Australia Zoo experience with Croc Tours

The round trip with Croc Tours in a smart Mercedes 10 seater van was great! We were picked up in an easy to find location early and the drive there was very comfortable and quick. The driver was very good. We were chaperoned and guided through to the zoo hospital and then to the main zoo and given a comprehensive brochure and lots of good advice. The exhibits and keeper talks were great and the animal enclosures and grounds were very well kept. The animals looked very healthy and well cared for. It was easy to stroll around and there was a shuttle bus to and from the African section. The Crocosaurus show was fabulous and also included exotic and native birds and snakes and of course a crocodile! It was a fabulous day out! (Pickup 8am - delivery home at 5pm). The day was a Monday, not school holidays. There were a lot of people at the zoo, but there was plenary of space and time to see everything, comfortably.

Convenient and fun!

Driver was amazing. Very good at what he does and clearly enjoys it. Would recommend! Both of us had been to the zoo before, I took the train my friend booked this service once before. We were staying at the Marriott so it was very convenient! Saves time when compared to the train. The only downside, if you can call it such, is the time in the zoo. You must be strategic and you may miss out on some shows in the afternoon if you are into that. But enough time to see the zoo in its entirety.

Great way to see the zoo!

This was a great way to travel to the zoo from Brisbane. The coach driver was professional and informative and the zoo was absolutely wonderful. Book animal encounters in advance!

Brilliant day out. So much to see. Very well organised. Gurt and Audrey helpful and gave us some good pointers to get around the zoo in an efficient manner.

Our driver Steve was awesome! He had great tips for how to get the most out of the zoo and lots of tips for things to do in the city during our vacation. We ended up having an amazing day.

Australia Zoo from Brisbane

Fantastic day at the wonderful Irwin family zoo. Our pick-up & collection was as advertised & Steve our driver kept us entertained & ensured we got the most out of our day. Would highly recommend.

Smooth day

The trip and transportation went smoothly. 6 hours was plenty of time to get through the zoo. Weather was perfect

Awesome experience.

This is my first time in Australia. They stick to the time, which is a very wonderful thing. The couple who drove us were very friendly and courteous ( I am unable to recall their names, they are from South Africa). Followed the suggestions and was able to cover the entire zoo from 9:30 A.M to 3:00 P.M. Visiting in the morning was a good thing.

Awesome!

Could have used another day. Food available throughout the location. Animals well cared for and looking healthy. The hospital is well staffed. Next to nothing being ill and maybe one or two animals being taken care of at the moment. Did not see an Irwin, but lots of busy employees. Animals very well cared for, fat and happy. It must need more support other than admissions to survive so well. Weather was perfect, on 5/25/24. No sign of winter on the horizon here. Comfortable. The Kistners, USA

great day out, worth doing. picked up on time form hotel and dropped off at zoo and left to do as pleased. got to stroke a wombat , feed kangaroo's

Baby and solo travel friendly

i purchased this experience because i was travelling solo with my baby and the tour was very accommodating by fitting a car seat and always ensuring we were comfortable. Worth going with croc tours! Thanks for making our day a good one

Amazing trip to Australia Zoo!

An amazing experience overall, even with rain it was still such a great zoo that really takes care of its animals. A special thanks to Steve our bus driver who told me that despite the koala encounters being booked out online I should just go to the guest desk and ask if a spot came free!! So happy to be able to have held a Koala! 🐨 Steve also gave us some good tips to get around the zoo the best way possible to see everything and feeding the kangaroos is his first tip, they were so fun and still very hungry in the early morning!! The only downside was that some enclosures were closed for renovations.

Spectacular animal day

The zoo was first class - happy healthy animals in a wonderful environment cared for by super enthusiastic and skilful keepers.

So much to explore and see .. zoo reps we great and enhanced the interactions with animals too

Awesome experience.. cant wait to visit again. Loved the guest experience with the animals, the zoo reps were great too. The show at the croc arena was very educational too..

Staghorn ferns

The Stag horn ferns were a great plant we saw around the zoo and has inspired us to acquire more back home

Giraffe experience was awesome and loved the zoo. Enclosures provided good viewing and zoo staff were so friendly. The set up for the Saltys is world class.

5 star zoo trip!

The couple taking our bus and guiding us were great. Information about the near by mountains and local culture in the way, a sneak peak at the zoo's hospital and insight in how best to tackle the zoo to get the most out of your day! Always on time and smiling! Took the time to help me get a photo infront of the big zoo sign as it can be tricky getting nice photos traveling solo, thanks for a great day.

Good, but do your research

I had a good time, got to get up close with kangaroos, walleys and koals, and even pet them. The Tiger show was short, but good. Recommend it. The Zoo itself had various of animals, but def do your own research of what animals will be there or not.

Great day out with Croc Tours.

Our Croc Tours driver was excellent. Full of great stories on the way to the zoo and gave us very helpful advice on how to see as much as possible in the 5 hours we had there. My favourite thing to do was feeding the kangaroos first thing as they were hungry and so cute. Also loved seeing the beautiful Sumatran tiger. How fantastic that Steve Irwin's legacy lives on. Great day out!

Amazing day at the zoo

Amazing day at the zoo. We get to see Bindi and Chandler at the croc show. They are easily the highlight of the show. The zoo is surprisingly big but with helpful tip from the tour guide, I was able to visit most of the enclosures. Watched the tiger show as well, which was great. Wished we had more time to walk and enjoy the shows but with the limited time we have, I cannot complain. Overall, would recommend if you want to avoid the hassle of driving.

Amazing Zoo Experience

This is a must do tour if you're visiting Brisbane. Our driver was amazing. This is the best zoo I have ever been to. I would do this excursion again!!

