Great Guide, La Sagrada Familia!

Iman was a great guide and showed us all around old town city center and Gaudi houses. She knew her history and aviator was able to produce Sagrada Familia tickets when no other agency could!

June 2024 tour

We went on this tour on June 2024. Our guide was Oriol. He was friendly and knowledgeable. The tour explained many things, including history, culture, and architecture. We are very happy that we went on the tour because we would not have known the information if we toured on our own. Great job. Thank you.

John was the best tour guide!

We booked the tour knowing very little about the history of architecture in Barcelona and ended the tour feeling well-informed and excited to explore more on our own. Our tour guide, John, had extensive knowledge of all aspects of its history and was happy and able to elaborate on points of history that piqued our interest. It was an excellent experience, and would highly recommend!

Our guide shared a lot of interesting local history. He paced the tour to us while still getting us to the cathedral on time.

Awesome adventure

Patricia was a fabulous guide. Knowledgeable, but relaxed and read our vibe. She imparted her wealth of knowledge without a lecture, but in casual conversation. We so enjoyed her comentary of a city she obviously loves.

We had a wonderful city and architecture tour with Horacio who was incredibly informative and enthusiastic. We learnt so much about the history and architecture of Barcelona. We finished with an audio tour of the amazing Sagrada Familia.

Tour Guide No Shows - No Recourse

Viator tour guide no showed. When I called he said there was a mix up and he needed to call office. He then called to say the office would call me. I asked him for the office number. He refused to provide and assured me they’d call. The office never called. I kept calling guide however, he stopped answering his phone. This trip was 6 months on the making. This tour was made a month prior. Sagrada Familia had no availability for several days; well past our departure. Trip Advisor needs to do more to assure suppliers take care of their customers. And they should provide some sort of assistance when there is a problem. Instead they are done with you once booking is made.

Our guide Jen, was fantastic, she shared her knowledge and provided us with lots of information about Gaudi and his designs. Great tour, highly recommend Jen.

A must do tour in Barcelona!

Andy and Iman were fantastic! We have been to four different countries in Europe and did at least one tour in every country and this tour was by far our favorite one. Andy was so knowledgeable and has a great personality. He also gave us some great recommendations for food and drinks.

Awesome Guide / Awesome Tour

Wow! I wasn’t sure what to expect - we have 3 children 7, 9, 11 who are less than interested in Gaudí history - before today. We met our guide Jennifer who was on time and very friendly. She seemed to know many of the other locals as we began our journey. We speak very little Spanish so having a guide who is fluent in English and Spanish was perfect. Jennifer was able to create a tour that not only satisfied my expectations but was able to keep the kids involved and interested with little details that helped keep their attention for the whole time. Amazing feat - better than I could have done. Jennifer’s knowledge of Barcelona overall helped us understand places and things we could do after the tour was over as well. I would say the tour’s value exceeds the cost. I only hope we can replicate this experience in the future in other cities in Europe - Jennifer set a high bar for future tour guides. Thank you Jennifer!!

A Most Memorable Adventure

Juan is an amazing guide. Our group of 7 could not have been more impressed with his knowledge, his great insights, his warm personality and how entertaining he made the tour. We were ready to hire him full time for the remainder of our 10 day trip.

Patricia was amazing for our family of 5! She was so knowledgeable and gave us extra tips post the trip. I would have missed so many historical facts without her. My kids were 3 and 4 and she customized the trip for us. They loved her to pieces. 10/10 experience and would recommend her everytime!

Julie was such a terrific guide. She is from France and speaks five languages and is a plethora of information. On time, personable and very knowledgeable. It was so nice to learn about what we were seeing without fighting the crowds and wondering what we were looking at. We had a terrific day learning and were In awe of what we saw.

This was an incredible walking tour. Our guide, Juan Hernan was excellent, and pointed out so many details and points of interest that we never would have noted. He was also extremely responsive to the needs of our group (6 people), and willing to adapt the pace to meet our needs. I highly recommend this tour, and this guide.

A great walking tour with an excellent guide!

Our guide, Juan Hernan De Carlo, was excellent! He customized the private walking tour and content to our specific interests, and was able to answer 100% of our questions. He was very knowledgeable about history, art, architecture and current culture, and he had an upbeat and friendly attitude. I would highly recommend this tour with him! We had a full 3 hour walking tour with Juan, followed by skip-the-line entrance into Sagrada Familiia (audio guide once we were inside).

