Excellent guided tour

Julia was an excellent tour guide. Easy to understand. Lots of great knowledge and gave excellent explanations of everything we needed to know. Fantastic views over the Pyrenees. Sadly, a guided tour of the monastery was not included and so we had to pay extra to get in

Montserrat half day trip

Wonderful half-day trip to montserrat! Had a terrific guide named Miri who provided a lot of great information and suggestions of places to visit and restaurant recommendations. Definitely worth the half day outside the city!

Fun morning in Monserrat

A good few hours spent in monserrat and a ride on the funicular (14euro return).The fog spoiled some of the views but still had a great morning. Our guide John was friendly knowledgeable and helpful.

Good tour

We got the transfers only. We had a comfortable bus and on the way to Montserrat our tour guide shared some history and stories about Barcelona. It was great and value for money!

Memorable and informative tour at Monserrat

Montserrat

Fast travel to the monastery and back. We had about 2.5 hours to enjoy the view and architecture. Cable car to the top is 16 euro, take the firs or the last seats to get the best view. Enterance to the monastery starts with 6 euro and depends on rooms you want to see. You will need your phone to buy tickets.

Montserrat is a must-go place. This transfer by bus will get you there in approx. 1 hour.

Montserrat is a must-go place, especially if you want to escape from the rush of Barcelona. Luckily, I was able to book my spot for this transfer service with my Go City All-Inclusive Pass. Booking on the Go City website was easy and the communication from Amigo Tours via e-mail was clear. One day prior to the trip on August 8, I received a reminder with an explanation how to reach the meeting point. Much appreciated! At 8 AM, we were met by two kind tour guides of Amigo Tours (unfortunately I forgot their names) and the bus driver. The early start of the journey proved to be perfect to avoid the big crowds and the burning afternoon sun. Although I was in the group of travellers who opted for the transfer only, one tour guide was so kind to tell a thing or two about Barcelona and Montserrat during our 1 hour bus ride. One of many recommendations she made, was taking the Sant Joan funicular up the mountain, go for a 30 minute hike to Creu de Sant Miquel (Saint Michael's Cross) and enjoy the breathtaking view. That's when I decided to do this hike. Unfortunately, the first funicular would only leave at 10 AM (and the whole group had to be back at the parking lot at 11:45 AM), and so I needed to hike to the cross and back to the funicular station at a slightly higher pace. The stunning view was worth all the effort. After that, I even got some time left to explore the monastery up close. I wish I could have stayed in Montserrat a little longer. This place and the views are simply amazing and you can easily spent a full day with sightseeing, hiking and even climbing.

Nice tour with marta to Monserrat

Nice tour with marta to monserrat, everything worked out well and her explanations were helpful. We arrived early and there were not so many people, the bus ride was also well organized.

Worst Tour Company - Amigo Tours

This is the worst tour company that you can ever imagine. Never never do any tours with Amigo Tours. Very very rude and we had a delay of 5 mins to catch the Monserat tour bus due to a injury. We were willing to make arragements to get to the Monserat by our own but wanted them to accomodate us on the return. No sense of gratitude for this company. They just wanted to shove us away and not bothering.

Gabi was a great host

The trip was well worth the travel. About 1 hour each way. Great view and a truly holy experience, Hike to the cross, worth the time

Nice transfer.

Gabi was great. We did the transfer only but Gabi did a nice job on the ride up and back. Bus driver was great also.

Montserrat was awesome!

This was a great quick trip to Montserrat. If you want more time to explore, you want to do a longer trip but for us it worked perfect and allowed time to get back to enjoy the city. Carlos was a great tour guide on the way and back to Barcelona!

Carlos was very friendly and organized. He did talk a bit fast! He gave good advice on how to organize the morning.

Great views of the world

Carlos was a great guide. Brought humor and knowledge of the area and montesttat. The area is amazing recommend paying for the lift up the mountain for great views but be careful on time.

A breath taking view.

The tours and the view was amazing. If you re visiting the first time definitely join a tour guide. We join with Amigo Tour and the host was terrific. I will make my visit again and go for hiding, maybe even stay a night at there beautiful hotels.

