Private Departure Transfer from Central Barcelona to El Prat Airport

Great communication, Easy to book.

Great communication and easy to use service. We were a family group of 3 adults needing an early morning transfer from a private residence outside of central Barcelona. It was easy to book online. The price was the same as the taxi we took from the airport at the beginning of our trip. We received a reminder the night before by text and email and again an hour before pick up, including the phone number of our taxi driver. He phoned us when he was on his way. The driver was charming and took us on the fastest route, avoiding a traffic jam. We highly recommend using this service for private transfer to or from El Prat Airport.

Supposed to be executive car transfer but we were picked up in a taxi. You should not advertise it as executive transfer service if it is a taxi service.

Reliable and friendly

Driver was on time, personable and put us at ease. I e had nothing but pleasant experiences with viator and will highly recommended it to my friends, colleagues and family!

Unreliable

We booked this months in advance as a special service to be sure that we would get to the airport on time, and they almost made us miss our flight. The taxi was late and when we called they put us on hold for almost 20 minutes and when they got back on, they said it could be another 10 to 15 minutes. I told them that will make us miss our flight and that we needed wheelchair assistance and had to get to the airport. Only then did they send out a taxi immediately.

A no show

Our ride didn’t show up and we needed to find other transportation. Extremely disappointed and frustrated. I would like a total refund in the manor it was paid.

First Disappointment with Viator

Unfortunately, although we changed our pickup time (and my travel agent confirmed) to be picked up half an hour earlier due to race traffic in Barcelona, the message was not relayed to the taxi service and we had to call a cab last minute. We have yet to receive a refund.

Quick & comfortable way to get to the airport. Driver was on time and helpful in pointing us in the right direction at the airport.

As expected. Took several messages and finally a phone call to confirm a pick up time change to the airport. More expensive than a taxi from the hotel.

Poor communication

I had to contact Viator twice by phone and once by chat. The chat was at 2:30 am because the driver never responded to me regarding pick up time. My flight was at 7:50am. I woke up at 4:30am hoping I had a ride to the airport and he emailed me just before my pickup.

Deceiving

If the idea is to make future purchasers fully aware I would not recommend this service. The picture conveys the image of a private car service. That’s not what I received. We were taken to the airport in a taxi. I paid approximately 10 euros more for the service than if I had gone outside my hotel to the cab line.

Arrived to pick us up very on time. The driver was very courteous and helpful . The 12 seater van very clean and the ride was careful . I’ll recommend this transport service

Efficient and polite

Service was fantastic; collection from hotel to airport (was booked by hotel) ; but you can flag down these taxis anytime there are always plenty around. Price was good too

Not happy no one showed!

They claim I agreed to a 11:30 pick up time. I never agreed to that time I requested a 10:30 pick up due to issues with my vaccination and Covid test paperwork. Lufthansa requested I arrive at least 3 hours before departure. I wrote to Viator 5 times requesting this time. No one showed after they agreed to a 10:30 pickup after we spoke on the phone. They are refusing my refund request. I’ve sent them screenshots of the messages I sent as well as the screen shot of the 50 second phone call.

The departure was not so easy... The driver was directed from viator to the wrong terminal. Thankfully he asked for our flight and he knew where to leave us. Additionally,we discovered that it was very easy to book a taxi by ourselves and the price would be much cheaper. More than 15 euros

The driver arrived at the hotel at the time stated and drove safely to the airport. He was helpful in handing my suitcase to me and wished me well.

Great price, great service

When planning day trips in Barcelona the Viator agent inquired whether I needed transfer on my return home trip. I did indeed and the service was prompt and efficient. Best of all it was very reasonable. When I arrived in Barcelona I had a car from the hotel meet me...at a cost of 125 Euros!

I will definitely be using Viator again!! The service was great! I had changed my pick up time twice and they got us on time . They were always on time.

I called them 35 mins past the pick up time on the day of, and the operator was scrambling to get a driver to get to the hotel.She said someone will be at the hotel in 5 mins, and with the confusion, we thought after 5 mins, the taxi that pulled up at the hotel was one of theirs, and we ended up with the wrong taxi. I cannot recommend Viator at all...

The phone number Viator gave me to contact the car firm in Barcelona was completely non operational and their 'confirmation' did not confirm the pick up time or departure point.. Neither I nor my hotel could get through to them. I then phoned Viator in USA who told me everything was in hand and the car would arrive at my hotel the next day as booked. Needless to say there was no sign of it. For a so called 'premium' private car service this was totally unprofessional and a complete waste of time.</p>

I did not notice this until it was 9:15pm and we were getting anxious. If Viator was going to change the pick up time, it should have been written that way in the e-mail and also clearly indicated as changed. Changing a pick up time to go to the airport is not professional or considerate.</p>
