Just go! We had no dance experience (other than watching Dirty Dancing) and had a blast! George has the ability to be both funny and informative. We are still laughing. The host will make you feel comfortable and the others you meet will become fast friends. Young, old, talented, not talented, all are welcomed.

Very memorable evening

Paula is very welcoming and Jorge is a fabulous teacher who is also hilarious. This small group lesson was so much fun and a great introduction to Argentine tango. If we lived in Barcelona, we would definitely continue with private lessons. We will be following their YouTube

Wonderful experience for a group of friends with no dance experience. The instructors are friendly and made the experience memorable.

Really fun class

The class was so much fun. You learn the basics of tango, drink something and have a good time. The instructors are really patient and fun. I totally recommend this experience for everyone that visit Barcelona. I would say that for this activity you need a partner, just in case you plan to go by yourself.

It was an enchanting evening that perfectly captured the spirit and romance of the city. Our tango instructors, passionate and skilled dancers, welcomed us warmly. Paula began by explaining the basics of tango, emphasizing the importance of connection and communication between partners. Her enthusiasm was infectious, and soon we were eager to start dancing. As the lesson progressed, we found ourselves getting lost in the rhythm and emotion of the dance. The instructor's guidance helped us move with more confidence, and we started to understand the subtle language of tango. The music, a beautiful blend of traditional and modern tango, set the perfect mood. It felt magical to be dancing under the open sky, with the city lights twinkling around us. Despite a few missteps and laughs, Tim and I managed to learn a few basic steps and sequences. There was something incredibly romantic about sharing this experience together, the closeness of the dance bringing us even closer. It was as if the rest of the world faded away, leaving just the two of us and the dance. After the lesson, we stayed on the rooftop for a while, enjoying the view and the cool evening breeze. The city seemed even more beautiful from up there, and the memory of our tango lesson made it all the more special. The rooftop tango lesson was more than just a dance class; it was a magical moment that encapsulated the romance, beauty, and excitement of our time in Barcelona. It’s an experience we’ll cherish forever.

A favorite moment in Barcelona

This was one of our favorite moments spent in Barcelona! George and Paula were so warm and gracious. The steps were simple, the sangria was incredible, and the social classroom style was so fun and charming. I’d go again if ever back in Barcelona. A truly 10/10 experience! My girlfriend and I felt safe, invited, and loved the video at the end. (This was an LGBT friendly experience for us!)

The BEST tango lessons ever

So. Much. Fun!! This is a sensational dance class. George, our teacher, was fun and gave brilliant instructions. We met fellow travellers of all ages and shared a drink and stories. George and Paula were warm and wonderful. THE BEST time!

Paolla was wonderful. Perfect experience! She personalized the lesson, all wonderful! She took time to learn everyone's name, added humor and great sangria!

This tango lesson is a hidden gem in this beautiful city that you should look into if you want a unique experience. Paula is a wonderful human being and instructor. She simplified the dance steps of tango into a routine that we left practicing for hours. No matter your dancing experience, you will walk away from this loving tango!! Highlight of our trip!

Booked this as a surprise for my partner's birthday and honestly we had the best time. No one in the group had tango experience and Paula had everyone dancing by the end, would 100% recommend.

Wow just wow amazing experience

Wow to from start to finish!!!! The location was in such a qauint, barcelona gothic style apartment building & getting there was easy, fun and an amazing experience in itself!! My partner and I came from Australia, the hosts were welcoming and so fun, both were such characters. You're greeted with a fun smile and ease at the door, nothing seemed to hard or difficult. They offered a beverage and place to put your things, then to build team ship they introduced all guests, opening conversation up at ease. Drinks seemed bottomless and as for the lessons themselves so much fun, leaders and followers for the dance are split in the most fun way (don't want to ruin the surprise) and joined back together to practice what each has learned together to make the tango come alive!!! The view from the rooftop was so cool a real look through the eyes of true barcelonians. They take their time, make it all fun and at the end take photos or a video or both of you and your partner. This is a memory that will last forever and the start of a dance between my partner and myself that had come alive looking forward to our next lesson!!! All in all 5 stars get down here, book in before its too late you won't regret it!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fun and Great new experience

Paula and Jorge were wonderful hosts, and Paula was a great instructor for a group of novice tango dancers. It was fun, especially after you got beyond your unfounded fear of embarrassment. Everyone had a blast!

