Brighton i360 Viewing Tower - Journey

Really cool half-hour or so x

Other half is a bit scared of heights so I booked it at the last minute so he couldn't change his mind. What an amazing experience with spectacular views of the whole of Brighton. Was a little unnerving but once your brain kicks in that you are safe it's super cool experience. He didn't leave his chair but did it anyway xx

Fantastic

The experience is as good as you can imagine, especially if you catch the sunset. However, the best part of it was the staff: Paul was extremely helpful and made the experience an absolute treat.

Give it a try it's worth it on a clear day!

Brilliant smooth journey into the sky great 360 views (of course!) really enjoyed the trip it was a clear day so could see loads.Would definately recommend.

The high with no low

The whole experience was top drawer, the staff are all very lovely, the trip was incredible, the views were incredible and it isn’t expensive!

Viewing tower

The views were amazing took the family for a day out and all were impressed. would recommend anyone to visit the tower. Even on the Saturday where you might think they were busy.

Panoramic view of Brighton

Very quiet weekday so easily booked, not sure how easy it would be to book when it’s busy there. It’s quite a lot of money for what it is and could be made better with headsets giving a history of the area or a guide talking while we ascended. Staff were pleasant, friendly and professional. No need to book and pay the exorbitant fee for drinks as you can buy from the bar anyway. They don’t stock bottles of water though, only cans!!! Around 30 people in our ride but not sure of maximum number, may be worth checking this out for when the crowds descend summer months. Great views but with little or no information what we were seeing

Could be super - in right circumstances

We took another couple with us on this ride as a part-gift for B’s 70th birthday. Booking was efficient, staff were friendly on arrival and it was a beautiful day. And then we were joined by a school party of around 30 children, aged about 10. They were having a fun day out - but at the expense of everyone else’s pleasure. In a pod - the noise levels were amazing. We had paid for the ride plus drink - so not a cheap half-hour. The bar lady apologised to my husband when he got our drinks, although he had not actually complained to her. Surely it would be possible to let the children have a ride to themselves when it is not that busy - and it was not busy yesterday. In normal circumstances, this i360 ride would be an excellent thing to do. But, if you are planning to do this, maybe enquire if they have a school booking at your chosen time. I apologise for complaining and yes, I do like children, at the right place and time!

Not a great experience

Visited Brighton over the Bank Holiday weekend and booked a 2pm ticket in the morning for us to go on the i360. We arrived at 1.50pm to be told that we had missed the 2pm ride and that we will need to wait 30minutes in the queue for the next ride. We felt that we had to stay in the queue for the duration as a) we did not want to lose our place in the queue as we was first in line and b) did not want to leave and come back to be told the same thing. I was told that the ride was at maximum capacity but when everyone eventually boarded you could clearly see that there was plenty of space to allow those who actually booked for 2pm to board. I felt that if you book something for a specific time then you should not be told that it is at maximum capacity and to wait over half an hour for the next ride. What is the point of booking. It may as well of been first come, first served. They should maybe have a look at their online booking system and have something in place that tells customers that any particular time slot is at maximum capacity so that people know and can book an alternative slot instead of being told to wait for over half an hour.

Brilliant!

We all had a brilliant time. The last time I went on the i360 was on the opening day in August 2016 and it was even better than I remembered.

Lovely view.

It was a delightful trip up and the view was gorgeous. It was a fun half hour. As others have said, it is pricy, but it's a unique experience.

Great and Unique Experience

My friend and I and our 7 year olds got combined tickets for this and the Upside Down House, which were next to each other across a paved area. This ticket was good value as we were visiting for 3 nights and staying in an Airnb apartment that was close to the seafront and planned to do both things. My friend and I were excited to do this, but our 7 year olds were a bit scared and just wanted to stay on the beach. Once we were on it we all enjoyed it though. There were really interesting and different views than we have seen before on other viewing platforms. Even though it was full it was easy to walk around and see everything and there was lots of space. We managed to get seats, but also walked around to see all views. The whole experience is really nice and staff were friendly and helpful. The boarding area has information on the pod and the build.

Views okay, service exceptional.

My wife, daughter, mum and mother-in-law took a trip on the i360 then enjoyed afternoon tea. My daughter (4 years old) was scared to go up until I said that it was an alternative "Pup tower". Then she was super excited to go! The views were okay but there really isn't much to see! All staff that we met were friendly and welcoming. Special mention to Georgia & Jo in the cafe who hosted our afternoon tea. They were incredibly friendly and completely accommodating my daughter's severe milk allergy. Thank you for a lovely experience. 😁 The food was really tasty and the portion sizes were beyond expectations! 😋

A total rip off!!!

