, where we watched the staff prepare fresh strudel (they don't mind if you take photos whilst they work), we finished with excellent funnel cakes. A good tour which lasted 3hrs of a gentle walk over level ground. Fanni was excellent company. Would highly recommend this tour. Thank-you for a memorable experience.

Had a wonderful Food Tour. Leslie did a great job of blending the history of Budapest with introducing us to some great new food experiences!

Good lángos and sausage!

We ended up having a private tour and our tour included two savory and two sweet dishes. From the description I expected to have all savory dishes or at least the majority savory and one sweet. The lángos and sausage were really good. Unfortunately we had already been to The Original Strudel House that day, but we felt if we told our guide this she would be at a loss for where to go instead. I had really looked forward to trying my first Chimney cake and was very disappointed. The cinnamon one had an overpowering lemon flavor to it and I was hoping to have vanilla ice cream in it ( yes it know that’s non-traditional), but they only had “unique” flavors. I felt the chimney cake place was very touristy and thought maybe if we’d gone to a local street vendor the chimney cake may have been better. Our tour guide was nice, but not as good as others we’ve had. Overall the tour was just okay.

Making a Friend on your Food Tour

Ferenc- was fantastic guide!! He was great at sharing history and involving everyone in our family. Conversations was continous and just made you feel super comfortable. Totally would recommend this tour and guide.

Great way to spend an afternoon

Great conversation and insight on traditional foods. We tried some amazing sausages and learned a lot about Hungary and its traditions.

Had a great tour with Lazlos Very interesting Tour and Lazlos was a fantastic guide However for the price we have paid it seems poor value for money with regards to the food offered. There was nothing wrong with the food at all however the price does not give value for money

WONDERFUL tour!! Get to know the "real" Budapest

We wanted to get to know the "real" Budapest, not the tourist version. What better way to get to know Budapest than through food and drink! Our tour guide was Ferenc, and he was amazing, easy to talk to and very knowledgeable! We went to 4 locations and sampled the most amazing food! Loved every minute of this tour with Ferenc! We left the tour happy and full!

Lazslo took me to eat some of the traditional foods of Budapest. Lagos, Cabbage Strudel, Chimney Cake. All yummy. He also told me some of the history of the places we went.

Street Food Tour with Norbert A++++

My husband and I took did the Budapest Street Food tour. Norbert was our guide and he was terrific! He was personable and knowledgeable and gave us a number of recommendations for additional restaurants, bakeries and ruin bars to try. Highly recommend this tour!

Terrific food tour!

This was a terrific food tour. Lots of delicious food - definitely come hungry! There were a number of stops for all kinds of food and the quantity and quality were top notch. Our guide was friendly and extremely knowledgable about the city. I would highly recommend this tour. It was a wonderful way to see the city and try out the local favorites.

Fun way to explore local cuisine

Really great way to learn about the local food and what to order when you go out. Menus are almost always in English, but it’s great to learn!

We really enjoyed this tour! Our guide, Fanni, was just a pleasure, very knowledgeable of the history of Budapest, and spoke perfect English. The food was all local favorites, nothing fancy, but really tasty. It was fun and I would recommend it!

It's simply wonderful.

Norbert was our guide, and he was fantastic. Extremely knowledgeable, kind, patient, and good fun. We had so much food! Much more than when we done a tour in Belfast. I would highly recommend this tour. When in Budapest!!!

Could have been better.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and personable. My recommendation (and that of my fellow travelers) was the tour could have been improved with more tasting stops with a smaller amount of food at each place. Four stops in 3 hours made for more of a city tour than a food tour.

Highly recommend and do come hungry!

One of the BEST food tours we've ever had! Our guide, Rebekah, took us to eateries locals would visit. Learning about the hosting of the particulate foods and how they are prepared. It's interesting to learn about the countries and cultures that had influenced Hungarian cuisine. Note: our food tour was very carb heavy (due to their diet). A couple of stops were already on our list of places to try and we were happy Rebekah took us there for an in-depth food insight.

