Why close at lunch time.

Wasn’t told when booked that it closed at lunch time. Got to the lounge for a 20 minute period only before it closed at 12.30. Very disappointing

Below par for international lounge

No seats available as it was so crowded so I had to stand at the end of the long communal table. Food was terrible so I only had water. Wasnt enough toilets so had to queue. Piles of dishes everywhere. Staff were friendly but run off their feet. I was flying business with China Airlines AKL-BNE-TPE-ICN was looking forward to getting a shower and break whilst on the stopover but this was very disappointing. I couldnt even find the showers, not sure they had them, I just got out of there.

Disappointed

It was closed so waste of time and money said was open when we booked. Called customer service who said we would get a refund but nothing has happened yet. Recommend you to not bother booking this Incase you get there and it's closed again.

just want your money

Our flight was changed two times and each time I needed to change plaza lounge booking at $20 US each time, on the second change our flight was cancelled while we were at the airport, I emailed the lounge ASAP but was told the $126 I had paid as well as the $20 fee I paid would not be honored as we did not give 6 hours notice. Being an airport lounge where flights are changed all the time you would think they would be most understanding with these issues when they happen. They just take your money and don't think about you. Would never book with Plaza lounge ever again.

Comfortable but not first class.

The good:- Clean. Good selection of drinks. The not so good:- Minimal selection of cold food. Very little gluten free food options. Buyer be aware: - Don't buy a 6 hour pass unless you are flying with an airline that has advanced luggage check in. Most airlines open 3 hours before the flight. By the time you clear security etc, 2 hours at the most for lounge access.

Shame on the airlines that offer this to their customers.

Shame on Cathay Pacific for offering this lounge even to their Emerald members. Why not just use the Qantas lounge, which is far from perfect, but aeons better than this. The food is terrible (except for the cheese counter, I must give it to them. The space is minute, but still the staff does not manage to keep it clean. Dirty dishes are all over the place, the conditions of the toilets are of biblical note. Absolutely disgusting. And it's always like that. This is not a one-off review. Shame on their management for not having enough staff. Shame on all the airlines that offer this joke to their customers.

Worst Lounge Ever!

Worst lounge ever! We walked in and walked straight out again asking if we were in the right place? It’s tiny, nowhere to sit when we arrived, food looks inedible, if you want a drink you have to ask, and the girl serving definitely hasn’t been on the customer service course!

Worth the cost

Clean and modern decor. Reasonable range of fresh food. Good location with view's over the concourse. Not busy at this time of day ie early morning

Untidy and poor service

Tables had dirty plates and cups everywhere with no sign of it being cleared. Breakfast was average with very dry scrambled eggs and over cooked sausages.

Food was uninspiring and very basic . Lounge area was very shabby . The plates couldn’t have been smaller and there was very little chive in food

Atrocious

This is absolutely the worst lounge I have visited. The food selection and quality was atrocious. The grey eggs were a standout. Dirty tables everywhere on arrival. The staff were friendly but there was no sense of urgency to collect any of the used plates or wipe a table. Cutlery station was empty and when I asked for a fork one was rinsed by hand and handed to me. I saw a young man order mimosas and then saw the server take two dirty flute glasses from an overflowing pile and rinse them under a tap before refilling them and handing them still dripping to the customer. No hand towel in the bathroom and soap dispenser empty. The whole place needs a refurb but the glass and cutlery rinsing was next level. Zero stars. Would not recommend.

Extremely Disappointing

We chose to utilise the Plaza Premium Lounge prior to departure of an overseas trip. The Lounge advertisers an opening time of 6am but without care or apology opened at 6.15am. Initially my booking could not be found, requiring me to search for and produce my online receipt for payment. This delay at the Desk was infuriating a number of Guests queued behind me as the young unfriendly Receptionist tried to locate my booking. Once entry had been gained, this Lounge and its offering represents very poor value. The Foods on offer showed no imagination or creativity and are reminiscent of old world catering. The majority of Staff were unfriendly and the young female Barista needs to be trained in both Coffee production and Customer Service. At a cost of $126.00 for 2 Guests this option for pre flight travel should be avoided.

Didn’t release it wasn’t open all day so paid for 6 hours but only ended up getting 2. The staff could have been a bit more friendly and happy to be at work!

Excellent visit to Plaza Lounge Brisbane Airport.

