Not so Private cava tour

This is not a private tour. Paid for a “private” tour which was actually just a private driver but we were grouped with a tour van full of people that we were with the entire time. We had a few extra snacks provided to us during the tastings. Should have saved $ and just gone with a group. Rob, our guide and both wineries was great and the properties are stunning.

We loved that we had a personal driver pick us up at the hotel and drove us to all the locations. the driver was very reliable. the tour was great and we learned alot. the portions of the food and wine pours were very generous! would recommend!

Wonderful Wine Tasting Experience

Wine tasting at 2 wineries, Pere Ventura and Can Bas, where we tasted 4 cavas (including a rose), 3 whites and 3 reds. Driver was excellent and hosts at each winery were superb. Tours were informative.

Treat yourself to this day trip!

Being picked up at our hotel in a classy Mercedes minivan by Montse was a real treat. She told us all about the Penedes wine region en route and took excellent care of us. The cava and wine tastings were incredible and we will treasure this day for a long time.

Cava discovery experience

Laia at Pere Ventura was excellent in knowledge and energy and personality and personal attention. Our driver David was professional , polite and very punctual throughout the tour.

No show. Big disappointment 😢

We were really looking forward to this trip. Wine is our passion and we love to explore places we haven’t been to before so a trip to Penedes was just what we were looking for. The only trouble is no one turned up. Communication was late too as we were not told it was cancelled until an hour after the promised pick up time. Then to rub salt in the wound we had an email from Trip Advisor that our refund could take 5 days. This is an expensive trip so spend your money wisely! We clearly didn’t!

Great tour of Penedes!

From the moment Paco picked us up at our airbnb in the Mercedes van, the trip was fantastic. There were only 5 of us so we were able to see and hear every word from the guides at Can Bas in the Penedes region. Our guide, Ariadna, gave great explanations of the wines and the reasons for using each glass. Part of our tour was in the rain and even that was calming and interesting. All 5 of us give the tour 10 stars out of 5!!

Amazing services and very fast response

We had a group Wine Tour for 35 People organized by Melanie. That tour is amazing, good food, very nice bus transfer, she also prepared the surprise bags with our company logo and water inside.

Wonderful, romantic experience for our honeymoon!

Melanie with Barcelona Discovery took us to a beautiful winery outside of Barcelona. After a wine tasting and tour of the facilities we were given a picnic basket and map that led to a private table set up in the middle of the vineyard. It was a highlight of our trip!

VIP treatment with great Cava

Melanie at Barcelona Discovery went over the top to make suggestions and help me design a tour that was absolutely PERFECT for my group. It cost a bit more than some other options, but it was worth it to get an excellent custom-tailored experience with quality service and amenities. My friends and I have not stopped talking about it!

Amazing vineyard experience!

This was absolutely hands down the best part of my trip to Barcelona. Booked the Vineyard and wine tasting private tour with Barcelona Discovery for late October 2018. Melanie picked me up at hotel and drove me first to a gorgeous family run small production vineyard. The owner was gracious enough to provide the tour and the fascinating history behind the vineyard and the process of how they make their wines. Afterwards, had a taste of the four different kinds of wine. So good! After that Melanie drove me to the cava vineyard, where i was given a tour of the of the production, history and caves of where the cava is made, processed and stored. Such a cool thing to see! After we had 5 different cava tastings paired with some delicious bites. I ordered a bunch of wine from the first vineyard and cava from the second vineyard and Melanie helped me with some translations and the process of getting it shipped to my home in the US. Melanie from Barcelona Discovery was incredibly patient, never rushed any of the tours and even had a great conversation about Barcelona and the wine region we were driving too. Overall - it was a such a great experience and everyone should do this tour!

Gran día de vinos y experiencias

Ahora conozco el tiempo que pasa desde que crece las uvas hasta que las bebemos un una cava. Grata experiencia de conocer dos viñedos de diferente tamaño pero ambos muy buenas experiencias en compañía de Mario una y de Martha la otra siempre con el acompañamiento de Melanie

Fantástico día y regalo entre viñas

Mi hija me regalo un tour de cata de vinos y comida incluida a través de Barcelona Discovery, tuve la suerte de poderlo compartir con mis amigas. Por la mañana nos recogió Melanie, responsable de Barcelona Discovery, y fuimos hacia Vilafranca Penedes a las Cavas Llopart, preciosas cavas en medio de las viñas de Subirats, la visita fue muy amena y interesante, descubrimos muchas cosas. Finalizamos la visita con una degustacion de vinos y aperitivos de productos locales, muy buenos!!! Después de la visita nos esperaba una estupenda y copiosa comida en el restaurante El Mirador de las Cavas. Fue un día completo y un regalo muy original en buena compania. Lo recomiendo especialmente! Muchas gracias Mélanie por tu atención y gran profesionalidad.
