Not worth the money !!!

Went with the family end of May school holiday. Ages 10-17 plus 4 adults. Cost £160 !! Very dissapointing. The show lasted aprox. 2 hrs. A lot of it was taken up with the clown and audience participation. With around 5 proper acts. One of the worst ones I've been too sadly. Would not recommend. Probably better for small children although I don't think they would understand some of the clown/audience stuff

Brilliant show, dont try to miss it.

Brilliant show and very interesting. Kids loved it and very fun for us all. Birthday shout outs very apt as my daughter was called. No dull moment at all, never to be missed when visiting Blackpool.

Can’t wait to come back!

We visited the circus during May Half Term, we didn’t have any expectations but my goodness it was fantastic! Every act was brilliant and kept us captivated. The clowns (I’m usually not a huge fan) were hilarious and I found myself giggling about things they’d said and done hours later. The acrobatic brothers were also excellent and had us all holding our breath. The water finale was unexpected too and my son was thrilled with it. The only slight downside was the number of stairs up and down to the seats which was a struggle with limited mobility and wasn’t expected or mentioned anywhere that we could see, but we managed it and will remember this for next time as we will absolutely be back!

Was absolutely fantastic! We went on the 25th May, it was my daughter’s first time going to a circus, and she was absolutely mesmerised! Great jokes for children & adults too! Would definitely go again! 😊

Some good acts

Mooky makes this show, he is hilarious! Our kids loved it. acrobatics acts were incredible too. Down side some of it was a bit of a lull & slow.

Don't waste your money

What a load of rubbish, the circus used to be a fantastic show and experience, with great acts and variety from around the world. I went today with my children and feel utterly cheated for the price that you pay. There was only 5 acts in the whole show and only 2 were the only ones that were any good. The rest of the show is padding , alot of the same material between the clown and his brother was used last time we went, which must have been about 7 yrs ago. What a waste of money, we won't be going again, which is a shame . I love a good circus.

A phenomenal show!

The show was excellent and was lead excellently by a clown! The acts were phenomenal, some incredibly talented performers. Brilliant entertainment for all ages, from 3-69 years old and in such an incredible setting as well. Thank you for a fabulous afternoon's entertainment.

Lackluster Performance

I took my daughter to see the circus for the 1st time and although she enjoyed it, I found it to be the poorest showing I've been to in the last thirty five years I've been going. It was a lackluster offering of just two trapeze acts, some juggling and dancing and the shortest finale I've ever seen. Only Mooky worked hard at trying to keep the crowd engaged., without Mooky you'd be bored. You could tell how little acts were on as at the finale when they face the crowd in past times, it would be full with not a gap between the people. They couldn't even fill the ring this time. One last note even Boo didn't have the enthusiasm he used too. Since Merlin took over the Tower on the whole it has gotten more expensive and less entertaining.

Same old rubish

First time back in 7 years and same so called comic show, boring get a clown change the show around do something new, get rid of these 2 clowns( they are definitely not) Come on if you want people to come back change the act and the crew

Fabulous 🌟

We had a lovely little trip to the circus as a family of 4 adults and 3 kids. All the circus was very good. The actors and actresses and dancers done absolutely amazing and the finally was FAB. I did not extract that at all. I would also love to touch on how fabulous the band was. Again that was such a lovely touch!! 10/10 🌟

Poor Content

We took our Granddaughter to see the Tower Circus. Whilst the resident clown Mooky works hard, the content of the performance was poor. It looked like a case of reducing the budget each year , and eventually you end up with today's offer . Two trapeze artists, three jugglers and the water feature at the end , left my party feeling..... " is that it" . Really poor offering !

Best circus act around

Amazing show. We come every year and love Mooky and Mr Boo. We also love the very talented acts that join them every year, and look forward to the different things they bring to the show. Amazing talent from around the world, in Blackpool.

So much potential.

