Our last-minute Sagrada Familia tour was a highlight of our Barcelona trip. Even without pre-booked tickets, this tour offered a seamless experience with a knowledgeable guide and optional tower access. While booking in advance is recommended, this tour is a fantastic option for spontaneous travelers.

Wonderful experience .

Of course the sagrada was beautiful but the guide made the experience more enjoyable with her knowledge and passion of the church.

Don’t miss it. Having a guide is a must.

We easily found the meet up spot to connect with our guide David. He lead us quickly thru security and handed out our earphones. He communicated the information about Sagrada Familia clearly and gave us enough time to savor its beauty.

Excellent tour guide!!!! Beautiful Sagrada familia!! The check in process was easy, great directions! Ear pieces did not all work the best. But the glory of the church made it a day to remember. Gracias Barcelona!

Stay far away

This company charges more than twice the others. They do not even have the tower tour included with the price. I cannot understand why they loot people by charging exorbitant. I thought for the prices there would be the tower tour and something more. But it was a plain basic 40 minute tour for about $100 per person. It is worth $10-$15 tour - anything more than that is not worth it. Go for self-guided. This has left a bad taste about Barcelona for us.

Was a good way to get in to the Sagrada Familia but tour guide wasn't the best

I liked how easy it was to sign up for the tour and how entrance to the Sagrada Familia went so smoothly. Our tour guide handled all the tickets and made entrance very easy. She handed out radios and headphones. I didn't like how difficult it was to understand our guide's English. Before the tour was over, more than half of the people in the tour turned in the radios & just explored on their own.

Gaudi’s masterpeice

Our tour guide was wonderful! He was an architect and shared a wealth about the structure and style of the cathedral and its historical context. He covered a lot of the religious themes of the church and architecture while weaving in Gaudi’s genius. Highly recommend: my favorite tour in Barcelona!

Sagrada familia tour - not worth it

Tour was highly overpriced. Tour guide was very dower and not engaging at all. She wasn’t even friendly

Disappointed

The positive was our tour guide was very knowledgeable. Unfortunately there were some negatives, mostly due to general disorganization. We were asked to be there 10 min early and the tour didn’t even leave until approx 15 min after the scheduled start time. Then we were left out in the rain for several minutes outside the basilica while our tour guide made arrangements. We did not get tower access due to the rain. The tour guide’s voice was so quiet it was difficult to hear her, and she seemed to get distracted by the people in the group who were not following her rules. Had the price been 30-50 euro it would have all been fine, but at the price they charge I felt it was a ripoff.

Amigo travel tour guide is nice!

The bilingual tour guide is awesome! Detailed introduction on Gaudi and the building. The queue for the roof is long, need to save enough time the next location.

Unorganized

The woman wasn’t organized at all and the meeting place for this tour was awful especially when it was raining …they kept us way too long out in the rain…the tour started over an hour late and we never got the 1.5 hours it was 40 min & wasn’t good

An amazing tour

Christina was an amazing tour guide. She pointed out very niche and little known information. She was well organized and answered questions. She dealt with a very rude woman, who was unfortunately part of the tour, very diplomatically. The tower access was not open as it was raining, which is unfortunate, but not Christina’s fault! Will try to come back in 10 years when it’s finished!

No-Queue Visit

Amazing experience. Would love to credit their punctuality, knowledgeable tour guides, and convenience with regards to booking.

Wow

First, it was just a majestic place and awe-inspiring place. We could have spent days in there. Now, back to the tour, our tour guide was great knowledgeable. We would highly recommend them for this tour.

Beautiful Church, Rude tour guide

La Sagrada Familia was great but the tour guide was very rude and grumpy. When dealing with the public you need to smile, not scream at paying clients.

Otherwise excellent

Would have liked in one language only. Doing English and Spanish was a lot of talking, a lot of words to listen to. Ghent was no down time where we could just listen to our surroundings.

Sagrada Familia tour.

Marta did an excellent job and we enjoyed the tour. The only negative was that it was conducted in two different languages so that we didn’t have time for as much information. This is no reflection on Marta who did a great job answering questions in addition to giving a well rounded tour. Otherwise it was great!

Customer service can improve

I had to wait 20 minutes for the guide to arrive. Also, before the experience, I wrote several times without a response to any of my requests.

Terrible experience!

Due to an emergency, we were late for 5 minutes. Despite leaving so many messages before getting there, we were not able to locate the tour operator. The security guards at the cathedral were not helpful either. Anyway, we paid almost 300Euro for this tour and we didn’t get to enter the cathedral. What a waste of time and money! The whole experience was terrible.

