Unclear cimmunications

Very unclear messages regarding meet time and actual sail time on a Danube river cruise. I am finished with Trip Advisor for keeps.

Worthwhile tour for the money

A nice big boat. Non-alcoholic drink was orange juice. Great sights of the city and a fantastic way to start a holiday. Was a Little chilly but no faults otherwise, just means you should bring a jacket. No audio tour so you’ll have to pull up Wikipedia. For £8 each I would recommend this.

Amazing View!

Seeing the Budha Castle at night, with a glass off good hungarian wine. Ir was a really good experience.

Nice but could have easily been better.

Boat tour was as advertised. I do wish the boat captain moved or changed speeds so we weren't parallel to other boats as we came to the major sites. That was a bummer. I would do it again, and the nighttime was beautiful. Just make sure that if you go late, you have public transportation options as the metro and bus close earlier depending on your route.

Romantic 50min cruise to see glorious lights of Budapest.

Very comfortable vessel. We sat at the stern to get uninterrupted views of the lights of Budapest. In early June, sunset was about 830pm and lights came on at 9pm. So I suggest the 845pm or 10pm cruise in summer. Welcome drink of Prosecco was nice. Or non alcoholic fruit punch. No commentary however.

Just okay.

Meh. The dock is quite far from the center so figure on a $10 taxi fare each way. Explains the lower cost of this boat ride. No tour or audio explanation. Just a ride up and down the river. Left 15 minutes late. Free drink is 5% alcohol wine.

Relaxing 50min cruise taking in the best sights of Budapest.

Lovely way to see the city from the river. Recommend 845pm in June as lights come on at 9pm. Dock 42 is a long way from centre of city so need a Bolt taxi if staying near Chain Bridge. But the advantage of Dock 42 is the full length of the river from north to south. Welcome drink was also nice.

Waste of money

Waste of money! There was no commentary so it was impossible to tell what the buildings were without opening Google maps and spending half the time looking at a screen

Phenomenal

We had a great time on the tour. I recommend booking the 8:45pm tour, as that is when the sun is setting and by the time the tour has finished, it is dark and the buildings are all lit up. Such a good price (£9 each) and a must do in Budapest.

Beautiful Danube river cruise

Great boat trip up the Danube River some beautiful sites to see we had to meet at dock42 which was very easy to find but a bit of a free for all with people who have no manners and don’t understand queuing, maybe if there was a barrier system where people had to queue behind it would make a more pleasant experience The boat trip it’s self was a great evening

Good views but experience not great.

Cruise was pretty packed with tourists, very no frills experience. Sat on a bench at the back of the top deck with a good view which just resulted in other tourists leaning over to take photos and selfies with no regard for my personal space. Do not go if you don't like small spaces.

Leisurely cruise; wine or fruit punch to drink; no information, just looking at the sights. A little far out to get to the boat, but overall a nice time.

Amazing views, nice glass of wine and comfortable. Great spot to see the sights of Budapest and take pictures

Lovely river trip

Lovely way to see the buildings along the river and was topped by having beautiful weather. However a guide, even a recorded one would have been better so that we knew what we were looking at

Great experience in Budapest.

Great experience in an hour and half. From the boat you'll see the two parts of the city...Buda the old one and Pest the new one. A board you'll enjoy beer, wine, champagne or soft drinks. Most of the people do this trip in the night, but I recommend it in the late afternoon.

The trip was great but...

The trip was great but the wine was not so good 😄😄 Also the windows were dirty. Still would recommend.

No tour

Was expecting a narration of what we were looking at not too clean but beautiful view. Would recommend

Not what I expected

No audio as it said on the booking. I was looking forward to learning about the history on what I was looking at. The prosecco welcome drink was undrinkable.

Nice views of the river!

Easy to find with directions provided. Most of the seats are inside. Great views along the river. Welcome glass of wine provided.

Relaxing Cruise

The trip as so relaxing ,,, the viewes were pretty good from different spots ,,, also very kind staff ,,, i would recommand it for sure

Good experience in January. Wrap up warm for the cold wind if you stand outside. Nice overview of monuments.

Poorly managed!!

I’m rating my “experience” as asked. There were at least 30 students (age 17-20) who all pushed in-front of us when we were queuing to get on. The young man who was part of the boat tour just let everyone pile on without checking anyone’s tickets (probably feeling overwhelmed by the hoard of rowdy students). Unsurprisingly the teenagers got all the decent seating on the deck with table & chairs. My friends & I managed to get some chairs on the front of the boat, which, at the time was lovely. When the boat started moving we had drones of teenagers coming to the front of the boat to take selfies, blocking our views (and other passengers). They were drunk, loud, rude & disrespectful. The young girl who was collecting glasses saw how bad it was and couldn’t even get through the crowd to get off the deck. I thought she may have asked someone to come & disperse the crowd but no one came. I overheard another passenger say “that was THE WORST CRUISE”! And I couldn’t agree more. I booked this as a little treat for my 40th birthday for me & my friends and we were all so looking forward to it. Sadly, it was poorly managed and a huge waste of money. I would not recommend.

Relaxing in Budapest

This trip was just so relaxing ,,, the view the lights ,, everything was perfect ,, if u are in the city do not miss it for sure

Skip the cruise.

