A really worthwhile and wonderful experience. Tyler was an excellent guide - clear and thorough safety brief, he instilled confidence in both of us, allowing us to enjoy the not so small achievement of walking over the edge of a cliff! Thank you Tyler.

Our guide Tyler did a wonderful job! My mother and I had so much fun and would do again! Look for the Riverlife building because it is where you will start your experience.

Too expensive for one descent!

This was our family's Christmas present. I bought an abseiling experience for my partner and our three children. While our instructor was lovely, due to the group being too big (10 people), we were only able to descent once which was very disappointing. It wasn't value for money. The groups should be halved or there should be two instructors per group. Two descents would have made the price paid fair, but not one.

Really enjoyed the experience, our instructor Will, was amazing keeping everyone calm and relaxed he was really professional, the people at the check-in were really helpful and friendly

Superb Adventure - highly recommend for any skill level

Highly recommend to everyone. Best experience, from the front desk customer service, to the instructor. Very helpful, informative and patient especially since a few in the group were doing it for the first time. But the instructor made it easy for us, and we went back to do a 2nd round. Everyone was confident by that time. Beautiful view of the city, which you don't see often.

Living on the Cliff Edge

Aged in our sixties along with younger daughter in laws, our family group had an exceptional twilight abseil but can definitely say that without the encouragement and instruction from our tour guide I probably wouldn't have gone over the cliff. Totally recommend this for testing your self resolve. PS must make mention of the office window view.. terrific. Thank you Team Riverlife Adventure you ROCK. 😆

Fantastic experience

My 16 yr son& 3 buddies went on the abseiling adventure. Fantastic instructors ,views were awesome, attention to safety. They had a fantastic time. Thanks again Riverlife team .

Will was an awesome guide. He encouraged us to enjoy the view and guided us with quiet friendly confidence. The event was exceptionally well organised and on time. The location was perfect, with opportunities for lunch nearby afterwards. Highly recommend!

Challenge with a view

A challenge for us, with an 11 and 14 year old and me being an old girl myself. My husband went first over the edge of the cliff and was a star. Our instructor Blake was an absolute gem, so calm and truly wonderful at talking us through what we needed to do. Blake was very supportive and encouraging, and he helped to make our experience happen as well as it did. My husband did a second trip over the edge and was already looking like a professional. It was so good of Blake to let him go again so that I also had the opportunity to see someone from my own family, watching from on the ground below.

A GO FOR GOLD experience

Had an absolute blast. Despite being 56yrs old and being completely terrified to start with, both Mitch and Will (instructors) were amazing. They assisted me with overcoming my fears and clear instruction which ensured a safe and adrenaline filled experience.

Abseil with great view

Great to be able to have the abseil experience with a nice view. Abseiling wasn’t very hard but it could be better with a staff at the bottom to help. Other than that, it was good.

A Great Time

The view and weather was amazing. Our 2 instructors, Will and Oscar, were great. They were very encouraging and helpful. It was an amazing experience and was very enjoyable. Would definitely recommend.

A fantastic activity for young and old!!

Has a fantastic time abseiling kangaroo cliffs! Julien our instructor was fantastic!! Had the patience of a saint! I was the oldest in the group (in my 70’s) and the youngest was only 11 and he safely and calmly got us all down the cliff with smiles on our faces!! Some of us even went down twice! A fantastic day out. Highly recommend this activity and Julien!!

Amazing Abseiling

What a great experience. In our 60's and we like to challenge ourselves. Our guide, George, made the group feel at ease. His instructions were clear and gave me the confidence to step over the edge(the hardest bit). Such a sense of achievement afterwards. Highly recommended.

Definitely worth the thrill!

Booked this on a bit of a whim to entertain my tweenager and was well worth the experience. Maddy was a calm and reassuring instructor who tailored her coaching to the experience of each individual abseiler. Well worth it. Only downside was that promised photos of the experience didn't arrive.

Good activity with stunning views

Mani was very friendly and patient with us abseiling and went out of her way letting us take pictures at the top of the cliff face before descending using her phone. The activity was well organised and we always felt safe. We thououghly enjoyed this and would recommend it to others.

