Worst tour guide

The most memorable part was that our tour guide did not allow us to complete the tour since we had tower access. This was NOT what we signed up for!

Nice overview of Cathedral

The guide was very nice and we could hear/understand her very clearly. Several tour attendees asked questions that I thought the guide should have included during the walk. We did enjoy the additional tower add-on.

Good tour of LaSegrada

We enjoyed our tour and visit to LaSegrada Familia. It was the perfect amount of time to spend on the property.

Sagrada with friends

This was an amazing tour. Breath taking views and a beautiful narrated story by our guide. Well worth the visit.

Not worth the money!!

I have nothing good to say about the tour. The group was way too large with over 25 in our group. Chaos with other groups all together. Way too expensive for what you get. Guide difficult to understand.

Just ok- expensive compared to booking through the church site

The Basilica is awe inspiring. However, our tour guide was rude and for the price we paid it wasn’t anything special.

La Sagrada Familia is a must do

La Sagrada Familia is something you have to see in person. Photos just cannot evoke the emotion you feel when visiting here.

Would not recommend

Very unorganized. Leader was not friendly, seemed put out. Meeting place very confusing. Staff there bordered on rude.

Disappointed

Too many issues with audio devices. Asked for a new device because the volume was either a 20 or zero and they said no. And then the guide was having issues with her mic. Half way through the tour she had to hold up the receiver to her mouth to solve the static and volume issues. Also thought our tour was a small guided tour and it ended up being 30+ people with only one opportunity to ask questions. Viator does not do the tour they use a third party. All of this was very disappointing for the amount of money we paid. Will not use Viator again.

Low Rent Tour Guide

My wife and I were on a transatlantic cruise from Fort Lauderdale to Athens, Greece. One of our stops was in Barcelona, Spain. My wife has always wanted to visit the la Sagrada Familia Church. It has been on her wish list for a very long time. I booked a guided tour to the church on the day that we were in port in Barcelona. Our tour was to begin at 9:30 am. Our contact for the tour was Amigo Tours Spain. We had plenty of time to make our way to the reporting location, which was a curio and souvenir shop almost immediately adjacent to the church. Like always, there was a crowd that had arrived for the same tour we were going on. We got in line and made our way to the front desk. As we approached, we both saw and heard the woman in charge advising a married couple (with a child) that their name wasn't on the list, and that they should wait around in the event there was a cancellation. It made no sense to them. They had tickets for the tour. When we got to the front of the line, the woman asked for our name. She checked her list and said we weren't on it. I showed her my voucher on the Viator app, clearly stating that I had booked and paid for two tickets to the 9:30 am la Sagrada Familia Guided Tour with Towers Access on Friday April 19, 2024. She told us that since our name wasn't on the list, we should also wait and hope that there would be some no-shows. Well, that didn't happen. Then she offered for us to come back the next day and take a tour. I reckon she didn't comprehend that we were on a cruise ship and were going to be leaving town that evening. So, we did not get to take the tour that my wife had been anticipating for many months. We did get to walk around the outside of the church. It is a beautiful church, and the architecture is absolutely amazing. Viator did refund us our money. That is pretty much the rule. If you take someone's money and don't provide the service that they purchased, then you need to give them back their money. If I had one strong recommendation, it would be this - 'Don't book a tour with Amigo Tours Spain' unless you are prepared for the possibility of being disappointed. I'm not happy with them at all. They obviously overbook their tours with callous disregard for their customers. But more significantly, I find it hard to believe that Viator does business with them. I'm pretty confident this is a regular occurrence with this tour guide. The whole incident caused me to reconsider what company I book tours with. I have already found several other options. Trip Advisor seems more solid, though the irony of that is that they recently purchased Viator. Go figure.

Sagrada Familia is amazing and a must see However , the morning registration for the tour was not as orderly as it should have been and the extra expense for the tower was not worth it

We booked an English speaking tour at 930 am April 25, we were given a bilingual tour so half the tour was a waste of time. The guide spent 45 minutes on the outside of the building because she had to explain it in two languages and by the time we entered the Sagrada we had very little time before our ticket to go up in the tower. This was not what we paid for and request a refund

Breathtaking views!

Do not miss entry into this remarkable monument in Barcelona. Tour guide Svetlana was informative and efficient. Towers access is a MUST but do be careful on the narrow staircase down. A truly awe-inspiring architectural feat, even from a secular perspective.

Highly recommend this tour

Checking in was easy and the location was simple to find. Our guide, Marta, was knowledgeable and interesting and very hospitable. I learned a lot and appreciated the format of the tour. My teenage son also LOVED it, which is a testimonial to her abilities as well. It was right around 90 minutes long and we spent time inside and out, learning some about lots of the architectural history and decisions, as well as the sculpture and layout of the basilica.

Great experience. Quality tour!