A great view however you don’t get very long for the price you pay. I felt it was overpriced and so is the bar and snacks! As soon as you get to the top it’s already coming down again and very quickly. Do not feel like we had value for money at all!! My kids were really thirsty and I asked for some tap water, which they did not have and I wasn’t paying extortion prices for a small can of water!!

360 view

I360 is a good experience and luckily we had a clear day so could see for literally miles . My 2 bug bears would be the price £20 is expensive and half the price would be better. The other bug bear is the price of drinks etc once on it . My son had a glass of Diet Coke which was poured from a tiny bottle filled up with ice and was £3.50 . But apart from that the view was amazing

Book on line to save a little bit of money. Friendly staff. Very clean and roomy. Good views until it poured down. Very smooth ride.

It’s all about the view, a few top tips

There is something about the sea, its ever changing form, if you add to this a different perspective of the heigh from Brighton’s i360, you are in for a treat. I guess when I arrived I didn’t know what to expect, the simple beauty of the column when the viewing platform is at ground level is architecture simplicity. When you arrive and pass through security and see the viewing platform up close mirrored on the underside to reflect all the light and scenery around it… you can see that a lot of thought has gone in to the design from all angles. Top tips #Buy you tickets on line they are cheaper # you will pass through airport style security, but not the same restrictions. As you can carry liquids You need to be in the queue 20mins before your “flight” The flight is about 30 mins All the staff are super helpful if you have any questions. When it is time to board, there is a bit of a rush when the doors open, but even on a full flight there is plenty of space inside Top tips # do stand in one place, each side of the pod provides such amazing views enjoy each and every angle

Exciting value for money and brilliant creme tea

My partner booked this for me as a birthday treat, we really enjoyed the whole experience and absolutely loved the creme tea afterwards, not too busy and plenty of room to move around the pod to view the landscape, I'd recommend moving around as the pod itself doesn't actually spin 360 degrees, great gift and a great experience

Fabulous Sunset & Views

Booked the 360 Walk but a cancelled train made me miss it. All of the staff were fantastic though and I was able to enjoy the Sunset from 450ft with a glass of something fizzy! Fabulous 360 views of Brighton and the sunset was amazing. Definitely would put this top of the list when visiting Brighton!

I360–great fun

A great way to view Brighton. I would recommend it to anyone. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Can also have a few drinks while up there.

Great views

Did the drinks package and enjoyed a lovely glass of Nyetimber on our journey. Great views and not that busy. Very clean washrooms.

What a great experience. Definitely should be longer. Fantastic views, as expected. Watching some of the festival events from my on high was an extra bonus. A little expensive for a family of six ! Perhaps should offer family discounts Especially single parent families

Awesome experience

It was a spontaneous decision for me to visit Brighton, so I booked a ticket for the Brighton i360. I initially planned to just visit the beach, but exploring the city from the i360 turned out to be an incredibly fulfilling experience with its beautiful views. I booked the 10:30am slot, and it wasn't busy. The experience of seeing the entire city was wonderful, and the staff were excellent, welcoming everyone with warm smiles. As a solo traveler, it's often challenging to get a photo with a full view rather than just a selfie, but one of the staff members, Nick, kindly offered to take my picture. It turned out to be one of the best photos I've ever had, showcasing his skill and talent.

Great views of Brighton, the sea and the old West Pier

We invited some of our guests who’d never been to Brighton from a locally held event to go on the i360 and they loved it. It was a great way for them to see Brighton and they all want to come back…

Great view

Really enjoyed our trip up the i360. A great view of Brighton & Hove and you can see for miles. The drinks were great, even if a little expensive. I would absolutely recommend it.

Shambles

Didn't get to go on the i360 . Staff were absolutely shocking no one seem to have a clue wot they were doing or new wot they were doing i360 broken down told to go back at 14.00 , then to go back at 15.00. Then to be told to go back at 17.30 . Had no email since to explain wots going to happen as Didn't won't a refund want my ticket extended. So will be calling them in the week.

Something to do on a clear day

Good views but tower does not revolve. So you have to walk about. Buy on road office as there is no lift to lower level. If you are already on lower promenade steps are steep to entry level on street. Whilst it stops at the lower level to unload boarding was not offerred to disabled passengers. So at least one way you have get lower to higher. In fact a lot of Brighton isnt disabled friendly.Also the glass is not non reflective so taking pictures is not easy.

Stunning views and friendly staff

This is a beautiful experience. The views are stunning, the light lovely and the staff friendly and helpful. I’ve taken visitors up the i360 twice in three weeks and would happily do so again next week. Highly recommended.

Faulty mechanism!

Faulty door closing mechanism so we weren’t able to board! I’m sure it’s a great experience but will have to try another time!’