Essentialy a time bound expensive way to get there.

Nice guy explaing the stuff you see on the way. But essentialy it's only another way to get there from Barcelona. A train ride is much cheaper and you don't have to run back to the bus in time. If you book something like this go for packages including a guide!

Great tour with Carlos, recommendation is to do first tour of day as it becomes very busy/crowded late morning/afternoon.

Fantastic tour. Convenient pickup and drop off from centralized location in Barcelona. Carlos, our guide, was amazing. He gave great information en route, at the monastery, and afterward. I highly recommend this trip. The mountains are truly a beautiful and special place.

Trip to Montserrat

Trip with Gabi was amazing and very entertaining. During the bus ride she told us what places are worth visiting.

Montserrat early tour

An excellent choice to go to Montserrat early, avoid the worst of the crowds! Gabi was an informative guide, the coach was comfortable and expertly handled around some tricky roads. Gorgeous walks to do once there, and of course a visit to the Madonna.

Amazing tour to Montserrat

It was such an amazing experience, the coach was very comfortable and our guide Gabriella was very knowledgeable. The views at Montserrat were breathtaking. Overall a superb tour, highly recommend.

Montserrat Half Day Trip - A Must!

Wonderful tour! Miri was an excellent guide with such great energy. Half day still allows you to get back to Barcelona and fit something in should you want to. Views are amazing. If you’re a hiker, do yourself a favor and plan on 1-3 days here. A lot to hike and see.

Smooth transfer!

We had a seamless transfer from Barcelona central to Montserrat in a comfortable bus. The view in Montserrat was breathtaking. Our tour guide Gabi was friendly and informative! We used our GoCity pass to get on the transfer but it did not include the admission to the Monastery. Still there was plenty to see and explore at MontSerrat!

Well organized ride to Montserrat

Our tour guide Gabi was informative, friendly, and hilarious. My girlfriend and I had an amazing day at Monserrat. We’re much happier that we took the bus ride over attempting to transit ourselves. It was quick, super comfortable, and well organized — thank you Amigo Tours!!

Excellent morning tour

Very profesional, nice big bus, tour leader Gabi was very friendly. The tour was punctual, no delays. Monserrat is beautiful in the morning. Highly recommended.

So so

Instructions were to be at the meeting point at 8 am. To make things confusing, we found out the day before that Spain had to change their time forward an hour at 2 am on the day of the tour. However, everyone still showed up on time... except for the tour guide. The bus was there, but we all had to wait outside in the cold since the driver did not have a list of people who had signed up. There was no communication from Amigos Tours - I called around 8:10 and was told someone would be there in 5-6 minutes. When 8:20 came around, several of us tried to call the agency but no one was answering. Another person called Viator and told the rest of us that if the guide didn't show up within 10 minutes, we'd all get our money back; but no one wanted their money, we all wanted a trip to Montserrat. The tour guide finally showed up at 8:40 am with no explanation and assured that they'd make it up to us but nothing happened. Despite starting 40 minutes late, we still had to be back on the bus by 11:40 to be back in Barcelona at 1 pm (which was the original end time).

Great way to see Montserrat

Would highly recommend visiting Montserrat if you are in Barcelona for a few days. Doing it via this tour made it really easy - leaving Barcelona at 8am on a comfortable/modern bus, and spending about an hour and a half Montserrat, which felt just about the right amount of time. Being early also meant beating the crowds - it was starting to get very busy as we left. This is a transfer and not a tour when you get to Montserrat, however you the tour guide and driver were both very friendly and provided information about the city as we left Barcelona, and also about the history of Montserrat. The only thing that I think could be improved was that there was v little info provided as to what to do when we arrived at Montserrat (where to go, suggestions for stuff to do/ see).

Difficulty to have information on Meeting Point

I have a Montserrat tour book in May. The meeting point location is very confuse. I wrote 2 times to Amigo tour to get more information about the meeting point on PASSEIG LLUIS COMPANYS, number 5, without any reply. Where is the meeting point? In the park near the Monument a Antoni de Viladomat ? Or on side walk of PASSEIG LLUIS COMPANYS south bound direction? Thanks
