We booked a private, full day tour to the Blue Mountains- Mike was a wonderful guide and showed us some of the best spots around. We would highly recommend anyone visiting the Blue Mountains to book this tour with Mike!

We had a delightful day at the Blue Mountains. Our guide, Mike, was a local expert whose deep knowledge made each stop along the journey uniquely special. It truly was an unforgettable experience.

Beautiful mountains

Really enjoyed Featherdale wildlife park, seeing the blue mountains from the various Lookout points and walking around the national park. The driver was very knowlegable and friendly. For us scenic world was too much like a theme park being rallied around in queues with lots and lots of other people. If you prefer to see the blue mountains focus more on the national park side.

Delightful!

James was a fantastic guide. I believe the animals knew him at Featherdale. He took us to a few off script views of the mountains that were breathtaking. The road travel was a bit long but not boring. I highly recommend this tour.

Great day in the Blue Mountains

A must do while in Sydney. The blue mountains were extraordinary and the Featherdale Zoo exceeded expectations with up close animal encounters.

An enjoyable day outside of Sydney

We enjoyed a fun day with Michael, Our stop at the Featherdale Animal Park was well worth the extra time. Koala bears were extra special and feeding the kangaroo's was enjoyed by all of us, Blue Mountains were awesome. Mike knew just where to take us, He was knowledgeable and easy to listen to. It was a lovely day and nice to get away from the hub bub of Sydney, Linda F., California

Great trip and great tour guide. Perfect if you to see the greatest hits in one day. Tour guide showed us hidden gems. And one of them in Shelly Bay. Lunch at Chocolate Fish cafe was really nice. Great food and hospitality. Trip is highly recommended.

Great trip and stunning views

We had Mike as our driver. Very easy going and knowledgeable. We did different walks, to see Blue Mountains from several angles. The Three sisters were magnificent. Featherdale Wildlife park was also really nice, to see animals up close. We chose the Parramatta River cruise, back to Sydney. Really nice. Nice to see the Sydney skyldnere approaching. .

Stunning tour of the beautiful blue mountains

Fantastic tour to the blue mountains. Despitecpoor weather we gsined a real sense of the scale and beauty of the area. Mike, our guide/driver had expert knowledge and pointed out mant interesting facts. We had a coffee stop and a lunch break in two of the beautiful villages abd tine to look roundcthe local areas and shops. We also vidited Scenic World. I eoukd recommend this private tour.

Fabulous Blue MountainTour

Fabulous tour of the Blue Mountains with Mike from 'Go Beyond Tours'. Despite poor weather we managed to visit several key lookput points in the Blue Mountains and some beautiful towns. Plenty of time to take in coffee and a lovely lunch. We learned so much about the area on the tour with Mike's extensive local knowledge. I would highly recommend this private tour.

Great Day in the Blue Mountains

My group had a wonderful day with Mike in the Blue Mountains. The visit to Featherdale Wildlife Park was definitely a highlight! When visiting Sydney, a day trip to the Blue Mountains is a must!

Absolutely amazing!

James was our driver and he was amazing! He knew everyone we ran into so we got the inside scoop on things. Our first stop was Featherdale Zoo and we had the best time there. Even the animals knew and responded to James. James told us information about each animal and bird we saw. This was the highlight of my day. Next was Three Sisters but fog had set in so we couldn’t see. James went back there after Scenic World but we still couldn’t see. After returning to Sydney we asked James if he would take us by Marsh Cove so we could see where NCIS Sydney is filmed. We were able to see enough that we went back the next day. If you are considering a trip to the Blue Mountains be sure to do so through Viator. THEY ARE AMAZING FROM START TO FINISH!! Well done matey!

Perfect Blue Mountains day

James was knowledgeable, personable and respectful of time and our interests. We were never rushed and felt he guided us in maximizing our time at each stop. He even insured we were safely on the correct ferry back to Darling Harbor to create a memorable finish to a great day.