Great experience and super fun

Paula was fabulous. So welcoming and friendly. Being the eldest couple in the group we were worried we might feel out of place but Paula was great at getting everyone involved and putting us all at ease. Everyone’s dancing abilities were different but even for us with no dance experience Paula explained the moves simply and in a fun way. By the end of the session we had all mastered a great dance. We would definitely recommend it.

Friendly and fun

Both the instructors were super lovely, funny & accommodating. It was a lovely atmosphere and as a queer couple we didn’t feel out of place. Was nice meeting all the different people

The rude welcome i got because of difficultly finding the location. Yes i was late but not to allow me in was absurd. To say that other students would not like that is silly. You.can’t read other peoples mind. You should return my money or offer another dsy for free. I have blog on travel and will give a terrible review. John

Oh my goodness what a wonderful experience!! We arranged a rooftop tango experience for my Daughter (the bride to be) and her Family and friends. We were made so welcome and had so much fun and wish we could do it all over again. Thank you for making it such a special experience 🥰.

An excellent, super friendly experience that we are all still talking and laughing about. Paula and George gave us a brief glimpse into the cultural significance and soul of Tango. Their patience heavily outweighed our talent, however we all felt we had achieved something in our taught sequence. Of all our activities in beautiful Barcelona, this visit to a sunny evening rooftop always raises a smile, and was one that we all felt was thoroughly worthwhile. My husband and I had a great evening meeting new people and sharing a fun evening learning a tango dance sequence! The instructor was knowledgeable, witty, supportive and helped bring out the best in all of us! The welcome cocktail of Sangria, wine or beer helped break the ice with getting started! I would recommend this to anyone visiting Barcelona!

Best Barcelona Experience

This was such a fun experience. The instructor took us from stepping on each others toes to having a tango routine in less than an hour. I would recommend this to anyone in Barcelona as a must do!

Fun class with your friend or partner!

We had very friendly instructors who were both funny and remembered everyone's name wihtin us being there for 10 minutes. They also gave us very clear instructions to get there, during the class, and gave us their music playlist and videos to practice our routine for after. This is a great class to take before having dinner in the Gothic Quarter.

Fun, interactive, intimate

I highly recommend this tango class! I will be referring it to anyone who travels to Barcelona! My boyfriend and I took this class, and met wonderful people from various places. The instructor is very thorough, and makes sure you feel comfortable with the dance moves. It is a very fun ambiance, with great Sangria! If you have the opportunity I wouldn’t miss this class!

Making Memories

How many languages can I say excellent? Jorge and Paula were a delight. The class was easy to follow. Such a great way to break up the monotony sightseeing. I would recommend this to anyone visiting the city. But also to those who may be looking for a fun date idea.

On a whim we booked thinking it would be something different and fun!! And it was an absolute blast! Lots of laughs and somehow we learnt some Tango!! Thoroughly recommend!!

Truly amazing

A truly amazing instructors. Fun and very welcoming! Sangria, a dance that is easily learned (even by someone with no experience like me), but looks really good and just great atmosphere! Probably best thing we did in Barcelona.

Connecting the body & soul with movement

Good, clear instructions of the location. In the centre of the gothic quarter, so was easy to locate and great for food after to recharge your energy levels! Paula & Jorge were great hosts and greeted us with drinks to start the session. We got to chat with other guests and learn about how the Tango school started. We were taught in small, bite-sized steps and to the beat of the music. Once we all got the first bits, we moved on until eventually we all did a small routine to music. Paula & Jorge even took our photos/videos of the routine for us to look back on our progress! It was a great evening, with amazing, patient & enthusiastic hosts- I would 110% recommend this to anyone looking to connect with the local culture and learn something new! 90% of our group were total beginners and had a great time and took home something exciting that we can be proud of! Well done to Paula & Jorge
