Great fun!

The kayaking was a fantastic experience. It was a lovely way to see the city and a really relaxing journey along the river. Also a Great workout for the arms, I loved it! The guide was a really nice man who made the experience very enjoyable. He kindly took photos for us and then airdropped them to our phones. I would definately recommend this activity. 10/10😊

This is the first time I am khayaking. It was an awesome experience. The instructor was very nice and helpful. The weather was also nice to enjoy the hour and half under the sun.

Great Kayaking on Brisbane River

A great 90 mins kayaking on the river, good fun and a different view of the city. Blake our guide was fantastic.

So much fun!

There were maybe 10 people total for our group. Instructor Alex was very knowledgeable about how to get into the kayak, how to adjust the life vest, what to do if you happen to flip, and most importantly, how to get back into the kayak if an impromptu swim happens. Everyone stayed in their kayaks, but don't think this means you won't get wet, especially if you have not kayaked before! Fortunately, the weather cooperated, and I did not mind. It seems to be all in the handling of the paddle. We shared the river with ferries, City Cats, private boats, and jet ski's, which caused a bit of turbulence on the water. If you're a newby, just turn your nose into it, keep your arms, and paddle low. and don't panic! I ended up looking forward to the wakes. We started out against the current then paddled back to the starting point with the current. Smart planning, since my arms, at least, were like noodles by then. Alex kept track of all of us, checking in to make sure we were doing all right and offering suggestions along the way. Had a great time and look forward to doing this again with my next Brisbane visit!

Special Experience

It was my first time trying this sport and there were some difficulties for me, it was hard for me to keep up with the others. Thank you very much for Alex's help and encouragement. His explanation and introduction are very clear and kind, and he has always encouraged me to finish. All in all, it was a very special experience.

Alex was a great guide and conversationalist. I had lots of questions about Brisbane’s infrastructure, neighborhoods, and politics and he had great knowledge about it all! Really great way to see the city and learn a bit about the country I’m visiting.

Very Happy Kayakers!!

Really enjoyed my first kayaking experience with Mitch who was an awesome instructor and full of local knowledge. The views from the river were superb. I am 57 years old and was worried about getting in and out of the kayak but staff made it feel safe, easy and were very supportive. Both my friend and I loved it and will be doing this activity again when we are in Brisbane.

Felt safe, enjoyed the experience. Definitely gives a whole different look on the Brisbane River. Would recommend to single, couples or groups.

Great fun, bring a change of clothes.

A beautiful way to see parts of the city, and fun. I have occasionally kayaked before but am no expert, and our instructor & guide kept us safe & assisted two of our group when each got into difficulty. (One lagged behind and the guide towed them to us, the other went for a “swim”.) A lovely way to while away some time.

Great kids kayaking birthday party - very patient instructor Oscar, coped well with 'varied' ability and energy levels, and plenty of humour to keep the adults entertained.

kayaking with Riverlife - great experience!

Thanks to Riverlife we had an incredible experience kayaking the Brisbane river with my family. Alec, our instructor, was amazing! Very patient with our teenage son, who has not had much experience kayaking by himself. A great time has by all and highly recommended Riverlife as a tour operator.

Kayaking with the big city on one side and nature on the otherside as well as going under a massive bridge!

We so loved the kayak tour of the Brisbane River! Georgia our instructor and guide and she was fabulous! Would so do this paddle again, and hopefully soon your evening paddle!

Super Fun on water

What a super couple of hours on the water. George our instructor was the Man ! Kept it super fun and did all the Grunt work. George's excitement was contagious so we all.had a blast. 100% recommend everyone to go ve this a try

The perfect introduction to Brisbane

This was our first activity in Australia and it did not dissapoint. The city is nothing short of amazing, and getting to experience it for the first time from a kayak is something I would strongly recommend. Our guide was Oscar and he was incredibly friendly and welcoming, as well as super knowledgeable.

The service from the...

The service from the staff was excellent. They brought the energy to make it fun and entertaining and were really helpful in explaining to us the process before going into the water. When we were in the water, they stayed close by giving us ques what to do and not do. The instructor tour guide person was very friendly and helpful and even took photos for everyone at the end. Overall very fun experience and would recommend it to anyone.

Kayaking fun with friends

The tour was really nice. Gieran, our tour guide, gave us clear instructions on how to kayak (getting on, rowing, what happens if you fall off). He was very friendly and provided fun facts during the tour. He also offered assistance to any kayakers who needed a tow or fell off the kayak. Overall, the duration of the tour, the equipment and guide were perfect and we had an amazing time.

