Amazing day out

Calu was kind, welcoming, informative, professional and really relaxed. Couldn't stop smiling on the full day tour, amazing, relaxing and personalised. We got to see amazing off road sites with hardly any other tourists, seeing sharks, turtles, amazing beaches with a chance to swim. He arranged a vegetarian lunch for us, took photos, gave us information throughout and the tour was so varied and interesting. He was a great driver and made us feel very safe at all times. We were in paradise today, had the best time and so grateful to the wonderful Calu.

Private Tour, Good Guide

Booked a private tour with just the two of us so were able to sit in comfort inside. Personally would not like to sit in the back for both comfort and health and safety reasons. Good guide, took us to see turtles (from a distance) even though technically not the season.

Amazing experience

We had a great time exploring this beautiful and wild island. Calu is a great guide and great human. We learnt a lot about local people, culture and had opportunity to taste authentic local food in Boca Beach. Warmly recommend to choose this trip instead of those organised by chain tour operators.

Absolutely recommended!

Calu is very friendly, an awesome guide and probably the best on the island. We did a private tour for two, a full day, and it was just fantastic. Beautiful beaches, sand dunes, and no other tourists around – just us and nature. Simply perfect! Very prompt and clear communication ahead of the tour as well.

Unforgettable magical landscape

Outstanding tour with breathtaking views and excellent attentive guide. Unfortunately we didn’t visit shark bay but we saw turtles, visited a small village, swam in Santa Monica beach and took amazing pictures in Chaves sand dunes. The ride was extremely fun sitting outside on a 4x4 van adventurous itself.

Fantastic way of discover Cape Verde

Amazing half day tour! Calum was very friendly and efficient! Everything was so good! He shows us beautiful beaches and stoped at Santa Monica beach and stayed there for around 1 hr. Really recommend this tour/ company!

Amazing experience

Absolutely amazing!! The tour was fantastic, we got to see the whole island and it's absolutely beautiful. Jason was our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable and drove so well considering the bumpy off reading to get to the tourist attractions. I would highly recommend this tour, well worth the money!!! Loved it!!!

Calu sent us whatsapp texts prior to our pickup & arrived promptly taking us from our hotel for a fantastic full day tour of Boa Vista, stopping at all the main sites finishing at the beautiful Santa Monica beach for a short walk over the sand dunes & swim in the vibrant turquoise waters. Calu was friendly & informative throughout the tour, also taking pictures / video with his drone on request.

Boa Vista Island tour with Calu

Our day trip around Boa Vista was great. Calu was a great guide and was knowledgeable about the places we visited. Good fun on the back of the jeep and some fantastic views of the island. This trip was private with just the four of us on the jeep. Definitely had a great day.

Excellent local knowledge and bespoke tour!

Calu gave an excellent half day tour of the Island. We visited the local town and purchased some souvenirs, visited the beautiful Santa Monica beach where we were the only ones visiting. I was nice to see a local fisherman unloading the days catch to sell on. We also saw 2 Osprey (very close up), a lemon shark, some green turtles feeding on seaweed and even a cute little budgie asleep on the sand. Nothing was too much trouble for a Ali, if we wanted to stop and take photos, we just let him know. My teenage boys loved riding on the back of the truck! Recommend Calu to anyone!

Boa Vista: the place of the most beautiful people

Calu is the nicest and kind person! He waited for us with a smile and during the entire day he made us feel comfortable and relaxed . He did not rush, let us enjoy the tour with our own pace. He took us to these amazing places that can make you cry because of their beauty! He was very attentive and even give his flip flops to my daughter who decided she was going to wear sportswear 🫣 Calu speaks English so so well, and he is so knowledgeable of the Island and its past and present history. We loved every minute and only hope we will come back one day. We want to return and stay in one of the guesthouses in Sal Rei and definitely will contact Calu when we come back, I am sure there are so many other amazing places that we did not have time to explore. Book him with confidence, he is honest and kind!

Great tour

Awesome tour !!! Great fun and exceeding expectations. No way to experience the island like this if you try to do it on your own.