We visited on a Tuesday Afternoon show. It was surprisingly busy considering it was off-peak. The actual venue is lovely and traditional, and has been very well kept. Prices are as expected at these attractions. The acts were incredible. Probably the best I've see in any circus. Overall however I was a little disappointed at the production value. This is only my opinion, but In comparing the show to the Hippodrome Circus In Great Yarmouth, Yarmouth comes out a much better show, purely to do with order and length of sketches etc. Personally, I thought the show lacked a "Big opener" to immediately captivate the audience, and then bring the comics out whilst the audience are enticed. Starting with a guitar in the middle of the stage just felt very flat, and it wasn't until the dancers came out and the "Production" started that grabbed people's attention. I also thought the show lacked atmospherics Haze. Instead generic "fog" was used which actually dissipates faster, and holds a cloud in the air so that a lot of the time the performers (Particurlarly the dancers) couldn't actually be seen. I would have thought that not using Haze actually costs the circus more money also. The only atmosphere from the lights was from the lower level, as the "Smoke" didn't reach the rig above. I thought the grand reveal of the Water was disappointing. It is literally 1 of 2 venues in the UK with a floor that lowers to become a hippodrome pool. It could be made huge with the right production value from lights, video, dancers, fountains etc. But instead was literally just referred as "Ignore what's going on behind me". I thought Mooky and Mr Boo were absolutely fantastic, however the sketch with the door and 3 members of the audience although was funny, went on far too long. Many of the sketches from similar comics (E.g. Danny Adams/Johnny Mac) etc. keep it quite short and sweet. Lastly I thought the finale wasn't really a finale, but more so just bows with a short bit of choreo which was disappointing. Overall I thought the show was amazing, and I appreciate I've only focused on the negatives, however this is just my opinion and advice on how the show could improve to compete with other similar shows in the country, that currently I feel it is falling behind on. Thank you

Nostalgic, Excellent and Talented Acts.

The Blackpool Tower Circus is spectacular. We travel from Ireland and it's my third time seeing the show. I go back because my first time was in 1995 when I was a little girl. The circus today is still amazing as it was back then. The nostalgic feels. Mookies ability to come up with jokes on the spot. Mr Boo on commentary. What more could you ask for. The water finale is what everyone should experience even once. It's mesmerising as is all the acts and the band. There was a small crowd when we went but Mookie adapted his jokes to fit the crowd. There is a blonde lady /Usher working there and she has a fantastic knowledge and love for her work there which is beautiful to see. We enjoyed it so much and we enjoyed every act, down to the beauty of the circus. Thank you yet again Blackpool Tower Circus for another brilliant memory.

Circus stopped as man fell off walk of death very intense just shows how dangerous these acts really are. No ropes or nets for these acts, please give the acts the respect they deserve 👏

AMAZING 🎪🤡

Came here on a family week away and I couldn't believe how amazing it was. From start to finish we were laughing non-stop! Everyone was brilliant and the finale was fantastic! I wasn't expecting it to be as elaborate or as entertaining but it was amazing and we'll definitely be back ❤️.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

I brought my 4 year old son today using our Merlin passes for general admission and I was amazed at how good it was! Such high standard and professional acts! We loved every minute! I’ve seen a couple of Cirque Du Soleil shows in Vegas so I’m hard to impress with circus shows but honestly some of the acts were the same standard as CDS. All seats had a great view which was good! The only negatives were the silent movie act which went on too long, and the fact that the light up toys on sale were cash only. My son was desperate for one but I had no cash and there are no ATMs onsite. I will definitely go again next time I’m in Blackpool!

Ok but not great

First trip to the circus for many years and first ever for my 4 year old granddaughter. Given its reputation I had expected a much better experience. Sadly it was mostly average to poor. The real highlight was the wheel of death act which was truly heart stopping to watch. The two trapeze artists were good but particularly the female trapeze artist spent a very long time just swinging to and fro with the occasional slightly more interesting move. The so called clowns were terrible, not funny even when you could understand what they were saying. This act needs updating or scrapping- all bad from the dated Michael Jackson sequence to the especially awful making a film part. This was far too long, not funny and actually quite irritating. Even two of the ‘members of the audience’ who took part in it were obviously circus employees. I felt that this whole boring act was just filler because of the lack of other more entertaining acts. The finale when the rink fills with water could have been spectacular but was actually really quite lame. The show was only saved by one really good act and two or three ok ones. Ok for a wet afternoon but overpriced and disappointing.

Disappointed

Boring, dated music, the acts themselves were talented but we excepted some excitement as we had been recommended by friends and family to visit the circus. My little ones, 3 and 8 were bored out their brains. It was £80 odd for 5 tickets, the food and drinks and light up swords, all very expensive too, ended up costing around £150 for the 5 of us for two hours, less actually as we left 20 mins before the end. Think it needs an update!! M and D’s Christmas circus was much better!!

Great afternoon show

All the acrobats and clowns were amazing. Ringside seats were brilliant along with the snacks and drinks. Finally with the water features was a great way to finish.

Fun for the family

Took our daughter who is 4 for her first visit to a circus, I wasn’t sure if she would like it but she absolutely loved it, she was giggling throughout and lots of ‘wow’ moments for her, really glad we visited

Speechless

It was amazing and made me speechless there was times when I was holding my breathe at some acts such as the wheel of death the two brothers (I think they were but I’m not sure) flipping each other and the band was amazing.