Good experience at a great price.

Craig our driver was great. He was very helpful and lots of good information. The zoo was awesome. Book any special tours on their website well in advance. We took the hospital tour and a behind the scenes tour. Both were very good and the most in our group was 4.

So large we didn't see everything.

The crocodile show. My friend needed to use a scooter to get around, but none where avaiable. We didn't realize we needed to order one ahead of time. So with slow walking we didn't get to the African area. Other than that the landscaping was beautiful and we enjoyed the exhibit we saw.

Must do in Brisbane!

Our driver Derrick was fantastic, the zoo was a once in a lifetime experience!! We would highly recommend this trip!

Great experience with Australian wildlife

The zoo is my new favorite. It is super clean and beautiful. The animals seem well cared for and this tour also showed us the animal hospital used not just for zoo animals, but those found injured elsewhere. Our driver was a great storyteller and made the hour drive go by quickly. I fed the kangaroos and touched a koala without added charges ($3 for feed). Super enjoyable day.

Good but not Great

I was not impressed with the zoo in general. There were not many animals, mostly crocodiles. I got lost several times because there weren't signs everywhere. I never did find the African animals. But I enjoyed the wildlife hospital. It was the best part of the trip and worth seeing.

koala holding, feeding kangaroos, Croc show was amazing! Got a bird show on top of it. grounds well kept seemed like an observatory.

Wonderful driver and visit

Best animal place we’ve ever been. Animal encounters were exceptionally well done. The shows were surprisingly professional too. It was raining the whole day and we didn’t mind at all. Driver was patient and kind!

Amazing

We had the best day! Our driver Steve was the best!! He is such a helpful and nice guy. Have us lots of tips on what to do at the zoo / how to maximise our time. He also narrated the journey there which made the time pass. Australia was as good as expected but Steve went that extra mile and made our experience memorable. Thanks again. Will recommend to everybody :)

Australia zoo

I would highly recommend using this tour operator especially if you're lucky enough to have Steve as your tour guide! Steve was knowledgeable helpful and entertaining. Not only did he take us to the zoo and back but we got alot of information about the areas we went through which we may not have known if we went on our own. The zoo itself was amazing, very organised and the animals looked very well looked after,the show was worth seeing too! Worth spending the extra money but do think the price was very reasonable

We are doing it again.

Steve was an amazing driver! He was very clear on that plan for the day. His recommendation on how to go through the zoo was extremely helpful. The zoo itself was amazing and we had a wonderful time! We ended up deciding to go again and booked the same tour for a few days later.

Quick and efficient, zoo fantastic

Very easy & efficient experience by the tour operator. We were picked up just ahead of time and were on our way thereafter. *Just something to be aware you cannot bring your coffee etc. onto the bus with you. The zoo itself was fantastic. Firstly we stopped at the animal hospital quickly and had the sneak peek, we didn't see any animals being operated on (it's all glass so you can see in), our visit there was brief before we then got dropped off at the zoo entrance. At that point we had about 5.5hrs to get around the zoo, ~9.30am - 3pm. The bus driver also gave us his marked up zoo map to take a photo of, which was his recommendation on which way to go around to see the entire zoo within the time allowance. We loosely followed it and it worked well, it's a big zoo!!! We also attended the tiger and croc shows, which were very good and would recommend. A very enjoyable day out overall, and it made our time super easy to not have to worry about hiring a car etc. and driving ourselves. Something we may have considered if we had more time. Travel time from Brisbane central, roughly an hr there and back, so we were back in the city shortly after 4. Thanks for an enjoyable day!

Perfect Day

This was the best experience of our time in Australia so far! Our driver Steve was absolutely brilliant! He kept us entertained with points of interest along the route and kept us laughing with his wonderful stories! He’s definitely a keeper 😊. Loved the wildlife care facility and the zoo was absolutely amazing!

Great excursion!

Bus/van ride to zoo was nice and driver provided great information and history of Brisbane and the zoo. Zoo was beautifully maintained and staff were friendly and accommodating. You could get so close to animals. Feeding the kangaroos was fun.

Crazy Croc Tour!

Our driver was fun and accommodating, and Australia Zoo was everything we expected and more. We had a large and rowdy group and our driver made it even more fun. Great trip!

Wonderful zoo experience

This is a great experience - and don't miss the show in the arena! We fed and petted kangaroos and petted a koala's rump. Walked through the animal hospital facility. One of our first tour reservations in Australia.

The best zoo I’ve visited

The zoo was amazing and the tour driver was so lovely. Would definitely recommend if you are staying in Brisbane as it’s not too far.

Great Tour, Great Day!

This was a great tour and a wonderful day at the zoo. Steve, our bus driver, picked us up on time and narrated our entire drive. He took great care over all 15 pax, got us there just anfter the zoo opened and gave us tips on how best to see the entire zoo in one day. The zoo was great, and even though we did leave the zoo early (at 3pm), we saw everything we wanted to see. Honestly, it was such a hot day, we were ready to go. I highly recommend the tour for those who only have 1 day in Brisbane and want to see the zoo.

Above and Beyond by Natasha!

Our small group had a great day with Natasha. She was waiting for us early and gave us lots of helpful information on the way to the zoo! The zoo was really special (even though it was super hot that day.) Natasha went out of her way to return a cell phone left by another party in our van. Above and beyond!

Great way to do the Australia Zoo experience

Steve the driver was great. He gave us some tips for making the most of our day at the zoo, told some great stories on the way, and even gave us tips for dealing with venomous snake bites. If you want to go to Australia Zoo but haven’t got your own car, this is the way to do it. Highly recommended!