My wife and travel business class and entry to a business lounge ir the norm. On this occasion we travelled economy class and decided to utilize the Premium Plaza Lounge. What a very pleasant surprise. The lounge is the business lounge used by Korean Airlines. We found the staff very pleasant and helpful. The food on offer (breakfast we were there at 7am for an early flight) was very good but limited. In saying that. there was plentiful, including staples such as bacon. eggs. mushrooms. pancakes, juices etc. The pastries were excellent as was the coffee. We also had a couple of glasses of celebratory Champayne. There are two lounges open to the public on payment of a fee ( total $127 for two) There is a time limit of two hours at the Plaza and 3 hours at the Aspire Lounge for much the same. For us not travelling business class we felt this was most reasonable given the comfort and quietness of the area as well as many charging ports and power outlets. The amenities were very clean and tidy and to be honest we could not fault the Lounge. Would use this facility again - you betcha !!!!

Not good enough

This is the Business Lounge that Cathay Pacific and other airlines uses @ Brisbane International Airport. It is a small lounge, in desperate need of renovation. The choice of food and beverage is poor. Really not good enough.

Very disappointed

I never did get the experience because it was closed. I was booked to go to the lounge only to find that the lounge is closed on Wednesdays and does not open until 5:30 pm. The initial booking was Wednesday 16/08/23 for 3 hrs. My flight was early afternoon SQ236 departing at 2:45 pm. I have sent an email to the company requesting a refund of $61 but had no response yet. I was very disappointed that day.

Unclean venue

This has to be the worst departure lounge in Brisbane. The food looks like it has been sitting around for a long time. Even the cake was stale. The food bar looks unclean and does not entice one to eat or drink from there. The room is cold and is not friendly.

Covid is over... best you lift your game!

Totally disappointed with Plaza Premium Lounge at BNE. Visit was to be Midday on a Wednesday... but the lounge was closed!!! Wtaf.... someone needs to tell these folk the bs covid crap ain't washing with us folks anymore.

Humiliating treatment

We were refused entry into the lounge ‘as our payment had timed out’! I was unable to access the booking information on my IPad as the Wi-Fi didn’t work and the printed confirmation ‘wasn’t enough’. This was so humiliating, in front of other passengers. So no food or drink despite paying $101 for the access, yet the receptionist wanted to charge another $120 for access. I emailed a complaint on return home (the email address provided by the receptionist didn’t work) and am still waiting for a response, a refund and an apology 10 days later, despite 3 subsequent emails. I really wouldn’t bother with these airport lounges overseas as they are so much more expensive since the pandemic and not worth the money

Tired facilities and limited food and drink

Welcome at the desk was great but down hill from there. No champagne, one white wine and only one main left at 6 pm in the evening Their response was we have used our allocation for the night No coffee as they were too busy. Do not pay to go it is not worth it. I have used many lounges and this one is old, limited food and poor service.

Caffe Royal Cheers!

Caffe Royal in the Brisbane Airport, recently, made my trip north and a lengthy delay much more enjoyable than i value, for many similar journey’s . Sarriah and her Team turned my being from disoriented and tired, hungry and distraught, making me warm and feeling refreshed. Kindness makes all the difference in a fast-paced world, that pushes me aside and leaves me, cold. I wish the team at Caffe Royal could be replicated the country over, make this a truly welcoming country we should try to aspire to be, again. Good on you, Caffe Royal and Sarriah! Buc.

A Retreat during Covid

We were on the halfway mark of our Around the World Cruise when Covid ended the cruise. Australia had just closed flights but allowed our ship passengers (no Covid onboard) to fly home. Thank you Australia! We were exhausted after four days of worry, very little sleep, and a lot of uncertainty. The ship's doctor had given me bloodthinners for previous bloodclot issues, and I couldn't stay awake when I arrived at the Lounge. The staff fed us breakfast, saw that I had a comfy place to recline, and made sure we got to our gate on time. It's a small lounge compared to some, but the staff was very kind and helpful. We were impressed and grateful to them.

Brisbane airport lounge

Very comfortable lounge with good choice of food and drinks. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Would highly recommend it.

Good but not great

The Plaza Premium Lounge is a contract lounge that anyone travelling can pay to enter and is also used by a number of airlines that don’t have their own lounges or the use of another airline’s lounges at the airport. I arrived around 8.30pm on a Saturday night and found the lounge to be crowded but still managed to find a seat which was great but overall I wasn’t overly impressed with the lounge it was nice enough but just lacking something special. On arrival I handed in my pass from the airline and was given a piece of paper back which I just put in my wallet and only later realized it was a coupon for free alcohol as not every guest is entitled to free alcohol which I didn’t end up using so make sure you keep a track of it if you are going to want a drink. They had a reasonable hot and cold food selection but my biggest issue with the lounge was the tiny glasses they use for soft drinks which you probably need more than a couple to get a decent serving. I didn’t use the wifi so can’t comment on it. Spent about two hours here and while it is pleasant enough it just didn’t have a wow factor.

Family visit

Place was small and seating with tables were very limited. Kids did not have good food options for food.

