Disappointing guide

Quite disappointed in our tour. We booked a tour in English but ended up in a combined Spanish English tour. We felt that the tour guide did not really give us the same amount of time or attention as was given to the Spanish participants. Several times I had to ask her to translate what she had just said to them. The park itself is worth a visit but we could have googled the bit of information that was delivered.

Perfect way to be introduced to Gaudi

Christina is a superb guide with a lovely manner. The Park was a visually eccentric treat! Allow a couple of hours. Thoroughly recommend.

Park tour

The guide gives a great overview of the history of the park with plenty of time to explore on your own. The walk up to the meeting point is very steep and could be difficult for some.

Pleasant experience. Our guide was a polite lady. To the point guidance. It could be a bit longer ,including a stroll around the park as well.

Would not recommend

I would not recommend this company for Park Guell. My husband and I were late by 10 minutes and the tour left without us, which is understandable. However, when we asked the operator if we could enter the park on our own without the tour, they refused. We had to call Viator's customer service and wait on the line for 20 minutes only to be told that we would have to wait another hour to enter the park. Unfortunately, we had to leave in order to catch our cruise ship. We requested a refund, which we have not yet received, and we are uncertain if it will be issued. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.

Cool place

Very interesting place and guid was so knowledgeable ! Make sure book in advance it’s sell out quick . Amazing views and great architecture.So worth it !

Excellent tour of an amazing place

We had a very good tour guide with Amigo tours. She was lively and clear and full of great information. The Park is amazing to behold.

Hard to locate the meeting place. Taxi refused to take use to the top of the steep hill. Waited over an hour for guide to show up with rest of group. The park itself was cool, but not worth the wait and long lines. Can see a lot from outside the walls.

Amazing tour

Park Guell is a beautiful place, with great architecture, and paisagism. the guide's knowledge of the place is very good.

Did not get to go on the tour

Tour cancelled last minute by tour operators . Alternative date offered was after my departure from Barcelona

Good tour

The tour gave details about Park Güell and main area. I did find the background helpful and interesting, however a little too long. I really enjoyed exploring the full park (up to very top and back down) on my own after the tour ended.

Good tour. Poor meeting point.

Overall the tour was good. There is an issue with meeting point. Steep climb, no cafe or toilets. We were exhausted. Not easy to find and then nowhere to rest

We had an appointment at...

We had an appointment at 18:15 and somehow the driver took the wrong road and it took 1 hour where it should take no more than 30 min. Called the agency but no flexibility as it was total unexpected / external cause. I would like a refund.

Not worth the money

The actual tour only lasted about half an hour not the hour stated. In fairness the guide was very knowledgable and I don’t think she could have told us any more.

Nice tour

Nice tour but with a lot of people. The one thing I didn't like was the time: at noon it's very hot and there a lot of people in the Park. I would much rather have a tour in the morning. However we saw all the important things, got enough time to make plenty of pictures and got to learn a lot.

Coukd be better organised.

This tour was advertised for 10.30 to midday. Not sure what the delay was but our tour in the park finally got underway at 11.10 and ended at 11.55. Very rushed. I couldn't stay in the park after the official tour as I had another tour to get to. The guide was informative.

Save your money, go by yourself

Horrible. Guide was bi-lingual, and tried to run us through the park. Waste of money. Late arriving and it was evident she didn't care.

Highly recommend this tour

Fabulous tour, David wad an excellent guide and we learned a lot of interesting information which we would have missed without a tour.

Hard to find the meeting point

We missed the tour because we couldn’t find the group and no one was able to help us after 45 minutes of trying.

Not the best experience we had for the price of the visit

The tour was pretty quick (only 50min), and the guide did not give many information. So we were pretty disappointed regarding the price we have put to have detailed information and a real dynamic walking tour, which was not the case.

Poorly organised

For a start the tour meeting point is in a remote area at the rear of the park. The tour was 45 mins late and none of the radios worked. The guide was very flustered and struggled for most of the tour as she had to yell to be heard over the crowd. The information was good but the organisation was poor.

Silvia was incredibly kind , informative and accommodating. She made herself available for questions and ran everything on time. Thank you Silvia for making our visit memorable.

Never choose amigo tour. Very unprofessional!

Really unprofessional handled by amigo tours. The first day we showed up at the meeting point at the right time. I girl in the shop (meeting point) said there was no tour that day. She was not a part of amigo tours but helped of calling them. Amigo tour said they have sent us a WhatsApp message with a cancellation. But we haven’t received anything. There was no explanation and gave us a new date. At the new date the guide was 20 minutes late, not very informative and left us in the park 20 minutes before the guided tour should have ended. Just with a message that we could go around by our self. I never choose amigo tours again. Everything was very unprofessional and just a bad experience.

Fabulous guided tour. Recommend highly

The guided tour by David made the visit to the Park meaningful. Without the story it would have lost all the magic. He delivered it so well and i really recommend this experience.

The park is amazing! Our guide David was such a wealth of information and explained in such great detail. i would highly recommend this tour.....it was my favourite.

Avoid booking through third party.

Poor experience. They cancelled the tour without appropriate notification. I asked for the refund and see what happens. Overall awful experience and wouldn't recommend.