20 years since I kayaked so was feeling apprehensive but the experience was great.

Loved the experience all the staff were excellent helpful and personable. Hanka my Kayak instructor was very in tune with my needs. All were health and safety aware and I felt safe and secure. Up and down the Brisbane river was awesome. Will do it again next time I’m in Brisbane.

Very Patient Guide

This is a fun and simple City kayak for all levels. Alex, the guide, was very good and very patient as there were a number of people who had never kayaked before and needed a lot of support and help. You don't go that far in 1.5 hours, especially if the group is slow but it's a nice way to see the City and the Bridge. I hired a bike from them afterwards and cycled across the river, through the Botanic Gardens, down to New Farm and then back over the Storey Bridge which I really enjoyed.

Great mixed ages relaxing activity

My parents and I (22yo) booked this on a whim when in Brisbane for the weekend. It was the perfect activity to satisfy my want to be active, whilst also being easy enough for my parents. Dad in particular was worried with joint issues, but found it easy enough to participate. We had the guide Gieran who was beyond amazing. Our tour was very mixed skill level and fear, and he had a calming manner and a great way at guiding the whole group. He was also extremely knowlegable and provided some awesome stories. The paddle itself was gentle, and we did not rush at all. It was a lovely afternoon and would highly recommend. Would recommend applying sunscreen and also wearing a hat and sunnies as it does get hot and bright on the water.

Great time!

Small group of 2 solo people, we kayaked for about 1.5 hours. The staff was great; friendly and informative. I would definitely go again and highly recommend it!

Disappointing

After reading many positive reviews, i was looking forward to the 'guided' tour along the river. After taking 45 minutes to deliver the safety briefing and get the 15 kayakers into the water, we had only 45 minutes on the river. Two guides accompanied the group but there was no information about highlights or features along the river as I had expected. The PFDs are probably due for replacement but the kayaks were in good condition and easy to manage. Based on my experience I would not recommend this activity.

Great fun

Excellent. Really chilled outing. The river is lovely and flat with very little wash from boats. Our guide Gieron was good fun and what he doesn't know about rivets in bridges isn't worth knowing 😀

My son and I went on a kayaking tour. Seb and Lucas were the most informative, accommodating and friendliest instructors we have ever seen. They helped us every step of the way and made us feel so comfortable. Honestly, one of the most genuine experiences we have ever been on. The kayaking experience itself was brilliant. One we will always remember!

Such a wonderful experience. Idyllic day, so restful and calming. Such a lovely way to experience the Brisbane River. Staff were great- helpful and friendly. Instruction was clear and easy to follow. Highly recommended.

This was a fun 1.5 hour tour on a kayak up the Brisbane River. I enjoyed the experience thoroughly! the tour guide was great and the scenery was very interesting from the river perspective.

Fun afternoon on the water

My adult daughter and I had a really fun afternoon with our guides Georgia & Zoe kayaking up the Brisbane River. Was a bit windy but we still found it really easy to paddle. Nice way to see the sights of Brisbane ! Girls were fun guides. Highly recommend!

Staff are always helpful

I've been taking my family, friends and work colleagues to Riverlife for year now and cant rav enough about the helpful staff and variety of experiences. I've done most outdoors activities and also hosted many staff events and our engagement party at Riverlife.

An Exciting and Soothing Kayak Tour!

Fantastic tour! As a first time kayak-rider, I really enjoyed my experience with my tour guide. They kept instructions clear and helped me along where I struggled, and had some fascinating facts about Brisbane to share too! I’ve now fallen a bit in love with kayaking and hope to come back soon!

A great experience

The kayaking tour was so good! I took my dad for his birthday and we had the best time. The view was very pretty and our guide (Gearan?) shared lots of interesting facts about the city. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to give kayaking a try or enjoys a leisurely kayak down the river.

60th Birthday Kayak Tour. Fun for the young at heart as well!

We had a fabulous time with Blake on our early morning kayak tour. The views were picturesque and Blake was a fun and knowledgeable guide. We were an older group but Blake made us feel very safe and confident, and paced the tour appropriately. It was a lot of fun and a great way to start a family celebration!

We had a wonderful experience kayaking on the Brisbane River in the early morning. Blake was our guide and he was knowledgeable and helpful. We were a group of 8, mostly inexperienced over 60s, and Blake led our group with patience and care. It was a highlight of a birthday celebration. Thanks, Blake and Riverlife.

Our tour guide was lovely and took lots of photos of us. However the actual tour is lacking in content and I think a lot more could be said about Brisbane's history in that 90 minutes we had
