was a really enjoyable tour ... excellent guide ... great location ... note: the previous year, we did the Goodna Cemetery Ghost Tour = we rated this one even better, as it was "deathly quiet" (no traffic noises) AND very dark (no city lights).

Toowong Original - Awesome experience

Our guide Andrew was great. He was knowledgeable about the cemetery and it's occupants, including some who were not part of the tour. He made it interesting and enjoyable. My friend from Melbourne was very impressed and so was I. We have now done 90% of the ghost tours available through Brisbane Ghost Tours and they have all been an exciting adventure for us.

Not our first spectral rodeo with the company - and although we've loved every tour, this was by far the best. Andrew was our guide for the night and he was just brilliant. He had an obvious love and enthusiasm for the cemetery and its history, he was authoritative and personable, and incorporated the perfect proportions of drama and humour. It was a rainy evening, where the cloud cover meant the moon lit up the cemetery beautifully. I don't think the showers upset or deterred any of our group's enjoyment or engagement at all. Andrew held everyone's attention and we didn't feel rushed at all. Can't recommend this tour highly enough: and we're already planning which one to book next.

It was every interesting and enjoyable true

The tour guide was very very interesting and full of history and knowledge about the front side of the Toowong Cemetery will have to do the tour on the other side which is the back end of the Toowong cemetery

Intriguing and Informative

The Toowong Cemetery Tour was very enjoyable and informative. I have never been on a tour like this in the past but was very happy my friend and I had a chance to experience something very different. We are definitely going to attend the other tours available!

Historic Spooky

Very informative with lots of historic information presented by Andrew who added to the atmosphere. The Mayne crypt was a bit spooky. There is quite a bit of walking with one up hill section but once at the top there is a fantastic view of the city lights. A blend of Brisbane history and tales of people long gone. The two hours just flew by!

Ghostly reflection

Our guide/story-teller, Andrew, did a great job bringing the ghosts of times past alive for us . The chorus of bats, cicadas & frogs added to the atmosphere with their spooky sound effects .

Ghostly experiences, touches, goose bumps with figures lurking

The tour was exceptional, our host was fantastic. My husband and I have a big interest in history of old Cementery, especially Toowong as my great grand parents are buried there, and I get weird feelings when visiting cleaning their grave. Andrew our host was great put a lot of information into the tour, things we don't know which are interesting. Lots of walking, and uphill so make sure you can keep up, but once at the top..WOW what a view, that's if you haven't already been shaken up by a mystery hair pull, or something touching your arm. Best tour ever so enjoy it, we did. Thank you Andrew, and The Ghost tour crew.

We went on the Toowong Cemetery Tour last night and it was awesome! Hats off to our guide, Andrew! He made the night entertaining, interesting, funny and spooky all at the same time! I highly recommend this tour to anyone, can’t wait to do more 😊

Great Experience!

The tour guides were great! The history of the place and persons involved. We were lucky as it was a full moon too. I’ll be back for more tours!

Would do again in a heartbeat

Andrew is an amazing storyteller, and the knowledge researched and shared made the experience even more worthwhile. We had the pleasure of Jack Sim himself taking the 2nd part of the tour, which added to a fantastic night out.

Great tour by a dedicated and energetic host

Andrew was a fantastic guide who did a great job sharing the history and lore of Brisbane and the Toowong Cemetery. The stories were great and there was plenty of time to explore the gravesites. There are a lot hills in the cemetery so be prepared! Make sure to ask for the detour to see the Brisbane skyline. It’s amazing at night!

Toowong cemetery ghost tour a great ghoulish romp

Plenty of goosebump moments in a truly eerie setting. Host Andrew was a great guide with fantastic stories about Toowong cemetery history and a wicked sense of humour to boot! I was freaked out. Loved it!

Can't wait to do another tour!

We did the Toowong Original tour last night with Andrew and it was amazing! His spooky voices really added to the experience. At the start of the tour, we saw a beautiful owl sitting on top of a cross by the front gate. Andrew's stories were interesting and full of history and atmosphere. We are on holiday, so sadly have to go home today. Can't wait for our next Brisbane trip so we can do some more of the tours on offer. Thanks for a great night!

Exceeded expectations

Informative, intriguing, history told with a twist

Highly recommend

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. I half expected a tacky spooky tour, but was very impressed with how professional our tour guide was. Andrew’s voice was well projected, and he enticed us with his tales. The life history of each of the departed was extremely interesting, as were the stories associated with their current activities in Toowong cemetery. Was a great tour and it was evident that Andrew enjoys what he does.