Greatness of Gaudi private tour

We had a fabulous tour of all the key Gaudi works. The history behind it and the interesting stories were very insightful. We were able to see several churches and beautiful buildings. Horacio was an awesome guide for the private tour and spoke English very well. I would highly recommend the tour with him.

Great overview of Barcelona’s main buildings

Alex did a great job walking us to many of the major buildings & sites of the famous architects of Barcelona. She had immense knowledge & her iPad illustrations were helpful as well. Wear good walking shoes!!

Best day tour, Best guide!

We were in Barcelona for a 7 hour layover and wanted to make the best of our short time. Our guide, Juan Hernn, did an excellent job guiding us through the most important sites, balancing history with modern uses and developments. We had a lot of questions, lol, and Juan excitedly engaged with each question. I am a BIG fan of Gaudi architecture and this tour will give you a good sense of his evolution and life. The Segrada Familia is otherworldly and mesmerizing, a testament to best of human imagination.

Barcelona at its best !!

What a great day, loved wandering the streets of Barcelona with Horatio. He was very knowledgeable about the architecture and areas we visited. Loved having his expertise to ourselves, great way to get to experience the city with a fantastic guide.

Excellent tour of gaudian buildings in barcelona, and city history from roman village to current metrpolis

As first time visitors the guide (Paolo) managed to put together a very interesting mix of city history from roman village to current metropolis , while visting many buildings designed by Gaudi. We also got an impression of gaudi (too short) life and many of his design achievements. Finally we did have a good time studying the all impressive Sagrada Familia with its fantastic archtecture and many, many small gems of detailed elegant designs to honor and express the Christian cultures most important elements

Our tour guide was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and friendly. A lot of walking but he made it enjoyably stopping and explaining the history of Barcelona along the way.

Outstanding tour and wonderful guide

Our guide, Juan Hernon De Carlo was outstanding!!! He explained architecture as if he had truly lived every historical era. We had no idea that there were so many different styles of architecture. His knowledge of every area that we visited was thorough and he brought them to life. He truly seemed to enjoy sharing his love of Barcelona. We walked 16 kilometers (10 miles) so be sure you are up for that.

Our guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic! Enjoyed the extensive pre-tour of the Gothic quarter and information about Gaudi-including visits to the exteriors of several buildings before arriving at Sagrada Familia.

A great learning experience.

Pedro did an incredible job of showing us around Barcelona and showing us examples of the works of Gaudi and other important Spanish architects. After the tour we regretted we were leaving the next day and could not spend more time at a few of the sites, Pedro’s passion and knowledge of the subject was extraordinary. At Sagrada Familia we were guided around the exterior of the building and learned a lot about the progress of the project over the full 150 years of the construction. We then left our guide and entered the cathedral. The visit inside the Sagrada Familia is an audio tour provided by the site. Bring a fully charged phone and headphones to get the best of your time inside. Also, if you can time your visit to early morning or late afternoon you will get a spectacular view of the natural light illuminating the stained glass windows. I do highly recommend this tour for anybody who wants to learn a lot about the history of Spain, the life of Gaudi and the construction of the Sagrada Familia. Thank you Pedro for a great afternoon

Brilliant tour

The guide was very knowledgeable they were accommodating of my mum who struggles with mobility. Creating stops in the tutor for her to have breaks. The whole group really enjoyed the tour and felt they leant a lot. The Sagrada familiar was amazing and a must see if you visit Barcelona. The whole experience was very enjoyable

Wonderful Private Tour by a Wonderful Guide

My son and I had a wonderful experience on this private tour given by Frederic. He was extremely knowledgeable, and I would consider him a walking encyclopedia. He showed us things about other notable buildings including those by Gaudi that we never would have known or noticed. We learned more during our tour than we did in our history classes back in school. Frederic was also extremely friendly and considerate. The Sagrada Familia should not be missed by any visitor to Barcelona. I highly recommend this tour.

Good for Barcelona, less good for Sagrada Familia

The Sagrada Familia is a spectacular place to visit. It was disappointing that the private guide did not guide us in the Sagrada Familia, but rather it was simply an audio guide. Nico was fine for showing us the city.

Augusto did a wonderful walking tour of the area. And he was flexible with our start time because we had travel delays that impacted our schedule. He communicated well and timely through WhatsApp in advance of our arrival. We found each other right away and he customized the tour so that we could maximize the time we had.