Amazing Day Trip!

This was such an amazing day trip from Sydney! Our guide, James, was very friendly & knowledgeable. We learned a lot of interesting facts about the history of the Blue Mountains and all of the wildlife around. James was very quick to improvise our plans throughout the day so that we got a chance to see everything we were hoping to. Highly recommend!!

Great daytrip

Very nice daydrip. It allowed us to see the most interesting sites with a good schedule. James was a very kind and professional guide. The private tour is a plus. We could visit places at our own rythm and James fully adapted to it.

Drive through Blue Mountains

Very fun! Got to see a lot of the iconic sights. Not a lot of time for true hiking or exploring. This trip is mostly a scenic drive to see the mountains. Stopped for lunch which was very tasty.

Expensive but a good day.

Driver (James) was excellent and knowledgable. Made the effort to find the Zigzag railway which I had mentioned.

Our guide was very helpful and informative. He had answers to all the questions we had. It was one of our highlights of the Sydney area.

Great, but definitely include the Featherdale Animal Park. It is an extra charge but 100% worth it .

Best day in Australia!

Mike was the perfect tour guide for our visit to Featherdale and the Blue Mountains. Our group included an animal loving teenage girl, her daredevil dad, and her grandparents. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the trip and it will be remembered as a highlight of our visit to Australia!

Amazing tour of some beautiful sites! Mike was a fantastic guide and tailored the tour so that we could see the things we were most interested in. Highly recommend this tour!!

Avoid that expérience

Very expensive , better rent your own car , car wasn’t confortable. The driver was nice but he was rushing us , he start by tell it us we need to leave at 2.30 and we have to call the company to confirm we booked a ten hours tour . We wanted to see more but he wasn’t happy and we had to leave at 3.30 anyway!

Disgruntled - Beware

I have never left a review and it has taken me many months and much encouragement to do so. After much homework I booked and paid for a private blue mountains tour 4 months in advance. The night before I was contacted by Mike to say there was a different driver. I was disappointed as Mike had such great reviews. This tour was in November 2022. I have never been on such a bad tour in my life- it was not a tour rather a poor Uber ride. I didn’t complain to him as he had low self esteem, was pleasant and trying but just very simple. We stopped at a green light, went through a red light, swerved lots, listened to private phone calls, heard about other clients of his who said that his tour was the worst they had been on in the world and heard all about his private life. I just wanted to get home safely. My daughter was scared. We didn’t go to the wildlife park as we wanted to spend more time in the blue mountains. This was not to be and we were back in Sydney 2 hours early. He was better as a Sydney Uber driver! We asked to eat at somewhere more scenic in the blue mountains but this was not possible- there was no choice. We waited whilst he looked up directions to his next lookout. We would have been far better off on a group tour and actually had a tour rather than a non knowledgeable driver, which would also have been far cheaper. I discussed this with Mike and gave him plenty of opportunity to get back to me and he has ignored me. It was not the driver’s fault but Mike should never have put him or us in that position.

Good tour, but some items questionable!

Great tour and info, driver of car was questionable. Also the title of the tour is miss leading when we booked this we thought we were paying for the blue mountain tour and featherdale zoo. Turns out you have to pay extra for the zoo later.

Mike was fantastic!

Mike was awesome! No need to look any further. He took great care of us and was extremely good to our 11 month old son! Fantastic tour!

A terrific day getting away from the city

Great communication from the start. From the moment Mike met us at the Circular Quay, to MANY hours later, we had a great final day in Australia in the Blue Mountains. The Featherdale Animal park was a highlight, the trip west and the stops we made were well timed, informative and just plain fun. We LOVED Scenic World and Katoomba. While we had a full day and were ready to get back to catch an early morning flight to LA, Mike asked, " Where do you want to go next?" He's a gem!

Fun Day in the Blue Mountains

Enjoyable day spent with our tour guide, James, touring the Blue Mountains. Selected the Featherdale Animal Park Option and highly recommend adding it during the tour. Communication leading up to the tour date was good and the tour itself was well worth the price. Would recommend doing this tour again if you have a day to explore the area outside Sydney.