Evening with the departed

Andrew was our tour guide and he was fantastic. He looked the part and totally set the scene for spending an evening amongst the departed. Andrew's commentary flowed beautifully, was clear, packed with information and fun. Although we didn't see any apparitions it was value packed and has us wanting to visit again. Thank you.

A Good Friday night!

had so much fun! Andrew was so knowledgeable and really set the mood for the evening. His storytelling was very gripping and I enjoyed learning the history of the cemetery. I will definitely be looking at the other tours available! Great way to spend a Friday night!

Fascinating history and spooky ghosts

My partner and I had a fantastic and engaging time with our guide, Andrew. He shared some amazing stories about the history of brisbane and his enthusiasm was contiguous. Andrew was fun, well informed, and approachable! If only we just had more time with him to hear even more stories! Also the company was very helpful when we needed to adjust our tour date due to illness! And the view if the city from the top of the cemetery is a spectacle.

Awesome night out

Such a great evening. Andrew, our guide, was such a great story teller. The adults loved it, the 12 year old’s loved it. Only problem was it went too quickly. Thank you so much- we’ll be back for the other events.

Spooktacular Tour

We did the tour last night on Friday the 13th, it was packed with about 70 plus people and it was split into two groups. The tour was on time and we had a really good group, no morons. Our guide was Andrew and he was excellent, looked the part and knew his history of the cemetery. We took our teen daughter and we’re with other friends with teens and there is no problems taking kids. We had a great night, thought it was value for money and highly recommend this tour.

Great Brisbane tour

Love it, have done many tour with jack and his team. We even got jack himself as our tour guide so an added bonus, great story telling and a little rain made it more eerie.

Really fun

First time doing a tour like this, but loved every minute. Really fun tour, made that extra special by our host, Andrew. Lots of info and seeing a python, ringtail possum and bats overhead was pretty cool too. Definitely recommend 😀

A solid historical tour

Pretty standard for a ghost tour. Tour guide was excellent and accommodating, but consider this tour more of a historical lesson than something that will scare you.

Overall great tour, would definitely recommend it to anyone. I am keen to do more in the future.

The stories, all the history I really enjoyed the most. The hosts were really knowledgeable and their presentation was very well done.

The Ultimate Fright Night

What a great night. Perfect clear conditions although i would have loved the ambience of a rainy, misty eve. The commentator was amazing. Well rehearsed stories embellished by his natural flair for story telling he held us engrossed for the entire time. He was funny, inclusive, safety driven and so full of knowledge. I will be attending more of your tours very soon.

Andrew nailed it!

What an awesome night! Our tour guide Andrew was amazing! So well informed, really sweet and fit the vibes perfectly… And it was his first solo tour!!! We couldn’t believe it! What a legend!

Spooky history

Our host for the night, Natalia, endured everyone was included and could enjoy the night's terrors! Great historical knowledge, clear presentation and the cold night added to the spookiness of the experience. Definitely recommend.

Great night out with a difference!

We enjoyed the whole experience. Guide was excellent, she had a wealth of knowledge about the area and a dramatic flair that truly enhanced the tour. Good value for money, highly recommend.

A night with the dead

Such a great night out for everyone. I always have such a great night out with friends at these tours. The guide was informative, had an amazing presence and was brilliant at delivering the local history through the story of tragedy.

Great tour and learnt a lot of history

Great Tour. Learning the history and sightings are amazing. Host so knowledgeable and really set the scene. A member in our group say a sighting very briefly and the host explained that the sighting they say was one she was just about to tell us about. Highly recommend

Great night out, highly recommended. We done all tours and they are all as good as each other. .....

Good but wait until the group is smaller or no more social distancing

The atmosphere and guide were fun but the group was too big - with social distancing we had to spread too far out and you couldn't hear the guide for some of the sections. Also, you don't get to visit some of the spots mentioned (only distantly see the Governor's grave and can't see The Grove at all).

Fabulous but long winded could have seen more

Loved the tour, thinking, that if our tour guide stopped pausing for dramatic effect, that we may have been able to see more. I found Ipswich Cemetery and Boggo Road more exciting as the stories were quick and we were able to explore more. I personally found it long winded due to the stories being dragged out with painful dramatic effect. We may have been able to see more, if the story telling was kept dramatic but to the point. I had picnics in Toowong cemetery as a teenager and used to explore. Wish it could have been a little more fluid.