Plaza Premium Brisbane

The lounge was very small and busy. We couldn't find a spare 'lounge' chair so we had to sit at a table which was squashed in right next to the buffet area. The plates were very small so we had to go back for more which would not have been necessary if they provided normal dinner plates. There wasn't a big selection of food but what was there was ok. Drinks were good with spirits included which we didn't expect!

Wouldn't bother AT all

We thought we would treat ourselves and visit the Plaza Premium Lounge on our departure to Indonesia. From our first point of contact from the Rude receptionist we should have know what we would be in for, nothing but disapointment. PLEASE do not waste your money.... For what is on offer it's a rip off... Much better value from the other places to eat like the Windmill.

Convenient, excellent staff

Reception excellent and lounge staff very good. Lounge is quite small and offers basic seating. Food selection very average. Drinks selection more than adequate. Be aware when booking 3 or 6 hours - check ins for airlines only open 3 hours before departure so if you are checking in at airport or dropping bags you will not get to lounge more than 2-3 hours before flight departs. I booked a 6 hour stay but could not use it for two hours so it was a waste.

Dawn Coultas

Paid for this lounge as our flight home was at 9pm and thought it would be more relaxing. Free food and drinks on offer too so we thought it would be better. BIG mistake.! Whether it was the time of night, we got there at 6pm and we had been up for 12 hours by that time and needed decent hot meal but what was on offer was noodle soup we which wasn't appetising at all, cheese and crackers, tea and coffee. Very disappointing for what they charge you. Only good thing was the comfortable seats were okay but not what I call a great place. Next time we'll just miss this one out.

Great Lounge

The lounge at Brisbane Airport isn't the biggest but offers a wide range of food and drinks. We were there early morning so the food offering was breakfast which offered fruit, cereal, full cooked breakfast and more. The plates are small but you can go back for more. The louge is relaxing and wasn't busy on Wednesday morning when we were the. Definately worth the money.

The staff are amazing nothing to much trouble the only downside was limited snacks but this was only a minor point as what was on offer was good

Stressful

The ratio of seats to people was not good, most people had to walk round numerous times to find somewhere to sit and the seats weren’t comfortable. Some were with charging points which was good but others weren’t. Majority of the food was empty while I was there. Overall wasn’t the relaxing lounge experience I expected and wouldn’t return

Plaza Lounge

A bit squeezy but offers a good alternative if you don’t have airline lounge access . Tiny plates so need to go back many times if your hungry.Drinks were good and staff pleasant I would recommend as long as your expectations are not to high

Quiet Place, Great Service but Food had run Out

It was a pleasant experience but a long way below the lounges offered by the airlines as part of business class travel. This time we were on holiday and paid our way. We arrived and there was minimal hot food available. Some did arrive after 20 minutes after our arrival but not all that was originally on offer. The plates were small so it required a couple of visits to get a satisfying meal. Larger plates should be on offer. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

I found the WORST coffee on the planet

Was departing from Brisbane International airport and thought I’d have my last Aussie coffee before leaving. What I was served was hot water with a weak and powdery brew...disgusting. I love having coffee in Australia as one of the best in the world. Well...I may now have just found the worst cuppa in the world here also ! To add to the insult, the charge is way above the normal price. I think they are reusing coffee powder a number of times to save money by fleecing unsuspecting customers. Certainly not a good memory before leaving Aus. Wanted to give this zero stars, but not possible under the scoring here :(

Peace and quiet

Well worth paying for the use of the Brisbane Airport Premium Lounge. The staff were as always very pleasant and helpful.

Plaza premium lounge

Due to extra security checks, we didn’t have as long as we’d hoped in the lounge. Good choice of snacks (although the plates were on the small side), excellent service and very quiet.

So much better than just waiting downstairs.

We really enjoyed this experience. It was well worth the money. The food was good and there was plenty of it....and who wouldn't rather be sipping on a free champagne in a comfortable chair!!

Peace and Quiet at BNE

The lounge is not large but did provide all the amenities you expect of a business class lounge. The food was adequate and the staff were friendly. Good value for money.

A great way to start your holiday

There was a good selection of food and beverages. We always receive a warm welcome when we travel. This is a great place to relax while waiting for your flight.

Premium Touch

Flying to Bali on Virgin, this is the lounge you have access to - if you're on an early flight it opens at 5am. it's a nice comfortable lounge that overlooks the concourse . very nice selection of hot and cold breakfast and good coffee. we only experienced early morning before our 6am flight.

Nice place to wait.

We splurged and travelled business class, and as part of this fare we were able to make use of this airport facility. We had an early morning flight and the coffee and breakfast was appreciated. The seating in the food area of this lounge needs some thinking about but other than that is was a nice way to start the day whilst waiting for a flight. Whether it is worth the money for a 'one off' if not part of your fare, not really sure about that!