Incompetent and willing to commit Fraud

Well they are very no extremely poor at communicating. They wanted us to cancel or reschedule. We chose to reschedule. Each time communicating with them on their app took a day, sometimes days. And this was sprung on us at the last minute just before our vacation. Anyway we arrive at the meeting point but no one showed. Another couple and their daughter was waiting for the same tour. Neither of us was notified of a cancellation. We all tried contacting them and no luck. We then talked to the Sagrada Familia staff and they said that Amigo signed us in. I’m assuming that way they can collect their commission from goCity. They finally contacted me and when I looked it was a “I hope you enjoyed your tour”. Well after making several calls they finally contacted us again giving us a new day and time. I agreed but again they took almost 2 days to respond. So they finally came through. The experience was very disorganized. I would never choose Amigo or goCity again.

Not worth the money paid. Do a self guided tour.

The tour was not worth what we paid. It could have easily be done as a self guided tour. The tour guide whilst friendly was not easy to understand.

Nice Tour Well Organized.

Nice tour, well organized. Gets you in the facility quickly, 1 1/2 hours is about the right enough time. Tour guide was knowledgeable and pleasant. We did the optional tower tour I recommend it if you can handle the stairs. Elevator takes you up, but you need to take the stairs down.

Not worth it.

The price was not worth it. It was only 40 min, difficult to hear with the audio headphones. I don’t understand why it was over $500 for 2 adults and 3 children (8, 11, 12). The tower was on our own and just included an elevator up and stairs down. Definitely too expensive for what it included.

La Familia 😆😆

Our English tour guide spoke little English the tour was divided both English and Spanish. She explained a lot in Spanish but not in English. She was messy and rude to us as well as she never introduced herself . My family was excited about this tour and we felt like we were taken advantage of. Paid a lot for an English only tour. The church was beautiful but didn’t learn a thing by our tour guide. I would think after paying $270.00 they would make sure they had qualified tour guides. Our tour guide did not explain the tower part of the tour. She grabbed our headsets and said adios.

Excellent tour but a bit overpriced

Excellent tour of Sagrada Familia! The guide was wonderful and the building incredible. But it was definitely overpriced—I guess they can charge what they want when it’s sold out on other venues. Still glad we went though!

Perfect Tour

The gathering was a little confusing but directions were very clear just needed to be patient. Our tour guide was amazing, she was clear, concise, and very educated. We appreciated the headset having 2 earpieces (been on multiple tours and much better to hear with 2). It was a full circle tour and was thankful also have free time in the end roam free/ self educate. I would highly recommend this tour. (Wish I could remember our tour guides name, she was from Spain; medium length brown hair, very pretty).

A Must See Visit in Barcelona

The tour was very informative. She spoke in Spanish then translated in English. Only negative is that the English translation was sometimes difficult to understand as she spoke so fast. We had an early tour, which I would recommend. By the time we were ready to leave the crowds arrived.

Sagrada Familia is so breathtaking and spiritually moving. From the moment you walk inside you feel the presence of God.

Great tour

Great guided, English speaking tour of this amazing attraction. Tour was timely, very informative and provided great information about this amazing attraction. Access to the Tower was on-your-own which allowed you to take as much time as you wished for pictures and navigating the steep, narrow stairs down. Great experience!

Good tour but a bit pricey

Good experience. The tour guide was knowledgeable and I learned a lot. A bit pricey for what you get. I waited too long to buy tickets from Sagrada Familia directly and they were sold out but luckily this tour still had space. Probably wouldn’t have paid so much if it wasn’t the only option

Probably the Most Famous Site in Barcelona with Possibly the Best Views of the City

The first thing to understand about La Sagrada Familia is that it is one of the most famous sites in Barcelona. While there are good times and bad times to visit, there will always be a lot of people. That being said - it is a must see. Whether you like local culture, history, famous architecture, religious icons or phenomenal views, you will not be disappointed. The self guided audio app is a little drier than other Gaudi sites, but will definitely interest history or architecture buffs. I highly recommend a tower tour (book in advance). Our 8 year old was getting a little bored wandering the basilica, but could not get enough of the tower. You take an elevator up and descend down an uncountable number of spiral stairs. There was still construction going on when we visited (which was actually pretty interesting in itself) but they are trying to finish construction in 2026 - the 100th anniversary of Gaudi's death. Well worth the visit.

Worth it.

Our guide, Cristina, had the difficult job of giving a bilingual tour. She gave us a lot of interesting information about La Sagrada. The inside of the church was so beautiful. The light coming through the windows was spectacular.