The best thing to do in Blackpool

Visited last year and again this year. Both times absolutely amazing show. The acts are mind blowing & the room is stunning. I am just as entertained as our kids. Super! And such history, the entrance hallway is fascinating. Reasonably priced refreshments, no hot drinks but alcohol available. You can also use Tesco Clubcard vouchers. Would highly recommend to all ages.

Great day out at The Tower Circus!

First time I had been to a Circus, so didn't know what to expect but we all had such a brilliant time and joined in all the fun along the way and it was well worth the money! Look forward to going again when ever we are in the area.. Thanks for a great day out, keep up the jolly good work! ❤️😊xx

Disappointed

Yea it's lacking and very disappointing long winded drawn out and a bit boring the audience sketch the birthdays at the end fewer acts than previously and took 20 mins to get going if I had walked in 30 minutes after the start time I wouldnt have missed anything

Stick to the travelling circus’s at half the price!

My partner and I went last weekend and were so disappointed. I’ve seen other circus’s in the past few years and didn’t see anything at this one I haven’t already seen. It was VERY slow!! I mean, half an hour of “happy birthday’s” where even children were getting bored. I get they need time to change the set around but when the show was ready to move on and they were still going on 10 mins later with the announcements, it was ridiculous. One act in particular (getting audience members to act out a film scene) was so slow. The odd laugh here and there but definitely not circus-worthy! Top off this boring show with kids kicking the back of your chair and we walked out before the end.

Great family show catering for disabled in a lovely old building .

Excellent circus , brought back loads of childhood memories, Took mum who’s in her 80.s and in a wheelchair , limited wheelchair spaces but worth contacting the customer team on the booking office number to help with enquiries and bookings. Looked after really well by Francis , couldn’t fault his customer service and making sure we were ok.

Tower circus

We attended the tower circus as well as two other attractions in Blackpool. Madam tussards and sea life were great and all the staff very helpful. At the circus there was a "jobsworth" staff scanning tickets to get in who we had problems with. There were some good acts but there were a lot of boring times especially with the clown and the listing of birthdays of people for over 10 /15 mins talking and long boring bits in between. We were in the balcony and you could not hear anything the filling in acts did so it got very boring and children got restless. I would not recommend as too much wasted times in between about half a dozen act and the speakers do not work updyaors in the balconies. I did tell them of this problem but instead of saying I will sort for the future they just said if you come again I will reserve you seats downstairs!!

Great fun.

Great fun. Recommend strongly for families with children. Our second visit, still made me laugh and gasp. Good value too, considering the practice the performers must put in, and the spectacular setting. The clowns are hilarious.

Disappointing

Have been several times to Blackpool Circus over the years but this year, the show lacks excitement and variety, it just didn't flow. A single juggler, a single male trapeze artist, an acrobatic duo, a single female trapeze artist, a contortionist, and two acrobats for an adjusted Wheel of Death act (think that's because there was an injury to their team recently so it's been scaled back. There is a segment of the 'clowns' doing a long-winded 'let's make a film'. Dancers in between. The acts were good and they're all very talented but there just didn't seem to be any 'wow' factor. In previous seasons, we've seen a troupe of acrobats doing complicated moves, trapeze artists jumping across, stunt bikes going around a dome, and the Wheel of Death when it was a full act. Yesterday, it just seemed to be about selling as much merchandise as they could sell before the show and at the interval. We wanted to go twice this season - again in Autumn, but we won't be returning this year.

Is the lady and the guy where they appear to get chosen to do the making a film routine, called Robert and Samantha by any chance? Then an unexpected member of the audience gets chosen to join them.

Was ok. Not in a rush to return

This was the first visit for my 4 and 5 year old to a circus. It was ok but to be honest they were a little bored. The jokes I found funny but anyone below the age of 30 were likely not to understand them The water based scaring at the end took so long to set up and seemed to be just a flop. The grand finale was announced but then it was thanking everyone. So I took the opportunity to leave before masses. This disgruntled an usher who had to open a fire exit to let me out. Which just irritated me. I think I was expecting to be amazed and while there are some very talented acts in their own merit. They were too many of a similar field. I think it needs more variety. There was a contortionist. Roller skating acts. Dancers. A Juggler. A clown. 2 traipse styles and 2 brothers doing acrobatics. All very good but it’s missing variety

Amazing show!

