Great day out!

Fabulous day! Fabrizio our driver/guide was friendly, professional and very knowledgeable about all the places that he took us to. Excellent glass of vermouth at Santi's in Peratallda, even bought a bottle to take home! Shame about the weather, which meant no swim at Callella de Palafrugell, but as a group we went to a lovely restaurant overlooking the beach and had a delicious meal. Absolutely brilliant day, would highly recommend 😊

Awesome and beautiful tour

We had a fantastic experience thanks to our tour guide Daniel who was both funny and insightful! He showed us historical buildings and the stories behind them, and even showed us a bunch of spots where Game of Thrones was filmed.

Small group tour away from the city!

It was an absolutely amazing trip away from the hustle and bustle of Barcelona. Carlos was our guide, he was accommodating to everyone’s needs and was very interactive with all in the small group we had! We got to see the countryside and learned history from Carlos. The beach stop at Costa Brava was amazing. Would definitely recommend this tour for anyone!

Girona, costa Brava

Experience was fun. Antoine was knowledgeable and fluent in multiple languages. Definitely felt like we needed more time in Girona to explore because it was so beautiful. Would request Antoine again as a tour guide for sure.

20th Anniversary trip to see Girona, Peratallada & Costa Brava Day Trip from Barcelona.

My husband and I had the best tour with Danny. We went to Girona, Peratallada & Costa Brava (Calella de Palafrugell) . The small group tour (6 people plus Danny) was a highlight of our trip to Spain. Thank you Danny for all your tips & personal details of you home country of Spain. You are a bright light with a passion for all things Catalan. We were picked up in front of the Nike store in Barcelona at 8:30am in a clean comfortable air conditioned van. Danny took us for coffee/ juice and xuixo (amazing pastry) in Girona. He shared the history & walked us around the beautiful city. Then we went to the small medieval town of Peratallada. What a storybook town. I could not stop taking pictures around each corner. We stopped and had a drink and snack at a local restaurant with the group (optional- but highly recommended) Then climbed the tower to get a Birds Eye view of the 12-15th century town. Danny was the perfect host, sharing history of olive trees and introducing us to his local friend. Then we drove to the picture perfect town of Palafrugell. Danny booked us a reservation at am amazing Italian restaurant overlooking the sea (optional- but highly recommended). Then we had free time to swim and explore the beautiful seaside town. We relaxed in the van on our drive back to Barcelona. We had a great group of people that made the day one to remember. Best day tour close to Barcelona

A great day trip to get away from the city of Barcelona. Dani was a great guide, very friendly and knowledgeable. We were able to take pictures and took us to a couple local places. I would highly recommend to book with Dani and do any other tours. Great as a solo traveler!

Great Guide, Great Trip

Giulio was an amazing guide. He is funny, smart, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We had a slight glitch in the plans (through no fault of his own) and he came up with a great Plan B. Book a trip with him!

Dani is a great storyteller too—he shared historical info and fun facts to further highlight the beauty of the areas and corners we went to. Amazing amazing trip!

Daniel (Dani) was amazing….very well thought out, paced and filled with interesting facts and recommendations. Squeezing all 3 places in 10 hrs is difficult if you do it on your own…this is where the trip really shines. We also had a lot of time of our own to eat and drink - experience the local culture…highly recommended trip to get a taste of Girona and Costa Brava!

Come see all the beautiful things

This was an excellent tour offering lots of opportunities for the budding photographer in us all to just go nuts. Also our guide, Will, was both very knowledgeable and an excellent photographer himself for those times when we wanted to actually be in said photos and not just have selfies.

Such a fantastic day. Being in such a small group made the experience so much more enriching and our tour guide Danny was really fantastic at showing us all the sights and answering any questions we had.

Fabulous Trip & Guide! Highly Recommend!

Best day ever outside of the city! An excellent chance to visit the countryside of Barcelona, including a tour of the historic town of Girona, a visit to medieval town that was beyond charming and capped off by a visit to Costa Brava where we had a wonderful lunch by the sea. Our Guide Guilio was outstanding! Very knowledgeable and personable!

Highlight of my trip!

Absolutely incredible tour! I loved that it was a small group, only 7 of us, which made it feel like a group of friends hanging out. Giulio was the most fantastic guide and I wish he could be my tour guide for every tour I do. He was so passionate and knowledgeable about the area. If you have the chance to do the tour I highly recommend it!

Incredible. This is the perfect tour mixed with structure and free time. There are gorgeous views we didn't see anywhere else in Barcelona. Girona is beautiful and clean, Peratallada is a charming ancient town, and costa brava is the most gorgeous beach. It helps that we also had perfect weather! Fabrizio was a superb guide. He was accommodating and we were able to have our group of 10 do the trip together! Would recommend this tour to anyone! It was the cherry on top of our trip! Thank you

Fun in Costa Brava

Fabrizio was a great guide. We really enjoyed our day exploring Costa Brava. Girona and the two little towns we visited were different from each other, offering us a view of different styles.

Absolutely magical day

This day trip was really lovely. We wanted to see a bit of the countryside in Costa Brava and this trip really delivered. It was a magical day! Fabrizio our guide was warm and welcoming. It was so, so nice to have him drive us from stop to stop. We had considered renting a car and doing a trip like this on our own, which would have been much, much less pleasant. We stopped in Girona first and began with a Spanish pastry and coffee. Then we walked around Girona, with Fabrizio leading us to the best spots and sharing some information about local history and culture. Our second stop was Peratallada which is probably the most charming town I have ever seen. It is tiny and the entire town is historical. You feel like you've landed in another century. Calle de Palafrugell was also super charming, although pretty busy as it was a gorgeous day. Here we had a very generous amount of time to explore, and we walked along the Camino Ronda to the next town north (Llafranc) and back, with sea views the entire time. It did not hurt that our weather was absolutely perfect! I really would like to return to this area of Spain and would definitely go on another Be Outdoors day trip.

