Being told that I could not go on the tour because they had overbooked! Did not get the message until the day of the tour messed up the whole day very unhappy with you guys about this!

The Picasso you don’t know.

Fantastic guide. Obviously she was connected to the art scene in Barcelona. She shared a fountain for info about Picasso, from his childhood years to what we all know of him late in his life. She set up each room and walked us through an in depth chronological tour of Picasso’s development toward inventing cubism. Highly recommend.

A waste of time and money, with a strong dose of disappointment

This was one of the worst tours I have been on. The guide, who admittedly was very knowledgeable about Picasso, started 15 minutes late (some of the guests were late, but I thought we weren’t supposed to wait for them.). It was hard to find the gathering spot, which was a doorway down about a half block from the museum. The guide was not attentive to nor engaged with the 19 guests. She repeatedly started talking about a specific painting before all guest had come into the room (although we could hear her through the sound system.) She did not pay attention to making sure all guests were still present—some could have gotten lost and she woudn’t even have known. During her presentation, she rarely looked at the guests, mostly looked at the painting, down, or even other aspects in the room while talking. She had very little humor, and her presentation sounded very scripted and monotone. She also spoke too fast, which was hard for older guests with some hearing challenges, like me, to understand, The speaker system didn’t help. I finally gave up trying to hear her content and just went along to finish. This was a very disappointing experience and a waste of money.

Olga E was a phenomenal guide. She made the tour so enjoyable and informative. We had a great time! Museum was very crowded but Olga made sure we got to see everything we wanted to. Tour came with headphones so we could hear all of the information.

Our guide was fun, knowledgeable, personable and made it a great experience. We learned a lot and thoroughly enjoyed it.

A Good Tour

Our guide was very interesting and informative, offering a lot of information about Picasso, his work and what influenced his pieces at certain points in his life, Picasso's changing stylized arc, etc. Very fascinating. We would, however, have liked a more interesting delivery and enthusiasm, more personality behind our guide, he was very bland. But given that it was quite crowded, perhaps any excitement or passion shown by a guide would be lost anyway with all of the other competing voices and tours. Anyway, I'd recommend.

Where is my guide?

My guide was 30 minutes late and only stayed for 30 minutes. He then left saying that he had another appointment! Nevertheless we got charged for the whole tour which was originally scheduled for 90 minutes.

Worth the visit

Museum shows early works of Picasso which is very interesting but don’t expect to see his blockbuster works. Our guide was knowledgeable but monotone and lacked engagement.

Nice tour of Barcelona's Picasso museum

We went on this tour to experience one of Spain's best artists' works. The tour was good, although the group was a bit too big for a museum this size.

Waited at meeting spot , only to find out after activating internet that Tour was cancelled at the last minute- still waiting for a refund.

New appreciaton

Very knowledgeable, patient and friendly guide. Museum very interesting and provided a new appreciationfor Picasso's works.. Some disappointment to see even one of Picasso's most famous pieces.

Tour sizes are too large.

The guide was excellent, but the size of the group - 20+ - was too much. The rooms in the museum are small. There were other tours present plus individual patrons, so the spaces were very crowded making the exhibits difficult to see. Plus, just as added info, the museum only reflects Picasso's early years. It is really worth seeing though.

A nice tour.

The guide was full of information about the "stories behind the paintings". It made it much more interesting than just looking at the paintings.

tour guide gave good information - adding depth to understanding the art also, guide made sure we met in an area away from entrance in order to facilitate beginning of tour as a group. museum was quite crowded at 3PM afternoon. perhaps a different time slot should be considered. After this tour- which featured Picasso's deconstruction of the famous painting by Velazquez- it was a treat to visit the actual "Las Meninas" at the Prado

Great Picasso tour for everyone

Great tour to take, especially if you are a fan of Picasso. Alina made sure we were able to connect with our guide in the beginning and followed through till the end. Veronica who was our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. Her passion for what she does came through from the beginning.

More than just ‘Blue Period’… an essential primer

We had an exceptional guide who provided most helpful context around the many dimensions — and different eras — spanning Picasso’s life works. Would highly recommend this 90-min tour to understand the brilliance and contradiction from which Picasso created.

A great way to learn about the artist and his art

I knew very little about Picasso before taking the tour. The guide provided a thorough explanation of the evolution of Picasso's art throughout his life and the events that influenced his art.

Fantastic tour with a very knowledgeable guide. Without a guided tour it would have been difficult to navigate the vast museum with multiple exhibition rooms. This really helped us appreciate the genius of Picasso. Highly recommend this tour.

Very knowledgeable guide. Good transition of Picasso career and influences. Seeing the drafts of the Mientras was fascinating.

Unable to complete

The guide never showed up and never responded we had to buy our tickets and headphones. The meeting place was very difficult to find and they never responded to our texts confirming the meeting place

He was great! Enjoyed our tour very much! He was very informative and really funny. The museum was very crowded but he still managed to work us smoothly through there. He didn't miss a beat! I would highly recommend to others!

Our guide Anna was energetic, thoughtful, knowledgeable and patient. My infant granddaughter was along for the tour and at various moments needed additional attention. Anna made this tour a special tour for all of us.

We loved our Picasso museum tour with Joesy (forgive we are not sure of spelling). He showed us works from Picasso's earliest years to his last painting. We loved learning so much of his life through his paintings and sculptures and enjoyed our tour guide stories. I would highly recommend this tour.

Wonderful tour and guide

Our guide “Ali” (nickname) was wonderful. Pleasant, informative and made for a great experience! Booking was easy and everything was punctual and well-organized.

We arrived 10 min late...

We arrived 10 min late because of issues with a taxi. We missed the tour and actually had to pay for admission again. The fact that I had already paid for entrance was apparently not valid. The museum was great anyway.

The guide gave a very thorough tour through the museum. She gave us enough background about the era of each important Picasso work and his life.

Very unorganized. Spit into two group and ended up in the same room. Could not hear over competing voices. We ended up leaving the group.

Great Guide

Marco did a great explanation of a series of paintings that were based on another artists single work. This was very educational. Marco taught us more about Picasso than I knew before.

Excellent tour of early works

We had a terrific private tour, just the 4 of us, of the Picasso Museum. Our tour was scheduled for 2:00 pm on the day we arrived so we were all pretty tired but wanted to stay up to get accustomed to the new time zone. Our guide was knowledgeable and showed us very interesting aspects of Picasso’s early works. It was definitely a worthwhile tour!

Seeing the artist's less public art was interesting. I liked to compare it with Picasso's Guernica and other well known paintings.
