Magnificently, beautiful, and very educational tour

Montserrat, our tour guide, was wonderful! We learned about the history and intricate architecture of the exterior of the basilica, before going inside where she continued to share the symbolism of the design and construction. It was very educational and magnificently beautiful! She was easy to understand, and the whisper ear devices were helpful to be able to hear her over the crowds and other noise

A great way to see Sagrada familia

Raol was a great guide and gave us a lot of great information and history of the iconic Sagrada. Only issue was, I had booked a small group tour and there was more than 20 people in our group. The microphone was helpful to have in the crowd to be able to hear the guide when we couldn’t be right next to him.

Must do to understand cathedral history

Raul was great! He explained the history in a very fun way. Meet up was easy. Would not have appreciated the intricacies of the art without his explanation.

More than expected

If you want to know more about the history of the venue you must select the option of the guided tour. Skipping the entry line was also a plus. We did the Spanish tour with Raul. He was very good and knew a lot about the culture and arquitecture of Sgarda Familai.

Simply THE BEST in Barcelona!

We had heard so many stories of how Sagrada Familia was a "MUST SEE".....but nothing we had heard did justice to what we saw. Our guide was EXCELLENT.......both knowledgeable and entertaining.

Read the fine print!! What a disaster. Booked this tour not realizing the guide would only be speaking Spanish. It says Spanish tour but we’re in Spain! We arrived for the tour and their staff couldn’t have be ruder or less helpful. If we’d known we would have obviously canceled within 24 hours. Such a waste of $100. We literally just had to walk around clueless. The guide was more concerned with making sure we didn’t run off with a headset than proposing another option like a different day. Viator chat services offered no help either.

Well done tour

We did a 3pm tour and it was easy to find our guide and the lighting in the church was gorgeous. The guide was very knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

A must see architectural marvel

Our tour guide Juan Miguel was excellent and extremely knowledgeable. La Sagrada Familia is an architectural marvel and one of the highlights of our multi city and county European vacation.

New build

Not one for the traditionalist in our opinion although a very impressive structure. Overall didn’t live up to the hype and expectations.

Amazing building and excellent guide

Monserrat gave an excellent guided tour, she communicated very well beforehand regarding meeting point location and time. She was extremely knowledgeable about both the history of La Sagrada and current and future construction. She delivered the information with enthusiasm and clarity. We learned and saw so much more than if we had bought entry tickets and walked around. Would definitely recommend.

Raul was an amazing tour guide—he truly brought this experience to life for us. His detailed explanation and behind-the-scenes details were so appreciated. The church literally took my breath away. I highly recommend this experience, and in particular with Raul!!

Sunday best!

Our tour was on a Sunday afternoon in Spanish. Our guide was wonderful and shared so many details of the church!! His passion for the church was evident in his explanation of the history and details of the construction. We are extremely pleased with all the tours we’ve taken with Viator.

A piece of perfection in a beautiful city

Inspiring tour

Tour guide was excellent! So much history to share and kept the group moving. He also encouraged us (teased us) with a return after completion. Final will be worth another trip.

Guide not easily found, misses our tour!!

We purchased the 3pm walking tour of the Sagrada familia. The email sent out stated to meet in front of the souvenir shop at 3pm. We arrived in our cab 4 minutes past 3pm and there were hundreds of people in front of the souvenir shop including many other tour groups with other tour companies. Most of the tour companies (ex Viking company) were clearly marked with signs stating the tour company name. Unfortunately, our guide has no sign that stated viator tours We had no idea who our guide was or which group was ours. After attempting to call the local contact provided in the email, the phone line rang busy/or no connection. After asking the staff of the Sagrada familia for guidance to locate the viator tour, they basically said there was nothing they could do. We ended up missing the tour which we had paid for. Very very very disappointed. Would never use this company again!

NEVER NEVER TAKE THIS TOUR!

If there was a negative rating for this I would give that. NEVER NEVER TAKE THIS TOUR! Very poor directions na extremely bad customer service with no responses to messages. Because of all this we missed our tour AND they did not even give us a refund. Shame !

Recommend Raul for La Sagrada Familia

Raul did an excellent job in giving us a tour through La Sagrada Familia! He was very thorough and informative. Never felt rushed even with the crowds and he answered all questions. One suggestion - when you sign up for a “small group” tour, we would have expected it to be 10-15, however, our group was 30.

Excellent tour

The tour was excellent. Highly recommend it. The tour guide seemed knowledgeable about the history. The interior is beautiful if you happen to go when the sun is shining.

An absolute “must do”

Absolutely a must do when visiting Barcelona. Purchase in advance to avoid disappointment. I didn’t post interior photos intentionally so I didn’t spoil the amazing experience. Choose a time when the sun is angled to come through the stained glass windows. Our 12:30 tour in May was perfect timing. It was spectacular.

Experiencing the wonders of the Sagrada Familia

Initially I was a bit anxious about recognising the guide as I didn’t know what logo they would carry but when I called the local provider their logo appeared on WhatsApp and the lady guide was already nearby with a pole and a little flag. She was very courteous and knowledgeable. The whole monument doesn’t disappoint, it’s really amazing and it’s good to have a guide to make the visit effective. The whole tour lasted an hour (not 1.5).

Wow!

Having such a complex and amazing structure requires someone to thoroughly understand it and speak without hesitation. Juan is amazing, both with knowledge and entertaining.

Never found my guide.

I arrived 20 minutes before my tour to allow plenty of time to find the tour, asked at least 5 other English-speaking guides if they were with Viator, but never saw or heard my guide, nor. They left without me, and I never got to experience the tour.

An experience beyond my expectations

Our Driver and guide delivered an awesome experience. The site is a must when visiting Barcelona. It's rich history is very impressive.

Boring Tour Guide

This tour was very disappointing. Our guide spoke too fast, was not engaging and lacked interesting historical information. Would have preferred a total audio tour.

Must see event.

The cathedral was incredible and over the top. Greatly enjoyed the tour although it dragged a little. Our guide Ana was wonderful!

Well worth the time. Book early!

Hearing about the background of the church and the chief architect. Going inside on the tour and seeing the beautiful colors of the windows. Hearing about all the names on the colored glass and the Lord's prayer showing in over 50 languages. Thank you so much to Raul for giving us such a wonderful tour. He is so knowledgeable and enthusiastic.!

Breath Taking!!

WOW WOW WOW!!!! What a beautiful piece of art and church! Our tour guide Juan Miguel was absolutely amazing! He was very friendly and extremely thorough and gave us all of the history keeping us captivated throughout the whole tour. The standing and walking for that amount of time was worth it to learn all about the history and the amazingly talented Antoni Gaudi and how his creative mind worked. Skipping the line is also worth paying for as the lines outside were long.

Everything was great except the meeting point was not clearly indicated and confusing

There was some confusion regarding what tour company had us registered. Guide had to take photos of our communications with the company and send photos of our confirmation to headquarters . Guide was friendly and knowledgeable and pointed out so many interesting items of the Gaudi design.

This is a MUST see!

Juan Miguel, our guide, was absolutely fantastic. He has a true love for the architecture and artistry of the Sagrada Familia and it showed. He did not rush us; but he also kept us moving at a nice pace. And his details only added to our enjoyment of this awe-inspiring day. The separate tour entrance is still busy; but it was so much better than if we had done this tour on our own. And once he completed his guided tour, my wife and I were able to stay for another couple of hours in the museum, taking a second look at everything. This was a fantastic last stop on our trip!