Tourist trap .. overcrowded .. was not even 1 hr, lasted only 40 mins. Honestly, we could just walked along the Danube and would have covered the cruise sights in around an hour.

Wonderful time…

Wonderful experience.. I would suggest the 8:30 pm trip to experience all of the city lights. The wine was good, perfect length of trip, great value and outstanding views…

The views were amazing, but the quality of the wine was very low and there is no guide in english. Nobody explained anything and at the end, I had to go the toilet and they didn’t let me go

Don't bother

Don't bother. Like cattle to the slaughter. We all piled on, and even if you got a seat, don't count on seeing anything because people just come and stand in front of you to take pictures. They don't care you have a seat and are trying g to take pictures too.even the tall man at the front of the boat had to stand to take photos and I have no idea why. This is a money grabbing shoddy cruise

Great Experience

Really good value for money, an hour long trip where you are able to get a lot of good photos. Port was super easy to find and the boat had lots of space. I stayed downstairs where it was nice and peaceful. Highly recommend

Not a tour, only a cruise

Views were great and the wine was good- however there is no narration or explanation of the highlights-- just 2010s pop/club music. Cruise runs about 50 minutes and does not stop for the building lights coming on etc. we just barely missed them on the 7:30 pm tour in May.

I visited Budapest for 2 nights and I had a fantastic Time ever The view from Danube River is something you must experience Highly recommended

Shocking staff

The boat ride was good and worth it for the cost, especially at sunset. However when I booked through viator and went to dock 42 I also had the name of the vessel, the staff claimed I had the wrong boat. I told them it says it there in plain English. He told us it was a boat down the road. We went looking for the next boat. Couldn’t find one, after a bit of arguing he miraculously found my name on the booking, with 1 min to spare

Bad experience

No comments during the cruise even if I chose english one ! Disappointing as lots of people are noisy, making pictures all the time and disturbing people.

Cute

The trip was cute. They could have let us get on the boat a little earlier. The instructions say to arrive to the point of entry at least 15 minutes prior to the star, but they didn't start letting us get on about 5 minutes prior to the start of the trip, which resulted us leaving about 10 minutes later. We also arrived back a little earlier, so it wasn't a full 60 minute ride. The views were spectacular however, and sitting right at the front of the boat was really nice - but you have to "fight" to get the best seat - first come first serve.

The punctuality and the incredible sights from the boat. Nice atmosphe and a good view from the different parts of the boat.

Nice trip, but no commentary to help us understand about what we could see. Trip was complete on 55 minutes and seemed rushed.

Amazing views

Amazing views, well worth the trip. Parliament is simply stunning lit up at night. If it's cold outside, wrap up cis colder out on the river. One thing to watch for nothing to do with the company providing trip, but don't just jump in a taxi when you come off. Ask for a price as we didn't and got ripped off

Trip not to be missed!

Stunning views of the city from the legendary Danube! The cruiser was comfortable and smooth. The staff were efficient, and we enjoyed travelling up and down the enormous Danube. Highly recommended trip

Rude employees and bad wine

Rude ticket scanners/employees. A woman stepped out of line because the smoke was bothering her from another couple waiting and the ticket counter decided she needed to go to the back of the line. Spoke with her on the boat and it turned out she has cancer, so she had to get away from the smoke. I thought that was awful the way she was treated. I will never spend my money with a company that treats people like that. The drinks were not good either. Ticket says prosecco and all they were serving was lemonade and some tasteless white wine. I would not recommend this tour with anyone.

There was too many people...

There was too many people smoking on the cruise. There should be a smoking areas and nonsmoking area. Why should the nonsmokers have to have all the puffs blown in their face.

Good way to end the day...

Good way to end the day with a gentle breeze and view of the city. A reasonable price. Right amount of time.

Wow factor on the rise as the sun sets.

The sights of the buildings lit up at night are stunning. 1730 was a bit ealrly to leave but the lights and sights on the return trip are amazing.

Highlights cruise to round off great stay in Budapest!

Great little trip, does what it says, welcome drink (wine/juice) on arrival, lots of seating, sat and traveled up and down the Danube. Great to see sights at dusk, the Parliament building looked especially beautiful lit up at night. The dock is quite a way up from the city centre, but it's busy in the evening so felt pretty safe. Great value trip.

It was ok…as expected for...

It was ok…as expected for the price nothing exciting and you can get the view via land, if you don't mind the walk.

It was OK

It was okay. The chairs are zip tied together so you can’t separate at all from anyone else. It’s inevitable that a couple will share a table with others and this makes it strange. You’re so close. The bathrooms also close way before you get back to the dock and is pretty silly when people disembark without restrooms available.

Nice and easy Budapest...

Nice and easy Budapest sightseeing by the river cruising. The crew was polite and the wine was dry. I recomend it.

Beautiful and amazing place, we wish we have more time. Hopefully coming next year again, one of the great places to visit.

Amazing!

We booked for 20:40 in April and the sun has set. The view was so amazing. The personal was very friendly. The price is very good for 1 hour. I would defenitely recommend it!

Evening cruise on the Danube.

We arrived about 7pm for the 7:30 cruise and got in line. Had great seats at the back of the boat. The upper deck fills up fast.