Cannot recommend Calutours highly enough

From the moment he picked us up from our hotel till he dropped us off again we cannot recommend Calu and his personalised Boa Vista tours highly enough. We wanted to see all the usual touristy stuff on the Island but not as a group and to also get a bit of an insight of the real Island and it's lovely local people too. We were not disappointed and wherever we went it was always at our pace for however long we wanted to stay anywhere. And as we showed a keen interest, he also then found us some incredible wildlife sights too including sharks, turtles and ospreys. Calu is from the Island and his love for it is clearly evident and what he doesn't know or where to go isn't worth knowing or doing which made the day so very enjoyable. Just awesome!!

It was one of the best tours in my life. The route was flexible and we had many nice chats with our driver. I think there is no better way to see the beautiful nature of Boa Vista in just one day. Thank you. PS: you get some nice shots of you and the landscape with a drone here :))

So much joy!

We really recommend it, it was a lot of fun! We went for the half-day but we had so much fun we decided to extend it, and we went for a full day! It was so worth it! So if you want to get the most out of Boa vista the full day is the best choice =)

An amazing day trip

Calu showed us the most beautiful places on Boa Vista, we enjoyed an excellent lunch at a beautiful beach bar. Calu had very competent answers to all our questions, he knows Boa Vista like the back of his hand. His shots with the drone are a great memory for us. We can recommend the day trip to everyone! Tour tailored

We took a private tour to visit the northern area of the island. We visited the stranded boat, the villages of the North and the Viana Desert. As we were with a 4-year-old child and a 1-year-old baby, we arranged a private tour that went beautifully. We were all four inside the pick-up. Calu was very professional and concerned with us from the time of the markup and throughout the entire route. The route and the stops were tailored to us, respecting the children's rhythm. We stopped to take pictures at various points of the route, took a break to refresh and drink a fresh drink in one of the villages of the North. We liked it and recommend it.

The best guide in Spanish

Great choice. Guide punctual, friendly and familiar. Tour very well thought out, answered all our doubts and gave us advice and for the rest of our days on the island. Lunch in a paradise place exquisite grilled fish. Amazing how well he spoke Spanish. In short a 10.

Unforgettable individual excursion

We had a very private, individual trip with Carlos (Calu), the best, most personable guide. He introduced us to life, the people and nature on Boa Vista. An unforgettable experience! We'd love to do it again! On the half-day tour you have to choose between north or south. We spontaneously decided on the south when we were picked up and were not disappointed.

I really loved the private tour to the North of the island of Boa Vista with my (now) Amigo Calu. It was a coincidence that I found this agency and I was ready to give up. Since I had contacted three others before. They all ended up for this or that reason (it's not worth going into details) not making the trip. The excursion was spectacular and very peaceful. It was actually the first one I did where the meaning "No Stress" was present. And I've done other "No Stress" ones but they should be called "All Stress Inclusive". Calu is an exceptional person, very calm, fun and knows how to be (nothing evasive and everything was simply pleasant on a communicational level) Apart from the program that includes the stranded cargo ship, the Viana desert, the picturesque villages, Rabil, etc., etc. ... we had a spectacular moment of socializing in one of the picturesque villages, specifically in a tavern (so rich grogues). Wir haben es sehr genossen eine private Tour nur für uns zu haben und an die verschiedensten Orte von Boa Vista zu kommen. Calu hat dadurch das er Einheimischer ist ein enormes Wissen und beantwortet sämtliche Fragen. Er brachte uns unter anderem zu entlegenen Plätzen und einheimischen Restaurants, welche wir sehr empfehlen. Dort kann man ohne Sorge jedes Gericht genießen. Vor allem den frischen Fisch. Wer großen Wert auf Individualität legt ist bei Calu in den richtigen Händen,ganz nach dem Motto "no stress"

Wohlfühleffekt mit vile erlebten

Wir waren im Oktober 2022 auf Boa Vista und entschieden uns, für einige Unternehmungen mit Calu. Er verstand es sehr gut, einem das zu vermitteln, was wir uns von dem Urlaub auf Boa Vista erwünscht haben. Wirklich tolle Ausflüge, wobei der Oktober schon hohe Temperaturen aufwies. Boa Vista, für uns ein Ort zum Relaxen. Die Ausflüge mit Calu waren eine gute Abwechselung professionelle Informationen aus erster Hand über die einheimische Geschichte der Kapverdianer und den schönen Orten auf Boa Vista zu bekommen. Natürlich kam das leibliche Wohl auch nie zu kurz. Immer wieder gerne, paßte alles.