Not worth the money

Vague meeting point. Boring tour guide. Barely interactive. Tour guide treated us like cattle. NOT WORTH $45 Vague meeting point. 'corner of Fredrick and mt cootha road' .. called mobile number provided and the man was extremely condescending "do you see big iron gates are you at them? You can't miss them" "are you IN the cemetery, you're not allowed to park in there there's no parking" talking over the top of me. The 'big iron gates' were right on the corner of a big busy roundabout and did not scream 'enterance' or 'big iron gates' at all. Boring tour guide. She spoke SO incredibly slow as if she was acting a voice. We stopped in 5 different spots. Each time for about 10minutes and she told the stories so slow and in not exaggerating when I say she spoke in this 'voice' at a speed of maybe twenty words a minute. Tour guide treated us like cattle. Spent more time telling us where to stand than anything. We are 100% understanding of Covid guidelines however this was ridiculous. We were made to stand away from our own household members and spread out so far that I struggled to hear anything she said. The 'voice' coupled with her long winded stories made this tour unbearable. We had more fun between 'story stops' . People who were strolling through on their own accord, unrelated to the tour, were enjoying themselves and it enforced that this tour was NOT worth $45 each. At all. We would've enjoyed it better researching things on our own.

Awesomely Scary.... 👻

Did the tour last night 9th Oct 2020. The guide was excellent, the tour was informative, scary and we learned some local history. My daughter said it was scarier than the Paris Catacombs! Highly recommend and we’ll be looking at doing Boggo Road and South Brisbane cemetery soon. I paused to get a pic down the hill we had just walked up, felt a presence coming towards me, took this snap and walked fast to catch up as I had chills, looks like an orb rushing at me.

Really amazing ghost tour

I was so thoroughly impressed with the quality of the Toowong Cemetery Ghost Tours. Our tour guide, Isabelle, was incredible. Her knowledge of the cemetery and historical elements of Brisbane was outstanding and her ability to weave a narrative that captivates and engages you is second-to-none. I highly, highly recommend the experience. We also got a book afterwards that details some of the other aspects of Toowong Cemetery that we may not have been able to cover throughout the night (and recaps some of the stories we did get to hear). An all around fantastic experience.

Toowong ghost tour

Isabelle was amazing full of history, stories and experiences. Highly recommend this tour as well as the Boggo Road ghost tour. Our children have come to both and had a great time. Thank you Isabelle. 👍👍👍

Give me a sign...

We have been talking about booking this tour for such a long time and finally we made the jump into it. We arrived, met our host Annabelle, and check in was fast and simple. This was followed by a safety brief which gave us all this info needed to be safe and feel safe. The stories and information allowed our imagination run wild and we were full of anticipation from the start. Each stop fuelled our fascination further and built on our understanding of the cemetery and the history of Brisbane. It was such a lovely night to be out walking among those who went before us, the pace was perfect. Although we did not meet a ghost, apparition, or orb; we still had an amazing time. We are now left with wanting more and a desire to learn more about the macabre history of our town.

Dissatisfied

we went last night on the tour. First of all there were children who were under the age of 10 on the tour,so one of the stories has to be modified. None of the stories were creepy and I'm the biggest wimp,stops were missed out on that were normally part of the tour. The tour was quite boring and left us looking at our watches to see how long was left. We also noted that info given on the tour did not match info given on a previous tour one of our group went on.

Toowong Cemetery Ghost Tour

Definitely not worth the $45 it cost for this tour. While the stories at the different stops were interesting the host- Natalia had the worst personality for it all. While I realise she would’ve made it part of a character for the tour it really wasn’t needed. She sounded so bored and like she didn’t want to be there. She had a runny nose that she kept wiping. So considering we are in a pandemic she shouldn’t have been there. Although we did follow social distancing rules. We were not given an opportunity to ask questions about any of the places we stopped at or any questions at all. Give a couple of minutes at each stop to ask questions once the story has been told. Would not recommend the tour. Will give the history tour a go to see if that is any better.

Had a great night. Very informative about some early Brisbane history, but alas no spooky visitors. A must do for anyone living in or visiting Brisbane. Now to check out the Boggo Road experience.

Tour was great. Isabella was a very entertaining host. The cemetery stories were great and the kids were very engaged and interested in all that was going on around them. The tour had a balance of scary and historical stories which were thoroughly intriguing. Great night. Thanks to all.

Eerie Great night out

My husband and I did the evening Cemetery Ghost Tour with Natalia. Great tour and thoroughly enjoyed the eeriness. Natalia was a great guide and definitely knew her ghosts.