Amazing show to watch, with fantastic acts. It’s just a shame the experience was shrouded by the rudeness of a staff member. Very snotty lady at the concessions stand with a bad attitude. She practically barked at me when I asked a question about a drink.

First visit

Never been before we had an excellent time, show was better than expected just had an abrupt ending ( grand finale announced nothing happened thanks goodbye).

Great Circus afternoon 👏👏

Went to the tower Circus along with our two friends Theresa and Ray and we all agreed on what’s fantastic performance it was, all of the acts without exception were brilliant and the two hours passé in what felt like minutes. It was a great way to spend an afternoon and we couldn’t recommend it more. Francis ( a member of staff ) couldn’t have been more helpful and informative and we will definitely be booking the tour he recommended.

Not very entertaining

It's okay if you want to get out of the rain for a couple of hours, but not really, very entertaining. Show consisted of a variety of acts and some dancers. In my opinion the best act were the two brothers who did balancing and spinning. The rest was mediocre, a trapeze artist who repeated the same moves, which went on for a little too long, an acrobat who could twist her body into some peculiar shapes that made me feel sick. I didnt think the show was particularly entertaining and I expect some younger children would be rather bored, as the jokes between the two main characters would not be understood.

Was a great show we live local and love taking the kids each year the kids love it fun for all the family the clowns are great wouldn't be the same without them

Fun family circus experience

Good show. Quite pricy when booking alone but when booked as a multi attraction works out better value for money. Cannot choose seats when booking so get there with enough time so you can get seats. They sell drinks and snacks in the venue.

Our granddaughters first visit to Blackpool

Just a great day out, the hosts were so funny and the acts were very entertaining, brilliant. If anything was missing, it was animal acts, but I totally understand why.

Absolutely magnificent

Outstanding as always. Can bring in your own food and drinks. If your in the area this is a must go, its absolutely magical

Good

This is not a circus but a variety of acts. The two main guys were very boring. Also quality of sound higher up you sit is poor. Could hear anything they were saying. However the bikes were my son's favourite and the acrobatic men were good.

Gone rubbish

We as a family attended the circus a few years ago and it was fantastic. Great acts and stunts apart from the not funny clowns. So we decided to go again with my family and family friends who also have attended in the past. We were seated in the balcony which is very uncomfortable and when any one was talking you could not understand anything being said. Everyone around us was complaining about the same thing. Then the acts come out and it was nothing special or exciting apart from the guys on the motor bikes in the wheel which was the only decent act. The clowns are awful and did the same act apart from the disgusting spitting act which was not funny and a disgrace. Very poor acts which was juggling with feet and whacking balls on the floor. Seen better on bgt or street performers. Staff are rude and unhelp full when challenged. Do not go to this so called circus. Waste of money and never going back

Absolutely fantastic family fun- go enjoy and prepare to laugh, probably very loudly!

I’ll start by confessing the last time I went to a circus I was about seven (I am now 56!) - if I’d known it was this much fun I wouldn’t have waited so long! We visited with our 9yr old grandson and 7yr old nephew and I’m not sure whether the two boys or the two alleged adults enjoyed it more, or laughed louder! An absolute glorious couple of hours of laughter, amazement and sheer joy. We are all agreed that “bum bum bum bum bum bum” (if you’ve been you’ll know, if not you are in for a treat) was THE funniest thing we’d ever seen, still laughing and talking about it several days later! The venue itself is stunning and the whole show was fantastic, incredible performers and pulled together by Mooki who was awesome. We’ve visited Blackpool over half term with the boys the last couple of years and am gutted we haven’t been to the circus previously. It is on our “must do” list for next year already.

Disappointed on arrival but VIEW and ROOM was amazing, Maybe more cleaning staff needed

Absolutely loved staying at ApartHotel seafront 419 after the confusion with checking in times, gratefull that they stored our luggage as we travelled from Shrewsbury to Blackpool. Checked in at 3pm only let down was we were sent to our apartment top floor 5 sets of stairs and unfortunately the cleaners hadn’t even started our room very frustrating, compensated with two free drinks in reception/bar 45 minutes later and able to check in! Room was amazing with all facilities and comfy bed, only thing was the shower flooded and partner took drain plug and was disgusting full of dirt/hair and really smelt!! Would go back again as the view from where you pay on bed and seeing the Blackpool Lights from our apartment and everyone enjoying life 🥰

Best how in a good few years

This is the best circus on years! We go every year and rate it as excellent but this year really has been the best circus they have had in years, some of the performances are more simple in terms of less equipment but that make the acts even more jaw dropping!