Fun, informative, yummy

Rebekah was very informative and a fun guide through this tour. Our group worked well together also which made in even more enjoyable. We learned history, culture and of course information about traditional foods. Would highly recommend this to others. Well done

Food fun

We had a wonderful tour with Norbert who took us to some unique places and he provided many antidotes on Hungarian culture. The food we tasted was delicious and we finished with a full stomach. This is a fun tour to see a different side of Budapest

Fantastic Food Experience

The foods were amazing. We always enjoy trying local food, and this was no different. Emese was patient and provided a lot of history and knowledge of the locations. We want to do it again.

Highly Recommend for the Culture and Cuisine

Highly recommend to anyone traveling to Budapest to help experience the Hungary culture and cuisine. My husband and I just had a tour for our honeymoon and it was a great experience overall! While walking between food locations, my husband got to discuss history and culture with the tour guide and I got to try and learn the background on many new foods I wouldn't have thought about trying previously. The Langos and strudel shops were definitely highlights for me! Would recommend to everyone!! Also, we got some great brewery recommendations along the way that we got to try out later on that evening.

Filling up on Hungarian food.

This was a wonderful food tour. Everything went according to plan. The timings were prompt and we got onto the eating almost straight away. Greg, our guide, was knowledgeable about every topic, from the food of Hungary to the politics of how modern day Hungary was founded. We certainly had enough food to eat of this tour and left with an accurate taste of Hungary. Thanks Greg. You were brilliant.

The strudel and the làngos was very good. The sausage was ok but would have preferred bread on the side

Fannie was a fun, interesting and very informative guide. We enjoyed experiencing the street food and seeing areas of Budapest that we did not see on previous visits.

very polite and friendly guide, the last local snack dessert was my favorite. I will not say what not to spoil the surprise. we were just two and the guide, so we could have a long conversation on local hungarian matters and foods traditions , making comparisons with other countries, very interesting.

Great food, choices and tour guide

Our family always tries to take a food tour during our travels as we have found that they provide an opportunity to get a personalized view of the city from your guide while eating. Our guide, Fanni, was excellent. She was personable, telling us about herself, why we were where we were, the history of the food, and the establishments. All the food was excellent and abundant. Based on my previous experience with food tours, choices are usually limited if there is even a choice; however, on this tour Fanni gave us options. In addition, we had large portions and beverages. A great surprise. A great experience - hopefully you get Fanni as your tour guide. Enjoy a Langosh.

Fun and tasty experience

Good time with Georgia. She took us to three places with fresh and native foods of Budapest and explained them and their origins. We would not have know about these foods otherwise. Also provided interesting information on the country and culture . Lovely young lady-we enjoyed our time with her!

A great time - Come hungry!

We had a great time on our food tour of Budapest! Our guide was very knowledgeable and told us about many aspects of Hungarian life and culture. We ate at 4 different places - and also were able to stop in to others that aren't part of the normal tour. I am vegetarian and our guide went out of her way to make sure I was able to get alternatives where necessary. We had so much fun!

Our guide, Rebecca, was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable and personable. We went on a walking, sightseeing, food tour of Budapest. She explained the history and architecture of the buildings and statues we passed by, as well as the food we ate. She answered our many questions about the food and Budapest and Hungary. Fantastic afternoon

Absolutely brilliant tour. Our small group tour was a private tour with just my husband and I. Fani, our guide was amazing. You need to go on this tour hungry as there is so much food. It's a lovely way to spend an afternoon. Fani also gave us details on which Ruin Bar to go to after the tour. We would never have found it on our own and it was not to be missed. Great tour with great guide.

Great food and informative local guide

As the only two people on this tour we were spoilt with the opportunity to learn as much as possible about Budapest from our local guide, Norbert. He was a well informed and interesting guide who taught us a lot about the history of Hungary and the lifestyle of Its people. The foods we tried were delicious - fresh and exciting and a great way to learn about the city. This was an easy walk, we didn’t have to fight crowds and we came away with lots of tips for other places to visit. Thanks for such a great initiation to your beautiful city, Norbert - it’s now on our list to visit again. And our belies are full.

My guide was very nice and personable. I was very full afterwards. Remember to come with empty stomack! Great way to taste the local food!