I really enjoyed the tour and also the guide. She was respectful and really patient. There was an older gentleman that apparently did not check his email to verify his reservation and it was cancelled but he still showed up. Our guide was polite and courteous to him even though he was rude to our guide. Our guide made sure everyone could hear her on our tour and explained a lot of detailed information about La Sagrada Familia. Overall, I would definitely suggest the tour since it’s so vast and also I would recommend getting the tower access as well. It was well worth it!

Definitely book your tour!

Unbelievable tour, was recommended to me and I would definitely recommend it to everyone. From the history to the building to the ongoing works, superb. Our guide was amazing with the story of the church, inside and up the towers, breathtaking. A must do.

Company needs to organize tour better

The guide was very nice. She worked very hard to make the tour reasonable for everyone. However her company put too many people in our group ( about 30). The church was very crowded making that size not manageable. Also the tour was in Spanish and English, also making it unmanageable. Please charge more, have less people and a single language!! And be nicer to your guides.

Amazing

Wow, what can I say that probably hasn't been said before about this stunning building. To say that our first sight of it was breathtaking is an understatement. We had the self guided tour that we downloaded on our phones, scan the QR code in the grounds. The inside is just as fabulous, the way the light shines through the windows has to be seen. The view from the tower is fabulous, a lift to the top does help, but be aware, lots of stairs via the spiral staircase to get back down. All in all, a visit not to be missed

Standard tour

The tour was okay and interesting. But the tour guide just did the standard story and was not willing to answer questions from the group. For this price you would expect differently.

What an experience!! The cathedral itself is incredible, but the tower tour was the icing on the cake! Don't miss this fabulous experience!!!

Easy meeting place and our guide David was great. He gave us a very good understanding of the history behind the Sagrada.

My tour guide was terrific. I can't belive I thought I was just going to wander around on my own. This history of the intersection of art and the Catalonian liberation struggle through time was inspiring.

Worthwhile experience

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the Sagrada Familia Temple. Our guide Marta was patient and informative with our group. We did the extra tower experience and felt that was worth the extra cost. Views for days!!!

I would’ve done this experience differently

This experience was fine! I’d honestly rather go and listen with audio guides. I signed up for a bilingual tour, so I knew that there would be time spent translating. However, there was just an excessive amount of time standing around waiting for translations. We stood outside the sagrada familia for over 35 minutes listening to our guide before we finally got in. This was definitely great if you like receiving this information, but if you’re like me and just would rather keep moving and not be standing waiting for long amounts of time I wouldn’t recommend this tour. Also, I paid for the towers. I assumed my skip the line pass would work for this too. However, it didn’t. The guide just gave us the tickets to the tower elevator and left us there (no guide for going up) in the regular line that everyone else paid for. Just buy tickets from the sagrada familia website directly.

Missed Tour

They aren’t kidding when they say you need to be on time. We were 5 minutes late due to traffic and the tour had gone. We lost $260 with no ability to cancel or reschedule. We book all our tours with Viator so I would think this would have been great. Lesson learned, be on time.

Beautiful tour

The church and towers were stunning. Recommend going in the afternoon so you can truly appreciate the stained glass interior. Marta was a wonderful guide who truly made the experience!

Can't miss this, was the family's favorite part of the whole trip

Sylvia was a great tour guide. We especially liked the fact that individual earphones were provided so we could hear her clearly throughout the tour. We've been on so many tours with large groups and often couldn't hear the guide, so this was a wonderful feature (provided by Sagrada Familia, not the tour company). Sylvia provided great details and history about the Sagrada Familia and her passion for the basilica was clear. We loved going up to the top with the tower addition, highly recommend that!

Marta was a great guide. Knowledgeable, patient, and sincere. There was and is so much involved in the process of creation that it was astounding to ponder. Truly worth it. I highly recommend everyone learning more about the Sagrada Familia Basilica!

The tour guide did not...

The tour guide did not thoroughly take us through the basilica. Apparently there’s a Gaudi museum and crypt in the basement that we did not see.

Wonderful tour!

We had an absolutely outstanding tour of La Sagrada Familia! I know this basilica is not a wonder of the world, but it should be! Heading up into the towers and checking out the views from the top was outstanding. Highly recommend that.

Great Tour!

Great time on the tour. Got so much more out of it with an English speaking guide, David, to explain everything. The stained glad windows were amazing at sunset! Purchased the extra ticket to go up into the Passion Towers. Beautiful view.

Excellent tour, poor refund

Davide our tour guide was excellent, very engaging and informative over and advice what i was expecting. However i am disappointed with the very small refund i was given when i was unable to access the tower due to the high winds.

A great day in Barcelona

Amazing basilica. So exquisite inside and out. Fantastic views from the Tower. Knowledgeable guide who gave lots of interesting information. Would definitely recommend.