Great visit to Sagrada familia

It is a beautiful feeling when learning the history of this basilica. The guide was incredible, smart, well spoken, and gave us the best history lesson. The guide explained the idea of the front and back entrances to the church and the stories that were meant to tell us. My family of 6 enjoyed this tour and we highly recommend it.

Pros and cons

The Sagrada is wonderful, but the tour was lousy; the technology was iffy, and the tour guide was flat and difficult to understand through it. We abandoned the tour rapidly and just viewed it on our own.

Amazing tour

La Sagrada Familia is amazing, both outside and inside, and being able to listen from the guides the story about everything is perfect. A must see place, and a must do tour.

Great experience, not so great tour

Sagrada Familia itself is beautiful, unique, and a must-see while you are in Barcelona. However I have to give this tour a poor rating for a few reasons. Tour guide was very rude. My partner and I were running 2 minutes late due to getting stuck on the metro, and although being on time is very critical for these tours, normally there should be a least a few minutes allowed for any stragglers. The guide left the meeting spot early so we had to frantically search the area to find her. At least 5 others that joined the tour late were in the same situation as us. I had even messaged the guide saying we were having issues on transit but she still left early. Once we found her, she gave no direction on what was going on. On the tour itself, she seemed uninvested and lacked any passion when she was telling us the history of the church. She kept taking off and we had to wander around to find her. Overall, simply not the right person to be a tour guide. Second to this, the tour itself is very expensive and overpriced for what you get. For just $100 more through Viator you can get a full day trip away somewhere. This tour lasts less than an hour. If you can find an alternative tour for Sagrada Familia, I would recommend it. The church itself is great but this tour isn’t so much.

Debería ser más explicativo en el museo

The tour was divided into two groups, Spanish and English, but our Spanish group included more people in English, so one group was in English and the other bilingual, this meant that several things that the guide said in English were not say in Spanish and several details were omitted due to the time on the tour, I consider that more can be learned if the tour can be guided in the museum, since it ends before the climb to the tower and the guide disappearsNo me agradó que el trío era en español

Great tour

Silvia was great!! She had a great appreciation for La Sagrada Familia’s history and deep meaning, and shared her knowledge well.

The guide was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all questions the group had. The Basillica was beyond expectations…so beautiful!

Wish we could understand what our guide was saying

We selected the English tour. Our guide was almost impossible to understand. We had multiple people in our tour group leave early. My daughter and I had to download the Sagrada Familia ap so that we could learn about the things that we were seeing. It was a frustrating experience.

Terrible Tour Company

They took our money and booked us, then canceled the night before and I still haven't received a refund. I'm leaving this review to hopefully save some of you some money. There are more reputable companies out there to tour with, I would suggest looking somewhere other than here......

Poorly executed tour

This was a poor tour experience. We booked an English tour and the tour ended up being in Spanish and English, and the guide’s English was difficult to understand. She didn’t allow the group to spend any significant time in the main sanctuary of the church. During the underground part of the tour, she bypassed an entire section of educational displays. At that point we made a decision to separate from the group and take the time to visit the bypassed section. Then we went back into the church and took our time to absorb the beauty. We saw others from our group that did the same thing. The Sagrada Família was spectacular. Our tour unfortunately was not. The one good aspect was bypassing the line to get in.

Do some research before going in-

This tour got us in when public tickets were not available. That being said, the tour goes quickly there was so much more I wanted to know and ask. Catalina was our tour guide. She was well versed but with a heavy accent, she was difficult to understand. Grateful to have been on a bike tour earlier to have had more insight about this massive project.

poorly organized

It was very poorly organized. A lot of people were on this single tour, and they did not provide whispers for us. The Sagrada Familia was very crowded, and I kept on losing sight of our guild. Not to mention, I barely could hear her. I arrived at the check-in place on time, but many people did not. The check-in process took way too long due to the poorly organized organization. When we finally started the tour, it took more than half an hour. I had to cancel my next tour plan since the tour only very briefly and swiftly went through the place, and I really needed to check everywhere myself again. So, the process really wasted a lot of time, which is not ideal for my tight-scheduled trip to Barcelona.

Was not as advertised Dual language not English only

Booked an English guided tour however it was a multi language tour, English and Spanish. This distracted from the amount of information that the guide was able to provide. The guide just seemed to give an brief overview with little detail, due to having to repeat the information in a second language. About half the English speaker left as soon as 10 minutes into the tour, frustrated with the tour.