Beautiful park! Great deal with the GoCity pass. David was a good tour guide with lots of enthusiasm and information. A must see in Barcelona!

Sunny visit at Park de Güell

We enjoyed our visit at Park de Güell. Our guide was profesional, warm hearted and personal. The way she explained was interesting and enthusiastic. We would book the AmigoTour again as it made it so easy for us. We would recommend the tour as you notice the guides are doing it by heart and with experience.

Nice tour guide, informative, though the tour was a little short. There is a lot to explore in the park that was not covered during the tour.

Very rude tour guide. Stat away even if it’s cheap

Guide ruined our day for no reason. She never introduce herself to us but she had purple hair and we had a tour on 4/26 at 12:15, so I hope her tour company can identify her. She was very very rude. We had an emergency with transportation and we were 15 min late. First it was impossible to find Amigo tours at the enterence at the park, no sign like they said they will have. Finally I saw tour guide with the group and ask her if she she is with Amigo tours. She rudely replied, Madame you are late and kept walking, they were not in the park yet but standing in th huge line to get in. When I just ask her for out tickets to the park she decided to let us in just to scold us in front of the the whole group for being sooooo late in 2 languages. It ways humiliating. Nobody was waiting for us and than we humiliated. What else you can ask for the tour you pay for ???? . Be aware if it doesn’t say only English, it will be in 2 or 3 languages so you will waste half or more of you time. Guide was very rude, I don’t think she likes tourists at all, especially English speaking. She was always put group under the sun Eventheougj there’s is shade close by. Jus a rude inconsiderate person. English part of her rap was 3 time shorter than Spanish.Her English was hard to uderstand anyways Stay away from Amigo tours and purple women who works For them is angry, rude and hates tourist Worst experience witn the guide/tour ever

Meeting point issues

I didn't get to go on the tour due to not being able to locate the meeting point. I was there earlier and did see anyone, I then went to the park entrance and was denied entry. I walked back to where we were supposed to meet and called the office. They told me the tour left and they didn't have another available. The area should be marked. I didn't was still charged for the tour. Being a tourist, you should make it easier to locate the meeting point.

Guiding not in English only as specified

Should be English only, but main time explanations in Spanish for the big part of group. Not recommended. Guide very pleased when we left group because then she could continue in Spanish only.

Historical and Amazed at Gaudi's Work. A Genius.

The Guide was very knowledgeable+informative. The Park was amazing and had stunning views. The Park had so much history and buildings were exquisite and the Gardens were Beautiful. We would visit again as there was so much to Absorb.

Just go visit the Park on your own book ahead

The park and architecture excellent The tour was awful We didn’t skip the line and waited 15 mins whilst the guide tried to get 30 persons admitted. The tour was bilingual not solely English and so a lot of hanging around. The commentary was dull and we didn’t really learn much about the site, Gaudi or anything special that we couldn’t have gotten from our phones. Many people left early on. Poor

Disorganized start for ultimately fine tour

We had booked a 9a tour through Viator that was cancelled 2 days beforehand, so we rebooked with a different tour through Viator for noon. I was really hoping for the 9a tour to avoid the crowds and I think that would have been a better experience. Once the tour started, it was FINE (not stellar) but the tour guides had SO many people checking in at the same place (for what turned out to be two groups: one in English, one in Spanish), it started off feeling very disorganized. Splitting up the two meeting locations would have gotten the tours started more efficiently & quickly.

Excellent. I learnt so much. Very interesting and informative. Our lovely was Sylvia and she clearly loves Barcelona and the parc.

Park Guell's visit was a nice experience in general

Everything was right but the meeting hour was changed without a previous information and it was frustrating for us because we had booked and another attractions as well.

Amazing experience

Excellent explanations and overview of Barcelona. Very nice walk through the park and the view of some of Gaudi's masterpieces.

Parc Guell

Very interesting visit. The tour guide provided lot of anecdots about the past history. She also provided suggestions for future visits. I recommend the visit.

Christine was an excellent tour guide. Easy to understand. Lots of great knowledge and gave excellent explanations of everything we saw in Parc Guell

Excellent guide

Our guide was informative, spoke clear English, and stopped to ask if there was any questions before moving on. There were some no shows for the tour, and we appreciated that we did not delay the tour for very long to wait for them. Skipping the line worked well for us as the day entrances were all booked, and the guide told us places to go after the tour to make the most of our time in the park. The park itself was ok, but not high on our list of recommended sites if you’re pressed for time. We had an extra day so this served well to fill part of the day.

Worth the money to get the narration...

Nice tour but a little short. Tour operator Al reds to have some small signage outside the gift shop where we were told to meet. We had no idea and thought we were in wrong spot. I messaged operator but no response. Woman who did narration was quite good and pleasant. Only gave a 4 due to no signage.

Lost our money

I can’t leave a good review because the location to meet the tour guide was off the beaten path, got lost going and turned around because we had to go up a dead end street and stairs that we weren’t aware of for some with a little mobility problem. The people at the meet spot were nice and tried to help, but ultimately the tour people told us too bad. No refund, no reschedule, not entry. We just lost our money.
