Excursion you’ll remember for forever

Out of all of our excursions this one was our favorite. It was nice to get out of the busy city and go into nature. The views are spectacular but the history was my favorite part. We stopped in Vic on the way which showed an ancient Roman building, still intact. Then after the mountain hike we then went to another small village that was like no other. I didn’t want to leave, it was just perfect. Martha was our guide and she was perfect! She was incredibly knowledgeable, funny, and very kind.

Fantastic, enjoyable, insightful

Rod was my guide and was incredible. Very knowledgeable and informative, very accomadating. Noticed I was a hiker and took me on an amazing hike where he pointed out the goats we came across plus different plants etc. Accomadated everyones needa and ensured everyone was comfortable. Thankyou, it was fantastic ans highly recommend.

Great tour!

Arnau was an amazing guide! Queralbs is such a neat little village and Vall de Núria is beautiful. Arnau was very knowledgeable of the history of the area.

A wonderful day in the Pyrenees

We loved the scenery from the vehicle, the train and the ski resort. The Vic markets were fabulous and Nu was great in advising us to purchase fresh food for lunch. The Quelbs village and church was delightful. Overall a wonderful day. Nu our guide had to deal with a couple of unexpected issues but did well.

Our small group was three, one couple and one single. It was great!

I believe this is a great experience and opportunity to see some of Spain that is NOT a BIG CITY. We stopped in and toured Vic on the way to the smaller towns and tram. The tram ride, and resort at the top were highlights. As were the little villages that we stopped at on the way back. Our guide, Sergio, had personal contacts in one town and got the key to get us into a church built in the 12th Century! It was amazing to 'feel' the age of the building. The door had a lock on it with a date stamped into it - 1802. It was 'like new' when compared to the actual age of the building. There was also a section of wall in the town that dated back to the Roman times. The overall scenery was quite beautiful - in spite of the fact that we had some rain/drizzle/fog for much of the day and trip. I was particularly pleased and surprised with the use of water - with viaducts and low-head-dams used to route the same water/stream through multiple hydro-electric facilities. It was truly an excellent use of a renewable, reusable, literally inexhaustible resource. Certainly some of the power for the electrically-powered tram railway was generated right at the use.

Great day trip from Barcelona

Unfortunately the weather was poor during our trip to the Nuria Valley. However our guide worked hard to make the experience fun and exciting for everyone. I loved our time in Queralbs. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and we learned so much about the history of the area.

Pyrenees one day trip

Jordi was very knowledgeable about the history & provided great insight. It started snowing when we were at Nuria valley! Special treat for us. Hotel, train & amenities were well set up. Loved it.

Perfect one-day excursion from Barcelona!

Such an amazing experience! Our guide Marta was energetic, funny, and really interesting. She told us so much about the history of the area and included wonderful details about her own family history. I strongly recommend this trip if you are interested in a day in the Pyrenees.

David was very helpful the entire time and knowledgeable about the Catalan history. The views were beautiful in the mountains and we had plenty of time to explore. Get the real experience of the Pyrenees mountains

For many years, I have wanted to go up into the Pyrenees because I love mountains and the natural scenery. Well, this trip,with David as the guide, was wonderful. We heard lots of interesting things about the history of Cataluña since medieval times to the present. We visited several medieval towns, walked around them, and had free time to explore on our own. The highlight of the day was to ride in the funicular train high up the Pyrenees and then take a cable car even higher, well above the snow line. David explained the best things to do, then we had free time to explore whatever most interested us. It was a great, very satisfying experience. And I finish with a comment of David's driving. It seemed to me he thought he was a driver in a F1 race... He had total control but the experience was, shall we say, unforgettable. All up, I thoroughly recommend this tour. Brilliant!!

Tour of the Spanish Pyrenees

Great experience and very happy with our Guide Steve. Niche level groups especially for ours with children that could interact made all the difference to the extended time frame.

Great Landscape/ wonderful places BUT the experience depends on the guide and she was terrible without any knowledge..

The guide lady was extremely unexperienced and send me on non existing trails/ tracks. Before she was Not able to answer simple questions in the surrounding. Very, very poor ... even her driving was "terrible". The landscape and Vic, as well as the roman town next to Valle de Nuria was beautiful. Without such bad Guide IT could have been awesome. Never ever had such bad unexperienced, not caring lady as a guide. She shouldn't do that kind of job and was even arguing with me about "the track". If I could rate no points, that's it. Great tour, but really not with that lady (Daria? *forgot her name!!! (tour on 21/03/24) Also was only talking to the Canadian woman and did not really cared about the others. No knowledge and ending almost every sentence with "I'll show/ explain you later."

Trip to the Pyrenees

Daviv added a lot of context and history to the places we visited, which was enjoyable. We also took different ways to and from our final destination to maximize the number of places visited.

And the Angels Sing

Sergio was a wonderful guide! Also loved the small group-much preferred to the large group tours. It was a full day with a mountaintop picnic. Would have liked more time in Nuria, but overall was a special trip! My friend sang Ava Maria in a small church with only us there. It was goosebumps magical!

Fantastic experience in the Pyrenees

What a fantastic tour. Our tour guide Rod is so knowledgeable and entertaining. He had us imagining ourselves in medieval times as we walked around the town of Vic then took us too the Pyrenees mountains where the views were absolutely breathtaking! Rod took great care of all of us and went out of his way to ensure that we all had a great experience. I would definitely tour with him and this company again!