Beautiful Blue Mountains

We had a perfect day in the Blue Mountains thanks to Mike of Go Beyond Tours. We’d communicated in email prior to coming to Sydney, and he arranged our day to include exactly what we wanted to see and do, even managing to show us an additional unexpected lookout or two, which we appreciated. He made it easy to see and do things, keeping in mind our physical abilities and taking care of logistics, so that all we had to do was enjoy. He is friendly, engaging and knowledgeable. We would definitely do another tour with Mke and highly recommend Go Beyond Tours to anyone visiting Sydney.

We had great weather and our driver Mike was fantastic. The views in the Blue Mountains are amazing and we had a great lunch at the RSL in the local town with our driver. It was a great day trip and we would do it again next time we go to Sydney

Ghosting

I contacted Mike to enquire about a tour I’d like to have had to the blue mountains. He replied straight away saying that the dates I required where available. He asked how many it was for. I replied, I told him I was a solo traveler, and that I’d be happy to join a group (I’ve seen similar solo travellers post reviews recently on trip advisor). I heard nothing… absolutely nothing back! I left it a couple of days, allowing for Mike to reply, but still nothing. I sent another message asking for an update to my enquiry, to which I received an immediate reply telling me, he takes out a minimum of 2 guests, and it was for private tours only! I would have really appreciated a reply to my original enquiry at the start. I thought it was unprofessional and disappointing, not to mention almost feeling slightly discriminated. Mike, May I suggest if you have enquiries that don’t suit your narrative, be responsive at the time and be honest. Don’t ghost.

Fun with friends

Our Guide Mike went out of his way to make this trip very meaningful. Traveling with 2 other couples we were taken to see all the special areas and views. Most wonderful day thank you.

Great Experience

Mike picked us up from the hotel and drove us to the Feather Dale wildlife park where he escorted us into the park and helped us orient to see the exhibits. It was a great start because there were only Australian animals present. After spending about an hour and a half wandering on our own, he drove us to Lincolns rock overlook for fantastic views of the Valley. Although there were many clouds, they formed a “flow“through the valley which seemed quite unique. We then had lunch at a small diner in Katumba before going on to scenic world. Throughout the drives, Mike offered wonderful explanation and commentary about Australian customs, life styles, and the places we would see. He willingly and completely answered all questions and made the day not only enjoyable but educational as well.

Love the blue mountains

The blue mountains was a spectacular sight and my kids loved the animal park where they got to feed the kangaroos. James our guide was a walking history textbook. Really impressed with his knowledge and sense of humor. Totally enjoyed the day.

Had a great trip in spite of the weather

We took a trip with Michael to the Blue Mountains with a stop at the Featherdale Animal Sanctuary. The weather was awful, rainy and foggy. That did not stop us from having a good trip. Featherdale was incredible and Michael made sure we had time to enjoy that visit. Unfortunately trhe weather did not cooperate for good sightseeing in the mountains, but Michael did his best to give us a good day trip . He took us to a lovely restaurant for lunch which would have had a great view. Stopped in 2 small towns so we could do a little shopping and finally found a spot to stop where we could get a glimpse of the views that we had hoped to see. So in spite of the miserable weather, we had a good day and enjoyed his knowledge of the area.

A welcome respite between cruises (B2B)

This tour was booked as Blue Mountains: Private Tour/Featherdale Wildlife Park. Prior to booking I reached out to Mike via email. His response was timely; despite the time difference. Pick up/drop off at Sydney Cruise Port as we arranged this as a shore excursion. He tailors the tour based on the abilities of his clients. Mike is very knowledgeable about the Blue Mountains and surrounding areas. We liked that he was informative and personable. We had an interesting experience with some hikers from Denmark, but I will let him tell you about that. We enjoyed the day and recommend his service.