Great experience and amazing views! It will be great to be opened longer so you can have a chance to catch the sunset...I bet the sunset there is more than amazing!

Brighton with panoramic views

At check in there is an area to sit & grab a coffee, it’s all very friendly & professionally run, onboard there is a bar, seats, & plenty of space to walk around, the views on a clear day are amazing, we really enjoyed our experience & highly recommend when visiting Brighton

Unique Experience

Very interesting and unique experience. Best possible day considering there was sunlight the whole day and the sceneries on top of the tower were amazing.

Breathtaking views across Brighton

My husband and I are both afraid of heights, but decided to brave the i360 for our anniversary. We are so glad we did! The view from the top is breathtaking and not as scary as I thought it would be! I would definitely recommend

I360 brighton

I am very happy to go up in the i360 brighton. It's unique expérience. Matteo has welcoming us. Very good worker with smile. I recommend it.

Sight seeing

Enjoyed the experience! Unfortunately the weather was cloudy and rainy so unable to see as far as we would have liked. Security is very slow but one felt very safe and secure. I'd imagine good views on a clear sunny day.

Absolutely brilliant

Loved every minute of it, and vasw mateo Taylor was absolutely brilliant made the journey fun getting the crowds going and had a little dance with him fantastic man 💙

Recommended Visit

I booked a cream tea trip for our Anniversary, Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the tower journey lovely, views fantastic. My husband is a wheelchair user, staff were super helpful Cream tea was really lovely & we were made to feel welcome & special - they had made a card for us on our reserved table, lovely. The only thing that let this trip down was the Accessible toilet, it is very small & I struggled to help my husband with the wheelchair - I would recommend combining the loo with the baby change loo next to it!

Worth it

Nice views worth doing once, well staffed and has a bar which is a little eye watering, only a few seats so worth getting to the front of the Que . Views are really nice with some signs to help you pick out key landmarks, can be hired would be good for a break on a hen/stag to help break up the more full on activities

Lack of information and delays spoilt the experience!

On Friday 19 April we booked three anytime tickets for I360 to take a visitor. My husband and I had been before a few years ago and had a great experience. This time however was very disappointing. It was the first day that a new boarding from the upper deck was in place and there was an issue with the gates which caused a long delay. There was no where to wait in the warm. We eventually we got on the flight and that bit was ok and whilst at the high point a staff member did give a brief insight into the views. However at our last visit some years ago (under BA sponsorship) we had been sat down before boarding and treated to a video of how the i360 was conceived, designed and built and the bit about the old pier and its entrances etc, which was very interesting. We were also able to view photographic exhibition display of same. We were expecting this again and I had also seen people reviewing that and know of someone in the summer who did actually have access to the displays. I asked a member of staff when this would happen for us and was told that despite "working there for 2 years they did not recall that ever happening but that there was a room with photos so they would check if we could go in". However that room was locked because there had been a function there the day before so we could not see anything else. When we finished we were just channelled through the shop and through the cafe and back out into the cold. Why has the information element been passed over? It is was a very interesting aspect for visitors and on Friday it just felt you were testing a new herding process for when it gets busy with crowds at our expense. Come on I360 and Nyetimber- you have lost your way with this - yes - you have to please everyone and not everyone wants to know detail but by eliminating the information experience you've lost integrity of the iconic building in favour of commercialisation and that is very sad. We would not recommend this to anyone else now. All very jaded and over-priced for a very short experience. Sorry.

On top of the POD for the 3601 walk expierence and WOW... incredible.

My partner and I paid for the 360i walk expierence and it was incredible. We were a little nervous but the journey from start to finish was very friendly, professional and safe. The team on the ground really looked after us, guiding to the briefing area. Josh our safety lead and guide went through the safely briefing journey with the upmost professionalism and knowledgeability, really put us as ease. Once we climbed out (small ladder to climb but very safe) on top of the pod the views across brighton, the coast and surrounding countryside are a once in a life time expierence to see. You are even allowed to take your own phone up for photos ( attached to you in a clear plastic case with a lanyard, very clever). I can't recommend this expierence enough. Nice experience

The ladies at the reception were lovely. We were late, but they were able to rebook us again. Unfortunately it was raining when we went, however the views were lovely. I'm sure it's even nicer when the sun is out.

Day trip to Brighton

Been intending to.do.this experience ever since it opened. So on a days leave, came from Suffolk to travel the i360 viewing tower. Unfortunately the weather made the experience a bit of a disappointment but the actual activity was worth the journey.

Fabulous

Absolutely amazing! Great views, great drinks. Perfect time of year…had it all to ourselves! Roger was a wonderful bartender, host and guide - just the best!!!