Not to be missed

Great trip and beautiful scenery. Lovely group of people, and a wonderful tour guide Berta that made the visit totally not to be missed. It’s a long drive, but a must do to get out of the city and experience something else. You’ll visit a couple medieval towns as well thst are just beautiful. Lots of history as well that makes you want to know more.

Explore Catalunya- Highly Recommended

Steve is one of the best tour guides I’ve been with. He is well informed on the history of the cities we explore and extremely engaging. He even ensured my safety on my first hiking journey (I know I was dreading it at the moment, but sooo glad I went through it as the waterfalls were worth it and my legs got stronger). It’s a must to at least go on one of their day trips

Interesting, refreshing and enjoyable trip!

Had an enjoyable trip to Vic & trekking at Pyrenees. Rod was very knowledgeable with history and great at explaining the tour, story telling etc on the way, and helping us taking great pictures. We appreciated the free time he gave us at the Pyrenees. Rod is a good driver with comfortable vehicle. We would recommend this tour to others.

Pyrenees was beautiful!!

We had a great guide, Rod! He was so knowledgeable and drove our small group to the mountains and did a short hike to a waterfall for a picnic and visited 2 medieval towns. It was great to see other things outside of Barcelona. Since we love to hike, this was a perfect day trip for us. Thank you, Rod. :-)

Pyrenees Mountains 🏔️

Awesome views and very intimate experience seeing the more remote settlements of Vic and Queralbs. Our tour guide Rod was awesome. Very knowledgeable and hilarious, and always made sure to involve everyone in the group. Would love to do another tour with him! Great day trip!!

Rod was a great guide. My husband and I really enjoyed our trip to the Pyrenees mountain and visited the Vic city and the medieval towns. We did a short hike to the waterfall to have lunch and it was amazing!! Rod was so knowledgeable and was very caring about all the people in his group. We have a total of 6 people. Yes I would definitely recommend Rod to guide and we would take other trip Rod guide if we were to come back to Barcelona. Thank you, Rod…we appreciate you.

Exploration the mountains and clouds: the unexpected

I booked the tour as a live introduction to The Pyrenees. Sergio orchestration of our tour from start to finish was more than I expected. I am an aficionado of history and antiquities. Each city we toured Sergio provided an in depth overview drawing on both historical past and present. The importance of the locality in reference to what is Cataluña and her contribution to the globe was also welcoming. As we toured each location Sergio passionately provided a glimpse into each location’ history drawing on additional references as we inquired. He made it feasible for us to gleam and visualise past and present day to day life. As I write this review I recollect how enamoured I was to feel alive in each city walking through the locality rich and sustainable history. The tour is designed incredibly well that La Vall de Núria allowed time for me to reflect also to enter an exquisite place of nature. Yesterday I finally posted a photo on Instagram reference: “a journey into self.” Should you have a passion for history I applaud you in advanced for selecting this tour. Thanks Sergio, above all for the gifts of the unexpected. In truth I customarily do not reserve organised tours however your delivery of the unexpected will remain memorable. Our group of eight will remain enchanted!

Beautiful experience

The mountains and villages were beautiful and an authentic experience out of the touristy city! I only wish we'd have more time to hike and stay in the Pyrenees. For anyone interested in going, consider bringing a light jacket. It can get pretty chilly even in July. Overall, this was a memorable one day trip. Enrique was knowledgeable and down to earth.

Best day of our lives

Our tour guide Xavier was fantastic in every way! Very friendly, enthusiastic about the tour and informative about all the stops. He always made sure to give us some free time to explore and point out the main attractions. We ended up getting engaged on this excursion and it was the most unforgettable day from start to finish. The Nuria Valley will now hold a special place in our hearts and we can’t wait to return someday!

A Great Way to Escape the City and Explore Nature

This feels like an absolute must-experience for any outdoorsy individual visiting Barcelona. Cam, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable and made the roughly 2hr drive fascinating. The towns we visited were a long enough stay to get a true sense of each while exploring medieval churches and Roman structures. It was a great way to begin before the arrival to the Pyrenees. The only caveat is that time in the mountains is limited. So, if you're someone who wants to really hike (anything longer than an hour) you should do a self-guided trip. However, for comfort and ease this is certainly a trip to do.

Xavier gave us an unforgettable tour! Highly recommend. He went above and beyond at each stage of the tour. Lots of free time to explore and never felt rushed. Very friendly and knowledgeable about all of the places we visited.

The trip was as described. Stephen, our guide, was excellent. The small village on the way to Nuria Valley was my favorite spot, and overall it was well worth the time we spent driving into the Pyrenees.

Pyrenees adventure

It was a wonderful day full of surprises especially the destination at the end of the train. The surroundings were beautiful and serene. Steven was a knowledgeable guide and very aware of his audience. We had 2 children with us and he made it fin for them.

could've been better...

my partner and I have mixed feeling about this tour. we love the locations on this tour (Vic, Querabls, and Valle de Nuria) but we don't love our tour guide nor how rushed it felt. It was a small group tour (6 persons), so we were taken in a passenger van, and our tour guide was very soft spoken thus it was very difficult for us being squeezed in the 3rd row to hear what she had to say, not that she had a lot to say to begin with. Queralbs was so picturesque though. but definitely if you want to "hike" more, go there independently as with this tour, we were only allowed about 1hr of free time once we got to the ski resort - not enough to walk around / eat / use the facilities...

one of my favorite

it was one of my favorite parts of my trip. we had a small group, great tour guide Xavier, who was knowledgeable and patient with my son who did not stop talking to him, and breath taking views. The places we visited were beautiful! . Make sure you go up by cable car when you are in the mountains.