Wonderful day with Fabrizio

Started the tour with a delicious Xoxo pastry then on to Girona. Fabrizio provided us with the history of the city, showed us the Game of Thrones locations , and helped us take the best pictures. We then toured a small medieval town that is not frequented by most tours and then a seaside town where we enjoyed a meal and relaxation. It was a nice introduction to Catalonia outside of Barcelona. Would definitely recommend as an excursion.

amazing day trip!

This couldn’t have been a better way to spend the last day of our trip to Barcelona. After 4 days in the city escaping to the countryside and seeing more of the beautiful surrounding area was such a wonderful experience. Our tour guide, Giulio, was absolutely incredible, he made sure we all had the best time and was so knowledgable, pointing out landmarks along the scenic drive and giving us tons of information and history. Each destination that we visited was more picturesque than the last, and so much was packed into one day which somehow still managed to be relaxing and peaceful. It would be too hard to choose a favourite moment from the trip, but ending the day on the beach in Calella was definitely a highlight. It was a ton of fun and I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Barcelona!

This was the highlight of our trip! We couldn’t believe the views and the character of each place. Giulio was the best tour guide we could have asked for- full of amazing recommendations and so much fun! I would book this experience over and over again in a heart beat.

Girona, Peratallada and Costa Brava - 5 Stars

On May 16th, 2024, we enjoyed an excellent tour with Giulio, (A.K.A Bob) originating in Barcelona and traveling to Girona, Peratallada and then Costa Brava. Our group consisted of seven tourist and 1 Guide which provide for an excellent opportunity for interaction with Giulio Giulio requested we meet about 20 minutes earlier in Barcelona then originally scheduled due to the flower festival in Girona. This slight change allowed us to miss most of the crowds in Girona. As the crowds were arriving, we were moving on to Peratallada. Giulio discussion of the city was wonderful, and he was able to show a location in which a scene from Game of Thrones was shot, he even provided a video of the scene from season six with Arya falling down the stairs while we were in front of the same stairs. Awesome for the GOT fans. On to Peratallada, this was a medieval village of about 20 people, and it seemed that they all knew Giulio as a personal friend. He was able to point out interesting facts and provided detailed insights to life in this village. The Coast Brava town by the sea was a place to consider revisiting, we had time for lunch and to enjoy the seaside Then back to Barcelona after a fantastic excursion. As side note, Giulio provided exceptional recommendation for local restaurants and gelato. Should we travel back to Barcelona, we will look for other tours operated by Be Outdoors Barcelona. A Day in Paradise

If you’re looking for a way to experience the real beauty of Barcelona away from the crowds & tourist sites, this is the tour for you. From the moment we met Antoine, we felt welcome. He picked us up in a clean & very comfortable luxury van. While the other tours we passed were large & had a shouting guide waving a flag, we felt like we were spending the day with friends. Together with another small family, we had a day that I will dream about forever.

Pueblos, vermú y mar

Dani was a fantastic local guide taking us through Girona, a small village from the 11th century, and ending in a Costa Bravo fishing village. He included hidden gems like a Vermouth shop with the owner on site, and terrific seafood restaurant with a table Oceanside. Would highly recommend Dani as your guide and taking this excursion from Barcelona to enhance your Catalan experience!

Amazing tour even better guide (Dani)

Dani Callau our tour guide and he was the one of the best guide I ever had. He answered all the questions we had. He speaks 6 languages and speaks English very well and also knows how to make jokes. I was laughing a lot. Overall it was a great tour and I would recommend the tour but more importantly Dani to anyone looking for a tour in Barcelona!

Amazing Experience!

This was definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Spain! I signed up to go to two counties in one day. Unfortunately, I was the only person to sign up for that excursion. Fabrizio was amazing! He not only let me know, in advance, that the trip would likely be cancelled (due to not meeting the minimum requirement of participants), he also offered to let me switch to another similar excursion!! I decided to take a chance and make the switch, and I am so glad I did! We started the trip in Girona where we got to try some chuchos and café. Then we got to walk around and learn a bit about its history and even see a few locations where Game of Thrones was filmed! I’ve never seen the show, but Fabrizio did a great job of getting everyone engaged and even showed us clips of the show to compare to the actual location. After that, we went to a small village, called Peratallada, where we got to chat with locals, try some sangria, and admire the quaint, yet enchanting, town. Finally, we made our way to the beaches of Calella! The views were breathtaking and we got to have lunch right by the beach! All in all, I would definitely recommend this experience, especially if it’s your first time in Barcelona! But even if it’s not, it’s a worthwhile experience. Fabrizio was so genuine, knowledgeable, and very funny. He cracked jokes almost the entire time, all while giving great insight into the history of each location. I was a solo traveler and felt totally comfortable and had a great time with the other participants. Don’t miss this experience!

Great trip despite the weather

The tour guide Antonio was great. The weather that day was terrible but the tour guides did their best to make the best of the situation. The tour to Girona and Costa Bravo was very interesting Tony was quite knowledgeable of the areas and was very entertaining.

A truly superb day seeing the history outside of Barcelona

We are so glad to have found this tour - we'd never have had the opportunity to see such historic and beautiful parts of Spain otherwise! The tour covered places we would never have found on our own.. It was well organised, our guide for the day was Daniel Callau who was impressive... personable, accommodating and was able to explain the rich history. He shared lots of interesting facts in the various stops in quaint Girona and Peratallada with the passion a true Catalan. He made sure we were all well taken care of, ever helpful with photos and the many questions we had. Since the group was small, it was also far more enjoyable. A superb day! Thank you Dani!