Painful and unprofessional

I don't like to leave negative reviews, however as my experience was only last week, and resulted in pain and injury, I feel it's important to warn others in case they are subject to the same experience. To start at the beginning, prior to my abseil there was no checking that I'd signed an indemnity form (I hadn't). I was then provided with a harness that had no padding, it was simply the webbing without padding (unlike the instructor's fully-padded harness). I've done abseiling several times with professional organisations, and each time has been a wonderful, uplifting experience. However this time I was very disappointed, and was left battered and bruised after a painful abseil with a cheap and nasty, unpadded harness. 4 days later and I still have bruises across my waist/hip area and lower back, which is due to the unpadded webbing taking my full body weight during the abseil. I told the instructor I was in a lot of pain as I stepped over the edge, and he said that was often the case and it would get better as I went fully over the edge. It didn't, and it was a painful, unenjoyable abseil. I had the option to do several abseils, however choses to stop after one due to the pain, and I let the instructor know. When I returned to the Riverwalk building, one of the staff asked me how it had gone, and I said terrible and explained about the lack of padding and the pain - and that the instructor's harness had been fully padded. He told me it was because padded harnesses are too expensive. From my point of view they will be building a customer base of unhappy, negative reviews and this will impact their business significantly. Padded harness would save them money in the end. As

an unusual thing to do in a city !

I was only in Brisbane for a couple of days so wanted something a bit different. Really I wanted to do climbing but this was close enough ! There were quite a few of us in the group, instructions were clear and concise and the chap doing it (who's name I have forgotten) was very approachable and patient from what I saw. It was not made clear that there is quite a walk from the reception to the bottom of the stairs to get up to the top of the climb, obviously the climb up is quite steep, but that was pretty obvious !! There is very little shade while you wait but suntan lotion is offered and there is a water fountain by the road. I went fairly early in the group and the sun had gone in but I wouldn't have been that happy standing for 30/40 minutes in the Brisbane sun... This was a good and unusual thing to do in a new city, so would recommend it.

An Awesome First Abseiling Experience

We had a great Abseiling Experience with Mani. She was calm and very encouraging and made sure each one of us in the group felt safe to climb down the 20m cliff with ease and safely. Would definitely do it again.

Holiday experience to remember!!

My daughter and I abseiled together and it was an amazing experience. It was her first time abseiling and she loved it!! Our instructor Matt L was great, he explained everything and was very professional. Thankyou Matt and Riverlife 🙂

Abeiling was great!

The abseiling was great. I went mid-week for a smaller group size and was able to have more goes. Jen the instructor was really great - patient, friendly and a wealth of experience! Happy to recommend to friends and visitors.

Must do this activity, u feel like u r the hollywood hero of movie😂 Very safe and amazing, u can do max 2round. I get more courage, when i saw little school kids are doing same activity🤣🧗‍♀️

You can do it!!

I was seriously considering chickening out but the instructor was very encouraging and made me feel safe. Highly recommend this experience to get out of your comfort zone!! Very well organised and great experience all round.

Good experience but not enough

It was a good experience and Lachlan who was out instructor was very knowledgeable and helpful. I’ve never done abseiling before so he helped make me feel safe. I do think however that the money was not quite worth the experience as the group was too large for individuals to get a good amount of experience.

Amazing experience, staff there is fabulous and experienced. No need to worry, just be brave and follow guideline from the tutor. I'd like to go another time.

Lochie was so helpful and encouraged us to go down the cliff wall. We did it such a feeling of achievement. The whole crew and business were excellent.

The Amazing Race Road Block challenge

Had an "Amazing Race Road Block" experience abseiling down Kangaroo Point cliff with the support and professional guide from Harry. Everything was organised and well set up, Harry was very patient and encouraging. Leaning backwards over the cliff edge I faced my fears and made it to the ground on my fourth attempt. Awesome experience for all!

Fabulous 13th birthday present for my grandson.

Abseiling down the Kangaroo Point cliffs was my birthday present to my 13 year old grandson. He loved the experience. The guide was very professional and supportive, his explanations clear and precise. His friendly manner helped my grandson feel confident. The memories and photos of this adventure experience will last a lifetime.

Fabulous experience!

We had a fantastic experience abseiling at Kangaroo Point Cliffs. A professional and friendly experience, Casper guided us through the experience, calmed our fears and helped us conquer the cliffs. He gave clear instructions and made the experience super fun. We loved the abseiling and would highly recommend to anyone wanted with a sense of adventure.

A cool way to see the city

Brilliant experience! The location is lovely, with an amazing view which you enjoy when you're preparing for your descend. Jen, the instructor, was very attentive to the different levels of experience and perhaps confidence, and endured that everyone in the group felt save. Definitely recommend this activity to see the city in a different way and then stroll around Kangaroo Point and Southbank afterwards.

Good experience

It was a good experience, the only negative is it would be good to have at least a second go, I wasn’t happy about that. The instructors experience was second to none, and very good at teaching you.

Awesome abseiling at Kangaroo Point with Riverlife!

The second time down was more enjoyable as I was able to relax and listen and abseil down. Enjoyable views while waiting. If going in a group, bring water you can leave on bench tables. Julian was very informative and knowledgeable, we felt confident and safe. Maybe to encourage and builf confidence, allow experienced abseiling people to go first so inexperienced people can watch and learn. Great experience!
